Ive been a resident at The Vaughan Apartments for a while now, and I must say that my experience has improved significantly over time. Initially, I faced issues with loud noises and disturbances from my neighbors, including party noise, which made it difficult for me to stay here.However, I brought this to the attention of the apartment manager, and she tried her best to assist me. Although the alternative apartment she offered didnt match the facilities I currently enjoy, I appreciate her efforts to address my concerns.Im pleased to report that the noise issues have subsided, and its been relatively quiet lately. I hope this peacefulness continues in the future.Kudos to the Vaughan manager for her attempts to resolve my issues. Im grateful for her dedication to making this a comfortable living space.Keep up the good work!

Just wanted to give a shout out to the dynamic duo at the front desk of the Vaughn, thank you for making my transition in moving from hutto to Austin so seamless and easy. Much love and many blessings to Sarah for finding my packages that I accidentally sent to the complex before my move in date even though you told me not too LOL !! You guys and gals are rockstars, will be recommending the Vaughn to anyone looking to find a new home. !!!! How Bout them Cowboys !!!!

Would definitely recommend this property to family & friends! Been living here for over 6 months with no complaints. Leasing agents are always very kind and helpful with any questions/concerns that I may have. Im also very pleased on how prompt and effective the maintenance team is when it comes to any concerns/repairs in my unit!

Complex:Pro’s - Wonderfully landscaped and very clean. Units facing North have full view of the field and tree line which is very nice when you’re trying to relax. Pool area is designed well and there is a a section dedicated to swimming laps, which is very nice. The clubhouse has Starbucks coffee and an assortment of Bigelow tea’s available 24/7. Parking is plentiful (at least at building 1 and 6). Fitness center has enough equipment for the average gym goer including smith machine and smart fitness mirrors, but the square footage could be improved. Complex uses Alta as a mobile keycard to access all areas of the complex, easy to use but it means you must have a device with the app to get around the complex after hours, which is a little inconvenient. Consistent community engagement events which are either food trucks or events hosted by complex. There are ample walking trails and two pickeball courts, which is a nice addition.Con’s - Given that the area is a very active construction site, trucks are driving around for majority of the work day. They are loud, so those WFH folks should be weary. A pair of noise cancelling headphones mostly takes care of the noise. The elevators and gates do malfunction just as one would expect but is not more frequent than any other complex. Expect bugs and insects since the complex is surrounded by field and forest. Nice coating of dust in the hallways, likely due to ongoing construction but maybe the halls will be power washed when The Janis opens. As stated by other reviews, Besides building 1, parking is limited and will continue to get tighter as more people move in.Unit:Pro’s - Fantastic units with 10’ ceiling (although that may be limited to top floor). Great overall layout and balcony size. Kitchen has ample storage, and it is very nice to have a fridge with water dispenser. Laundry room is great for storage since there is no closet on the balcony. The plethora of windows provide ample natural light throughout the day. Bedroom and closet are large, can easily fit a full size desk and queen bed.Con’s - Some layout decisions don’t make any sense. The light switch in the bathroom is behind the door… so you might find yourself constantly reaching next to the door and find that nothing is there. The laundry has random corner of space that is almost unusable due to laundry machine. USB outlet is next to the stove, when it should have been placed on the island outlet. This complex is only a few years old, they should have installed a USB-C outlet, not USB-A. The bedroom closet should have one more shelf (4 instead of 3). Cabinets are wrapped in possibly Thermofoil and, at least in my unit, they were peeling terribly, thankfully it was replaced by maintenance. Interestingly there no smart locks so that is a glaring omission. Hopefully they will be installed at a future date.Staff:Very helpful staff and quick to respond to inquires. However, a few emails of mine have fallen through the cracks and led to documents not being filed. Overall, they are here to help and easy to work with. Frankly a huge plus given staff at many communities around town won’t give you the time of day.Maintenance is awesome. Great communication. They get the job done quickly and correctly.Overall:Vaughan is a great place to live and will only get better as East Village development progresses. Unit pricing is acceptable given overall amenities, as well as proximity to highway and downtown. Parking may be an issue for some residents. However, with current move-in specials, it’s a great value.

Amazing place to live and the process couldnt have been better. Kevin, Sarah, and the whole staff have been VERY responsive, professional, and just great overall. Not to mention, the apartments themselves are fantastic! I decided to sign the minute I left the tour. New, clean models, updated appliances, and great amenities (Updated, quality gym, and incredible pool area!). If youre considering a visit, do yourself a favor and check this place out, you wont regret it! Best apartment Ive had in Austin so far!

I asked for a simple walk-through today as a favor to prepare myself to move out in a month. Apparently they dont do a walk through unless the apartment is fully moved out. I understand theres company policies they have to uphold; but I figured they would still do it as a courtesy (whats 5 minutes of your time to provide basic customer service?). I dont think the manager handled this well at all. Im still grateful for Sarah & Kevin; theyre exceptional and always willing to help.

Ive been in many apartments, but The Vaughan takes the cake. This community has it all! Very nice style units and spacious floor plans. Fantastic gym and pool atmosphere. The grounds are kept in tip-top shape at all times. The front staff, especially Sarah, has been extremely friendly throughout this process! She has answered all of my requests promptly and went above and beyond when showing me every style unit and amenities the complex has to offer. I also am in love with the location. Its tranquil but close enough to everything that you need. If youre looking for a nice place to live, give this place a shot.

Okay so I want to preface this by saying I didn’t ultimately move here for other reasons unrelated to the apartment complex BUT I love love this community and especially Sarah who was soo great! She really left an impact out of all the tours we went on. You can tell this is a good community to be in simply because Sarah was so welcoming and knowledgeable. The community itself was great, very clean, modern and has great amenities. This is top of the list for apartments in Austin!

I stopped in unannounced after relocating to the area for a promotion at an up-and-coming competing property down the road. Brand new to the area and not sure if I wanted to live onsite at my own property I had plenty of questions and wasnt quite sure of what to expect. I took a tour with a wonderful leasing agent named Sarah. Being in the industry its often easy to default to a distrust of a community, their practices, and their leasing team. Sarah was very disarming and was quick to show me her beautiful community and how it could address my needs. Sarah went so far as to show me a map of the surrounding areas and highlighted their pros and cons so I could be better informed when making such a large life change. Sarahs level of customer service was very refreshing and I look forward to being her neighbor and possibly even her resident. Thank you for your care Sarah.Kyle

I was a bit worried about the construction that was going on nearby, but it is not disruptive at all 😎 I’ve been living in my apartment for a week and can say that I’m happy I chose The Vaughan!

Kevin from The Vaughan surpassed the expectation that was imagined! My boyfriend and I tirelessly searched for a home with our two littles and I would say a major reason for this apartment was because of him. From start to finish, he communicated with us and answered any and all the questions we asked. He was very thorough in the tour of our apartment and even suggested a few things around we can do with our children. The apartment is very nice, quiet area and upkept. To have a staff that responds promptly and takes the time to listen is truly a blessing. I am pleased with the decision of picking the Vaughan and excited to see what the future here brings.

I’ve lived at the Vaughan for 2 weeks now. I love my apartment and the complex. The amenities and the gym are excellent. You can tell that there was an element of thoughtfulness in designing the property which I really appreciate. While I love my apartment, there are a few things that detract from it being a true 5 star experience. First, there is no insulation between units. From my bedroom I can hear my next door neighbor walking, talking, closing doors, etc. Just doing normal day to day things. White noise should help, but something to be aware of for noise sensitive folks. Second, I’ve lived in Austin for most of my life, and I have not had an ant problem the way I do here. I keep my apartment very clean but if I so much as drop a crumb, there will be a trail of ants all over it in a few short hours. No matter how much I spray them, I find ants here and there searching for food in the apt. Pest control treated my unit, but the ants haven’t stopped, so I’ll have to look into extra measures to keep my unit ant-free.Besides that, there were minor issues with the unit when I moved in. Enter Sarah from the leasing office who has been very helpful and accommodating in making sure that the residents’ experience goes as smoothly as possible. As far as leasing staff, I really like the people who work in the leasing office. They have been helpful, and they are personable which makes communicating with them a breeze. 5/5 experience with the leasing staff.Overall, I do enjoy living here and would love it more if there was less noise transfer between units and better pest control. Some things to consider for prospective tenants.***Update***10.17.23 - The leasing team has taken care of the ant problem. I have not seen ants in my apt for at least a month now :)

This community is a hidden gem of the Northeast side of Austin. I’m glad I found The Vaughan after months of searching for the best location, amenities, cost, and overall feel. My first walkthrough of the property was seamless and Kevin did an exceptional job. I signed the lease within 24hrs and moved in the following week.Shoutout to the leasing office and their staff who helped made my move from SATX stress free. Keep up the good work. Hopefully they organize an event to welcome new and current residents this summer.
