After applying, and paying $450.00 to gain residency at the Holston in October 2020, I was only given keys and not even a tour until May 1 which is the day I signed my lease. And all that time I had not known any of the things that I should’ve known like I would need to switch electric companies, I would also begin to pay water, and also valet trash with an mandatory $50 monthly fee! All of this is on top of the monthly rent. These things weren’t communicated via any of the leasing agents. On May 1 I came to sign my lease and was directed to sit in the clubhouse by myself with the paperwork/lease and sign where I seen exes and look for him Wayne if I had any questions. Because I was so in a hurry to get into my apartment and begin making ways for my children to be comfortable in a new area I signed it and looked for him afterwards. Later after I had signed my lease and was moved in I noticed numbers on the ground these numbers I guess war for paid parking nothing was communicated to me or any of the residents or my next-door neighbors it is a very very tricky place to live they take your money and aren’t honest buyer beware do not move here!! The management team minus Brittany is dishonest, never on time and very unprofessional. In my experiences here they have hidden fees and the parking is a HUGE issue, that isn’t properly protected, I live here and my registered license plate car was towed and I have to figure out how my single parent no income can afford to get my paid for vehicle out of tow. I have left several messages and left two voice mails for the agents boss Mrs. Aaron whom all work for Greystar management to have not to date gotten ANY response. AGAIN DON’T MOVE IN HERE!! at least not until they get new management. Don’t waste your time you’ll be trapped I have a friend whom was also planning to move here when I did and later decided she didn’t want to sign up to be lied to, she still hasn’t gotten back her refundable deposit! Don’t move here! Greystar CAN’T know this is whom they are hiring to run their new apartment complex, I’ve been told from other current Greystar residents at other properties that this is an UNACCEPTABLE characterization of one of Greystar managed properties! I am looking into to my rights as a resident here and what to do if they have been violated. Don’t trust THIS staff outside of the secretary Brittany She’s been a peach since starting and has been very helpful with limits due to her bosses. She could possibly turn around the course of The Holston’s and give it back it’s integrity.After they changed leasing office employees, I can honestly say The Holston apartments have improved in management!! They have on call 24 hour maintenance. They always answer my calls and every or any issue that has come up had been resolved without any thing more than placing a discrepancy online thought their cafe site. Very happy to be here now!!The Holston after being here going on 4 years now KEEPS improving!! The staff they have now Is Awesome, from leasing to compliance they are impeccable!! We also have a great maintenance team and even an on call after hours guy, to handle any after hours emergencies! I’m very happy to still be here and am renewing my lease again!! There is a whole other property that is being built behind ours but I’m sure they will be just as nice, I say this due to the similar color scheme and they seem to have a pool area close to ours so I’m excited to see how well we all share this area where at first there was nothing but cows in an empty field. The future looks very promising for a “newer more modern community-like neighborhood” for everyone involved new and old. -

John, the new maintenance lead, is AMAZING. Unfortunately, he had to visit our unit twice in less than two weeks for two different reasons and had awesome energy and a smile the whole time. Not to mention he fixed both issues within 24 hours of the work order submission. He also noticed me trying to get into the gym 3 weeks ago because the fob was not opening the door and stopped what he was doing to help without being asked. He’s a great addition to the complex and we (and future residents) are lucky to have him on our side. -

Took a tour last week and absolutely felt so welcomed and I was greeted with such great customer service. They helped answer all my questions and I will definitely be leasing here. Not to mention the community was STUNNING!!! -

The apartment community itself is beautiful. The location is ideal for me. I really like working with Triston. He most definitely is motivated when he comes to his work. He maybe leasing agent but i see him moving far into management. He is an ideal leasing agent i would want to work with especially with me being in the industry. I understand a lot to when it comes to being a part of a staff no matter the role title especially if you are a brand new party ! and he is doing a great job. I just wish it were more people in the office to pick up the phones. I feel like some days i call from open to closing without speaking to someone, It makes me feel as if Im contacting the IRS. the staff is very professional i will give it to them but when you have a move in coming up three days away you should be doing some kind of following up. This is the only thing that frustrates me to a certain extent. I move in this week and havent been able to schedule my movers not knowing the actual status of my application. I get it the Industry gets busy but one assuring phone call or email would be peaceful for sure. You guys are really doing a great a the property but while doing lease ups id most defiantly would look into a temp to at least handle phone calls. -

Love this complex! Great amenities, great staff and they are all so nice and understanding! Only downside is the type of residents at times but the staff works hard to keep this place respectable, clean and nice ! Highly recommend, even friends who have come over are shocked with how much you get for the price! Great place to live and quiet! -

I don’t know about the other comments or post here but I know that they have done amazing job of getting me moved in to my unit with a garage were they could’ve easily just gave up and went to the next customer but my move was horrible I am a us army veteran that is on housing assistance there tons checks and paperwork that had not been informed or trained to handle there was tons of human errors but they held my unit and stayed by me threw it all get documents sign and resigned and they took it head on and I have been staying here since February. I would say definitely come in sit down and talk to somebody and get your personal experience I can’t speak for someone else but they are great to me. -

Staff not that bad. I Had a dog that wasent even agresive and they dident even let it in. Good entertainment such as big pool but there lots of people there, gym, pool tables, ect: not loud at all. Nice people Nice rooms and good experience come and check it out!!! also my pit bull got off the leash and almost got ran over so watch them streets -
