    I love it here!Once a month, the office crew plans events and they are the best! For Valentines day they organized a build-your-bouquet and gave a delicious marry me chicken with mashed potatoes. It was great to connect with other neighbors and the office crew are always nice and welcoming.I also love the location! Right across the apartment is the white rock lake and going on walks is amazing with the view

    Ive lived at Winsted at White Rock Apartments for 20 years, and I wouldnā€™t want to live anywhere else! The location is unbeatableā€”just minutes from White Rock Lake, perfect for bike rides, walks, and enjoying nature. The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens are close by, adding to the beauty of the neighborhood.What truly makes Winsted special is the community. The neighbors here are fantastic, and the apartment staff is exceptionalā€”always friendly, professional, and quick to help when needed. The property is well-maintained, quiet, and feels like home.If youre looking for a place with great amenities, a welcoming atmosphere, and an amazing location, Winsted at White Rock is the perfect choice. I couldnā€™t imagine living anywhere else!

    I just wanted to take a moment to rave about the most recent event hosted here at Winsted. It was absolutely fantastic! The staff went above and beyond to create a fun, welcoming atmosphere, and it was such a great way to meet new neighbors and get to know everyone a little better.From the activities to the food, everything was top-notch! The event really made me appreciate being a part of this community even more. I love how the complex takes the time to organize these kinds of gatherings, and Iā€™m definitely looking forward to more in the future. Itā€™s clear that they really care about creating a sense of community, and itā€™s one of the reasons I love living here!Looking forward to the next one ā€“ keep them coming, please!

    I love this place. Iā€™ve been here almost three years and the staff, location, and the apartment set up are right up my alley. One if the things I didnā€™t thinkWould be a thing I would be writing about is the monthly parties. They go all out and I really have a great time and get to meet people I live with. Iā€™m a homebody mostly but these events just highlight the staffs enthusiasm and ability to come upWith great concepts. I love this places and the easy living I have during to the promptness and extra care given by the staff here. I canā€™t thank yall enough. I canā€™t wait to see what the office party will be in March!!! Again thank you!!!

    Customer service off the charts. I noticed the office is very busy during working hours but did notice the staff will usually reach out by email to follow up extensively.Property undergoing exterior and cosmetic renovations.Overall clean property and safe. It is well-maintained for an established property. Read your rules. If you dont live there, dont park there, or YOU WILL BE TOWED.IF YOU LIVE THERE->REMEMBER TO REGISTER ALL CARS AT ALL TIMES INCLUDING YOUR GUESTS ...OR YOU WILL BE TOWED.GATED enhances and security on site around the clock.GREAT location to downtown, uptown and major highways and events.

    Office staff is great! It is always a great experience when you stop by. Maintenance always has a fast turnaround time and gets the job done, Angel manages the team so well. Definitely recommend this place!! :)

    I couldnā€™t be happier with my experience at this apartment complex! The new management team is top-notchā€”efficient, professional, and laser-focused on addressing any issues that come up. They genuinely care about the residents and it shows. A special shout-out to Angel, who handles maintenance. He is incredibly fast, knowledgeable, and always courteous. Every request Ive made has been addressed promptly and with a level of expertise thatā€™s hard to come by. I feel very fortunate to live here and would highly recommend this community to anyone looking for a well-managed, comfortable place to call home!

    Just toured with the leasing agent Grace who was fantastic. She was so kind and immediately made be feel welcome and comfortable. Grace was extremely knowledgeable about the building and surrounding areas. The building was clean and well kept with spacious floor plans and a great price point. Though I didnā€™t lease I will absolutely recommend to friends and family.

    Moving out of state is already stressful, however Grace and the leasing department made this transition so smooth with getting my application in quickly, sending me link to the correct place to apply for certain components. Overall I am LOVING living in this area! It is BEAUTIFUL to say the least!

    I am so thankful I found these apts 2 years ago. Ive never had an office staff go above and beyond for me like Winsted, especially Grace at the front. They are accommodating and any problem I have they are quick to solve it for me. Maintenance is quick and super friendly. My apt is beautiful and perfect for me and my fur baby. So thankful I found this place!

    My husband and I just moved in and OMG we are in love with this property. The management team was so accommodating, welcoming and just an overall joy to work with. The property is well maintained, walking distance to White Rock Lake, and so many great shopping stores and food options around. We are so grateful we found this property.

    *Updated latest Nov 2023*Ive been a tenant since 2021, but theres a negative trend as of late, or perhaps Im just now noticing it. Its not all bad but more bad than good at the moment.Pros- location is near White Rock Lake, Tom Thumb, YMCA, Botanical Garden, & restaurants. Not too close to downtown Dallas but close enough to visit when needed.Parking - depending on which Bldg you live in there is covered, gated parking with overhead cover.Amenities- they have an on-site gym with everything you need (especially helpful for how hot its been lately), business center, & and pool, which is convenient.Cost - price is fair what what I needed, at least.Safety - generally feel safe walking around all parts of the day. Residents who Ive come across are all polite.Customer service - Grace (front office) is the saving grace of this complex. Easy to work with and responsive. They could use help with organization as they seem overwhelmed and unresponsive.*continues to improve. Actually owed some money I had double paid and they found it to correct. Also worked a credit I was owed due to a referral. Hard to complain when they are making sure theyre doing the right thing.Cons - Lets start with most recent incidents and work backward.Work order resolution - only when it suits them. Changed Apts within last month and have 3 work orders submitted (kitchen sink doesnt drain on 1 side, oven light+exhaust doesnt work), and theyve been closed TWICE without bothering to fix them. How does that happen? Resubmitted for a 3rd time in 4 weeks, which hopefully is a charm.**huge improvement in the response and closure of work orders since original review!**Funny part about it is when I notified the head office of a major water leak spraying 100s of gallons water/min up into the 2nd level of the parking garage every morning when I went to work....that was addressed within a day.Water damage occurances seem to be frequent. Im unsure if its the age of the facility/ infrastructure, but I know of at least 3 apartments that flooded somehow. One right below me where they cut holes in my wall and installed dehumidifiers for a week....and then left the holes for more than a week and counting.Security- theres been an upgrade to the security gates recently installed which I dont blame them for how long its been taking but the apartments chose to permit the gates to be unsecured and for months on end. So much so that its become a regular occurrence for residents to stop asking questions.You likely have seen the reviews, but its not coincidentally that a firearm shooting occurred recently within the complex.Not to mention the litany of stolen packages. Theres no security or accountability. If your not AT your door when the package gets dropped off....good luck.Also, I was a victim of car theft while my car was parked in the gated parking garage on the 2nd floor. Likely residents and lucky I didnt catch them myself. Theres one camera upon entering the garage and absolutely nothing the complex did to resolve, research, or reinforce this vulnerability. I know Im not the only person who was robbed. Only bright side is they only took cash/valuables instead of the vehicle itself.Unwanted amenities- valet trash. Its a mandatory $25 that you cannot opt out of thats not included in your rent or mentioned until after you have begun to settle in your lease.If youve got thick skin and can stomach all that, Id recommend it. If not, good luck with your search. Again, its not all bad.

    I just moved in a few days ago and the process was painless thanks to Raj, the leasing agent. He went above and beyond to make sure everything we needed was in order and that our move would be a breeze. Hes attentive, efficient , and I can tell he really cares about me as a resident. Hes a wonderful addition to the community. The grounds of the community are well kept, quiet, and beautiful. My unit was clean upon move in and had no issues. So far the Winsted has been wonderful and being right next to White Rock Lake is a huge plus!

    Move out update: met more neighbors. Theyā€™re great.Loved the amenities. The apartment is in great shape. Maintenance was kind and did well. Donā€™t take a west facing top floor and if you do, install black out or rubber backed curtains. The electric bill in the summer is catastrophic because the AC unit struggles to even keep you at 80Ā° when you get direct sunlight from 3pm-7pm we wouldā€™ve stayed had we been offered a decent price when asking to change units. Sad to go.At move in: So far so good!Weve been here for about four months now and it just feels like home. Moving in the middle of a pandemic was strange but the office made it as smooth as it could be. After the experience at our last apartment this was a breath of fresh air.This has been the best apartment experience Ive had in a long time. Friendly accommodating people in the office. Great neighbors (though with the pandemic we havent met many) great apartment! No mold! Thank you and keep up the great work!

    UPDATE: Just renewed my lease for a year! Iā€™m so happy with the Winsted Team and them truly making Winsted feel like home. Claudia and Grace have been so nice and helpful and maintenance is super polite and gets the job done quickly.Im moving into Winsted soon and Im really excited! So far, all of the leasing staff have been super nice and helpful. Claudia has been the main person whos been helping me and she is amazing! The Manager seems to be on top of everything with making sure the gates are working, the complex is clean, and residents are happy. The complex looks great from the outside and even though my unit isnt fully updated, there are lots of other units that have beautiful open kitchens with white or grey cabinets and granite countertops. A huge plus is that its walking distance from White Rock Lake! Lots of positives so far!

    I have been at the Winsted at White Rock for a year now, and just resigned my lease. Im not going to lie, the management company that was here when I first signed, was absolutely terrible. But, after a couple of months, they hired a new management company and all new agents (that actually know what they are doing).If you ever need any help with anything, they will do everything they can to assist their residents. My favorite agent to work with is definitely, Raj! He is the absolute best leasing agent they have, and is extremely friendly. Which makes dealing with any issues/concerns wayy less of a hassle.The maintenance workers (Ricky N. is great!!) are also a major part of why the Winsted is such an amazing place to live. You can easily make maintenance requests online, and they respond very quickly. I have never had to wait more than a few days for a request to be completed.If you like to be outside, there are lovely Magnolia trees everywhere on the property, and the management company makes sure that the landscaping is always on point! The property is stunning and is never lacking in flowers!

    This is all incredible place! Its right across from the Lake and its secure, clean and quiet. Also, its close to Lakewood, but away from the bustle of Garland Rd. However, as anyone whos every lived in an apartment complex knows, the staff can make or break a great location and the front office staff are fantastic!! Raj was so professional, personable and just all around awesome! The manager was also so nice and helpful. I havent utilized the maintenance staff, but they were very friendly when they were in the office and I hear they are great! Im so happy that I found this place and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place near White Rock.

    Havent lived here in a while but my recent apartment experiences made me realize that the guys deserve one.Awesome apartment. Beautiful unit. Lovely grounds. Clean and quite.If it was near where my new job was Id still live here for sure.Definitely check it out if its in your area.

    Quiet, comfortable, and very convenient location. I lived here from 2012 - 2017. My husband joined me and likewise enjoyed our rental time here. Parking was rarely an issue (we left around the time parking became reserved which we noticed the paid spots were consistently empty and caused people to cram for the free spots). Mainentece staff was SUPERIOR - without them I donā€™t know what I would have done. Thank you Ricky and Mario for everything!! Management was easy to work with when we had questions or concerns. The living space itself was small (as we had one of the smaller units) but it was still comfortable. The gates provided an extra feeling of security, even though sometimes they did break or people left them open (at which point they were fixed if you reported them or just shut the gate whenever you saw it open). The complex was attractive and had great access to both White Rock Lake and the growing area on Gaston. Truly enjoyed my time spent at the Winsted!

    My fiancĆ©e and I moved out earlier in the year, and we miss it here! It wasnā€™t perfect by any means, but it was perfect for us. The location was great, and when we did have to deal with management, it was always pleasant. I would call this place home again if ever given the opportunity.

    We have lived on this property for 3 years and just renewed our lease again. It is a great place to live. Very community and friendly. Being by the lake is nice for bike riding and walking dogs. This property is very dog friendly. The management is great and are always willing to help in any way they can. Eddie the manager goes above and beyond to try to meet whatever the need may be. I highly recommend our community.:)

    The Winsted apartments at White Rock Lake are a great place for young active singles and couples who want to live close to the lake . It has been remodeled in the last few years so it is not only convenient the apartments are stylish and updated with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and hardwood floors. There is an entrance on Winsted Road and one on Gaston which makes it more accessible. The entire complex is fenced with gated access, which offers an additional level of safety. It is a dog friendly place to live. Of course it offers Community amenities such as a community patio with barbecue and a pool and a lovely Garden . And a walk across Winstead Road gives you access to White Rock Lake Park and the hiking and biking trails.

    Fortitude in the face of the February 2021, Winter Storm.The maintenance crew at the Winstead at White Rock, performed their duties, with skill,knowledge and above all sheer determination and dedication to the residents and this property, despite the Extreme Cold Weather Emergency that, we endured from Saturday February 13th thru Friday the 19th 2021.Each maintenance crew member worked hard in the elements of the icy cold with an undying desire to repair the leaks,flooding and broken pipes. They went above and beyond the call of duty. The crew kept us updated, while on site.They worked day and night and stayed on the property working everyday thru the winter storm. Ricky,Francisco, Fernando and the other young maintenance man did an awesome job.I want to highlight that Ricky who has been the maintenance supervisor here on this property for the 7 years I have lived here displayed outstanding leadership, skill, knowledge and determination. If it wouldnt have been for Rickys leadership, this property would have been in much more serious peril.Rickys initiative and work ethic was the game changer here on the Winstead at White Rocks property, in the face of a deadly Winter Storm.Ernest Martinez (Resident)
