I moved out of one of StarPointes properties 2 months ago and received pretty much my entire deposit back other then carpet cleaning. My Buddy referred me to them and he had no issues with the deposit after he left either. We saw the reviews from other people but it sounds like they were held responsible for the damage they caused and if I were an owner I would appreciate that. Overall it was a good experience and they have nice properties. I’d rent from them again if I ever come back to the area.

The homes are some of the best in the area. They are well maintained, and clean. The staff was very friendly, and knowledgeable. Everyone I have spoken with who rented through them stated they have received a fair refund after move out, if not full refund, besides the required deductions as indicated in their lease.

Final update!Today we officially closed on our house, after signing 3 leases with Starpointe realty, one of their amazing realtors was able to help us get the home I have always wanted. Korrin was absolutely amazing, 8 months in the process of following up. The house is finally ours.Renting from them was a great experience through out the entire time. Buying from them was an even better one.Excellent experience with them definitely no complaints about anything!! Morgan has been so amazing. Such a wonderful company to rent from!!!Update!!!! - Been in the property going on a year now! & absolutely no complaints! All of the inspections have been a cake walk, They are always so pleasant! My son and I are leasing through Starpoint Realty, and we are very impressed with the way they conduct their business. I was staying with my son while trying to sell my house in Austin but after 5 months on the market without a contract I decided to lease it with Starpoint because:1. They do a deep credit history before leasing.2. They set standards for the renters to keep the property in the same condition as if it were their own house.3. They come out every 4 months and do an onsite inspection to make sure everything is being taken care of and to check to see if any repairs are needed.4. They set appointments with their maintenance staff so that property you are renting stays in good shape, or if you are an owner. You can feel confident that your property is in good hands.

After a frustrating year trying to sell my house in this market, I decided to rent it out. I called StarPointe and CJ and Lynn were so responsive, going out of their way to help me. Honesty, integrity and kindness are most important to me and they exhibited those qualities and more. As a recent widow, my brain is struggling and they both took time to explain, comfort and assure me. When CJ left my current home after fully explaining the process I felt as if a huge weight had been lifted. If converting property to a rental is on your mind, I cannot recommend StarPointe enough. I am sure their buying/selling experience would be the same quality assistance should you need a broker/realtor. I appreciate Lynn, CJ and StarPointe and know you will as well.

They were easy to work with and took care of any complaint or issue. Professional and helpful. However, they “got me” at move out time. I spent days wiping and cleaning every nook and cranny in that house even though I keep my house in pristine condition. You could eat off the toilets in that house when I was done and it was cleaner than when I moved in. It was a few weeks after we turned in keys before they actually did the move out inspection. I was asked to fertilize again before move out because the due date to fertilize fell right in the month we moved out, we did that. Then come to find out they took part of my security deposit. They sent someone out to dust the blinds and clean inside of oven (again) and said we are taking $250 for that! Then they took $100 because we took the initiative to spackle 3 holes we made from decor and painted the spackle with the matching paint THEY left in the garage. They had spot painted most of the walls before we moved in.. all in pictures. So whether you do it yourself or leave the holes, they will charge you either way. There were holes in one baseboard that were already there! Unfortunately ,I didn’t take pictures of the holes in the baseboard when I moved in cause I didn’t see them at the time so no proof of that one but everything else accounted for. Needless to say, they are a good reputable company but be very very careful at move in and take pictures of absolutely every teeny tiny spot or mark inside and out and list it! Try to get a house without carpets because you will be required to clean and pet treat all the carpets at move out. It’s not cheap. You also pay for fertilizing twice a year, a $40 per month fee for a filter and more for pet rent. As a military family we should have researched cost of utilities first before moving to the area because that water bill and electric bill killed us. They required us to water so much per week and it wasn’t cheap. Loved that house but disappointed that I spent so much time cleaning and lost over $400 at the end. Better than my entire and deposit I guess. Just be very diligent and record everything.

Love this company!! In a crisis one amazing person from the company dropped everything she was doing and picked up very important packages that was left at my front door. She literally dropped what she was doing and I’m helped me out so quickly!! I owe her and her company everything. My family just moved into our new home that we are renting through StarPointe. This has been the most pleasant renting experience Ive ever had. We had less than desirable credit and where other places would have denied us, starpointe gave us a chance with just a reasonable extra security deposit which we were completely ok with doing. Everyone in the office was so pleasant and helpful. They kept us updated throughout the whole process, and this is the only management company I have ever experienced that went so in depth to make sure we understood every word of our lease, and they didnt dodge the fine print about any possible fees for lease violations. I really cant think of a single negative thing to say. Just a big thank you to the entire starpointe team for getting my family into this beautiful home! We are eternally grateful!

Weve only been in our rental for one month, so if things change Ill make sure to update the review. Dealing with Starpointe versus the prior 4 property management companies weve rented under has been like going from Ma & Pa Clampet to a clean, professional, high-priced lawyers office. Starpointe has wonderfully professional staff, clear procedures, and a very thorough process in place for everything. We were a little hesitant when first applying, but the deeper we got into the process the more I realized just how well thought out and professional each step was. Once we moved in all of our questions and concerns have been addressed in a timely and well-managed way.For those who express concerns about communicating with Starpointe before signing the contract - I had no difficulty with them on the phone, by text or email, so I cant address those concerns.For communications after signing the contract, it took a couple of business days to get the tenant portal (for most info-only requests) and Meld (for maintenance requests) services set up, during which time I only communicated by email and was promptly answered. Once the tenant portal and Meld services were set up, I was able to communicate with Starpointe just fine. Indeed, I got an answer back about a request to add additional electrical circuits to the garage the day after putting in the message! Under ALL of my former management services this would have taken weeks to get an answer back, if ever answered back at all.Is Starpointe more formal than the norm for central Texas? Yes. But, if you follow their established procedures (all clearly spelled out before we signed anything or paid them any money) you shouldnt have any problems. And I for one am greatly enjoying the much higher level of professionalism they have!

It is extremely hard to find affordable rentals and its only getting harder. After losing hundreds of dollars on applications that would come back Approved, only to lose out to the prior applicant, I took a chance and applied with StarPointe and Im so glad I did! Ill admit this is the first time Ive ever paid the deposit WITH the application and I was very skeptical. The application took a little longer to process than expected, but Ms Pamela maintained contact and didnt mind me constantly bugging her for the status. The video chat walk-thru with Corine was so convenient and she was so helpful. Ms Pamela and Ms Corine definitely made my choice easy. You guys are amazing.

Update after moving out: Overall I had a decent enough experience and would recommend Starpointe for renters. There were a few red flag experiences, but nothing major. Repairs were handled quickly and they allowed you to schedule a time that was convenient for you.When I moved out, I thought I would get less of my deposit back, but got more than half. There werent any unreasonable charges. I actually thought I would have issues or a fine since I turned the key in to the drop box after hours but there werent any.I am no longer a tenant and rented from them for two years. There did seem to be some miscommunication between Starpointe and the owner of the home I was living in, but I did have to move out since they said the the property was no longer being used as a rental property. I was informed of this after I had already agreed to renew my lease again, so I was unexpectedly forced to find a new place to live at a time where rent for the type of place I was living was more than double what I was paying.My biggest gripe while living there were the quarterly inspections where they come to take pictures of your home. I like my privacy and having a stranger invade that four times a year is unnecessarily invasive. This is included in the lease, so it wasnt a surprise, it just made me extremely uncomfortable and is the ONLY reason I would never rent from Starpointe again.There were some questionable tactics they used at times revolving around their inspections (ie saying it was for sell and needing pictures, but the home was never listed; sending some big aggressive guy to my door saying the grass needed mowing and I missed an inspection; they will schedule them at the worst times and will not work with you on a better time).Initial review, made at lease signing: So far, StarPointe has made a good first impression. The lease was thoroughly explained in the video they showed as well as in person (kind of excessive, but I understand why they do this). There may be a few things I’m not looking forward to in the lease, but that’s just a part of renting, so I have no complaints. I haven’t had any issues so far throughout the application process, getting approved, and signing the lease. Will probably update this review in a few months after being a tenant.

The broker (forget his name) and Brandon are super nice and helpful. Madison and kadijah (I Think that’s her name) are sweethearts. My lease signing experience was wonderful, aside from the few bumps along the way which were my fault because I wasn’t prepared. But even then, they were very understanding and accommodating for me in the way of rescheduling my appointment for later that day to give me some time to get what I needed. They do things a little bit different than other places we’ve rented from, but not in a bad way. They just seem to be a little stricter and more efficient in what they do. We will see how they do now that I am officially a tenant but overall so far I am very happy with their customer service in the very least. :) can’t wait to move into my new place!

I also know a way in which to judge a good rental property management company is by the reviews left by tenants who are upset they are being held accountable for damages . Often times tenants leave a property in such a disarray the property owner is left with a huge repair bill! I’ve been involved in providing roofing services to Starpoint and have Frist hand experience on how quick Starpoint responds to a tenant call in and Starpoint incorporates drive by’s after most hard and windy rains to document possible property exterior damage! Starpoint exceeds all expectations I have for a quality and a professional reality management company!

My Family and I came into town on a Tuesday afternoon. We were having difficulties finding homes to look at that were available immediately, and were living in a hotel until we found something. My husband scrolled past a house managed by Starpointe, and called them immediately. Within 10 minutes we were in the house viewing it. Later that evening we put down the deposit, and filed the background checks. The next morning we had an approval and paid the remainder of the fees. They were busy Thursday so they couldn’t do our lease signing immediately, but they quickly got us in Friday morning. All in all from the time that we saw the house on Zillow until we moved in was a total of less than three days.Everyone in the office was very kind and courteous. The process was much smoother than we expected. When we got the keys on Friday there was a jammed lock on the front storm door. It took about an hour and a half for the maintenance person to get there, and they just disabled the locking mechanism on that part until the locksmith could come. The other door was working perfectly fine, so it was fine with us. They responded to our problem pretty quickly.The next night we realize the oven wasn’t working, and neither was the dishwasher. (Something to do with the wires or cords 🤷🏼‍♀️) but they had a technician out the very next (business) day to fix it and now we’re good to go. Today is one week since we first set foot in their office, and everything has gone pretty smoothly. The few issues that we have had they have solved in a manner that my family and I are pretty satisfied with. I specifically wanted to wait until we had handled of the few issues that we had before I reviewed them, and having done so I would still give them four out of five stars.

First, I dealt with Maria over the phone a couple times to set up an appointment to view a couple properties and she was so wonderful at answering ALL of my questions! I was able to schedule some viewings on my first available date. Amber then called to confirm my appointment and I met her at the property. She was GREAT and so very helpful and personable. We found our dream rent home on the first day of looking! This is my first time renting a house and to be doing it without my husband (who is currently deployed) was a little nerve-racking but that anxiety was eased after meeting these two ladies. I am so thankful for Maria for helping get all of our applications complete AND ON A SATURDAY! Despite some of the negative reviews, I am remaining hopeful and looking forward to doing business with this company!

Any issues I had were well documented and dealt with in a timely manner (Mickey came over at 0600, before the sun was fully up, to help me with the garage door opener)! They were very helpful to me, my two girls and my baby boy, as they were very understanding about our situation. I was able to get out of my lease early so I could finally get to my husband in Japan! I used a cleaning lady that the company uses, and did everything else I was supposed too and had no problems at all! Thank you to all at Starpointe, for everything you did for my family!

We just finished up a year-long lease with StarPointe and after all was said and done, felt we had a great experience. Keith, a leasing agent, was a huge factor in us choosing StarPointe. He spent nearly a week with us showing us various houses, and accommodated us after hours, and answered any and all questions I had in the leasing process. He was an absolute pleasure to work with. Once we rented, all work orders and home issues were completed and addressed in a timely manner. Upon move out, we went with their suggested companies for move out and carpet cleaning, and although it may have been an expense, the work was impeccable and guaranteed. We received nearly our entire deposit back, and we were thoroughly please with our experience from start to finish. Thank you for a great year!

We have not had any issues with rude or unprofessional behavior and we have definitely had our fair share of good, bad and horrible real estate companies.They arent there to hold your hand or bend rules for your accommodation. Its a business and they have to follow rules and regulations, just like the others in town.They cant do anything that you havent already agreed to in the lease. Read your lease agreement and discuss it. Dont just sign the pages! Those leasing forms are standardized, so all the companies use the same one with different terms marking it up.Also, it is law for them to let you break your lease do to a military move, but the law also specifies you must present orders. They cant just take your word for it.

We are first time home buyers and we were given Derrick Matthews name as a referral. Derrick exceeded our expectations. Hes patient and extremely knowledgeable. We gave him a description of what we were looking for. He did not disappoint us. From the first house he showed us until the home we selected, he was there with us throughout the entire process. He has been a blessing to us. He was there for the signing of the contract with DR Horton, all walk throughs (he was there before we got there placing blue tape throughout the home), home inspection, and closing.

Update: Were actually on our second rental with them, and its still been wonderful. Weve never had any issues at all; we sign our second lease tomorrow, June 21st. The only thing that was a little stressful was the house were currently renting was being sold, thats why we have to move. We really didnt want to move, but that was out of our control. Weve paid our rent on time each month and will continue to do so with the second lease. Weve been extremely blessed that we were able to another property with Starpointe. Everyone has been great to us! And weve been great to them. #thegordonsThank you! Thank you! Thank you! Were moving from the Fort Worth area to Killeen to be closer to family. We have a property that is being managed by Starpointe realty and we cant be more satisfied. They are awesome team of people that stay on top of things. I have to say most of these negative reviews are from tenants and not homeowners. (Wonder why???)They make sure property is take care of and it gives me a piece of mind.I wish they would open a office in DFW are so they could manage the rest of my properties.There is not better management company in the area for sure.I do agree with one of the reviews that states that Maria needs to work on her people skills for sure but wont stop me from working with this awesome company.

Well, knowing that the owner actually takes the time to read the reviews is awesome. Also, knowing that I can schedule a meeting is great. Thanks for replying :) To be honest the company is not THAT bad... I kind of over did it because of the conflict with the air conditioning... and the decision was actually in my favor. If you do rent from this company just make sure you check your email LOL... Other than that... its not so bad.PLUS 2 STARS FOR THE OWNER- Thanks for the reply.
