My daughter resided in two different apartment complexes while in College Station. Domain Northgate came highly recommended by another family, and they were spot on; it’s an excellent choice with just the right size—not too cramped or overwhelmingly large. Its location is ideal for college students, being within walking distance to the university, Kyle Field, Starbucks, and late-night dining options. The rooms, closets, and bathrooms offer ample space, and the staff is both professional and attentive. The manager genuinely aims to enhance the residents experience, creating a welcoming atmosphere rather than a purely transactional one. It was comforting to know my daughter was seen as a valued resident rather than just another tenant. The amenities are impressive, particularly the gym, which is consistently fresh and clean—something I always notice upon entering apartment complex gyms. It truly was the perfect place for my daughter. -

I absolutely loved living here. The maintenance staff are so quick, so efficient, and so very genuinely sweet. The staff in general are so easy to reach, very friendly, and just as quick at meeting your immediate needs as the maintenance staff are. I had a really good experience living here and I never had any issues. The location could not be any more perfect, it’s such a quick walk to campus, Kyle Field, and Northgate. Overall, truly 5/5 stars. -

The price, furnished apartments, close to campus, and the on-site amenities. The staff is very helpful. I would highly recommend. -

The combination of the price, furnished apartments, proximity to campus, and the on-site amenities they offer make the Domain a great value. I lived here for 3 years, and the only complaints I can ever remember were with neighboring apartments being loud (the complex is in Northgate though, thats just the price you pay living there). I havent checked recent rent prices, but they were reasonable for a nice apartment in Northgate while I lived there. The new maintenance guys they got 2.5 years ago also deserve a shout out. They are fantastic, and were always super nice and responded quickly to any requests we had.I took it for granted while I lived there, but after moving away post-graduation its dawned on me just how well run they are and how much effort they put into their tenants. Sometimes you dont know how much worse it could be! -

The management, specifically Jackie, was attentive and extremely accommodating and helpful. The great experience began with the 1st phone call to the property staff members, and not only did I receive great return phone calls and followup, but they did everything they promised. The pressing nature and timeline of our move required more assistance than normal and they were ready for the challenge. We had a flawless move. I recommend Domain Northgate as a great option when looking for student housing as the amenities and the proximity to the TAMU campus are ideal. -

I lived here for 3 years (sophomore-senior) mostly for the convenience to campus as an engineer. The amenities I used the most were the gym and printers and both were functional every time I needed them. Gym equipment is clean and has never been broken when I’ve needed it. Maintenance was quick to respond to issue but in 3 years all we really had was our dryer go out, ac go out 3 times, and smoke detector replacements. The windows leaked a bit during the winter storm but that was an exceptional time and I bet most apartments had that issue. I was disappointed with rate increases each year being based on extra amenities such as a social club for residents with planned events and a hot dog restaurant, both of which were closed before covid started and the hot place closed permanently. Had covered parking all three years through lease-signing deals which id recommend because of crazy college station weather. Don’t need a campus parking pass if you like walking or biking.TLDR; I would definitely recommend living here, above the first floor if possible because the alley on 1st street is quite loud and residents get home late from northgate. -

I really enjoy living at the Domain! Being within walking distance to campus saves a lot of time and money instead of using gas to go to class every day. If you enjoy northgate, its also cheaper being able to walk there instead of paying for Ubers. The staff are very respectful as well. Every time I have friends over they talk about how much they wish they lived there along with me because it is such a nice apartment. -

The Domain at Northgate is an awesome place to live the apartments are nice and spacious and super close to campus. They also have a great gym that’s never packed, free starbucks coffee, and a study lounge that comes in handy around finals. I feel like the office has always been done their best to work with me on anything I needed, and while guest parking has been an issue in the past they started a new guest parking process that has eliminated this. In my opinion 10/10 would recommend i’ve resigned every year I’ve been at A&M and I’m sure you will too! -

Internet will be down randomly, but its not really their fault.Towing is never, ever enforced. Construction is currently happening so expect loud noise and early morning wakeups from it. They have a printer, but someone keeps stealing the toner. Starbucks coffee machine never has hot chocolate, but it does have good coffee. Besides those things the rooms are nice, and the maintenance people are very friendly. Also they have events here that are fun to attend. Only real issue is getting a good price for rooms, by that I mean one friend of mine waited a week until school started and got $100 off her rent per month. Overall decant place. -

My daughter lived at the Domain for two years and had a positive experience overall. Parking for guests was a hassle and they are quick to tow. There was a lot of turnover at the front desk that caused confusion and issues, but thats normal for a new property. Loud, but its a college apartment complex. She walked to class and had no problems outside of the Texas heat. -

Contacted Northgate Domain re: housing for our daughter who will attend A&M. Dealt with Hector who was extremely helpful with various aspects of signing up, parking, questions about arranging payments, etc. Hector was a pleasure to work with and very efficient and effective at getting a positive outcome. He is the BEST! -

Oh my goodness these people are so nice and helpful, Hector, Ana, and another nice lady that I didn’t get a name for are far and away nicer, and more helpful that anyone one at any place in College Station. In an age where heaven forbid if you ever have a conversation with a person, these people are in a league of their own. Thank you! -

I think the staff who works here are very very nice, especially Julie (the custodian). Overall a very nice place to live.My only complaints include the very inconsistent internet as well as some of the gym equipment. The gym equipment should be sold and replaced to fit more useful machines. -

EDIT: Fall 2021: Since the last time I reviewed, The Domain has gone out of its way to improve bandwidth and its overall internet quality. I would like to add that I was ignorant towards the fact that the BCS area in general is known for somewhat poor internet service, and that The Domain should not be to blame what so ever. I would once again like to commend the wonderful staff that work tremendously hard on site. From management to the maintenance staff and custodians, The Domain is constantly fostering a cozy/happy community for its residents. Location cannot be beat, I’ve lived on other properties within the Northgate area, The Domain is by far my favorite. The steps The Domain takes in order to ensure everything on the property is up-kept is done in a timely manner. And for all those reasons above, I would gladly recommend The Domain to any future residents.Spring 2021: This apartment complex is well-located. Staff is helpful. Complex is also cozy, no real complaints. However, the issues with the internet connection at this place are not to be ignored. Throughout the past year, I found myself continuously trying to find an internet connection in order for me to be present during online classes. In an age of online classes, it is inexcusable to have an unreliable internet connection. “Changes” or “upgrades” are always said to be made, but find little to no change as a result of these alleged attempts to improve. -

Good things:-amenities (24/7 pool & gym specifically. I used the gym nearly every morning and never had a problem with it being crowded or the machines or equipment not working.)-friendly residents-location is very nice here. I could walk to all of my classes which is essientially what I wanted being a Freshman often on main campus. also was pretty easy to walk across the block and get food whenever you needed. Potbelly, Northgate Juice Joint, Blackwater Draw, Starbucks, Antionios, and Dominos were all extremely close to Domain.- There is a lot of free food days which didnt necessarily matter to me specifically but I know a lot of people did enjoy them.Inconveniences:-construction (it isnt Domains fault but did wake me nearly every morning and caused issues in my wing with the wifi - it would stop working during certain times which was an added stress. just happened about 4 times.)-unreliable printer service ~ i would suggest buying your own between your roommates- Walking home from the library late at night (This also isnt Domains problem but being a girl walking through sometimes very crowded Northgate just trying to get home from the library was kind of scary. Just something to think about if you dont have people to walk you home all of the time.)Im not renewing. I made very close friends at Domain but I no longer need the main campus location. I do not regret living here, especially as a Freshman. Hope this review was fair and helped a little! - lindsey -

The best part of this place are the amenities. (Mainly the study center & coffee lounge) This place is super close to campus so if youre a student, the location is super convenient. The apartments themselves are pretty spacious, and the staff is really nice. Overall, this place is one of the best options on Northgate. Highly recommend! -

Domain is a great place to live close to campus and northgate. I give it 4 stars instead of 5 due to maintenance issues but they were fixed within a timely manner so it wasnt that big of a deal. I recommend living here if you want grocery bingo and free food every month. -

Good AC, amenities including a nice pool, good workout room and free coffee. Staying for the summer, and its pretty solid. Four stars because the walls are very thin. -

4/5 only because the internet wasn’t consistent throughout the whole year I was here but they are recently upgrading the internet so it might be much better. The staff here is absolutely amazing from Ms.Juli always willing to help with a smile to the people that run the office. They never closed down their amenities which is great bc most apartments on north gate did in fact close down they’re amenities. All in all i highly recommend this place! -

Review 25 (2017-05-05 - Rating: 5)
Lived here for 2 years and never had any major problems. Anyone close to construction just got unlucky since there is construction all over the Northgate district that is continually popping up in random spots. Cant beat the location. -
