We have lived her for 2 years and we are very happy. Location is great, close to grocery, restaurants, night life etc. We have had minimal problems with our apartment and if there is, the maintenance team is very fast and helpful. Pet friendly is also amazing for my dog. This will be our home until we want to move into a house!

I was one of the first people to move in and even though our move in date was pushed due to construction, the office was able to get us in a couple days after. Our apartment has great finishes with new appliances, building has large dog park and the price was the best in this area. Tom Thumb is a close neighbor and it’s very central to locations around (deep ellum, downtown, uptown) without being directly in these locations. The office staff is great and communicative with all updates. I do wish the pool was open and the interior hallways have been pretty warm however there is always pros and cons with remodeled buildings. Management is very nice and stays on top of things which is good. I am excited to see the finished product.

There are occasional minor issues, but honestly, thats to be expected anywhere. The management is responsive, and I’ve been happy with my choice.

I love this place so much! I really enjoy their gym and the friendly community of neighbors! The hallways are kept clean and management so welcoming! The location is unbeatable Nextdoor to Tom Thumb and walking distance to great shops!

I love this apartment complex and I find the management and residents to be lovely, but I need a raise. Trash butler cut everyones pay by 45% and I know they still charge the apartments and residents 100% so they get 145% profit

Moved in when the building reopened in 2022. The office management has greatly improved and the community is great. They are fast, friendly and efficient at responding to maintenance requests or any issues that come up in the complex.

We stopped by for a tour and absolutely loved it. The leasing agent was amazing. He was fairly new but very informative and answered any questions we had. The property itself was clean and tidy. It’s right next to a grocery store which is so convenient. Overall, we would recommend if you’re looking for an a place in this area.

I have been here for over a year, and my experience has been great. Ive read some reviews and its understandable that some things happen but theyve always been extremely fast and helpful when things did occur. The management team and front office staff have been great. Ive recently renewed my lease and switched to a bigger unit, and they were super helpful in the process. Plus they always host events and are really dedicated to the safety of the property. Highly recommend this community.

My husband and I have been here for 3 weeks. So far our experience is good. Our unit is not perfect however it is nice with new fridge/freezer, cooker, microwave, chiller and dishwasher. Our unit is situated in the middle and has been quiet except for this past Friday there was like a party in the hammock lounge until late night. Tenant on top of us we can hear their footsteps, the unit below us might also hear our footsteps.The apartment is very convenient to my workplace, has grocery store next door.Erica from the property management is very nice and responsive to our questions.Hopefully this will be a continued good experience as this will be our new home.

Literally first review I’ve ever left, for anything. Moved here from Houston and the front office was extremely helpful. The property manager has been super understanding of my times, very kind, and enthusiastic. I know that there are a lot of things in apartment buildings that happen everywhere and that are out of their initial control, but they do their absolute best to help and fix issue quickly. Extremely thankful for them during their promptness and problem solving.

Hi, my name is Jordan I’ve been living in the oak and Ellum community for over a year now. I’ve honestly had no bad experiences. It’s very quiet. The halls are clean, no trash pilled up in trash room to attract mice and things. Even the parking garage is always clean and people can be nasty throwing things down but they are always there to make it clean and nice! They come and spray weekly like they promised from get go! Every minor maintenance request I have put in has been resolved the same day. The amenities are terrific! I see a few reviews on here and I feel like they must have actually been angry people! This community is very welcoming, when you walk in the front office it’s all smiles from Erica, Hannah and Eddie. I can go on and on if you’re looking for a safe place to live this is it! Security is on site every single night and even does round checks all through the night! I give my apartment complex 5 stars but 10 if it was possible! Specifically for making my space feel like home and keeping it safe!

I found this apartment online while I was in the process of moving out of state, and it got really good reviews. Overall I’ve had a pleasant experience. I’ve lived here for about a week. My apartment is nice and cozy, the appliances are new, and my balcony, with the view of downtown Dallas, is incredible. I also like the amenities and location so far. It’s also very dog friendly.

Update. I moved out of oak & Ellum and have no bad blood towards the complex. The one thing I will say is that If you get a city facing unit and it is not on the 5th floor, You will hear the Dart and the Dallas fire dept trucks passing by. They are both very loud but to be honest, after a while you get used to it.While living here, others have experienced people breaking into their cars and stolen packages from their doors. I never experienced either of these.The security isnt perfect but they drive the parking lot multiple times day and night and I have even been asked what I was doing and if I was a resident while rummaging through my own car. embarrassing but that just means they are doing their job.They did charge me a $75 cleaning fee for a small stain left on the carpet.Original 09/22 - So far my experience with Oak & Ellum has been nothing but great! The units look outstanding with high ceilings and the amenities are also very nice! Also, they have a 2 floor gym!I toured with Justin R and he was able to make the tour enjoyable all while making sure that i knew every detail about the complex and that all my questions were answered. Even called a few times to ask some questions and the Office staff was very polite & helpful!Great rates especially for the location of the complex. I cant really speak on living there just yet, but from my experience so far i think i would love it!

6 months later and still a safe place for me to live! Management has responded to my maintenance request in a timely way. I have not had any of the problems mentioned in other reviews. The only problem I have is with tenants that allow their pets to potty in the hallways and leave it for maintenance to clean up. Regarding fire alarms and water being cut off - Management sends email notification days before disruption.

I’ve lived here for a year and my renewal is still at a great price at when I first moved in so I’m happy about that. Only issue is pet owners here can be lazy and not clean up after themselves which leaves messes! Any issues I’ve had in my apt have been fixed in a timely manner. Front desk is helpful and nice. I’ve enjoyed location here most. Will be renewing my lease.

Ive lived here coming up on 1 year and have only had positive experiences with staff and management, which is really important to me when living in a large apartment complex. The property manager, Justin, and the team are an absolute gem. He went above and beyond to help us with something recently and its really refreshing to interact with someone who cares about the residents genuinely. I love the location of Oak and Ellum as well. Close to downtown, and a bunch of eateries and shops.

Oak & Ellum is my home, with premium spaces and fantastic amenities. My dog lives with me and enjoys our extra-large balcony and private yard. Theres even a self-service dog spa room where he can get a bath - all soap included! The staff are my friends, and I never want to move anywhere else. Gary will also ensure Maintenance issues are resolved in 2 days max, so I know Im in good hands here. As far as amenities, lets talk about the saltwater pool and double-level fitness room, including the Lululemon Mirror, to take any fitness class you can imagine, and they have yoga equipment, a full rack of free weights, and cardio machines. Theres even a Tom Thumb Grocery store right across the street. They offer fun monthly events with food, free doggie treats in the lobby, and outdoor grill stations! Its like I’m constantly on vacation living here!

Beautiful place for downtown living! Prime location close to everything needed. Large airy apartments with gorgeous views. The building and our apartment are absolutely wonderful, and the staff has been incredible since day one.
