She walked us through every single page of those daunting contracts and amendments, making sure we got the gist of it all. I had the pleasure of working with Monique to find my first home. I cannot recommend Monique enough. Throughout the entire process that spanned over 6 months, Monique provided unparalleled attention to me. She was very meticulous with details and numbers, and brought up many points to my attention that I overlooked. From the start, she took the initiative to help me determine the location to start my home search based on where I worked, my lifestyle, and my budget with the help of mortgage calculators. She took the time to personally take me around the city to visit houses that I was interested in. I went back and forth between several listings for a while, but she was always patient and worked through my thought process with me. After I chose a house, she helped me get pre-approved quickly and provided tips on how to choose a lender. There were many new terms that I was unfamiliar with, but Monique explained them all in a way that was easy to understand. She helped discuss buying down points and even calculated a break-even point for me. Once the closing disclosure came through, she explained every single component on that document for me. Further down the process closer to closing, she provided several recommended inspectors and even gathered the quotes for me. After I chose the inspector, she personally attended the home inspection from start to finish with the inspector. She even personally attended the blue tape, final walk through, and accompanied me on the actual closing day. Again, throughout the whole process, she offered many useful tips, such as what not to do before closing, when to set up utilities, applying for homestead exemption, and how to coordinate with the HOA among many other things. She gathered information into easy-to-read documents that were shared with me and other applicable parties. She held her ground when needed and was good with following up on issues with the builder, etc. for me.Overall, my first home buying experience was delightful and it was largely due to the extensive work put in from Monique. I am very happy with my new home and believe the whole process went smoothly from start to finish.
