    We had an amazing round of golf here. The staff went out of their way with top notch hospitality. Course was in excellent condition, beautiful grass. And the best part - for me - I played 9 holes in the summer, in Texas, BAREFOOT. I thought they were joking, but it was exhilarating! Hardly any bugs and like walking on soft carpet. Highly recommend!

    Great clubhouse staff. Friendly and welcoming. Made sure to let us know about the mosquitos. Course is well maintained and fun to play. We really enjoyed our 9 holes.

    The course itself is in Incredible shape. The greens are in excellent shape and they are uniquely soft. Playing the course is a blast and it’s beautiful out on every hole - very well up kept. Staff inside is friendly. As a whole the course is very cool. And if you can go during the week when there’s not a ton of people it’s a great time.If I did this review last year it would’ve been 5 stars easily. In fact playing this course is one of the things I looked forward to most when visiting Port Aransas the last couple years. The disappointing part is that the price went up SIGNIFICANTLY the past year. I’d played this course 10x since it was reduced to 9 holes and every time it was either $45 or $50 with no added tax (most recently in December 2023). But then I went the other day and it was $70 plus tax (ended up around $78) for 9 holes!! $120 is the cost for 18 which is just playing the same 9 twice.Supposedly it used to be a very nice upscale 18 hole course pre-Hurricane Harvey (never played it then). After the hurricane they reduced this course to 9 holes and it was supposed to be a cheaper, more laid back course (obviously not having a full 18 holes lends itself to that). They allow you to play barefoot which is rly cool on that grass. And $50 with a cart and range balls was affordable and I would often play multiple times per trip.So it was Super disappointing to have it go up that much for no real reason. Keep in mind not only is it 9 holes, but it’s also no Par 5s - 5 par 4s, 4 par 3s. So you’re playing this course really quick for $80. Also the course was EMPTY this time and tee times were wide open all week - I’m sure going up in cost hasn’t helped business. With the bar and restaurant nearby you’d think you’d want to draw more ppl and attract attention.Anyways if money is not an issue then this place is awesome. If you’ve never played this course it’s worth playing 9. I love everything about it and I like supporting Port A businesses. And I get it, inflation has hit everyone - Just disappointed they would charge that much. Could’ve gone up a little and not done a 50% price hike. I’ll still be playing here but just not as much anymore at that price.

    Hospitable pro shop. Course was in great condition. Would definitely play again. True links layout. As background, 9 hdcp, played Australia, Scotland, Streamsong, Torrey Pines. This was the most fun I’ve had in a while (on a golf course). Understand the wind will be a factor… a big factor.

    Fun 9 hole course in Port Aransas. Clubhouse is friendly and has some cool swag. Driving range is preset with balls thats reachable by the bridge over the highway. Fun layouts and the greens and fairways are lush. Holes arent terrible long with one par 5. Nice little restaurant and bar to wrap up your round next to clubhouse.

    One of the most beautiful courses I’ve played in Texas. The rolling hills and larger greens made for a great round of golf. The gentlemen in the pro shop and the starter were all very respectful and friendly. We took advantage of “The Loop” which was 3 par three holes in a circle that you could play as much as you like after your round.

    Ate at the restaurant at the beach club. Food was great. The restuarant was small there were many tables so there may be a wait. Definitely a must try.

    All of the staff were super friendly and helpful. I was coming in from out of town without my clubs and the clubs I rented were in great shape and the course was beautiful as well with very minimal hazards. The gentleman at the desk was very thoughtful and provided as much information as possible. Would definitely golf there again.

    Call ahead to make sure range is available. Food is decent But the bar could use a good thorough cleaning. Smells of old beer lol but aye, it’s a bar. Par three course is great for working on short game, and there’s plenty of you out there that need it.

    Very fun course, very short but still challenging, I didn’t have to use my driver and it was only 9 holes but it was very well kept, all the employees were great and the view was great. Will def play this course again when I’m in the area.

    Challenging course, especially holes 4-6. The complementary driving range was great to warm up and the service excellent. I left my range finder in the cart and did not realize it until I went home. Not only did the staff turn it in but they mailed it to me within a day of me calling them. All around great course, even better people.

    Great time. We went over Memorial Day and had a blast. We finished in like 1.5 hours and had a blast. Leave your driver at home and enjoy the tight fairways and ocean winds. The warm up par 3 is super fun

    I really enjoyed my experience here. All the staff are super friendly and Bradley in the pro shop is awesome. The range and practice green are are great for a 9 hole course and the track itself was in very good condition. Holes 3-7 were true coastal links holes and the par 3s were challenging with some great sea views. I would definitely recommend Palmilla Beach.

    I played Wednesday June 23rd. What a fantastic golf course. I could play that course every day for the rest of my life. The course was in perfect condition and is a must play for any golfer visiting Port Aransas. The Pro Bradley is a great guy and will do everything he can to make sure you have a fantastic experience. We did. Thanks and we cant wait to get back there.-Kenneth

    My family and I spent a week in Port A and I had played this course twice. Once with my wife and 2 kids in the same cart. The staff welcomed the whole family and were very nice to all. I purposely picked a slow day and my son (6 yrs) and my wife even putted a few greens with me. Everyone had a great time.A few days later I played on a Sunday (alone) and was able to enjoy the round a bit better not watching over kids, etc. Staff again- fantastic - friendly. Helpful. Cleaned clubs when done- all good.The practice facilities were great- good driving range, separate green for chipping and sand practice and another green for putting. The course itself is in a word- FANTASTIC! Great layout (Arnold Palmer does it again!) and the condition was superb. The fairways were immaculate and in GREAT shape. Bunkers in good shape. Greens had a good speed and putted true. Some subtle breaks but nothing cant read. I played the blue tees (~ 65-6600 yds.) and found plenty of challenges. A bit pricey at $90 per round but worth it. 2-3 holes had views of the ocean. Having played all over Texas- Colorado-Calif.(Pebble Beach)- this course was among the best. Treat yourself and play it at least twice! Good Luck!

    Have been vacationing here for years and finally got to play this course. We were greeted in the proshop by Bradley. He was very nice and helped us with directions and course layout. He gave us some pointers to make our round more enjoyable. Course was in great shape. From tee to green and very well kept. Greens rolled very good with great color. For sure this place is a must.

    Fun little track. Only 9 holes after Harvey. Its short but it was enjoyable. They even allow our pup to ride along.Looking for a challenge, rent the golf board instead of the cart.

    Beautiful and very challenging course. Reminds me of the links courses in Scotland. First class course and amenities. All I know is well play again. For the casual non-competitive golfer, Id recommend playing best ball, otherwise youll loose your shirt in golf balls. Have fun!

    I liked it. It was packed jammed trying to get out of there cars and trucks moving Driving Miss Daisy slow i spent at least 2 hours in the line just trying to get out of there. And the event they was charging $15 for children 13 and over which is ridiculous prices unbelievable so I decided not to go to the event but overall I enjoyed myself

    Awesome little 9 hole club. Also features a 3 hole pitch a putt short course. Right on the beach! 50 bucks WITH A CART! Free water and snacks. Very well kept greens and fairways. Go early. ITS HOT OUT THERE. Have fun!

    Cute condo out of town, was beautiful and right on the beach. They have a little bridge that you can drive your golf cart over to the beach! The shower was awesome. The only downfall is youre crowded and didnt get to park in front of the condo.

    All I have to say is WOW! Prior to coming down I read all the reviews and was extremely excited to play. This course, staff, clubhouse and amenities did not disappoint what so ever. The rate I booked on golfnow was almost stealing. I looked around to make sure the Port A police werent there!All the greens rolled true to the line and fair in speed. I commend the staff for the hard work on 11 green from the spring breakers that damaged it. Let me know if you find them. (Im here to help in seeking Texas justice.)The fairways felt like walking on velvet carpet and the tee boxes were kept clean of debris. The new clubhouse and grill still have the new car smell and in wonderful condition. The architecture resembles the surrounding structures and stays true to that beach feeling.However, since this is a destination course, I wish the website was a little more up to date with pictures of each hole with a description. (Virtual tour etc...) I know, I know thats ticky-tac but it would help in preparation.Wonderful job by all! I look forward to playing again on Monday.
