    I went on a tour here last month and was utterly amazed with how nice The Retreat is compared to other complexes in the area I toured prior. The apartments are very spacious and well maintained with incredible finishes.

    I went for a tour with Laci and felt more like she was family or a friend than a leasing agent.Immediately upon meeting her she had an approachable attitude and walked me to a couple different apartments that were actually move-in ready. All of the other tours at different apartments I have been doing ONLY showed the model home.She was very helpful and informative about the question I had. I am ready for this new move and loved the complex.

    Went to check this place out with my cousin as she’s trying to move to Spring. Super cute area close to Houston. The community is really beautiful. I was impressed with how nice the property is. The manger Laci was able to give us a tour. She told us that she’s new to the property but you can tell she has very high expectations and knows what she is talking about. This is definitely a top choice for my cousin.

    There is not much I can say about the property, as Ive been here about 6 years. This property was called something else before it became The Retreat, and as of this review, they are still working on improvements.However, I can say that the staff has improved a lot in the office. Shoutout to Sherlonda for being the one to show the most care towards our work orders that weve had for months. She was super friendly, easy to talk to, she listened to my concerns, showed a lot of compassion, professionalism, and amazing customer service in making sure we got the fixes done and made sure our happiness and satisfaction was #1 on the list.The 4 star instead of 5 doesnt come from my feelings about the property and its cost of living, just her individually.Edit: She is no longer there. Management is constantly switching up.Edit 2: (Jan 2 2025): Stay away from this place. The office staff is hardly ever available, leaving the office closed more than open. It gets noisy at night with disrespectful and rude neighbors (which the office wont do anything about), and the fees for this property adds an additional $200 to your rent with many of them you have no idea what its for or already have, and they only care about getting your money under any means necessary. Again, stay away. Its not worth the money youd pay to live here. Its the real reason its called The Retreat.

    Mrs. Laci was amazing ! Great experience and very personable! Great personality! Felt very welcome into the community ! The grounds were very clean ! The office staff is great here and made me want to lease here.

    Seriously, best place to live in Spring. Staff is friendly and my apartment was just redone. It feels brand new and looks so good. Ive lived all over and would recommend this apartment to anyone.

    Words can not explain how much Ashlee is absolutely AMAZING as a community director !!!The way she relates to her tenants and takes the time to show support and compassion, she ensures that she will do everything possible to keep you feeling at home and have a successful leasing experience. She actually listens and addresses each concern to find the best solution, and prompt about getting any repairs or maintenance needs met. And the head of maintenance is always quick and efficient ! I appreciate her time and efforts in the way she manages. Every interaction with her so far has always been met with patience and kindness! I truly feel at home!

    I’ve lived here for over 7yrs because I want to! There have been glitches , bad management but nothing is perfect! Today I stepped into the office and there was sunshine. I was not going to sign a new lease. Because of management that’s changed so I’m staying. It’s quite again and feels like home. Ashlee is awesome!!! Seeing her behind the desk with a smile ( real) .

    There no words just a nice friendly place to live. I have not had a problem with anyone and the staff and maintenance personnel are great. When things need to be fixed they get it done. The staff is always having party’s for just about anything. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK

    I love living here, management is awesome they go out of their way to make sure their tenants are well taken care of. As long as they let me lease here I will not leave no time soon. Great job Ms. Ashlee she’s the property manager.

    I toured this place last week and it is cute! I felt at home the moment I pulled in. The pond is unique and I found out you can actually fish as a resident. I know my dog will love it here too. I am worried about the cats that hang out in front of the dog park, but Im sure it will be okay. The manager was friendly and took the time to introduce me to the maintenance team. It was hard to get a hold of other properties muchless see the area. I can not wait for this to be my new home.

    I give my honest opinion when making reviews. In the beginning of my lease I experienced far too many issues and was highly dissatisfied. I honesty just wanted my lease terminated. Since then new management has taken over the property and are supposed to make some changes to the property so I am on the lookout for those. I will say the location is great as the grocery store, causal shopping, and fast dining are all nearby and in walking distance! Maintenance is basically on top of things so when a work order is put in it is very likely that it will be addressed the same day if not the next day. There are still a few concerns that I’ve addressed with the property manager and she has been efficient with documenting them so I look forward to seeing the changes/improvements!

    The ladies in the office are really nice, Ms Teena is always so kind and is always dressed nicely. She gave me a gift for my dogs birthday and remembers me by name, we have a great relationship. We’re coming on three years here and Im not unhappy. The office staff do their best to accommodate you within their means. Four stars because the parking lot. Fair warning, if you or your guests don’t make it into a permit parking spot by 8 pm then you might be SOL. The parking here is a dire situation and unfortunately there’s not nearly enough spots to fit the residents and their guests. There are plenty of reserved spots available however and they’re only 20 dollars. Not a bad deal at all. Again, they solve problems usually pretty quickly and have some really nice people in there. As long as you don’t have a problem with paying reasonable fare for a decent parking spot, this is a nice neighborhood with friendly neighbors, and a good office that’s working consistently to make this place better.

    It is unfortunate that I just moved in and I have to post this review. I was really excited to move here but disappointed that the communication lacked knowledge on their end. I always inquire about washer and dryer prior to moving anywhere. I asked if there were washer and dryer hook up. I was told they had wiring for a stackable unit, however I can still bring my personal washer and dryer. Well, I should of been told, Morgan, we have washer and dryer already in the unit. I was not told this before hand, and was reassured that upon move-in that I would get assistance with maintenance personally assist with the helping of me move my washer and dryer. Day of move I was surprised to find there were indeed a washer and dryer in place not just to hook up itself. Maintenance came and removed the stackable but never came back to help assist with moving my personal washer and dryer in place. (again i was told I would have help with this upon move in) I am later told now that it is against company policy for workman to move tenants property. Before leasing office confirmed that my washer and dryer worked they had already put the washer and dryer in someone elses unit. I am so disappointed and just truly loss of words. The inconvenience of having to go to a laundry mat when I already work so much, and now having to find a storage and pay someone else to move my washer and dryer off of the porch is just stressful. I havent had to use a laundry mat in over 10 years.AN UPDATE: I would like to say thankyou to Tina. She is the office manager at this property and she instantly called me to resolve the issue. Her apology and action is what really stood out to me. I have to say that at first I was skeptic, that I was walking into a slumlord situation. But now I feel like any issue I may have now or in the future, she will do her best to find a solution. For this I can say I feel like accountability was accepted and the customer service on her end was exceptional. I feel relieved now and can actually say I might of found a diamond in the rough here at Cottages of Cypresswood.

    I’ve been a resident at The Cottages Of Cypresswood since 2017 and have experienced different managers but since Mrs. Teena aka my angel in disguise, has taken over you can truly see great changes for The Cottages community! I was excited to be apart of the changes so much that I moved out of my one bedroom so I can enjoy the new renovations that I just had to have! Mrs. Teena made this transition so exciting and soooo stress free!! She was dedicated to taking care of my desires and making me comfortable in my new home that she literally worked overtime to make sure I was satisfied. I desperately wanted a specific accent color and with issues beyond Mrs. Teena’s control the paint wasn’t going to show up before my move in date. Mrs. Teena could tell I was down about it but I let it go. Move in day comes and there’s Mrs. Teena painting my accent wall HERSELF making sure it got done before I arrived !! Talk about dedication and good customer service!! I’m so excited! My new place is beautiful and loaded with nice upgrades like a dual flush toilet , grey hardwood floors, new carpet, white cabinets with silver handles, light grey granite countertops ! It’s amazing! Perfect for my farmhouse decor theme! It’s so nice living in a community that cares. I’ve been here long enough to know the difference! Mrs. Teena , thank you again for peace of mind and being a blessing to me and my son! God bless you and your family!

    Absolutely love living at The Cottages of Cypresswood. Everyone is great and the experience has been beyond our expectations. The leasing staff was very helpful through the whole move-in process and made our priorities their concern. I would highly recommend taking a look at this property.Teena has been amazing. We just love her.

    We have lived here for a year, and we have been having a good time especially with the situation with Covid-19, administration has been very helpful with most of the requests , Teena the property manager has prompt response and repairs are outstanding and on time, units are in good shape and they do a good job taking care the inside and appliances are also very good, overall we love it here very affordable and easy access from all roads, wish the pool were open but we understand is not safe right now, the lake bring an awesome look and peace to the complex BUT, we noticed it really needs more care people is dumping food into it and weed is growing very fast, also we noticed that lately that back parking lot is not in good shape around the dumpsters, some tenants spill food and garbage on the floor,.My complain will be that the landscape guys are not doing a good job , with the leaves and they dont use the blower properly I have to finish cleaning after they leave, also we love dogs and cats but tenants are not cleaning after their mascots mess, lots of poop around is hard to walk around without getting it on your feet .We asked a lady to clean after her dog and she went off saying that nobody clean the poop why she has to do it , I mean we all pay for rent and pay for dogs rent and deposits but is been out of hand with some people not helping taking care where they live!Do we recommend this place? YEAH, of course they recently painted the outside and front doors the look is awesome, but we all need to work harder to help maintaining this place in good shape.

    The cottages has been where i have stayed for 3 years, however with the new owners, management and staff taking over it has become my HOME. They have had events allowing tenants to get to know each other. feels like a neighborhood gathering. yes with only one maintenance guy things may take awhile but he still comes with in a few hours to a day, not like the last group. and i also love to see the new work they are putting in to this place. my pets and family have found a place we can call HOME...

    I moved in at the beginning of October to a newly renovated apartment. The office staff was very accommodating to my need to move in on short notice. Though there have been some hiccups in getting some work done (light mechanism in bedroom ceiling fan broke the night I moved in), it was not anyone’s fault but back order on the part. The office staff have been wonderful about letting me know the progress of my open work orders. When Mr. Jose came to fix the light he also (without a work order) replaced a bulb on the spot and let me know that a replacement bulb for another light was on backorder but would he would replace it as soon as he got it in. He and the office have been great about letting me know when the repairs will be done the next day so that I can crate my dogs while I am at work.

    I wanted to make sure I expressed the gratitude for management at this particular location on Oakwood Glen Boulevard .. Teena is the manager on site at this property and she was truly a godsend A blessing in my opinion.. My 70-year-old uncle is a disabled veteran who has terminal cancer and I needed to get him out of the VA hospital and moved close to me in a one bedroom downstairs apartment within a matter of 48 hours so that I could protect him from being exposed to the COVID-19 and be able to better care for him and not put him in a nursing home where he would also be subjected to the covid 19… I searched and went to probably 18 different places between my house and 8 miles .. and honestly there was not too many friendly faces or anybody who is willing to go above and beyond to help me when I so desperately needed it !Until I got to the her office… I walked in I explained my situation and she went out of her way to make sure that my uncle literally the following day had somewhere when he was discharged for me to bring him home .. now that he is currently living there she has also done everything in her power to make this process as smooth and easy for me as possible .The apartment is very nice and comfortable for him the customer service and maintenance and communication is fantastic . I’m grateful , more than words can describe for everything this place has provided for my uncle as well as Teena!

    We love our neighbors here and have made many friends. The maintenance guys Tim and José are so awesome! They are the only 2 here so they are super busy every day but they always have a smile and happy hello for you! I hope they know how much we appreciate them. Teena is so nice and goes above and beyond for our community!

    Been here for about 3 years now and have gone through managers and owners for this complex and out of everybody that we have gone through Mrs. Teena has done a lot more then i have seen. If I have a problem with my unit it gets done either that day or the next. I have loved the events that are hosted here I have meet some new and wonderful friends because of the events. Cant wait to see what Mrs. Teena and the staff behind her have planned in the future.

    We toured the property & was very impressed with the cleanliness of the grounds, and the professionalism of the management staff. The townhouse we were interested in blew me away. 2 story, huge living room, wood burning fireplace, and both bedrooms had walk in closets. We look forward to calling the Cottages home in a couple weeks.

    We just moved in and I couldnt be happier with our decision to make cottages of cypresswood our new home! Everyone is so nice . Its a quiet neighborhood. Clean pool, my boys love seeing the ducks in the pond here. Our apartment has such a cozy feel to it that you dont often find in most apartments. Very affordable, a1 management & best of all GREAT SCHOOLS! ❤

    We love it out here! We are around so many great schools and restaurants, we aren’t going anywhere! If I had to say one negative thing, it would be that we need less reserved parking. Outside of that, it’s the perfect place to call home.

    I love the setup of the units is so pretty in the inside the wood and then some of them have carpet as well and I love the appliances in the place is kept up very nice Im new here hope to be here for a while and hope things still stay great
