I recently had the pleasure of touring this property and had a very positive experience overall. The leasing associate, though relatively new, was enthusiastic, friendly, and eager to assist. While he didn’t have immediate answers to all my questions, he promptly followed up after the tour, which I greatly appreciated. He dedicated about an hour to showing me the apartments I was interested in, as well as the amenities, ensuring I had a thorough understanding of what the property offers. The one-star deduction is due to the apartments not quite meeting the luxury standard as advertised. Given the price range, there are newer or recently renovated properties in the area that offer a more modern feel. However, The Hershel is exceptionally well maintained. If youre considering living in this area, I would highly recommend scheduling a visit, its definitely worth exploring!

My wife and I moved to the Herschel in September and couldnt be happier. Lucy in particular has always been so nice and helpful all the way back to when we toured over the summer. She has helped us feel at home at the Herschel and consistently goes above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect. Bobby has also been super responsive and helpful with any maintenance request we have had.

I have lived at this property for over 3 years and only have wonderful things to say about The Herschel. My interactions with Ruben, the manager and Bobby, the maintenance director have always been great! Also, Lucy in the front office is such a delight! I’ve only ever had pleasant conversations and interactions with her. Anything I have needed, she has assisted me. She’s a great addition to the team. The property is very well maintained and clean. All maintenance issues are handled fairly immediately. Our elevators are always back working within a day and the property is constantly renovating different areas for us. I have very much enjoyed living here.

We recently moved a family member in who has a disability and Lucy was extremely helpful from the very start and continues to be amazing with her pleasant personality and desire to accommodate all needed requests. She’s very professional and courteous …always! Quick to offer solutions with a true understanding of the residents limitations. The property itself is nice and very well maintained. But having Lucy as a resource has the best thing about the Herschel to date. Can not leave out Bobby though as he is also a key person who has contributed to aiding in this resident’s comfort level.

I lived at The Herschel from July 2022-December 2023 and had a fantastic experience. So, when I found out I was moving back to Dallas (end of May 2024), I immediately called The Herschel manager and asked if they had an available unit (which, fortunately, they did!). Everything about The Herschel is excellent: the staff (particularly Bobby the maintenance manager - who always responded to issues quickly); the location (walkable to restaurants, grocery, and shopping); easy to get on I-35 or 75 for travel; and the amenities (pool, gym, pool-table/business office, secured covered parking). Im super-excited to be moving back next week!

Been living at the Herschel for over a year and have had a great experience. The manager/staff (Ruben and Lucy) are friendly and receptive to resident suggestions and concerns, and keep things running smoothly. The residents are overall very respectful. Any maintenance requests are handled well and in a prompt fashion by Bobby. Great location in a relatively upscale area with restaurants and parks within walkable distance.

He is incredibly thorough and knowledgeable - he always remembers to wear shoe covers when he comes into my apartment and takes care of maintenance requests quickly. He has helped me with a variety of issues from plumbing to door sealing to HVAC, and he is very friendly and professional when he swings by.He is a wonderful technician and I’m so glad to have him around here. Reviewing for Bobby, the maintenance tech at The Herschel. Bobby is such a joy to have in our building. Throughout the past year, every maintenance request has been completed in an extremely timely manner and he always does so with a smile on his face. On top of simply being super professional, its comforting to know that we have someone we can count on when issues inevitably arise (and that wont take their sweet time solving any issue that comes up). Cannot thank Bobby enough for helping make our little apartment feel like home anytime there is a maintenance hiccup. Thankful for all you do, Bobby!

Lucy was a great guide for my fiance and I. She showed us all the available floor plans and answered all of our questions. We havent even moved in but she made us feel like we were at home. Living at the Herschel the past three years has been a great experience due largely to the management team. I want give a special shout-out to Bobby Pitt, the building engineer, who does so much to keep the building and all its systems running. This includes driving-in through snow, ice and thunderstorms in the middle of the night to handle emergencies. He approaches his work with energy, skill and professionalism. He has earned the respect and appreciation of the residents. We count on him.

I moved to the Herschel in April 2020 and its been a great experience. Management is responsive, friendly and professional. The building is well maintained and has a concrete frame which translates to quiet apartments. The access controlled covered garage keeps my car safe and out of the weather. The location on the north edge of Oak Lawn next to Highland Park is quiet and residential but convenient to everything. The building attracts mature, respectful professionals ranging from twenty-somethings to retirees. I moved here from a condo in DC and this has a similar feel. I havent seen another building quite like this in Dallas.

This review is not about The Herschel itself or its current management company, Greystar, but about our wonderful Maintenance Tech, Robert (Bobby)! Where would we all be without him? I dont even want to think about it. Bobby is so great to see on a regular basis with his constant enthusiasm, evident strong work ethic and fun personality. Were lucky to have him as part of our community.Of all the regular interactions and things Bobby has helped us with throughout the years with perfection, two in particular stand out:During the recent heat wave of temperatures above 105 our air conditioning was on the verge of going out. Bobby had already left for the day and had made it all the way home. Instead of saying hed come the next morning or try to diagnose it over the phone, he turned around and came all the way back to our unit to fix it immediately to save the day for my wife and I. His giving and helpful heart always are apparent, as it was again in this case.The biggest evidence of this was on the afternoon of last Christmas Eve. Due to the below freezing temperatures a pipe burst in our bathroom which led to immediate flooding into the closet, bathroom and primary bedroom. Because of the severity of the situation, Bobby stayed until the clock went past midnight and into Christmas morning (I believe he finally went home around 2am). He gave up the ultimate family time of the year in my opinion to help us. I believe most of us would have had a very negative attitude and been upset to be working that late on Christmas. My wife and I were so thankful and appreciative that we had someone like Bobby to handle the situation for us.Thank you, Bobby, for all your hard work, fun attitude, enthusiasm and work ethic. My wife and I lived at the Herschel for just over a year. We had planned to stay longer but our jobs took us back to the East Coast. We had a wonderful experience living at the Herschel. The building is in an excellent location on a quiet, tree-lined street at the intersection of Oak Lawn and Highland Park. As East Coasters, walkability was important to us and the Herschel did not disappoint. Also, the building is just minutes from the Katy Trail, Whole Foods, and a number of great restaurants. We were very comfortable in our 1 bed, 1.5 bath apartment with a beautiful view of tree lined Highland Park. The management team was very responsive to all of our needs and made us feel at home. If you are looking for a luxury apartment at a reasonable price, the Herschel is your spot!

I have had a positive experience in this community because of the quality of the living spaces and the hospitality of the management team. Recently, Ruben Marquez has helped me In the office. He is friendly, organized, professional, and always answers any of my questions within the same working day. I recommend that you schedule a tour of the facility with him as soon as possible!

Very happy to be living at The Herschel. It’s an excellent community and the staff is absolutely amazing. Ruben and Colton went above and beyond to help us with the move in process since day one that we viewed the property. It’s quiet, friendly neighbors, clean and very attentive to our needs. Super dog friendly, my little one enjoys running around the dog park on site.

This is my third year at Herschel, I love my view of downtown Dallas! A great location, quiet yet close to shops and restaurants and minutes away from i75 or the Dallas Tollway. The apartments are newly renovated along with the lounge area and fitness room. Superb fitness room has top of the line Italian Technogym equipment and a Peloton bike. The property management team is great and servicing is quick and efficient. Packages are delivered to your door!

I cannot be more pleased! The apartment is not only spacious and beautiful, but it also offers so many options for dining, shopping and conveniences such as post office and libraries close by. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure we are happy. There are monthly events which allow us to meet with other tenants and enjoy good food and drinks. If anything gets broken, steps are taken immediately to fix it. The gym is so safe and convenient that i was able to cancel my membership to my regular gym! Last but not least, this is luxury living at a really good price for this area. You can’t beat it!
