It was 2009 I was looking for a place to stay I was self-employed I had no credit I didnt have bad credit I just have not established any credit no one would give me a break but April Realty did. In 2016 I was given custody of my kids and I needed a bigger place, again April Realty came to the rescue and offered me a nice three bedroom home I still had no credit but I had good history with bills and rent payments. Recently in April 2004 the owner of the house that April Realty was renting to me sold the house, April Realty found me a house that was as nice or better and made my move a smooth transition. I see that there are some negative reviews but I find if you do what youre supposed to do everything goes pretty smoothly and I feel like April Realty especially the owner David Allen has been a blessing in my life for me and my kids

I was hesitant to rent from them because of so many bad reviews but they had a nice property at a good price and many of the reviews seemed older so maybe they have turned things around. So, I decided to go for it.So far, so good. I moved into one of their rentals a couple days ago. The woman at the reception desk taking my application was kind and answered my questions thoughtfully. Sylvia, who seems much more strictly business (which is fine, just dont expect a particularly warm welcome from her and make sure you read/follow her instructions well) came in on a Saturday to help me get into the new place fast which I was very grateful for. The maintenance man came out promptly when I noticed a couple small things that needed to be fixed. House/appliances seem to be in great condition especially for the price, and someone from the office has responded to all my many questions in a timely manner.This is the first time I have rented from someone who didnt actually own the property and I was skeptical at first but so far very content with my experience.Will update as my experience with the company continues.

We had a great experience renting through April Realty! Their maintenance team were fast to respond and efficient to fix any issue we had. Upon move out we felt several of the cleaning charges were excessive and they were fair to review them and remove them from our bill. Would recommend!

People are so quick to leave a negative review but never take the time to leave a good one. I have been living in a house they manage for 2 months now and I can tell you this much.....If you call them, they answer the phone. If you call them with a concern they address it right away. We purchased a water softener and called asking for help with installation. The owner answered the phone and said he would take care of it and the next day it was done. He didnt help me with the installation he actually just had it installed. I had an issue with a door not properly closing, they came in took the door off the hinge shaved it and made the door fit. Keep in mind they dont own the house they just manage the property for the owner. Also this was a house they just took over management of.In the beginning the staff informed me that this was a new property to their company so if there are any problems at all just pick up the phone and call. And in 2 months I have called 4 times and all 4 times somebody answered the phone and the issue was dealt with.The carpets were in decent condition before we moved in during pre-inspection they went through the trouble of having new carpets put in. With the amount of properties they manage Im shocked nobody has come through to leave good reviews.If you have concerns they will address it. The sad part is when people have concerns they call in complain and give attitude. Keep in mind the person you are talking to didnt build the house or cause the problems that you are going through. What ever happened to common courtesy? I bet if we look at the complaints compared to the amount of properties they manage its more than likely less than 0.5% of people who are actually complaining if that at all.People should work on being polite about resolving issues instead coming out with guns blazing. This isnt elementary school for petes sake....

They have managed some properties we own for the last 4 years, they do a good job. We have used different services before them, and although they miss some maintenance items now and then, overall they are very good. David Allen knows more about Austin property and what it takes to keep it rented than anyone I have ever met here in Austin.

Been renting from them for 5 years. Absolutely love them. Worked with me when I changed jobs and had a delay of income. Fixed any and every issue I have ever had with the house. Always in a super timely manner. The maintenance crew is amazing.

AMAZING, HELPFUL, TRUSTWORTHY-We are 14 year clients and have received EXCELLENT, PROMPT, PROFESSIONAL, CORTEOUS, THOROUGH, and FRIENDLY service for the ENTIRE time period!!! We live out-of-state and April Realty has handled every issue with multiple properties perfectly. We have NEVER had to get involved in any issue whether it be with tenants, neighbors, associations, the city, county, or state. Our monthly statements are complete and every penny is accounted for - and their fees are very fair and reasonable, especially in comparison to what other companies charge and the service level we receive. Any calls weve made were answered and/or returned immediately, and any questions were addressed, answered, and explained thoroughly and promptly. **PLEASE NOTE - This is only my 2nd review of ANYTHING ever, and the one other I did was only to get an instant discount on an item...thats how pleased we are with April Realty!!! I was away from home and just went online to look up their address and saw the 3 rating and thought that was outrageous and SO wrong and such a misrepresentation of the quality and character of their service and work ethic. We are very fortunate and grateful to have the benefit of their services! Thank you to the entire staff of April Realty!!!!!
