    What can I say about my stay at Southern Oaks!!! Well from start to finish Brenda was AMAZING!! I never had any real big issue and any small maintenance issues were fixed promptly. Brenda was the first office manager I met and when I say she went above and beyond for me I could not have moved to a better place because she relieved so much stress. The apartments for the most part are peaceful with some great neighbors. Of course all apartments have their little flaws but Southern Oaks flaws come at a minimum. If they had 3 bedrooms I would have definitely just switch apartments but being I needed more space is the only reason I moved. The landscaping and pool are always kept up almost daily it seems and have even added decor rocks and such to make your view even better. The office and maintenance staff are so nice and catered to my needs to the best of their abilities. I loved my stay at Southern Oaks. I had a great apartment so of course I’d recommend staying here. My experience personally was amazing!!!!

    Definitely an up and coming property. Very peaceful, the ladies in the office were super friendly. I had a good tour with Brenda. I am not moving for a couple of months but this is one of my first choices after seeing a few other complexes in the area as the prices are pretty competitive.

    I love living here Norma is the best she gets things done flat out she’s very nice and sweet and easy to talk to that’s the type of person that I admire my girl Brenda is the most pleasant person with and sparkly bubbly attitude and she’s and people’s person so cool Jennifer is the best Apt Manager that any girl could ask for the warmth and kindness she gives off that makes her awesome and thank you all for what u girls 👧 do

    BEST customer service and apartment complex appearance by far!!After several weeks of looking at many places/areas, Southern Oaks was the only one worth considering. Good online descriptions and reviews were confirmed immediately upon my arrival. Brenda is absolutely incredible…kind, funny, sweet, personable, professional, and beyond helpful. Then Jenn met with us on our second visit and was wonderful too. On my third visit, Brenda warmly greeted me upon my return and wrapped everything up with the application process (staying 30 minutes past closing). We will hopefully be approved tomorrow and move in this weekend. We are very appreciative and look forward to living there. The unit, grounds, and facilities are very nice and well maintained. Happy to give a most deserved 5-star review to Brenda, Jenn, and all the rest of the staff at Southern Oaks who care about this place and make it so pleasant for all those who live there.

    When i moved here i didnt know what to expect but this place is great compared to where I came from. Office staff is always pleasant and willing to help if I ever need anything, Brenda is always very helpful providing information or whatever I need. They have lots of events for the residents. The complex is quiet. The grounds are always well kept and the valet trash has been great. Maintenance has also been great and even shows up for emergencies after hours.

    My partner and I have lived at southern oaks for not even a year yet, but I just wanted to say that coming from our last apartments, these are a HUGE upgrade. When we initially were looking for apartments, southern oaks was the best option overall when it came to price, location, space, and even looks. Everyone at the office is so sweet, but we’ve always worked with Kat and she has always been so helpful. They also do little monthly/weekly events for the community which I definitely don’t see a lot of apartment complexes actually keeping up with. I don’t know why people leave bad reviews for the valet trash, I’ve never had an issue except for the couple of times when the bags I’ve left were too heavy which is understandable. Even if they were strong enough to carry them, the bags still break if they’re too heavy. Sometimes I see neighbors leave multiple bags and valet trash still takes everything. The community overall is quiet and kind, and I LOVE how quick maintenance is. At our last apartments, maintenance would close our requests and never come lol. And the gates actually work!     So on my hunt for a new complex, I came across this one and actually was more easier and comfortable places I been to. Not to mention how the staff is there. They are wonderful people and easily helped me with any questions I had. Brenda was the main person I spoke to and she had such a professional attitude with a great sense of humor. Definitely would recommend this place!

    Brenda is a very warming person with such a positive attitude she made my fill comfortable as soon as we met and welcomed me with open arms as a new resident she also helped me out with some information that was very helpful. I even got a house warming gift. Thank you Brenda!

    Went looking at apartments for my son and dealt with several leasing agents at different properties, most were fairly nice. However he’s about a year out, so I understand why most weren’t super excited to show us around, until we came to this property. We worked with Kat and she was fantastic, she had no problem giving us the full tour knowing he wasn’t going to lease an apartment for at least a year. She was attentive, informative and listened to his wants and concerns. She’s exactly what you’d want in a leasing agent.

    Lived here 2 years! Kudos to the admin and management they have been all helpful, very attentive, they also communicate well and listens to concerns. I am transferring to another one only because we wanted a place near our work. I can already compare how we are being treated there and here. Southern oaks mgt replies fast and attends to issues promptly. How they treat their clients here is so much better. Thank you we appreciate it. I dont really have complaints: the apartments though are not too modern as compared to the others, but its not a big thing. i would still recommend this place. I didnt have any bad experience here.

    Where to start? Office staff, maintenance team, property and upkeep? Southern Oaks was my best rental experience. During spring and summer seasons the pool was always impeccable which my daughter appreciated. Monthly landscaping to upkeep trees and bushes. Only ever had one maintenance call for our garbage disposal (my fault) and the maintenance tech came 5 minutes later at probably 8pm and fixed everything. Office staff is incredible! Anytime I needed help they were always available and professional. Being military we move a lot, more than most people. Southern Oaks took that stress away from renting and we couldn’t be happier with our experience. Thank you Shelby and Katrina!

    Nice apartment complex with clean facilities and quiet neighbors. As a caregiver, I ensure my clients well-being here. However, when I expressed concern about a stray Doberman Pinscher, the response was disappointing. A simple acknowledgment or assurance would have sufficed, but instead, all I received was “ok.” I felt dismissed and uncared for. They didnt inform me about their plan of action or provide any follow-up. This lack of response makes me question their commitment to the safety of their tenants, as the presence of a stray dog poses a risk of potential harm to the tenants and or their children.

    It is a really great apartment complex to live in. The ladies that work in the leasing office are very sweet, and their customer service is great. I didn’t have any discrepancies while living here and renewed my lease today. Maintenance is very speedy as well. It is in a great area. Many restaurants available; along with shopping centers and it is a very quiet community. I love it here!

    Living at Southern Oaks Apartments has been such an amazing experience. From day one, Luma Corp management has gone above and beyond expectations to make us comfortable and answered any questions we have had. Maintenance has been fast, friendly, and thorough. Communication between staff and tenants is always clear and updates are sent in a timely manner. We love the spacious feel & huge closets for storage our 2 bedroom apartment has. We also love having washer & dryer hookups available. Our neighbors are friendly & quiet. We have had no problem with sound bleeding in between apartments. The grounds are kept trim and are nice to walk around. We would highly recommend this complex to any of our friends!!

    Lived here for 6 years with no issues staff was very acomidating. Its a older complex but very well maintained. Since covid19 staffing was challenging but they got it right. If you need a place this is it. I hated to leave but life happens.

    I love this community because it has the best staff (office and maintenance) that I have ever encountered: personable, responsive, professional, courteous. I cannot say enough about the staff for they are truly the cornerstone of our community and why Southern Oaks is a great place to live. Because of them we have a beautiful property; because of them our maintenance requests are quickly attended to; because of them we who have no family here, feel as if we have an extended family through the staff. Whether we go into the office or pass on the property, we are greeted with a hello and warm smile. Southern Oaks is extremely accessible to just about anything you need. Stop by, say hello, meet Chelsea our Leasing Consultant and learn more about our community. You will be glad you did!

    I came in to inquire about a 2 bedroom apartment for December and not only was the unit beautiful but the staff was so patient with me and very helpful. Shelbi and Kat are top tier! You literally won’t find a better, more knowledgeable staff than the ladies here. I was very indecisive about a 1st floor or a 2nd floor because of the differences of price and features and they detailed every difference and helped me come to a decision. Great property, great staff!

    I just moved out of Southern Oaks today; I was a resident for about three years, honestly the best rental experience I have had. The property itself may not be as modern or updated as other apartments, however the staff is amazing. Every person I have interacted with there has been extremely helpful, informative, empathetic and courteous. Maintenance was always quick and worked out of sight, the grounds themselves and community are always clean and maintained. And anytime I had any sort of issue, it was resolved and addressed immediately, and any issue I did have was few and far between, I could probably count on one hand the issues I had in three years. If you are looking for a friendly and helpful community, you honestly couldnt find a better place to call home, if I didnt have to move for work, I would have continued to call to Southern Oaks my home. The only thing they could do to be even better, is just update some of the interiors; even with being a little dated, they are still in great shape and well maintained. Great place for a great price.

    I am a 2 year long resident of Southern Oaks apartments, and I must say I have always been consistently impressed by the maintenance crew, and the front staff.The management of the property have been prompt and professional regarding all business dealings and contacts. Overall I love it here, and I have lived in 4 other apartments in Texas and was nowhere near as impressed.They are located really close to a bus stop, and there are a number of businesses close by to provide quick shopping and entertainment without having to travel a long distance from home. My wife, who does not drive as of yet, is able to get places from here with much less effort due to the close mass transportation.Definitely worth a look!

    I have really enjoyed staying here. Neighbors have been very friendly. Shelbi was super easy to work with in the office, even when it was hard to do some stuff due to Covid (moved May of 2020). Maintenance wise, I have only had a minor leak under my kitchen sink, but was promptly addressed by Al and the other workers

    My wife and I moved here May 2017, and have loved it! Complex is well kept, good gym equipment, great apartment. The staff know us, and have always been so helpful. I will recommend Southern Oaks to anyone moving to Fort Worth.

    My wife and I moved in June of this year (2017) I instantly came to read the google reviews because usually these are the most accurate.....I will give my quick review...I have a 175lb Mastiff, and these were one of the few apartments that allowed us to have him with us. So instantly that is a perk, because large dogs get a bad rep, and it hurts the owners more than the animal.The office staff is very friendly. I personally feel that the staff can only be judged fairly by residents and not the I went in and they were rude people (see other comments for those people) I have had to contact them multiple times for small issues (my wife locked us out once, and a small mail issue) I dealt with Megan both times, and she was very nice and worked well with me. I live by treat others the way you want to be treated and they have treated me with respect.Maintenance - GRADE A (so far)I havent had to use them more than once, but they came quick, and fix things very quickly. we had an issue with our faucet coming unattached, and they replaced it the next morning. Nice dudes.Neighborhood - During my apartment search, this is the number 1 thing to me. I dont make a ton of money, but I dont want to have to live in Stop 6 or somewhere ghetto because I cant afford $1100.00 a month for just rent. Even though I could afford it, because I work my budget book like a boss, I dont make enough to show 3X that amount on applications. This complex worried me, since it is right off hulen, but man....it is quiet, and honestly in a great spot. It takes me 3 minutes to get to the freeway (I leave at 7:30am) I love that the other apartment residents take care of their stuff, so the apartments arent trashy. I live on the south side (left gate) and I have ZERO complaints about my neighbors. VERY QUIET.The ONLY thing that brings my wife and I some grief and it kinda becomes a big deal....is the Parking.The Parking is bad. Scale of 1-10, with 10 being the worst? easily a 7.The front office told us we could pay for covered parking ($25/month) but the available spots were pretty far from where we lived, so I just said we will park along the fence where the open parking spots are.....well, there are more cars than spots. So, sometimes I have had to park in a covered spot, because there are literally 0 spots open except the covered ones.My wife went in to buy us a spot, and they said it was taken...shocked me, because no cars ever park there.....needless to say, I am very confident in saying they dont have an updated parking chart...there are parked cars that never move that take up some of the free spaces. Management DOES put stickers on vehicles that havent moved in X amount of time, but I have literally witnessed someone just peel it off and throw it away. So, parking is loosely regulated and nothing enforced.As this is a negative to me as a resident, its good for when we have company, they dont have to visit in fear of getting towed.This parking issue is small, and becomes irrelevant because of all the other awesome stuff the apartment brings. Good community with a fun pool season, everyone hung out together at the pool and talked like we were all friends.this is just my review. Everyone has different circumstances and different situations, but this complex helped my wife and I and I recommend taking a deep look at this place.8.5/104stars/5stars

    Went on a tour here and these apartments are beautiful. The staff are all super friendly and were very helpful! I would definitely recommend southern oaks if you are looking for a nice apartment in Fort Worth!

    Was looking around with my partner. Place Is well kept and the workers I met were all super polite. Brenda gave me a welcome mug and answered alot of questions I had. For sure moved this place to the top 2 places I would wanna be at.

    My dad (and I on and off I visit him a lot and stay in summeRs) have lived here for like 5 years, and it’s an awesome complex. The people are great, the workers are great. It’s just a good atmosphere. A lot of people (that don’t live here) try to sneak into the pool area, which is annoying sometimes, but all around a great place to live.

    When looking for apartments, I was referred to Southern Oaks by a coworker. The staff here is very nice. Georgina is beyond AMAZING!!! She is so nice, professional and responsive. This is the best experience that I have had renting. I would definitely recommend Southern Oaks!

    The only complaint I have is having a random resident come banging on my door late at night looking for a maintenance guy, because him and his girlfriend locked themselves out of their apartment! How disrespectful and mindless does someone have to be to go knocking on multiple residents’ doors because of their dumb mistake, unbelievable. I sincerely feel for the poor maintenance personnel that live on sight, for the people that have zero regard for their privacy or their families. This type of behavior is not ok, and should not be condoned, I hope most know this.

    I AM A LONG TERM RESIDENT AND I LOVE IT HERE! OCCASSIONALLY THERES SOME ISSUES WITH OUTSIDERS DAMAGING THE PROPERTY- LIKE OUR GATE AND OTHER SMALL ISSUES, BUT NORMALLY ITS QUIET AND CLEAN AND MOST AFFORDABLE COMPLEX IN THE AREA. I WOULD DEFINATLY RECOMMEND SOA!
