If you are looking for a realtor who truly cares about their clients, then Matt is your guy. We were lucky enough to not only have him as our neighbor in Old Lake Highlands but also as our friend and partner in selling our home. In a slow market AND in the middle of the holiday season, Matt got the job done! He took the time to strategize ways to sell our home instead of taking a sit and wait approach, which we truly appreciated. The best realtor I’ve ever used. The man went above and beyond the call of duty marketing our home, following up on leads, helping us with improvements to its presentation without being pushy. His negotiation skills with the buyer, when we got an offer, were highly effective—he’s savvy and it’s obvious he’s very experienced at it. He’s also personable and friendly and approachable. I’ve told many friends and family members over the last few months that Matt is the best real estate agent ever, but that’s an understatement. As a first-time homebuyer in a very unusual housing market (historically low inventory paired with quickly rising interest rates), I had a million questions about the housing search and home-buying process and Matt answered all of them patiently and knowledgeably. Matt also showed me over 100 listings in person before I found the house that was perfect for me (not exaggerating—we saw 10 houses the first day and I searched for over 3 months before finding the house I wanted). When I finally went under contract on a house, Matt helped me get the inspection done and went with me to meet the neighbors so I could get a feel for the neighborhood and learn things that might not have been in the listing.After I closed on the house (so after he’d already earned every penny of his commission), Matt spent 1 Sunday helping me clear out the overgrown yard and then came back the next week to help me move all of the brush to the bulk trash/yard waste pickup spot (1/10th of a mile down an alley). And I know this wasn’t just special treatment for me—Matt also spent several months helping some other clients of his prepare their house to sell.If you’re looking for an agent who is knowledgeable about the DFW housing market, has built up professional relationships with other agents over the years, has an eye for when a house has good bones and what is or isn’t easy to remodel, and most importantly, is a genuinely good person, Matt is the agent for you.
