Soomin is an excellent realtor, and we cannot recommend him enough! From start to finish, he advocates for his home buyers and makes himself available to answer any and all questions. We moved from CA to TX after we saw Soomins videos on YouTube, which helped us get a feel for the different home builders in the Leander area. We ended up purchasing new build, and even after the deal closed, Soomin was helping us get some last minute issues sorted out with the builder. Buying and finding a house at the top of the Austin market was not an easy task especially being out-of-state. Soomin was very responsive and professional as well as personal….my stresses were high as (all) my criteria needed to be met. Soomin was creative in meeting our requirements and supportive throughout the entire process. ANYTIME there was a house we wanted to see, Soomin moved fast as houses were flying off the market. He negotiated and helped us to obtain the house of our dreams, working hard to make sure things like repairs were fair. I first reached out to Soomin while I was still living in New York, about 6 months before I moved to Austin. Having previously lived here, I had a sense of the neighborhoods, but came across Soomins YouTube channel and realized that my view of Austin was much more limited than I realized. I was immediately drawn to Soomins approach to giving the viewer a perspective that would help empathize with the experience of living in each neighborhood.I reconnected with Soomin about a year later, and after several unsuccessful open houses in what, at the time, was a hot market. Given his relationships with builders in the area, he was able to put a new build on my radar before it even went on the market. I was able to drive down and sign an agreement within 6 hours of Soomin forwarding me the information.Over the 6 months of time to took to finish my home, Soomin was there to answer questions about the process. When it came time to close, the market had cooled and our house was appraised for 50k less than our sales price, and Soomin was able to work with our buyers to close the gap at no additional expense to us—a superhero move.Having just closed a couple weeks ago, Soomin met us at our new home with a bottle of champagne, and sent us a beautiful framed rendering of our house. He is truly a class act.For those in the market for an agent, Soomin is *the* guy to use in Austin. Though he is extraordinarily popular, he makes the time to text, call, email, and fight the hard fights that are needed in a competitive market. Should I ever need another agent, he would be the first person on my list.

TLDR: Count on Soomin to get you to the finish line!Soomin was our buyer’s agent. He is patient, a good counsel, and responsive.This wasn’t our first home purchase in a competitive market so we didn’t think we needed much help. BUT we were new to Austin and heh, new to buying in Texas. Sufficed to say, Soomin was a great resource: filling us in on processes, terminology, and market norms.It’s not unexpected to get at least a few offers rejected when buying in Austin these days. But Soomin doesn’t take “no” as a finality. When the seller rejected our offer for a home in 78745, Soomin kept the communication lines open and worked on the seller. So days later when another buyer didn’t work out, Soomin had us go back in with the previously rejected offer and got it accepted.By the way, we offered UNDER the asking price. With an appraisal contingency. On new construction home. In April 2022.Finally, Soomin is hands on with inspection and final walk-thrus. He has a sharp eye, and knows exactly what to check to get a comprehensive punch list prepared. Post-closing, Soomin checks in on us. Good agent, and a cool human being.

In January of this year, we contacted Soomin after watching his videos. We were in Austin for a week and Soomin directed us to look at areas and houses. We liked an area, but did not find a house. After we returned to Portland, Soomin found just the right house in the right area that we were looking for. He helped us through the process of buying the house and we were able to do it all remotely from Portland. Since we were not in Austin, Soomin regularly sent us videos and pictures of the progress of the house. Soomin is very reliable, professional, and pleasant to work with and we are very happy with the process of getting our new house.
