We did a walk in tour with no appointment on Saturday and we were able to see many apartments and different floor plans. The leasing agent was very sweet and attentive! She showed us many different units and took time to answer all the questions we had and was patient with us looking around.

I scheduled a time and date to tour the complex and when I arrived, I was warmly greeted by Brealey and Estella. I spoke with Brealey about the type of apartment I was looking for and she looked at the availability and we started our tour. She was very knowledgeable about the facility and explained the different layouts and the renovations going on. I have been apartment hunting for a short time and have scheduled a few tours but this was the first time I felt welcomed and not like I was interrupting someone’s break. I really appreciate their kindness and willingness to help find an apartment for me.

Apartments are nice and quiet. Ive been here 14 months havent seen any crime. Management was a little rocky since the manager Sarah returned. Things got a lot smoother. Would definitely recommend living here. Me and my roommate dont plan on moving any time soon.

Edit: so this is year 2, and its been pretty decent. Parking hasnt been too bad, Ive been able to come home around 9-10pm and still find a decent spot.My area is nice and quiet, no one bothers each other. The neighbors I have seem have been very nice. I ever had one help me jump my car a few weeks back when it got super cold.There are pros and cons to living here, but so far, I have enjoyed my stay. The staff has been more supportive and attentive. Spanish speakers and very kind people. Ms. Stelle and the crew are always checking on residents needs and are highly responsive. Ive been here for almost 8 years and love the community.

The apartment itself is decent layout and nice. The people who work in the office, never seem to be there more than a couple of months. Therefore it doesn’t seem like they really care about the residents who live on property. While for the most part they’re polite and professional, they don’t seem to actually take the problems brought to their attention seriously. When there is a problem they say that they’ll respond or take care of it, but they don’t take care of it in a timely manner. Serious problems or simple updates of having maintenance on site, are not communicated with the residents.

I’ve been here at Sunrise Canyon since December 2019. This apartment community is a great place to be. My family and I plan to renew our lease as long as we are in this area. Everyone on staff is very friendly and responsive to us. Work requests are done in a timely fashion. I appreciate that. I love the location. It’s so close to everything like shopping and restaurants over at the Forum. I feel safe here, the police and fire departments are basically next door. Theresa, Sarah, Ephraim and Callie are a big part of what makes this apartment community feel like home to our family. Thank you.I’m still here and plan to be for awhile. I appreciate all the managers and staff that work together like a well oiled machine.

Updated on 1/23/24: I requested a transfer to a new garage and when the transfer happened, I didnt realize the overhead light in the new garage was out. Jerry and Benny with maintenance happened to be nearby, they stopped what they were doing and took care of the situation immediately. They brought a ladder and a light bulb and replaced the light bulb on the spot. They made my life easier because I didnt have to submit a maintenance request, nor did I have to wait for it to be done. A big thank you to Jerry and Benny for their prompt attention. I also want to mention a really nice landscaping improvement to the walkway near my building. For a long time the walk way would get overrun with mud whenever there was heavy rain. Now the area has been landscaped with medium size river rocks and it looks beautiful! They also added those rocks around the base of two trees on the opposite side of the walkway. Its such a HUGE improvement and now the walkway is better than its ever been.Back in 2017 I moved to Sunrise Canyon, at the time renovations were being done in some of the units in the complex, however my particular unit only received new carpeting but no other updates. After being in my unit for a period of years, there were multiple items that needed to be updated. The kitchen flooring was one of the main items that needed to be replaced. I asked on and off for over 2 years for the flooring to be replaced or at least repaired. The issue was that the glue was no longer holding some of the vinyl planks in place and they would shift. Because the flooring was only separating and not damaged, I had started to give up asking about it. However, along came Quincie. She came in as an assistant manager. She spent so much time and effort getting approval from corporate, making multiple calls to the contractors (and them initially misunderstanding the situation), then also working with the contractors through multiple scheduling issues. During the process, I asked Quincie not to forget about me and true to her word, she never did forget. The level of customer service provided by Quincie was outstanding!! She is friendly, professional, extremely helpful and very knowledgeable. She stands on her word and ensures that residents receive the attention and service that they need, ensuring that Sunrise Canyon remains a beautiful place to live. WAY TO GO QUINCIE! 🙂

Such a great place to live! The area is quiet and management is very attentive! The apartments are updated and the grounds are well kept! This complex has a great location too with a school, Forumn shopping center, restaurants, police department and fire department nearby! Highly recommend to anyone!

This new management team TOTALLY ROCKS!!! i cant say enough good things about them ...from pool care to lighting outside that hasnt worked in years to repair requests that get fixed in days vs weeks and months from old staff.These people Really Do Care !!They meet you at the door like family and are happy to help in anyway .!! So amazing to find staff like that in todays day and time !! Would definitely give them 10 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐!!!

I moved here in April of 2022 and have overall had an overall great experience . Everyone I have met from the office staff , to the maintenance team and even a few neighbors have all been friendly . The few maintenance problems I have had , have been resolved quickly . The apartments themselves are pretty quiet which I enjoy .

I loved my stay at Sunrise Canyon. I have lived here for almost 2 years now and had to leave due to a new job. I want to thank Kali, Sarah and all the rest of the staff for their professionalism, attentiveness and kindness. Anytime I have an issue, they are always quick to call me back and assist me to get things done. This is a great area to stay. Less than 10 mins drive to the Forum with many restaurants and Costco and less than 4 mins drive to HEB and Walmart. I want to thank Sunrise again and my wonderful time here.

Sunrise Canyon is by far the best apartment I have ever lived in! My fiancée and I are upgrading from a 1 bedroom to a 3 bedroom since we have extended our family from 2 to 4 now. Sarah at the front desk has been so understanding and helpful with getting us moved in on time and keeping us updated with maintenance. It has been very enjoyable living here. The staff has been so personable and that’s probably the best feeling to experience in a place we call home! Thank you to everyone who works so hard to help our community!! This place wouldn’t be the same with out y’all.

Look this place biggest problem is parking and 2nd I feel the management has gone down hill.Moving original at the start of my lease was a mess and things eventually got worked out with a unclean apartment, paint all over the vinyl flooring.The reason why I say things have gone down hill is because look at the how well kept the normal outside apartment building is. Look at the side walks, outside ppl doors how clean the siding is,and how mud still their when I moved in still on the side walk,parking spots ect...Look how they gave less than 24 hour notice for tree trimming and threatening to tow your car when they are no spot openYou cant tell me you didnt know a week ahead of time on tree trimming

Experience here so far has been pretty good. The management team at the complex has been very helpful with any questions we have had. The maintenance team here is great we had our A/C go out last summer and they were at my apartment same day and were able to fix the problem. The apartment we are in compared to the last one I stayed at does get a lot more dust, Im not really sure to why though? Ive seen the negative reviews about the complexs lack of management and maintenance staff but we have seen consistency in the people we have worked with and they have always been a pleasure meeting all of our needs in a timely manner. The only thing that sucks here would be the parking. Later at night it seems like I have to park so far away from my apartment. Although I will say it has gotten better ever sense they have started issuing parking passes to residents. I realize every apartment complex is going to have its pros and cons. You can never satisfy everyone but overall this is a great place to stay. After all its good for a little more exercise! Btw they have also updated the gym here with free weights and new equipment.

Me and my daughter moved on this property over the weekend and it was the best move I have ever had. First, the maintenance staff did an amazing job on perparing the unit and we are very happy we choose to live here. Second, the office staff Teresa and Lauren are probably the best tag team champions in property management. I have so many things I could say about them that are great. So Im just happy I allowed them to help me and very excited to enjoy this beautiful, peaceful, and amazing property. Thanks Sunrise Cayon.

This review is based off of Ms. Danika (Dani). I was stressing on a quick move to the San Antonio area due to a work transfer. Luckily after calling around numerous places & speaking to to some not-so-friendly representatives, my call to Sunrise was answered by Dani.She was very helpful & listened to my needs & concerns. She also understood that my move was part of a two part plan. During our intial phone call, I was not aware she was already suppose to be off work until at the end of our conversation. She stayed on the phone to address my concerns without rushing the conversation & suggested the best options in my situation. I drove in the next day from over 2 hours away to sign a lease with Sunrise. If she had not been so attentive to my needs & as patient as she was, I probably would not had become a resident in the first place.Management changed & I was disappointed she was no longer with the complex. However, 2 months later after all the changes were made she ended up being a part of the management team once again at Sunrise. This was a good thing for their team because without her, I honesty do not think they would have received my business.***IMPORTANT side note*** Parking is NOT something you will find easily at Sunrise. There is a waiting list at times for the carport or garage but if you get one it will completely take that parking issue aspect out. I went the first month without a garage/space & would have to park on the opposite side I lived from which is not cool especially when it is late at night & you have kids or groceries to unload. There was no way I was going to do this with my kids so I got a garage to eliminate the issue. It worked out well because I was even able to fit a fridge, extra set of tires & lawn equipment in there along with my Impala. I mention car type for size reference. They are as full sized as you can get when it comes to sedans.

I have lived at Sunrise Canyon over 4 years and have enjoyed much of my time being a resident. Because of the number of years, I have also seen people at the office come and go and although I have had a few bumps along the way, people like Sarah Lozano NEVER fail to impress! She is one of the consistent faces that I am SO grateful to see whenever I have an issue. Sarahs professionalism goes above and beyond! Her level of excellence shows in how she patiently listens, her kindness and caring, tone of voice, and her consistency in getting things done...and done right. She is a shining star at Sunrise Canyon and one of the reasons it remains a great place to live!!

I loved this place because of their management. Lived in the corner apt. for 2 years. Never saw any drama, heard noises, or any such thing. Hollie the office manager goes extra miles to solve the tenants issues if any. Maintenance guys stay on top of the jobs. Their club house is always clean and everyone working under Holli is friendly. Had some outside roaches that made into apartment but pest control is very efficient in showing up on time to spray.

We have lived here at the sunrise canyon apt s for almost 1 year. We enjoy the location its closed to everything that we need when we shop and its close to our church & gym where I go to. My wife she really enjoys working out at their gym here at the apartments. We both enjoy your pool swimming pool very much. We have nice neighbors here & its quiet and peaceful here.Before we moved in here at sunrise canyon we worked with DANIKA & she helped us to get a nice apartment.She was really nice to us and very helpful and answered all of our questions and made us feel at home right away . We missed her a lot when she left & we are very happy that she is back with us again. Sunrise Canyon it´s lovely residential area who offers everything you need to live comfortable. I have recently moved here with my husband, from Spain, and even if it´s so far from there, we feel like at home in our cozy and nice apartment. There is a residential pool, also a gym, and the place is so well placed near stores and the downtown. So great to live here!

When I discovered Avenue 5 had taken over and planned to implement management changes, I hoped Danika Saenz would be the first, (the only obvious) person picked up to continue managing Sunrise Canyon.Between June and October 2017, the Sunrise Canyon Apartments went through a series of management changes that were simply chaotic. It seemed, every time I went into the office, there were different people managing and administrating.When I saw Dani for the first time, I felt this was just another change of everything with which I had become comfortable. Over time, with Dani, the complications and confusion subsided. Dani was a GODSEND. She whipped things into ship-shape. Everything had gone smoothly.When I received my new bill for rent, I found it was double what I had agreed to in my lease.I went in to the speak with someone when Dani came from the front office to help. Dani was able to quickly resolve the issues and assured me this anomaly was corrected. She also shared that her presence was only temporary, through the transition. This broke my heart!! A week later I went in to confirm my monthly rent amount. I met with Mr. Herrera and he was a gentleman and able to confirm all was fixed.I request that Dani is selected to continue with Sunrise Canyon.Thank you for considering my request,Reine C. When I began apt hunting in the area, Sunrise was the last place I looked at for the day. I was extremely frustrated with the places I had visited earlier. Either the spaces were small, the amenities sucked or the staff wasnt knowledgable enough to give a tour (thanks for nothing Peppermint!). I came to Sunrise with not a lot of hope. Then I met Danika. I had called ahead so by the time I arrived, she had met me outside with a wave and the biggest smile! She introduced herself, led me to the office where I met the rest of the staff, Lisa and Stephanie, and offered me refreshments (it was sooo hot that day). Not only was this different from the other places I had viewed but I felt like I had just made a new bestie! She kept it real, which I really appreciated most. I love coffee and she recommended a great coffee place closeby. I love my apt and things havent skipped a beat with Dani on the job. When I received a notice regarding proof of insurance needed, I got it to Dani and she processed it right away so I wouldnt be penalized. She is on top of all the issues that arise and gets the job done. When he cares about residents and not only issues they encounter at Sunrise but on a personal level. She is like family and has truly helped me turn my experience in SA into a home away from home.

Beautiful and safe place to live. In walking distance of Walmart, CVS, gas stations and grocery stores! Northeast Lakeview just a few miles away. Sunrise Canyon has a Great staff and very nice pool with community events. The police station and fire station are also a stones throw away! I have lived here over a year and just signed another years lease.

I havent lived in an apartment for years, so imagine my apprehension. I was picky, had some leads from co-workers and on-line reviews. Choose Sunrise Canyons because it is quiet, close to work, not to far from other amenities. Staff is nice and helpful as well. Not sure who dictates the prices, think they are a little high, but overall, very pleased with my choice. If I have to make a negative observation...no recycling. Ahhhhh! (hence no 5th star) Otherwise highly recommend.
