I recently toured this apartment complex and was met with the most incredible staff personnel. Her name was Keegan and she clearly had my best intentions in mind. she was eager about her job and answered every question I had. She made the experience quite enjoyable and I’m looking forward to coming back!

Ever since Greystar took over things are actually getting done. Work order turnaround time is quick. Any complaints are always handled. I move in August of 2022 and although the front office staff was nice, it felt like complaints fell on deaf ears. Nothing would ever get done, whenever I would ask for an update from maintenance, they were always waiting on the office to order things or pay the bill and that would take weeks, sometimes months.When my friends unit flooded, due to no fault of their own, management wanted them to pay to move them. A bunch of their stuff was ruined and the voicemail the left made it sound like it was the most minor leak and there was nothing to worry about. Her roommate ended up calling me, when I went to see the damage, the ENTIRE unit was soppy. It smelled like mildew, and it was already late in the afternoon. They tried making it sound like they were trying to call her but again the voicemail left was so vague and made the leak seam so minor. Had she not threatened the manager with getting lawyers involved they would have made her stay in that unit. Ive noticed with Greystar leaks and all other major issues are EXPEDITED and they dont play around. They have vendors next day. With the new management they are quick to nip things in the butt.All the renovations they are doing around the property are great. The new TV by the pool as well as the functioning fireplace is an AMAZING addition to Uptown. Little things like this makes me want to stay here far past graduating. I cant wait to see how they plan on renovating the front office, gym, and the dog park.

I’ve lived at Uptown Square Apartments for 4 years straight now and if that doesn’t say enough about how much I love it here then I don’t know what does. The pool is amazing, we have a trash valet service so it always gets taken out for me, I get to have my very own reserved parking spot, and maintenance is always so quick to fix anything that’s wrong. Even if that includes getting me new appliances! The property is also currently being completely renovated, (as if it couldn’t get better) so i’m super excited for that. The amenities are great and we’re even getting a newly renovated gym. I truly feel like i’m in paradise, so much so, that I’ve renewed for a 5th year :)

I had the absolute pleasure of working with Reilley Joseph, a leasing agent at UpTown Square apartments, and I can confidently say that she went above and beyond in every way. Recently, after a medical procedure, I was struggling with an oversized package I couldnt lift due to my doctors restrictions. Reilley not only offered to help but personally carried the package all the way to my apartment. Her kindness and willingness to assist in such a thoughtful and considerate manner truly made a difficult situation so much easier for me.What impressed me even more was how Reilley followed up with me afterward. She called to check in and make sure I was doing okay, reassuring me that if I needed anything else, I should feel free to reach out to the front office. It’s rare to encounter such genuine care and exceptional customer service, and Reilley’s dedication to making her tenants feel valued and supported was truly remarkable. She is a shining example of what excellent service should look like, and I’m so grateful for everything she did.

I’ve lived here for two years and had a fine time. I’ve had minimal problems that were taken care of pretty swiftly. Maintenance is helpful and staff is nice. My favorite features are the large kitchen and the pool. My only gripe is people don’t pick up after their dogs and the property smells bad. Overall I had a good experience.

I did my bachelors at Texas State and now I’m doing the Grad program here too! Ever since I was a freshmen, I wanted to live at Uptown Square. Now that I do it honestly has already been so amazing. The office staff is so friendly and make you feel so welcomed. I can’t single any of them out because they are all so amazing. The pool is absolutely stunning!! Every apartment has its pros and cons, but this apartments cons are very minimal and even if you need to fix something, you can always go to the office and they will help you. I love living here and I cannot wait to make more friends and memories at Uptown Square!!

I lived at uptown square for two and a half years and it was my home away from home and I’ll miss it so much. Lauryn and Rachel always made sure things got done when asked. The rest of the team was equally knowledgeable and super kind every time I called with a question, and made sure they sent community emails regarding anything important. The maintenance team would handle my work orders within 1-2 days they were placed and super profesional and nice. I never once had an issue with not feeling safe nor did I ever see any bugs other than some ants but the pest control handled it quickly! So I would recommend uptown to any of my friends !

Update: I have renewed with them twice now because how much I love the apartment and management! Since those problems Ive mentioned below, I have not needed to call for maintenance. I have been blessed to have a good sturdy apartment with minimal to no issues. Also, the employees and management are very sweet and helpful! Whether is having a small chat or needing help with things, they have always been really coo. The complex is beautiful and pretty low-key, I prefer having a quieter complex and so far I have not had any issues with neighbors being too loud. I highly recommend living here if you can!Last yr post: I recently moved here this fall semester and so far I really enjoy the place. Its really quiet, my neighbors are really cool, management is really nice and helpful, and the apartment itself is beautiful including its amenities. Ive had a couple issues with my AC breaking, but within 24 hours maintenance came and fixed it. My bathroom sink and bathtub have had issues with the drains being clogged, within 24 hours of me putting in a maintenance request everything has been fixed. I love how fast maintenance comes and fixes any problem and theyre also really nice too.

I lived at Uptown Square August 2017–December 2018 during my last year and a half of school. I lived in the studio unit and absolutely LOVED my time there.Uptown Square has been my favorite apartment to live at (out of 6 total apartments). Though my unit was small (425 sqft, to be exact), it was honestly well laid out and I really did love my little studio. It worked perfectly for me, and was just the right amount of space for one person.They really do a great job of maintaining the property and keeping it clean and keeping things working like they should. The fitness center was my favorite amenity, it had all you could need to work out with and they did a phenomenal job of keeping it clean. The pool was always fantastic; looks just like the website.Parking was never really an issue if you were a resident; however, visitor parking was pretty limited. Honestly, if I had to pick something bad, it would be the visitor parking, but since this is a college apartment, and it has all these great amenities, AND its in a great location, its pretty obvious that visitor parking is going to be an issue.The staff were always so nice and helpful, and they did a great job of keeping residents aware of events, notifying of any package deliveries, and letting residents know about important information.Overall, I really enjoyed my time here, I wished I had moved here far sooner and had skipped the pains of living at any other apartment in San Marcos.

There are so many great things I could say about Uptown. I have lived here now for two years and will be going on my third year in the fall. I would have to say that the experience here has been great. I am in a studio apartment and have loved it and the layout of the apartment. The pool is phenomenal. The gym is a great place to get a good workout in. The front office staff is so helpful and always willing to work with you no matter the situation. It has been a pleasure living here and I will definitely miss it after I graduate.

I have had the BEST experience living here at Uptown Square. The staff is remarkable! They even sent me chocolates to my door for Valentines Day. Ive never had a more personalized experience. The apartments are great, no issues with bugs, loud noise or anything like that. Parking is super easy! The internet is free and fast. The pool speaks for itself just check out the photos. Shopping is super close (HEB, walmart and Target). Sign here if you want a great living experience while living in San Marcos.

Uptown has been a complete safe haven for me since the second I walked into their office! The staff is wonderful and will always find a way to help! The amenities are resort like and gorgeous; they really make it feel way more luxurious than any other student housing! The apartments are super spacious with big walk in closets and huge bathroom spaces. The complex itself is always kept up with by the workers and is overall definitely the best student housing in San Marcos! The location is right next to the campus with awesome bus routes as well! I’ve lived in a ridiculous amount of different housing in San Marcos and I can promise you uptown is worth it!

The amenities are nice the only thing i would say is that i hope they fix the gates soon & renovate the gym. Other than that it’s definitely one of the best places to live in San Mo!

This is my second year here and I’ve had an amazing experience with everyone. Maintenance requests usually get done within 24 hours. The office staff is great. I sublet last year and they were so helpful. This year, after getting a new roommate, I found myself being put in terrible situations. When it went from bad to worse, the office had me moved into a new apartment the next day and did everything they could to make the transition smooth. You can tell that they truly care about your experience and life here, and it’s much appreciated.

I have lived at uptown square for 7 months. The office workers and maintenance are so kind and helpful. If you ever have to request a work order dont worry because the maintenance worker comes so quick within that day! The apartment complex is very clean. I love living here! Uptown is one of the nicest apartments in the San Marcos area. Not only is it gorgeous, but the staff is outstanding. Caleb specifically has been such a great help for me and my roommates and has even brought out popsicles to everyone while we were at the pool. Its clear that they all truly care about their residents and they make it a point to give everyone the best experience possible. Love this place!

Wow. I must say after one month of living here I am honestly very happy with my choice to live here. Although there had been many hiccups with my first month, everything was taken care of at the end of the day. I am so grateful to have a staff that I know has my back and who I can go to for help. The staff here is extremely kind, helpful and patient. They make you feel at home, welcomed and treat you like a friend. Thank you Julianne, Kristen, Chloe, Luke and Ethan for being so wonderful throughout this first month. If you are like me- change can be extremely stressful at times but do not worry because these people are not here to rip you off or scam you. You can expect to live in a place that is honest with you, safe, reliable and overall right. As with the unit side of it, the interior is beautiful and I have little to no issues with things like the laundry or washer machine. At first the washer was broken when I came but we got it fixed right away. Everything has been working as it should and all is well. Now, I can relax and trust that I am at the right place at the right time. Thank you Uptown Square! -Axa

During my undergraduate years here at Texas State, Uptown is hands down the best apartment complex that I have stayed at. The pool is amazing, the staff is friendly, and the maintenance crew handles issues in a timely manner. I do know parking can be a hassle and the guest parking is very limited, but that is everywhere in San Marcos. You do also get a great deal with cable+Internet included with rent and is the bare minimum 15 mbps plan, but I have no issues with my Internet speeds. Just call Time Warner/Spectrum if you want to upgrade to get faster speeds, just know you will pay a bit extra. Overall, I recommend Uptown Square to anyone.

Love this apartment! Great location very close to the school. Love the granite counter tops and hardwood floors. Pool area is amazing with all the palm trees feels like a Vegas pool. Everyone at the leasing office is super friendly and very helpful! Valet trash is a plus and the guy that picks up the trash is AWESOME! Would refer anyone to live here!!

I have been living at Uptown the past year and happy to say I am resigning! The pool and amenities are amazing, and parking has improved. Uptown has an amazing staff, especially Caleb Holman, he would greet you with such enthusiasm when you walk in and was always ready to help you with anything you need.

I have no idea why there are some bad comments on here. When I first moved in I had problems with the new roommate I had and they understood and fixed it. I had a shower problem and I went to the office and they fixed it same day. The front is always nice when I have to get packages and they have a coffee machine right in the front. I used to live at the lodge and this apartment is 100 times better and the staff is outstanding.

Awesome place to live in San Marcos. The front desk is really attentive and understanding of residents needs. The amenities are the best in the city! Amazing gym, pool, volleyball court and newly finished pavilion area with four grills. The rooms are spacious and the furniture is brand new. Very close to everything in San Marcos and easy access to I35. One of the best places I have ever lived.

The apartments here are absolutely awesome. I speak from personal experience when I say that the staff is professional and generally nice. Some of the tenants are extremely entitled. The furnished rooms are amazing considered that this is largely for college students.

Uptown is a wonderful place with a wonderful staff. First Class, very up to date rooms, very spacious. They do things the right way. Sand Volleyball, grills by an awesome pool and weight room. This should be your ideal place to leave if you are in San Marcos.

I live in a studio and have no complaints! The water pressure is good, maintenance requests are always taken care of within 24 hrs, washer and dryer work great, ac works well, the office is super helpful, the furniture is in great shape, and the valet trash service is AMAZING, plus wifi and cable is included with rent. The studio is a little on the small side, but that’s excepted with a studio. The only reason i’m not giving it 5 stars is bc the visitor parking is BAD. There’s not enough visitor parking and i’ve had to have my guests park somewhere else then i have to pick them up, which is super inconvenient. WE NEED MORE VISITOR PARKING ASAP!! Other then the parking issue I feel safe living here alone and would for sure recommend Uptown to my friends!

Coming to San Marcos was a nervous experience since Uptown would be my first housing in a new city. When I called Uptown the beginning of the school year, I had a lot of questions, but thankfully Caleb H. was able to assist me and answer all of them, thoroughly and clearly. I was also really nervous of the environment, but Caleb and everyone at Uptown made my school year stay memorable. Whenever I had questions, was locked out of my room, etc, the whole group made sure that my needs were filled. Would recommend!

Pros: Great place to liveGood communityFor the most part, friendly staffReally great amenitiesCons: Move out a week before your lease ends, have them do a walkthrough a week in advance and get the ok in writing. If theres anything that needs to be done, hire someone to fix it, itll be cheaper in the long run. I checked with maintenance before I moved out and they said I was good to go (verbally, should have gotten that in writing) and a week after I turned in my keys I got slapped with almost $600 in fees because they had to repaint the whole apartment. Which is total bs because I made sure to DAP and touch up any spots that had been scuffed/screw holes. Even got the paint from maintenance so it was the right color/type.Dont let that turn you away, it remains my favorite place Ive lived yet. Even besides the trouble I went through after move-out Im still giving it 4 stars. Just be careful and cover your bases when you decide to move out.

The pool and volleyball court are very well maintained and kept in great condition, Ive never had a problem with management they seem very laid back amenities are what keep me coming back, hopefully they open everything back up since covid is on its way out

Just toured Uptown Square and everything about the place was perfect! Be sure to ask for Caleb Holman when touring. He helped out a ton and made me feel like I was already apart of the place. So yeah be sure to ask for Caleb when visiting uptown!

This is my second year living in Uptown square and I love it! Community ambassadors are great and always ready to help residents. The best part about living in Uptown is its swimming pool. The best in San marcos :)

I really enjoyed the fresh coffee and cookies. The staff is so helpfull. I highly recommend Uptown , so much respect,in atime when this is really needed! Hopefully the weather will be warmer cause the pool looks to die for! All my love and respect!
