Ive been here about 8ish months. Its super close to my job near the medical center, although I still find myself being late to work sometimes haha! I havent had any issues with the staff . Whenever my garbage disposal stopped working, I told the office and the maintenance guy came over the SAME day and fixed it. Ive been to the pool once this summer, it was clean and I had a nice time. I havent met any of my neighbors yet, but then again, I havent really put myself out there. So far, so good. Would recommend. Plus, they said they will give me a bonus for referring people, so put my name down if you lease here lol! :)

Nov 15, 2024 omg, I am really afraid I would jinx it lol but our hot water has restored last night \O/(hooray), and I heard we have a brand new boiler :D Thanks to our dedicated staff. Lets hope we have a smooth winter^^Nov 12, 2024 it is the 3rd day without having hot water, and it is confirmed wont be fixed today, maybe tomorrow but still uncertain.I have to keep spending extra power bill for boilling water for bath, it is sad :(==================================================PS. If I didnt come back to update my complaint, then it is probably fixed^^Update(Jan 24 2024): The hot water keeps having issues recently. Sometimes there is no hot water since midnight, sometimes in the morning. From at least Dec 2023, this hot water issue has existed. And also happened when it was -5 Celsius degree last week, I had to boil my own hot water to have a bath for 2 days. And now it has no hot water again. But to be fair, I havent had any big issues until recently, so overall it is still a nice place to live, its just... the no hot water issue happened really frequently these 2 months. Hope it can be fully fixed ASAP :(Update(Feb 27 2021): It was amazing that I was still able to have electric power and running water here during the winter storm. We did have some pipe issue few days so we dont have hot water to bath about 3-4 days but I still can cook and have my heater on. I can boil water to clean my self if I really need. Big thanks for every staffs here. They even work at weekend/night I think.Update: Ah~ They said there is construction. It will be back to normal 2-3 hours later

This is my first apartment and I really enjoy it. The staff such as Tyra, Mario, and Maria help tremendously. Every time I have a question or even something that needs to be fixed, they’re always so kind and quick to help. Moving out has been a huge change and I truly appreciate their kindness and help through this process.- I like the fact that there’s plenty of parking, mostly quiet during the nights, plenty of lights to feel safe, and the actual apartment is comfortable.- The only cons would have to be the roaches but even so, there’s pest control that comes with the utility bill. We just have to sign up for it. As well as package stealing but i installed an easy set up camera from Amazon to prevent that.

I personally loved my stay at Scotland Yard. Irrespective of what everyone say, the management is fabulous. They strive to make sure the issues the tenets face are fixed. Anyone who are interested in living in the Astrodome area. this would be a good option to consider.

While visiting, I definitely felt like I was actually heard instead of just being another person to walk in the door. Everyone here is very genuine and worked hard to make me feel welcomed especially to the leasing lady that gave the tour her name is Aryani. She gave all the information I needed, and answered all the questions I had. Unfortunately, this community is far away from my college so I won’t be able to lease, but I am definitely recommending this place to friends

Ive been living in these apartments for three years with no major issues. The package drop-off is not a big deal. You get a slip in your mailbox from the post office and you just go down the street about two blocks to the post office on Almeda to pick it up, and theres even a special window for pickups so you dont have to wait in line. Personally, this is better than having the office staff accept the packages because they didnt have a good system of letting you know your package was there and had a hard time locating the package when you knew it had been delivered.The water bill has been increasing but the law in Houston changed so all apartments are affected. Its $30-$45/mo for a single one bedroom apartment. All apartments in the area do the allocated water usage.I wish there was recycling but I just take mine to another location.Its really annoying that they increase my rent with every lease renewal, but all in all it has been reasonable and still less the the current price.The apartments are very clean with no bug issues and Ive had not had any noise problems either. The maintenance staff is very quick to fix any issues you report, although sometimes there is confusion about what needs fixing and it make take a visit or two if you are not home to tell them specifically what is wrong. There is always plenty of parking.These apartments are a good price but are comfortable, not flashy or fancy. I have a working fireplace and dishwasher and the location is great being near all the major highways, bus, and light rail.

I stayed there with my family for a year and a half. Enjoyed the atmosphere there. The customer support team is really good and helpful, especially Andrea. She helped us a lot during our move-in and move-out time. Also if I have any complaints about the apartment they were very prompt to fix the issue. Thank you very much Scotland yard customer support team for making our stay there so pleasant. Highly recommend this place.

I have been a resident of Scotland Yard for almost one year and find out that it is a decent place to live. The location and rent rates are the most valuable features of this community. They urgently need to improve in processing maintenance work orders, remodeling the units, and adding carports. Also, the parking lot is in very bad conditions as it has lots of big cracks.

Scotland Yard has Great prices, its pretty quiet/peaceful and location is not bad either. Nikki, Marisol and Andrea are the BEST!! They are very welcoming, kind, helpful, attentive to your needs/concerns and they go above and beyond the average customer service you usually get when applying for an apartment. There were a few minimal issues in the apartment that needed correction which was done within 48 hrs of it being reported but so far so good. Im very happy with my new place!! I recommend you do your research whenever moving But just so you know Scotland Yard is a Great place with Great leasing agents.

I’ve recently moved in for the second time. Price is fair for the location one reason why I came back. The second reason is the agent that help me both times her name is Andrea. Very nice and knowledgeable. Philip helped with my final move in also, although I was in a rush they made me feel welcome and HOME. Overall no matter where we live in this beautiful city of ours it will never be 110% the way you want.But if you are patient and give people a chance to do their job everyone wins. There will always be responsibilities as a resident that we have. Can’t always expect to have maintenance do ALL the work. By that I mean you can change your own light bulb if you can’t reach it.Not all apartments have been renovated. I still enjoy it here and would recommend it to anyone on a budget who wants to be near the hustle and bustle.

Ive been living here for almost a year now and am not planning to move anytime soon, the day I arrived, I received a clean completely refurbished apartment that I absolutely love. The leasing office is very friendly, something I really appreciate about the complex, they are really devoted to help and they were never late responding to any of my requests so far. The one star i deducted is because of the (extras) that one usually benefit from living in a complex like a gym and a swimming pool.... If you are into sports and working out, youll need to get a membership in one of the nearby gyms because the one over here doesnt count.... the swimming pools are also very small , they might be ok for your kids but not for adults who are into swimming and working out....Conclusion: you will get a good apartment with one of the best prices around here in the area with good customer relations/services but dont expect extras like a gym or a tennis/basketball court

Ive lived here for 2 years now. Ive never had any issues what so ever. All of my requests have been honored fairly and the management team has responded in a sincere and fair manner. This apartment is not managed by a professional management company like AAMCO or BH, the apartment is self-managed, so they really do care for their residents. Think of it like a landlord really caring for his tenants and inspecting the property instead of the landlord delegating his duties to a company that does not care for your needs. Also, this is a great neighborhood with lots of friendly people!

I have lived here for about a year now, and I have had no issues at all. The neighborhood is peaceful, quiet, and safe; furthermore, the management is great as well. They have honored all of my service requests and have timely fixed whatever I have needed done. The place is very clean when you first move in and is affordable. I am very happy that I decided to live here. The assistant manager Marisol is the best and very helpful!

The staff was super friendly and cheerful when they helped me with my apartment. Special shout out to Kara and Chelsea who were very kind and patient with me during the process.These apartments were my first adult apartments. They are conveniently located to great things in Houston and the rail system and college. I never felt unsafe here since they always have security on duty that wave at me when I drive through the gate. I wish they had a “Scotland Yard” in my new city! I’m going to miss this place!

Chelsea the leasing agent was BEYOND professional today. I went in trying looking for apartment info and wanting to view two units today, which one ended up being available to show but not the rest (bummer) but nonetheless I was pleased with the quality and the value for the unit I did see. Chelsea took her time with my tour even though she was very very busy throughout the shift, taking phone calls, helping tenants with maintenance requests, and also helping other future residents. She was very detailed and very knowledgeable with property information and gave me the full break down on how to apply for the unit. She was very nice and in my honest opinion is the best leading agent I’ve came across so far in Houston. I’ve seen many places and have spoken with many agents and i gotta say I was beyond pleased with my touring experience here at their property! We need more respectable people like her who actually do their jobs and do it correctly! I look forward to renting here in the future.(UPDATE)!!!!!!!!!!!!September 3rd, 2018So I’ve had my ups and downs with management so far. I was told my apartment would be ready on August 29th. I took off of work, scheduled movers, and scheduled my furniture delivery for the day of move in. I received a call from a staff member asking if they could push my move in for the following day. I was told the bathroom and kitchen all were being refinished and needed a complete day to dry. When I came into the office, I asked to view my apt and I was told it was not ready to be viewed. I immediately became very dissatisfied because I called ahead of time to confirm my move in day before I scheduled time off of work and vacancy from my last place of stay. When I finally viewed the “finished work” I was APPALLED. The unit was FILTHY. I wouldn’t move a stranded animal into that place for a temporary home. I asked if I could move into an updated unit in a totally separate building. The leasing agent Kara was kind enough to go above and beyond to ensure that she could move me into a better unit that met my comfort abilities and promised me I could move into it on Sept 1st. I was at her desk for over 3 hours, redrawing up paperwork, transferring electric, etc. Kara worked very diligently while also assisting other future tenants. She truly made my situation a lot better by her positive attitude and sincerity. I also spoke with Marisol, the assistant manager about all the barriers and hoops that I’ve had to face while trying to move on this property. She was really professional and nice.I only leave honest reviews and I am here to give insight on my first day of living here as well.I have finally signed my lease and got into an updated unit. Needless to say, the unit I moved into is much better. Only issues I’ve had are with my toilet in the restroom which seems to have a plumbing issue that needs fixed! It continues to run on its on and does not flush AT ALL! That’s not good on a first time mover’s FIRST DAY at their new home. Secondly, I’ve noticed bugs in the house already, mainly near the kitchen area. I understand Texas is known for bugs but if it’s excessively in the kitchen then there must be holes not covered up, possible water leaks, etc. Therefore, I have scheduled maintenance to do a follow up visit for pest control this week! It’s 100% necessary.So far my neighbors are nice. I’ve had ppl speak to me. The only issue I’m seeing with them are leaving trash outside of their doors. Habits like this can attract pests to come near our doorways, I do not care to deal with those issues. Trash needs to go directly to the dumpster!I like the area for convenience. It’s right off 610, you’re right behind NRG and the metro rail, which will take you right into Medic Center in less than 3 minutes. Lots of shopping around you and plenty of small businesses. A lot of people here are in school but the property is pretty quiet and laid back.Best part here is location, market rent not too high, and a really friendly management team!

Ive been living here for 22 years now and I have never had a problem.Its quiet and safe, as far as I know. I have one dog and despite there being dog food on the ground, ive never had roaches. Plus, they fumigate every three or four months.When I call maintenance, the office tells me when they will come, and they do arrive at the correct time. They have replaced windows, ac units, and blinds in a timely manner. The office staff has always been very curteous and helpful and I like the management. Best of all, I am slightly disabled and the manager personally had a ramp constructed for me. So, as a long time resident, I recommend living here.

Lived here for 5 years and for the most part had no issues. I lived in 3 different floorplans here (moved because of changing roommate situations). This complex is very affordable, is in a great location, and is relatively quiet. Most people here have families and work at the Medical Center or go to school so its pretty safe. Some roaches(its Texas, of course there are) but as long as you lay some roach traps around the apartment on Day 1 youll never see them. The worst issue I have had was in my second year living at Scotland Yard, I had repeated leaks from the ceiling that maintenance insisted on fixing one leak at a time. There were also plumbing issues and A/C issues that took multiple maintenance requests to fix, but eventually got taken care of. Overall, totally would live here again, as long as rent stayed cheap.Pro: AFFORDABLE, Great Location, Relatively quiet, New Package mailboxes, No Harvey damage in my particular unit (although it seems not everyone was so lucky)Con: Maintenance doesnt always do the best job the first time, Rodeo and Houston Texans traffic, some residents dont pick up after their dogs (even though theyre not allowed)

This is my first apartment, so I dont have much experience to go by, but this seems to be a pretty decent place to live. Its really close to a lot of places I love, and only 10 minutes from UH main campus. Most of out problems weve had with the place have been small and have been fixed pretty promptly, such as our screen door or stove. As for the residents, I feel pretty safe, but there are some shady folk that hang out close to the complex so thats kind of weird and the security guard just lets whoever in, most of the time not even checking in with them. The assistant manager lied to me about the necessity of purchasing a gate card, saying there wasnt a pass code, but there is. Also, my car got broken into the first month I moved in, which wasnt all that fun. Ants were initially a problem, but they just disappeared after two weeks. Some unpleasantries, but overall Ive enjoyed living here. My closet is ridiculously huge and our layout allows for me and my roommate to have our privacy. The one recommendation I have is to pick a place somewhat away from the front gate so you dont have so much noise.

I have lived at the complex for the past 4 months. I love that it is easy access to the Medical Center, Metro Rail and Reliant Stadium. The complex is safe and secure, the staff is friendly. Latashia is one of the front office personnel that is always very friendly and helpful, whenever I have question she responds to it promptly and professionally. Great Place to live

No bug problems, or maintenance problems. If people do have a problem its usually because there apartment isnt at its best standards. Scotland Yard is a great place to live.

My name is Barbara Brooks and I love my Assistant Manager Irene Balderas and Mr. Walter Blaylock. They are the greatest. I have been here for 11 years. The whole staff is magnificent. Whenever there is something wrong with my apartment they go out of there way that same day to accommodate me. I love it here at Scotland Yard because of the office management and employees. I would highly recommend everyone to Scotland Yard.

Kara is the most efficient and your satisfaction will be maximized with her. If Kara isn’t available, ask for Andrea.It would have been five stars but I have been having some issues with the office (in Kara’s absence, surprise surprise).

If you are looking the apartments Scotland Yard yard is the best one that you can live at and I mean that from the bottom of my heart the manager named the staff the maintenance everyone is very nice and come on time when you have a complaint so come
