Pam was polite and understanding working with us. We were really blessed having her answer all of our questions. Other property management companies have high requirements like 3X rent per person. We actually didn’t think we would qualify to lease the house we wanted to lease. We were really in need of moving to another home due to a domestic situation where we had been living. I’d be really w want Pam to help us if we needed to lease again.

My first time renting with JWC and the application process was very easy to use. Sonia Olivas was very helpful, attentive, prompt, and consistent with my application process and I was key ready for my move in date which was a day later. Sonia was very reassuring and is a shining reflection of JWC. When I came in to fill out the paperwork for my lease and agreements the lady at the desk was kind and obliging. And made me feel very comfortable with understanding the terms and conditions of our contract.Overall I feel very safe with my decision of renting from JWC with the great staffing and their accommodations. Just recently, I was in contact with Annie Leasing Coordinator regards to a service animal along with a few questions that have arised. Annie is extremely professional, super sweet lady, helpful and a pure joy to conduct business with. I was also in contact with Tonya Property Evaluator... I had some questions and had trouble sending documents. She was kind enough to have me email her so she could get them to the right person... which was Annie. These two ladies are absolute sunshine. JWC has some really kind, caring and helpful employees that we have had the pleasure of doing business with for going on 11 years, January 2025.

So Mr. Wright has been around for a very long time. He owns a lot of properties around killeen texas, I also rented from the company years ago, and I never had any issues. If you have any maintenance issues. They are very prompt about fixing them. I also stay next door to one of his warehouses that he rents out, and I called about a fence that has been knocked down by people jumping over it from the apartments nearby. I think they sent someone out just to look at it. Were just waiting for them to replace it.

I just want to take the time to leave a review for Ms. Lita Ramirez. This last week I had applied at 1am and by 830am that same morning I had heard from her. I was in disbelief with how fast I had a response. I also really appreciated the fact that she was working with me and my work schedule. She took the time to explain everything, and was very patient with me. I am currently going through a divorce and this is the first real place on my own, so it’s scary!!! I just want to thank her for everything she has done and for just being so kind, funny, compassionate, and remained professional throughout the whole process especially during this time. She is the definition of great customer service and going above and beyond!!! Annie was excellent, she was very helpful, informative, speedy response times and gave 100% in assisting me in all the ways that I needed being that I am not in the city of Killeen trying to make this transaction happen. She coached me the entire way through the process of getting my power of attorney for the document signing done for my family member so all I’d have to do is just just move right in when the time comes. Definitely a great first experience in landing a rental property here in Texas and who to do it better than JWC. Went in on a Friday and was pleased to meet Lita Ramirez, whom handled my whole process. If you’re not familiar, you get the keys of the properties you want to check out and go and browse them. Come back then have to do the application, which actually got approved the same day. Talk about a quick process, Lita was clear with everything answering any and all questions. Deposit placed Monday and keys on Tuesday. A smooth process and they work with you. Thank you again Lita from JWC!

I rented with JWC for three years. Moving in was quick and easy, move-in inspection was thorough. All maintenance needs were addressed in a timely manner, and even when they said it may be hard to find someone due to holiday or weekend it was handled promptly on the next business day. In my case, I think charges were fairly assessed and they even sent a letter to give to future property managers. My advice is to have the property professionally cleaned to reduce the likelihood of a cleaning fee and follow the lease addendum and move out packet to restore the property the best you can. Any paperwork, payments or notices, turn them in on time and stay on top of it, make sure all is in order before walking away.

Awesome rental company! When we put in work orders, they were quickly taken care of. We love the patient portal! All of the photos of the house taken before move in were all on our portal. It also made it very easy to place work orders and make our payments. Upon move out, they recommended cleaning companies, which made it easier for us. We did pick one of those carpet cleaning companies. We put in our move out notice at least a month before and received our packet to fill out. We did so and had no problems. We followed the cleaning and move out checklist. Our move out date was on the weekend, so I simply put all of the house keys in an envelope labeled with our names and address and dropped them in the drop box at JWC. It worked out perfectly. They did their inspection after the weekend, and I received my entire deposit back in a month. Great company to work with.

There’s a ton of reviews for this company that would scare you away. I rented through JWC for 2 years and honestly have very few complaints if any. Maintenance requests were assigned a vendor quickly. I was most concerned for move out in terms of getting “gouged” due to all the horror stories others have left behind on here but it wasn’t the case at all. Honestly, just read the lease agreement you signed and follow the terms closely and you’ll be just fine.PS, finding a rental around a military installation isn’t going to be easy anywhere, it’s not just JWC. Just be proactive and move quickly. I found a house and moved on it immediately, no issues.PPS, I guess my only complaint is that upon move out I received a cleaning fee. I cleaned the house far more than what it was when I moved in. I’m talking used paint buckets in the middle of the garage. If you move out and don’t provide a receipt from a cleaning service, I’d imagine they plan on automatically charging you a cleaning fee… now if they actually use that money to hire a cleaning crew.. anyones guess.

JWC has been good to me so far I have so much to say about them. I would give them five stars or ten if I could but the only reason I havent is because I just moved in and still have so much to experience with them. Let me start by saying Im not from here and I was scared at first with the whole moving and finding a place to stay and after doing my research and reading the reviews I was scared to give them a try. Well let me say Im happy I did. I went in and Miranda and Sonia was so helpful at first it was a slight misunderstanding I look at a property that had already been approved and when i got ready to do my application they realize the mix up. They ask me if I like any other properties at the time I had one in mind but I hadnt saw it. They were getting ready to close and they still worked so diligent with me because their supervisor kisha approved for them to do so. Thanks so much Ms. Kisha. I was leaving out the same day heading back home and they figure out away to make sure everything worked out in my favor and I appreciate them. My inspection was the next week I was approved the next day. When meeting the inspector he was very friendly and made me feel welcome Keep in mind I know no-one here. His name was Joaquin and he went over everything with me and was really helpful. After my inspection and having to put in work orders I had to deal with David which was really friendly too. Never made me feel bad for needing things done that needed to be taken care of. JWC made me feel like family it hasnt been a month yet but so far so good I just dont understand were the negative reviews came from. I dont write a lot of reviews but when Im treated good by the whole team or blessed by things that were in my favor I like to be a blessing to others. Thanks JWC!Love Brittney Sayles!

Dawn (my realtor) made the entire process very easy and stress free for us.I understand that there can be obstacles in the real-estate business, however, Dawn managed to keep everything under control and kept me updated throughout the process. She was able to get an offer on the first day of showing and closed the deal shortly after that.Basically, Dawn went above and beyond for us and we are very thankful. We had a great experience with them! My husband is military and we had to end our lease early for his deployment ( I went home). We got our full deposit back and had absolutely no trouble! So no, they do not screw over military. They even wrote us a recommendation for future rental companies. For all of you military spouses out there trying to research which company to use, you can trust JWC. Honestly, you just need to read the terms and conditions on move in/move out. The people that write bad reviews are the ones who probably dont take care of the property like they are supposed to and do not follow the contract. READ IT! Overall, GREAT company! Ive rented 2 properties now with JWC and love them! I know they get a lot of bad talk in this area about scamming and poor customer service and withholding deposits upon move out. I have not had a single problem with them! My work orders get taken care of within 1 week, they are always very nice and polite, and its too convenient being able to pay my rent and do everything online. I cant say that those who give this company a bad review are wrong in any way, but I have not seen any behavior that is characteristic of any bad reviews this realtors has received. And they have the largest selection of properties to choose from! Obviously they are doing something right if they are still making such great business despite all the people making poor claims against them. I wont rent through anyone else in this area ever again! JWC has managed my property for almost two years. My house was rented within the first weekend of availability. Two maintenance issues have been resolved during this time--dryer repair and hot water heater replacement. I was notified of work orders through the owner portal which is convenient for documentation. This review is only four stars because of communication issues. You will be unable to reach the maintenance department on Saturday unless it is an emergency issue. I was unable to get any live person on the phone on a Saturday (during business hours) for my first work order--in any department, no returned VM either. For both work orders, I had to get involved contacting vendors and warranty companies. So, I cannot say that it was a completely worry-free experience. Moving forward, I will only work with DeAndrea for maintenance issues. She is professional, communicates well and has great accountability.

We have been with JWC for years, and would not go to another rental company. They have a great volume of renters so our property has never been empty. We have recently moved our Salado house to them as well. I have read the negative comments on here and this is my response. As an owner, remember that your property is an investment. It requires maintenance like fresh paint every few years, fresh carpet, and to stay on top of even the smallest repairs. As a renter, maintain your own records. No house/apartment/duplex is perfect. If there is damage or non working aspects of the home you have rented document it yourself. Take your own pictures and maintain a paper trail. JWC has had some staffing issues, but it is my experience that as soon as they find out about any such issue they handle it. They handle it quickly and efficiently. I can honestly say that JWC is the only property management company that we will use.
