Rick Gilson became our realtor in Corpus Christi, TX as we were searching for a second home near the University. New to Texas and unfamiliar with the area he provided us the layout of the land and the type of communities we should look in and where we should avoid. We were only in town a few days and looked at several properties. The day we found a home we were very interested in the seller pulled the listing off the market, but that did not stop Rick! It was an LLC and the owners were not easy to identify, but he found them and convinced them to allow us to look at the property closer. The property was in terrible shape but that scared no one. We had inspections done and became comfortable with the bones of the home. The owners were difficult to work with, but once again that didnt scare off Rick. He pushed back on the seller and we eventually walked away with a contract to settle within 30 days. Rick provided us personal references and contacts to get quality work done affordably. We settled on the home today. Contractor is lined up to begin work tomorrow. All this, and we are about 24 hours away by car. Rick earned our trust and has proven to be an outstanding realtor and friend that is always willing to go the extra mile while enthusiastically sharing ideal locations to stay and play in HIS town. No request was too big or too small. He dealt with each with equal enthusiasm and veracity. We are extremely lucky to have run into Rick. He went above and beyond with our real estate needs and we have forged a wonderful friendship which we look forward to cementing in the very near future as we prepare our new home to live in. Rick was fantastic to work with, he went above and beyond to help us find the perfect home for us and what we were looking for. He was very thorough and patient working through multiple home inspections and offers that were not accepted, and very good at responding right away to keep us informed about everything that was happening through the entire purchase process. Even several months later after closing he is still quite helpful with questions and keeps in touch to see how we are doing. Without his help we would not have found our beautiful new home. We are very grateful and many thanks to Rick and all his hard work!!
