Renting a house from Roy Plat was a fantastic and rewarding experience. We got to know his total family which was a big plus. They all made you feel like family. He was very considerate when negotiating. He made sure that the house was properly cleaned to our satisfaction. He even split the cost on items we desired that were outside the scope of the contract. When we vacated the property after one year, he returned our deposit immediately without delay per the contract.With everything considered, if we needed to rent or buy a new property, we would use Plat Realty before even considering another agency.

Our property owner has recently transitioned to a new management company and having been residents under the management of Plat Realty for a substantial period of time, it feels only fair to leave them a heartfelt goodbye review. My wife and I move every 3 to 4 years, and I can tell you that Plat Realty stands out as one of the best property management companies we have worked with. We found them to be highly respectful, attentive, and proactive. We consistently felt valued as clients and can confidently state that they were always on the ball regarding our needs.If youre looking at reviews, know that most grievances aired in other reviews seem to be directed more towards the inherent nature of home ownership, regulation, HOA delays, and external factors and not specifically at Plat Realty.In my personal example, our AC unit broke down last summer, Plat Realty made sure to provide us with a temporary window unit within a couple of days, as they sorted out the logistics of installing a new AC unit. This was a nightmare. This was during a period when no one had AC units available (2021/22). I was upset that the rest of the house didnt have AC, but no HVAC company could get their hands on a Unit due to logistics / imports / shortages.My wife and I were upset, but we were upset at the situation - something that was completely outside the hands of Plat Realtys team. They were good at communicating the problems with us, kept us in the loop, and pretty much walked us through what was happening next.If youre thinking about renting from them, or if youre thinking about having them manage your property, know that youre at the very minimum, youll get communication, attentiveness, and actually be treated like an adult / human.

I rented a nice house in Allen from Plat in 2018 and just moved out of state last month. Roy and his team were always responsive to whatever maintenance requests I had, being timely, friendly and professional in all dealings. Royhimself was always gracious when I had emergency issues, always answering his phone on weekends if necessary. Amy was great to deal with in the office as was Yadira. The maintenance people were always well-versed with the property…John knew the house well, and Brian and Sherrie handled the sprinkler system well! I forgot the exterminator’s name but he was a hoot and did a great job! I recommend Plat Realty to anyone!

Roy and his associate, Amy, were a good find. We live in Nevada but bought a home in Frisco, TX in 2016 expecting our son to live there and pay reasonable rent each month. Then our son decided to move back to NV and we found ourselves with a far-away home and a need to find a reliable property manager to help us rent out the house. Our son recommended Roy Plat and it turns out that his recommendation was right on.As a property manager Roy and Amy got our home rented out right away. They kept me apprised of any issues that arose. If a problem arose with the property Roy or Amy would let me know so we could take care of it promptly.When in January, 2019 I decided to sell the home I let Roy know and, given his track record with me, and knowing that Roy knew the property well, I chose him to be my sellers agent. He provided me with the benefit of his knowledge and experience and we got the home sold without undue delay and at a reasonable price.If you want a real estate office that you can trust you cannot go wrong with Roy Plat Realty. He and Amy are great people who are experienced, honest and conscientious. And after he got our home sold he sent us a beautiful and tasty Edible Arrangement (fruit basket). 7 years ago we had a plan to move to Frisco, Texas. A local friend ours recommended Plat Realty to us. Mr Roy Plat helped us in buying a beautiful house in Frisco. Later the plans were changed and we could not make the move to Texas. At that time Roy told us the best option is to lease it out and sell it when the market gets better. We went with his advise and Roy was able to lease and manage the property all these years with multiple tenants move in and move out. Every time Plat Realty handled all the process without any issues. We have never seen the property after buying it. Plat Realty sold our house this summer within a week after the tenants moved out. All these years all aspects of the business were taken care by Plat Realty and the staff. It was a very good experience. If we decide again to invest in Texas we would use Plat Realty again and we highly recommend them to any one who is considering to invest in North Texas.

My housemates and I rented a home from Plat Realty from June 2018 to June of 2019 and could not have had a better experience with a property agency. For starters, all the staff were very pleasant to work with, and great to talk to whenever I was up at the office as well as fast to reply to emails with any questions I had. The home itself was in great condition when it was lent to us, and expectations for care and move out requirements were very upfront and clear in the lease agreement. We had one or two maintenance issues crop up while living on the property (not due to negligence!) and Plat Realtys team was quick to respond and assist with anything that we needed. Any conflict we had between us and the Plat Realty office was handled quickly with clear communication, which is exactly what I expect from a property management company. Plat Realty is a great agency, and I know exactly who I will be reaching out to in the future if I need a house in the area. Thanks again for an awesome experience!

During that time, he and his crew were responsive to any request; usually within 24 hours.Everyone involved in Plat Realty was friendly and professional. Our experience with the staff of Plat Realty was very positive for the most part. We were never promised anything that was not provided. Maintenance requests were always handled promptly, generally by very competent service people. When there were issues, follow-ups were made promptly as well. There were a few issues with the house and yard that were not resolved to our satisfaction, but seemed to be due to circumstances with owners desires versus our expectations at the time. The main issue I had at the end of our dealings, was in the hope we had that we might have more clarity concerning the effectiveness of our final efforts in getting the house ready for the walk-through, and what we should expect regarding our deposit refund. I understand the company has a responsibility to the owner, and only is responsible to the tenant as far as what is stated in the lease, which we agreed to. That being said, a little more courtesy per our request for information would have been appreciated. In our final assessment, even with our issues with some of the physical specifics of the house and yard, we look back and are generally happy with how we were treated as tenants by Plats representatives.

Roy Plat is the owner of Plat Realty and he is the professional that I would use in in my next real estate transaction. I have met hundreds of agents because I am a broker in Texas, California, Indiana and Florida and no other agent has shown me more knowledge and professionalism than Mr. Plat. He has the training and professional credentials that set him apart from 99% of the usual agents that work in his field. Roy works full time in the industry each day putting the customer needs above his own. He is a creative negotiator which is a benefit to the client. Even though I have 30+ years in the industry Mr. Plat could teach me new valuable concepts. I would recommend Mr. Plat to everyone including my children.

We just completed 2 years of renting a home in Prosper through Plat. I rarely leave reviews, but I have to admit we had a great experience with Plat. Ive had bad experiences with rentals in the past, and Im happy to say Plat is the best! No rental experience is ever perfect, for example...our AC went out twice, and the microwave broke twice. But its clear Plat did everything they could to fix the situation quickly! Weve moved to a different area, and no longer rent, but wed rent though Plat again if our living situation changes. They are a trustworthy company, and should be recognized for being great since other property management companies are not.

We used Roy Plat Realty for a single family house rental property in Plano for about 2-1/2 years (between 2012 and 2014). What I appreciated most about Roy Plat was their responsiveness when our renters had repair issues in the house. RPR kept the place rented at a fair price, too. He took care of us as the owner, and took care of the tenants, all in a hassle free manner - and that is worth its weight in gold. He was open and clear (and reasonable) with the fee structure, and when we eventually decided to sell, we found his commission very competitive (and better than a realtors fee). The house sold in just over a month. Overall we were satisfied with Roy, and even recommended him to other rental owners.

Having to relocate because of work is never an easy task, specially if it needs to be done in hurry, with a family and a school age kid you dont just sell your house overnight and be done. I then found Roy who laid it to me very clearly what was real, he offered options and made me understand each one, I opted to rent at first and then sell it, Roy was able to handle both from start until finish. I moved into a house that hadnt been rented with Plat Realty before. Quite honestly, it was not in great shape. They acknowledged the issues and promised to work with me on it. I called in enough maintenance tickets to get on a first name basis with everyone there. Everything was done quickly and with high quality.What are you looking for when renting from someone? Here is my list:1. Maintenance is handled quickly, with quality, and without fuss.2. If I pay my rent on time, I dont want to be bothered.3.
