    Working with Lisa and Kris was wonderful. They really listened to our input and worked with me during the design process to get the exact outcome we wanted. Our laundry/butler’s pantry/home office was a tall order and they completed it perfectly.

But the bonus is that not only do Lisa and Kris hire the best subs, not only are they professional, and knowledgeable, and not only will they tell you when something wont work, theyll also figure out creative solutions that are actually better than the original plan. And when theyre done, theyll stay in touch to make sure youre delighted with the final product.Lisa knows all the ins and outs of regulations and inspections. She knows where to find the best deal or the best quality. She plans way ahead, but stays on top of the day-to-day. Kris can build just about anything, but he knows enough to know when to bring in someone who might be better or faster on a certain project. His tile work is prize winning. Needless to say, we recommend these folks.

    I highly recommend Dwell Best construction for a home remodel. We had a great experience working with Lisa and Kris on our garage remodel. Lisa helped to explain to process and select all of the needed items from air conditioner and windows to light fixtures and molding. Kris was a thorough craftsman, working with the crew to create custom solutions every step of the way. The outcome was high quality construction and trustworthy contracting. We couldnt be happier with our home.

    I highly recommend Kris and Lisa at Dwell Best Construction! They were amazing to work with from beginning to end, they were on top of everything. Kris’s work is impeccable, and Lisa was super communicative throughout the process on status, budgets, and the timeline. This was the least anxiety I’ve ever had during a renovation because I knew what was going on and the work consistently looked superb (I didn’t know how exciting drywall could be). Lisa was very open with all their costs and updated me weekly with the budget status. I actually looked forward to these emails and I have raved to everyone in my life about her budget spreadsheets. All the Dwell employees and subcontractors were also wonderful to work with and reflected Kris’s attention to detail. The space was kept clean and organized at the end of every day which just added to my feeling of relief and trust during the project. But above all the room turned out looking incredible. It was great working with them and I definitely plan to hire them again in the future!

I work in construction also, and I know first hand how many little decisions make a big difference in the quality of the final product. Kris and Lisa handle the project from start to finish personally and execute tons of thoughtful details along the way. If the overall quality and look of your project is important to you, you should use Dwell Best. Also, if you care about an organized and tidy work site, you should use Dwell Best. If you need to stay on budget and on time, you should use Dwell Best. Do not, not use Dwell Best for your new home, remodel or addition!

    Dwell Best turned our dreams into reality. They were easy to communicate with and very reliable, professional and responsive. They were quick to fix any issues and never left us hanging. In short, the team got the job done, did it beautifully and kept us on budget. Would definitely recommend to any one thinking of doing a renovation. Lisa is an excellent, organized, no nonsense manager and Kris’s tile work is absolutely stunning. Their team works with quality professionals and managed to keep everything on schedule despite ongoing supply chain issues and labor shortages. Magic!

    Kris has an incredible eye for detail and brought that focus and dedication to our porch renovation as if it was his own. Pretty much transformed the backside of our house by doubling the size of the existing deck and we couldn’t be happier. Kris and Lisa were extremely thorough in scoping the job and communicating progress and updates as we went along, and always offered a number of options for each creative, material or aesthetic choice along the way. Solid work, very happy with the outcome.

    Dwell Best Construction took over the reins of a half-finished kitchen renovation from a non-responsive contractor whose work quality and standards were sadly deficient. They were quick to fix all of the problems that had been left, and provided expert and nuanced advice about what it would take to complete the project. Since I was out of state for the first stage of the project I trusted them to bring it in on-time and to-budget - and they delivered. Because of their work, I’ve been told the new kitchen should be featured in Architectural Digest. I was so satisfied with the final outcome that I subsequently retained Dwell Best to undertake a full house renovation on an old house that was very much in need of some TLC. This entailed the creation of a brand new master bathroom suite, the addition of a powder room, the full renovation of original floorboards and done foundations, re-prepping and painting the walls throughout, expert floor and wall tiling in six different locations, a structural analysis and the replacement of termite-damage, the removal of an internal wall, the addition of new shelves and doors, and detailing throughout. Given the nature of the house there were many idiosyncrasies - this was not a straightforward project - but Dwell tackled them with aplomb and fixed all the existing problems. Once again, they brought this project in on-time and to budget. Perhaps the most important thing is that they were immediately responsive to my enquiries, gave fantastic advice, supervised the project closely and used professional competent people whenever needed. Had it not been for some COVID-related supply chain delay issues, they might even have completed the project early. I am 100% satisfied with these guys and would hire them again. As an dded bonus, Kris & Lisa are really nice people to work with!

    This is the 6th remodel/build Ive had done over the years and Kris is, hands down, the best. He was responsive, professional and very clear with expectation setting. He has an incredibly keen attention to detail as well. Our tile has intricate patterns and the way he managed to manipulate them around edges and ledges is stunning. He also gave valuable guidance regarding some of the finishing touches. It really took the overall look from good to great!

    What an incredible duo. Lisa and Kris were a pleasure to work with. Kris showed up with positive energy and was dedicated to getting the job done. Every detail was already thought out and Kris was so efficient with getting the job done. Afterwards, the space that Kris was working in was cleaner then when he arrived. Great people and quality work.

    Kris did the tile in our bathrooms. We are very happy with the result. He was incredibly detail-oriented. He consulted with us whenever there was any ambiguity and the end-result looks stunning. His workspace was kept clean throughout and he was incredibly communicative. You wont be disappointed.

    Dwell Best did great work converting our garage into a guest room. They were very communicative and easy to work with, they finished the project early (!) and within the projected budget, and the work is very high quality. I would highly recommend them.
