Dana, Joe and the quality of product from Monticello are great. We purchased a new build home and were beyond happy with the product. Yes, it takes a little bit of time for answers in regards to the design center and appointments currently due to COVID restrictions and reduced occupancy indoors- this is not on the builder but just a by-product of the current situation. Dana, Tammy and Joe were always quick to respond to any questions that we had throughout the process. Some have stated that they had load bearing walls where they didnt expect it. We opted for a flat lot, knowing we would not have any but if we had chosen a lot on a slope, we understood and read the details that we signed that they could be there. We believed in due diligence and responsibility on our part to ensure that the product that we received and purchase is of the quality and standards that we expected, so we hired a 3rd party inspector for a 3 phase inspection. The items that they came up with were small but ones that we were happy to know about and be able to have corrected prior to the next build phase. Joe was on top of each inspection report and had the items corrected and was able to show us proof of corrections prior to moving forward. Beyond this, the quality from Monticello is above and beyond compared to others in the same location and price point. While yes, our kitchen cabinets dont have soft close hinges or dove tails, but that is an easy upgrade later. What we do have is a high quality built house that is energy efficient and structurally sound with Zip System sheathing . Our inspector kept making comments that he hasnt seen a new build production home built to such high standards in all of his years of business and that structurally our house is more in line with the higher end custom homes that he sees at 2-3x the cost. I will take structural integrity any day over fancier kitchen drawers.
