I took a tour of the community with my best friend a few weeks back and thought I would write something positive about my experience since most people write reviews that are typically bad.We came in from having lunch to look for an apartment without an appointment. When we walked in, the lobby seemed clean and the property appeared well kept. We looked in the office and were promptly greeted by Jessica!Let me just start by saying she was nothing short of amazing!!!Once she established what we were looking for, we took an extensive tour of the property. She was incredibly knowledgeable of the area and what kind of lifestyle we wanted for Uptown.We have been touring a lot places and havent had as great of a experience and conversation as we had with her.After we left is when I realized that she was actually the Community Manager. If we choose to call Broadstone Sora home, I know the rest of the people working there will be just as great!

I have lived at the Broadstone Sora (formerly McKinney Uptown) for a year and I happily just renewed my lease. The building has a new Manager, Jessica Williams, (who arrived in December) and she has focused on getting open projects that enhance the facility completed. Broadstone Sora is centrally located with restaurants and retail shops in easy walking. The 3.5 mile KATY Trail is only a five minute walk away. The building takes resident issues (for example a maintenance issue) seriously and addresses them promptly. The Gym/Exercise room was recently completed with all new exercise equipment, all of which is very high quality The bathrooms at the exercise facility were also redone. Brodstone continues to invest in their property. The building maintenance staff is exceptional and responsive. I looked at many apartments in the area and found that this building offers excellent value for its price.

I was impressed by their commitment to going the extra mile. My tour with Gabriela was very informative and the community manager , Jessica was very kind and their professionalism shined through. The property is beautiful and close to all the things possible. Look forward to moving into my apartment very soon.

I am not a resident of Broadstone Sora but I did tour it twice this week in my hunt for a new apartment in the West Village area. I ultimately opted to go with another place based solely on floorpan however this community made it a harder decision than I had ever expected. Marie is a complete gem and knew every resident by name as they came down. The package locker is safe and organized, the hallways are bright and clean. The gym has an incredible view and the sky lounge will surely be second to none! Next time I may be looking for a place I certainly plan to check back in the hopes of there being a better fitting unit for what I need, but huge shout out to Marie for bringing a whole new level of customer & resident care into the situation hen so many other places are met with rude and careless employees!

Review from a tenant: I lived here for 3 months and would highly recommend this complex to any renter. The management, Rodney, Blanca, the maintenance and cleaning crew are all so incredible. They made me feel welcome after moving to Dallas and were all very attentive. They put on surprisingly super fun events like end of the summer pool parties, holidays shopping with local vendors, and movie nights to name a few. My dog also loved living here especially with the treats available and walking distance to Mutts. The maintenance was always quick and the free coffee was a huge plus.

I lived there for almost a year and had a great experience…Pros:1. Great management: all of the staff are super friendly and helpful, specially Rodney… he is amazing and really cares about the building2. Maintenance and work orders: they are extremely fast. They replaced my fridge in half an hour after I submitted a work order on a Saturday.3. Location: there’s a lot to do in the area… most of them in walking distance. I really didn’t have to drive. Also it is in the middle of the city my drives weren’t more than 15 mins.4. Good residents: I didn’t have any noise issues, bad parking and … mostly young professionals living their life5. Good viewThe only cons is Street noise: there are many bars and clubs in the area so every night people come and flex their muscle cars not caring about what time it is. it continues until 2am

My husband and I have lived here for a little over a year now and renewed for another year because we have had an AMAZING experience! We previously lived at the Katy where the amenities were nice but the management was cold and unhelpful. We’ve had the opposite experience here! Nora and Rodney are so kind- they treat us like family! My 1 year old loves walking through the lobby and saying hi to them and they never make us feel like we’re bothering them or in the way. The maintenance staff is super friendly and are very prompt and communicative when we need something done. We used the pool every day this past summer and it has grills, a great view, and they always throw fun community parties for the residents.Not only is the apartment itself wonderful, the location couldn’t be better! We are walking distance from so many restaurants and shopping areas as well as the Katy trail. There is even a trolley stop just down the street to take you downtown to Klyde Warren!If we could stay here longer, we would! I will be so sad to let our apartment go in a year.

Ive lived here for about 4.5 years now with no complaints. The new staff and maintenance crew are EXCELLENT and are quick to answer questions and take care of your needs. I cant stress enough how attentive they are. All of the neighbors are friendly and respectful as well. If you want a decent sized, fair priced, pet-friendly place in a great part of Dallas, you wont be disappointed living here.

The management staff here are great! They are always willing to work with the tenants and can hear them out whenever there is an issue. For example, there was a minor miscommunication on guest parking that lead to one of my guests car being towed. Management went out of their way to come to a conclusion that worked best for everyone involved. Their hard work does not go unnoticed by the community. As for the apartments, they are modern and up to date. Maintained staff is quick to fix anything that needs repaired and even went as far to give me a jump when my car was dead. Lastly, the location is unbeatable. If you are wanting to live in uptown, but dont want a gang of people outside your apartment on the weekends, then this is the spot. Walking distance to the bars south on McKinney and to West Village north on McKinney. The bars across the street is what I would call Thursday night bars. They can sometimes be loud, but usually die down at a reasonable time on Thursday. On Friday and Saturday they are usually pretty calm, especially compared to the bars down south on McKinney. In conclusion, if you live here you are at the heart of it all while still being in a quite location compared to anywhere south of here on or by McKinney. You will not be able to beat this style of living for the price in this area.

Ive had a fantastic, pleasant stay at McKinney Uptown for the past 3 years. Location in the middle of Uptown is unbeatable. Amenities, including the pool and gym, are in great shape. Rodney and Nora, as well as the maintenance staff, go the extra mile to make sure tenants feel welcome and cared for. I highly recommend this place to anybody moving to Dallas.

We have been leasing with McKinney Uptown for over 2 years now. The new manager, Rodney, has been very helpful and always has a positive attitude. He is always willing to listen and addresses any concerns in a timely manner. Nora is also willing to help in any way that she can and always has a smile on her face. We really love the improvements that have been made on the property and all of the different resident activities. We just love it here at McKinney Uptown!!

We lived at McKinney Uptown for one year from 3/2016 to 3/2017. We loved our 1 Br+Den apartment with modern appliances and beautiful kitchen. The building amenities were great! We enjoyed our stay, the pool, and the gym (on the top floor of the building). Neighbors were very nice and mainly yuppies. Coming from NYC, this is the closest lifestyle my wife and I could get when it comes to walkable areas, bars, and coffee shops. Scott from the management team was always available to help. If we ever come back to Dallas, wed definitely consider McKinney Uptown again. Thks.

Ive been a resident at McKinney Uptown for the past 3 years and absolutely love it! Located in the heart of uptown its centrally located to the best of the best in Dallas! Blocks from Katy Trail, Mutts Dog Park, Katy Trail Icehouse, and West Village! I leased my apt sight unseen and could not be happier! Rodney and Nora in the front office and the maintenance staff are not only extremely friendly and helpful, but they have become great friends I look forward to seeing everyday!

Mckinney uptownWhere do I begin. This place is amazing.1. We were in a spacious 2/2 with a den/dining room. The price couldn’t be beat. Everything was updated and beautiful. I had sticky bug traps out since it’s an apartment but they were always clean which says a lot2. It’s very safe living here. You have to have fob access to enter the building, parking garage and the elevator. They rarely ever malfunctioned. There is a police officer who lives in the building and will respond to you if you need him. He’s amazing.3. The location is perfect. Right on mckinney Avenue. Perfect location for parks, walking to restaurants and Whole Foods.4. The people who live here are very nice. There is a man who has lived here for about 13 years. He’s extremely nice. So nice that he made my daughter a little Valentine’s Day bag. In this area people aren’t always super friendly. But this building is the exception.5. The staff!! I really can go on and on about them. They are amazing. They truly care about the residents. They have resident events monthly that always involve food. People love to eat. Lol if you have a maintenance issue it’s resolved pretty quick. I’ve never had a complaint. But Rodney, Nora and Manny (the staff) are unmatched. There aren’t many children in the building but I have a little girl and was pregnant. They loved her. The property manager Rodney bought her gifts and always took care of her when he went on vacation. Nora the assistant manager was so kind to my baby that my baby would look for her. Anytime we went to the office she would go directly to Nora. I was home alone a lot because hubby worked out of town and they always would check on me. If I didn’t stop by the office they would call to ensure that we were okay. But two things stood out the most. I canceled my baby shower at the last minute and told them about it. They surprised me with a baby shower in the lobby. It was amazing. They had food, decorations, and lots of gifts. The regional manager even bought gifts. But the icing on the cake was when I went into labor and went to the property manager with my 1 year old needing to get to the hospital. He got an ambulance there so fast and ensured that I was comfortable with my contractions being 2 minutes apart. He was prepared to deliver my baby if I needed him to. Lol I looked at my phone the next morning in the hospital and realized he even sent several texts to check on us.I can really go on and on about this property. In short, it’s amazing in the very way.

This complex is in a great area in Uptown, near West Village, close to restaurants and shops (no night clubs in front of the building or around, so less noisy than other areas).My personal experience with the management and maintenance team is excellent. They are all very friendly, polite and responsive.There may be other buildings that have a more “luxury vibe” around this area but Mckinney Uptown has all the essential things: pool, gym, garage, locker room, it is modern, well maintained and the rent is reasonable. And one of the most important things: this community is super pet friendly, my dog is so loved by all the people working here! They treat him like a king and make me feel they care about us.I also love the community events they organize from time to time, I have had the opportunity to meet some of my neighbors and make some good friends.

This place is the absolute perfect location if youre looking to be in the middle of the action. It is within walking distance of no less than 40 bars/restaurants/coffee shops/etc. The ameneties are great, the apartments are spacious and Nora and Rodney in the office are super helpful and very friendly. Im so happy to call McKinney Uptown my first home in Dallas!

Mckinney uptown is the perfect place to live if you are an active dog owner. Dog friendly patios right across the street and a quick walk to Katy trail or West Village. McKinney Uptown also has a dog run, very convenient for off leash play. Rodney and Nora are two of the best property managers that I have ever had, basically family after living here for a few years.

Lets start with location... You cant find a better place on McKinney, or in Uptown than here. 2 blocks from Katy trail, a Whole Foods, UPS, Starbucks, CVs and Walgreens and dozens of restaurants and hotspots within walking distance but even better, the trolley stops right out front! More importantly, the staff... Rodney, Nora and Manny are BEYOND amazing. I originally toured with Rodney, and then met Nora. Rodney was friendly, helpful and able to show me the building and unit last minute and quickly as I was leaving town. Nora, was kind, patient and more than accommodating when we hit a few snafus in the process. Manny has been quick, clean and informative on any maintenance needed. The building is extremely well maintained, always smells lovely (even like a hotel) and is very clean and beautifully decorated (especially during the holidays) I have lived a lot of places that look good on paper, and then feel stale after moving in but this place is unique- you feel more like a human, and family than a resident and that sense of community is largely in part to Nora and Rodney as they are always there to chat, and have a resident each month. Thank you for making this feel like a home!!!

My roommate and I did not end up going with any of the amazing places Sharron found for us, but we would definitely recommend her services to anyone thats in the market. She was responsive to emails and calls and was able to identify excellent options for us based on our criteria and budget. Having worked with several other locators, her work was exceptional. We liked almost every apartment she recommended and none of them were outside the price range we had given. The only reason we didnt pursue one of her recommendations was because an apartment became available in a complex where our friend was staying. This wasnt originally the plan, so she didnt know to suggest that location to us. Highly, highly recommend Sharron Elliott of Dallas Luxury Realty!!!

I lived here during the transition of ownership, and want to say the new management is a huge upgrade from my original experience. Very friendly!! Every request I made could not have been handled better. A lot of the reviews are older so definitely give the new group a shot. Great location too.

The McKinney Uptown is a 10 story mid-rise in the just about the middle of Uptown. It sits on a busier section of McKinney Avenue. The location is a few blocks from the West Village and a few more blocks to the “night life” section of McKinney Avenue. The location is prime if you want to be in the “heart” of Uptown, definitely.Here are features I liked:• Hardwood style floors – Every apartment has thick hardwood floors in the living and dining areas. They have carpet in the bedrooms and tile in the kitchen.• Lots of Windows and Natural light: The McKinney Uptown floorplans really have a great amount of windows and natural light. In combination with the lighter wall colors, it is easier to “feel cheery” here…seriously.• Newer appliances – Appliances are newer and all of the right ones are included.• Granite Countertop – The kitchens have a darker granite countertop. The bathrooms are more plain, with cream color countertops (not granite).• Great Views of DOWNTOWN and UPTOWN – If you are wanting some great views, go to the 5th and 9th floors and face either south (downtown) or north (uptown). There is no other mid-rise this tall around, so you will really get some great views!• Nice carpet – I don’t normally care much for carpet. But, I like the quality and look of the carpet in these apartments. It seems more thicker and cheerful. I can’t believe I just said that. JAlthough the McKinney Uptown is above average in their apartment, they also have some weak spots…namely:• Average Size Closets – The closets are ok, not huge.• Washer/dryer not included – The McKinney Uptown does not include a washer/dryer set.• No laundry room – They also don’t include a laundry room. You will need to rent or buy a set.• No walk in showers – The apartments here have the standard TUB style of shower/bath combo (think quick trip to Target for shower rings, curtain). It just makes life easier if it is a walk in.• Patio/Balconies not included: Very few of the apartments have balconies. But, there are a few of them that have GINORMOUS balconies…ones that are the size of a LARGE ROOM. Overlooking with a great view…they don’t come around often.• Kitchens a little small – Ok, I know that an apartment kitchen is just normally not going to be big. This is NOT a super small kitchen, but I think it is a bit smaller than the average Uptown apartment kitchen.I think the apartment itself at the McKinney Uptown is attractive and will please many tastes. It definitely is NOT over the top in any way, but very safe.For additional information, please review my further thoughts at Uptown101 .
