Sonya helped my fiancé and I find and buy our first house. We could not have asked for a better experience and a more supportive realtor! Sonya and Chloe Banks were there for us through every step and were incredibly responsive to all of our questions. With so many other concerns (interest rates, the overall housing market, etc) it was so nice to know that Sonya and Chloe were making sure we were getting the best deal on our dream house! I firmly believe she is one of the elite agents in Austin, and just an amazing, caring, and ethical individual. Sonya has been helping Austinites buy and sell homes for 20 years, and no one is more knowledgeable about local markets. She is one of the few people who can offer you a competitive advantage as a buyer or a seller. We have worked with her on four transactions. Each time she has worked tirelessly for us, as I am certain she and her team do for all her clients. She is so very well connected, so both knows about homes before they go on the market and has a list of buyers eagerly waiting before you put yours on the market. Sonya is an angel, a magician, a shark, an artist and a rock solid pillar. If you are looking to buy or sell in Austin you would be out of your mind to use anyone else but Sonya. She has the patience of a glacier and the certainty of a bolt of lightning. Sonya always did everything she said she would do. If you want to sell your home, quickly, and make a lot of money, just do what she says. If you want to buy your dream home, just do what she says. We listened to Sonya, sold our home quickly for top dollar and found our dream home. In this market, that would NOT have happened if we had been working with anyone else. I first met Sonya back in 2005, as she was just starting out in Real Estate, working with her mom, Karen. They both helped me buy my third home at that time. When I decided I was ready to leave home ownership behind in 2018, I never questioned who I was going to work with, it was going to be Sonya and Karen again. They were able to get me an offer I could not refuse before the house even hit MLS.Then COVID hit and I realized I needed more space than my apartment provided me. But, I wasnt sure what I wanted. Sonya was there from day one in July 2020, as I weeded out options to narrow down my wants. Then the craziness hit the Austin market and I became very buyer shy. She totally understood and stood down.A day later, I had the brilliant idea to look at new, and thus, Sonya and I started a whole new search. With her guidance, I was able to successfully make a winning bid and signed a contract to build my dream home in April 2021. In February 2022, I closed on said dream home.I could not begin to imagine going through the past 20 months without Sonya by my side.Having grown up in Austin, she knows the area from Kyle all the way up to Georgetown, Drippings Springs all the way east to Bastrop. N one word… Sonya is AMAZING. In more words, she was incredibly responsive, EXTREMELY patient, deeply knowledgeable, and in my opinion the best agent in the greater Austin area.My wife and I were first time homebuyers. We were very concerned with buying the right house, specifically from a financial perspective (ya know, things like… the house being a good investment, it not being a ‘lemon’, it being re-sellable in the future, etc.). Sonya showed us a handful of houses, and patiently walked us through the investment-angle, the pros/cons, and the livability of each home. And slowly but surely, she helped us to realize not only what we did and did not want… but also what houses were good investments and which weren’t.After about 10 days of working with Sonya, my wife and I found the house that we knew we wanted as our forever home. So that same day, Sonya helped us craft and send our offer. Now… to be honest, we were extremely nervous placing that offer, because we knew the home already had multiple offers… and we REALLY wanted to live there.And that’s when Sonya became a magician. Seriously, I think she waved a magic wand to get us this home. To put this in more serious terms, I have no doubt in my mind that the ONLY reason we were able to get this home over the other bidders was because of Sonya.If we ever sell our home, we will use Sonya for it. If we buy another home/apartment/land/etc., we will use Sonya. If my friends/family need to buy a home, I would recommend Sonya. I cannot recommend her enough.

Wed use Sonya a million times over, but thankfully no need because we already got our dream house. My wife and I got the first house we wanted in the middle of the 2021 real estate market madness, and the process wasnt even that painful.Sonya came recommended to us by super trustworthy friends so we didnt need to look any further. I wanted to work with someone who would understand not only what we wanted in a house, but what we wanted in a community. Also someone who would get us the best house at the best price, obviously. Sonya delivered.She helped us figure out that we wanted a new construction house and then figure out what neighborhood and what builder we wanted. We werent ever pressured into spending more than we were comfortable with. She helped us figure out a strategic and competitive offer that wouldnt make us totally broke (in a nightmare of a sellers market--I would have been so stressed coming up with this number on my own). We got a new construction house and she went with us at every step of the way, including just looking at the empty plots before we put in an offer. There is a lot that goes into buying a new construction house, and Sonya handled all the details, letting me (anxious, control-freak, type-A perfectionist) pretty much relax throughout most of the process. Maybe not relax, but at least trust that everything was being done and that she would remind me if I needed to do something.Everyone from her office is also great. In addition, we used a loan officer that Sonya recommended for the mortgage (we got rates from lots of lenders, but theirs was the best). This was also a huge asset to us, as our loan officer was wayyyyy more organized and helpful than the construction companys preferred lender. Shockingly more organized.Also I didnt expect to feel like friends at the end of the process. Thanks Sonya for being cool! :)
