My Fiance and I lived at West Koenig for two years. From the moment we toured to the moment we moved out the staff were incredible. Emily Faulkner was the deciding factor for us moving in and one of the biggest reasons we were sad to leave. The rest of the staff was equally welcoming and always ready to help however possible. When the freeze hit Texas, they took care of the community better than any complex Ive ever lived in. If youre considering moving in, do it--the community alone made leaving a hard decision. As for the apartments themselves: the rooms are huge, the bathrooms are lovely, and the maintenance staff are incredibly responsive if and when any minor issues does arrise. Theres no better place to call home than West Koenig Flats. -

I will miss WKF and will always recommend it to friends looking for apartments! The staff is responsive and friendly, resident events are actually fun and allow you to get to know your neighbors, and I enjoy walking around the North Loop neighborhood. I had a few small noise issues with my neighbors but everyone has been very amenable and considerate of each other. My one suggestion: I think WKF could look into expanding their sustainability footprint by adding composting and making valet trash/the dumpster area a more visibly pleasant experience. They switched to smart thermostats right before I moved out, which is a great start for energy efficiency! -

We lived here from 2022-2024 and it was 2 years well spent.Emily from resident services is amazing and made our experience infinitely better. We chose West Koenig because of Emily’s tour and review and did not regret it :)1st floor apt opened out to the beautiful inner gardens. Nice kitchen with good appliances 2 full bathrooms, and the apt layout felt open and airy even if the actual sqft was 1k ishService from management was always prompt and empathic to whatever we had going on. Cost of the apt is steep but generally you get your moneys worth in service and quality.Pros- Beautiful apartment, consistently good management- Resident events and promos on a weekly basis- Good neighbors that generally minded their business- Garage parking- Dedicated and secure Mailroom for letters and such.- Nice amenities, perks and a package delivery service ‘fetch’ to ensure all your Amazon packages arrive safely and when you’re at home.Cons- Delivery can be hit or miss. Having to explain how to get inside the building and get to apt door or to not go into the gated part of the garage repeatedly is annoying.- Sound proofing, the neighbors can hear you if you go over a certain volume level and you can hear them.- Call signal/Internet depending on your carrier may be minimal based on your location within the building. Generally T-Mobile did ok in my apartment but AT&T did not. Dead-zones when going from apartment to mailroom or between floors sucked. -

I’ve been living here at West Koenig for almost a year now, and it’s been a wonderful experience. The apartments are clean and the amenities are great. The staff members are friendly, reliable, and very forthcoming with any new information. We even have monthly activities and events! If I run into any issues, the leasing office team (specifically Cornelius, Emily or Cherry) is ready to remedy that problem. This is the best apartment complex I’ve ever lived in and it’s not even a close race. -

I can’t say enough good things about living at West Koenig, especially thanks to Alex, our maintenance manager. When my disposal started leaking over the weekend, Alex didn’t hesitate to come out late at night to get it fixed. It’s rare to find a leasing and maintenance team so dedicated and willing to go the extra mile for residents. Their consistent quick response and attention to detail make a huge difference, and I’m grateful to have such a reliable team here at West Koenig! -

I love living here and highly recommend it to anyone. The amenities are incredible and well-maintained, the apartments are spacious and luxurious, and the staff are kind and caring. Never had an issue with sound, bugs, or safety and the building is proactive in keeping things maintained and addressing problems quickly and effectively.I have recommended this place to close friends and every guest who has visited me here has been floored with how nice the building and apartment is. You will not be disappointed. -

WKF is a very nice community. Management team is great and responsive. Place is clean, safe and quiet. My overall experience is great. Hope this place will remain great in the future. -
Review 8 (2024-05-19 - Rating: 5)
Easier five star rating to give. We got an apartment here a couple of months ago, and it has been a fantastic experience since. What brought us in was the low extra costs- amenity fee, trash, parking. It was the lowest we had seen everywhere we toured yet the place looked so nice! It was hard to believe. But here we are months later, and it really is that great. The staff here is amazing- they answer maintenance requests FAST, respond to emails fast, they are always in the office, and everyone is so genuinely kind and willing to help. The apartments themselves are beautiful, and we have never had any issues with bugs like some previous apartments here in Austin. I cant even begin to stress how great this place is! -
Review 9 (2024-07-28 - Rating: 5)
The positive reviews about the apartment staff, including Emily, Cherry, and Cornelius, arent an exaggeration. They are some of the kindest, caring, most dedicated and hard working apartment staff Ive ever come across. Theyre extremely proactive about addressing issues in the building, to the point where Ive hardly had any issues while living here - but if I did, I know they would genuinely care about it and work hard to fix it.My husband and I moved here from Canada. It was nerve wracking choosing an apartment without being able to see it in person first, but Im so thankful we found WKF. The apartments are beautiful and well maintained, the amenities such as the gym, pool, and BBQs are lovely, and weve made plenty of great friends in the building through the various events such as happy hours and game/craft nights. I truly feel like Im a part of a community. The location is also fantastic, walking distance to a lot of great places and just a short drive to downtown/UT campus. -
Review 10 (2024-05-06 - Rating: 5)
My wife and I have been here for just under a year and it has been a fantastic experience. The staff is super friendly, thrives on making living here a community experience and is very prompt on all service needs. I love saying hi to Emily and Cornelius whenever we walk by the office. The location is great and the amenities are also very good! The bus to downtown comes right in front of the garage for convenience. It is part of a beautiful neighborhood where you can walk around and enjoy the sounds of wildlife such as birds. Walk over to your staple pizza place “Home Slice”. I would recommend this place to anyone in Austin! -
Review 11 (2021-02-18 - Rating: 5)
EDIT 2/18/2021:I CANNOT say enough good things about living at WKF. As I previously stated, I value the service provided by community managers almost as much as I value the quality of an apartment. During the Texas Snowpocalypse of 2021, Kelsey, Regina, and Alexia went above and beyond in keeping residents informed. I never once had to worry what was going on because they did everything in their power to ensure we knew as much as they did.Despite the stressful times, which included our community losing power and water, I cant be more grateful for the care shown by Kelsey and team. When so many of my friends are expressing their frustration at the lack of response from their communities, knowing the staff at WKF had my back provided so much relief.Thank you Kelsey and Derek for personally checking in on the units of those who had left town. Thank you team in general for treating us like family.-----In the short time that Ive lived here, the staff at WKF continue to amaze me. While there are unforeseen circumstances no matter where you live, Ive found that the staff here handles them better than any of my previous luxury apartments. One example is a string of vandalized doors that keep arising. Theres only so much they can do to prevent it from happening, but Ive been very pleased with their responses to residents frustration. Were updated on security measures that theyre seeking and, understandably, delays that occur because #pandemic. No place is perfect, and sometimes issues that come up do require some residence vigilance so the staff are informed. They show that they truly care for the residents experience, strive to keep residents involved and informed, and address everyones concerns to the best of their abilities.Kelsey and Alexia have known my name since the day I signed my application, and Im not exaggerating when I say that theyre the friendliest apartment office managers Ive ever had the pleasure of meeting. You would think its a pretty low bar, but Ive surprisingly had horrible experiences with previous apartments. I always feel bad for bothering them with my questions, but theyre seriously the best!Maintenance is always handled in a timely, efficient manner, and there hasnt been a single concern that Ive risen that wasnt met with attention and resolution. The apartments themselves truly look and feel like high quality units, and Ive found that the common areas have always been well maintained and clean. As with many apartments, hardwood floor means you occasionally hear the upstairs neighbors footsteps, you sometimes catch a hallway conversation or barking dog, but it hasnt been nearly as unbearable as my previous apartments.Everything Ive mentioned are high priority for me when deciding on a place to live, and Im happy to say that my experiences here have been delightful. -

I have lived here for 2 years and just signed for another year. It’s a great location! Emily is wonderful, friendly and helpful. I love it here. -
Review 13 (2024-06-23 - Rating: 5)
I moved out several weeks ago after having lived here for 4 and a half years. I really enjoyed my time here and was sad to leave. I would recommend living here to anyone. The rent was reasonably priced for Austin and the units/style were decent value when you compare with other properties. No hidden amenity fees and the pool and grounds were always kept immaculate. Only thing I really didnt like was the introduction of Fetch package delivery service for a small monthly fee and I wish greystar/apt complexes would scrap working with this company so it never catches on (see 1/5 stars on better business bureau website and what people are saying about it there). The neighborhood is pretty nice and residential and theres walkable stuff in north loop like bars, coffee shops etc. Maintenance was always very fast and took care of everything without issue. Staff in general were great and felt like they went the extra mile, not least Emily and Cornelius. I made every effort to leave the apartment in good shape when I moved out and was pleasantly surprised that WKF honored what I thought was a very fair deposit return. All in all, I highly recommend this place! -
Review 14 (2024-10-20 - Rating: 5)
I absolutely love living at West Koenig Flats! The maintenance team is super responsive whenever I have a request, which is awesome. The atmosphere is really peaceful, and I’ve met some amazing neighbors who are all so friendly. -
Review 15 (2017-09-13 - Rating: 5)
The apartments are great! You get a lot for your money: pool, gym, nice lounge, BBQ pits, a second, garden courtyard, protected parking, etc. And the apartments themselves are nearly brand-new. The amenities are great, the staff (especially since the turnover in January 2017) are wonderful, and the location is nice. I was teaching at UT last year and had an easy commute. Id recommend this place, hands-down. -
Review 16 (2023-09-01 - Rating: 5)
My roommates and I have lived here for a month, and it has been amazing. Shout out to Emily! She has been nothing but lovely to the residents. The maintenance crew are fast to respond to requests, the front desk staff are super accommodating, and the entire experience here has been really smooth. I highly recommend West Koenig Flats as a home to live in. The location is very central, and there are a large variety of great restaurants just a couple minutes drive away. -
Review 17 (2024-03-09 - Rating: 5)
Lived here for over a year. The staff is very friendly. Location is great 10 minute drive from 6th street, 15 min drive from Domain, and walking distance from various bars and restaurants. The best thing about Koenig Flats was the community. Very friendly and open community. Management hosts some event almost every week where you will get the opportunity to mingle with your neighbors. -
Review 18 (2023-12-09 - Rating: 5)
Moving from a long distance, Im very lucky to have found WKF on the first go. I think the location and neighborhood community is unbeatable. Everyone working here from management to maintenance makes the most friendly, helpful, and outstanding team I have ever witnessed as a renter. Any issue Ive had (very few) has been responded to within a day! The leasing office snacks and events are an extra bonus routinely. 5 stars for the people that make this the best apartment home Ive had!Two tips though: Just like with any other apartment complex built in the last decade or so, like me if youre very sensitive to noise go for a top-floor apartment. Also, the building uses Fetch, an unreliable third-party package service. You can opt to not use them but I wish we werent forced to pay them a monthly fee. -
Review 19 (2023-03-22 - Rating: 5)
Living at West Koenig Flats has been phenomenal! When I first moved in, the leasing staff constantly kept in touch, addressed all my questions, and made the moving process seamless. After living here for a while, I’ve noticed that the team treats you like family. Cornelius has always been helpful at addressing issues and I always see him go above and beyond at making sure people are happy here. Emily is phenomenal! She always has a smile on her face, takes the time to get to know people, and I think she knows almost every resident’s name by heart. My brief interactions with Amanda have also been great. The team also cares about addressing resident concerns. I’ve lived at places where you complain about an issue but it usually gets brushed off. Here, they will actually spend the time and money to make things better!Lastly, the location is perfect. Close to I-35 and Lamar, plenty of food options, and only 10 mins to downtown. They also do a great job at planning community events. I couldn’t have asked for a better living experience! -
Review 20 (2023-12-06 - Rating: 5)
We love living here! The location is awesome, the building is in great condition, and the staff is absolutely amazing. Emily, Anthony, Amanda, and everyone else are all super friendly and responsive if we ever have any needs/questions. And at least once a month there’s breakfast tacos or donuts or pastries in the front office, which is always a huge hit! -
Review 21 (2022-11-07 - Rating: 5)
West Koenig Flats is the place to be. Emily makes the experience special for every newcomer and longtime resident alike. There is no face, background story or dog that she does not know. Having lived in 8 apartment complexes in 8 years in Austin, I can confidently say that a leasing experience with West Koenig Flats would top any others. Cornelius has been an excellent addition to the team. He is respectful and responsive. The clean, well-kept property and personal connections with every resident are a reflection of the high standards he holds. I tell everyone I know about this place. Keep up the great work. -
Review 22 (2022-11-09 - Rating: 5)
I am so grateful I live at West Koenig Flats. I moved from NYC about six months ago and had such a great experience on my tour with Emily I applied almost on the spot over other luxury facilities nearby. It is very well maintained by Jack who supervises wonderful facilities with Deondre - a zen garden to chill and read, a pool with outdoor grills and lounge chairs, a gorgeous resident club room, fitness center with a good variety to meet needs. Of course, I love that the apartments are well designed with new amenities and features. Such an upgrade from NYC.They really care about safety here. Making sure we have state of the art key access system, fire safety checks, a good package delivery service to prevent theft. The location is fantastic, close to UT, downtown, and south Lamar. If you want great shopping it’s 15 minutes away. North Loop/North Hyde Park is cool and charming. The leasing and community staff are really the heart of what makes it great. Emily in leasing makes sure you feel welcome and included. Cornelius is there for every resident, answering questions, managing requests promptly. Amanda puts together great events so we can all meet each other and foster community. It is great to be included. -
Review 23 (2021-10-28 - Rating: 5)
I have lived here one year, and this complex has the best management team of anywhere I have ever lived! Kelsey and Lexi are friendly, they take the time to get to know their residents (and their dogs), and they really take pride in their jobs and the apartments. Numerous times I have seen both Kelsey and Lexi doing extra work around the apartments to keep them looking nice. They also have great communication skills. We receive emails about changes, updates, etc so we are always in the know. This team made the stressful situation of the the winter storm be not nearly as bad by having constant communication with everyone to let us know the status of water and power. The whole team got together once the storm started clearing to help clear snow and ice and help in any way they could. They are also always planning great activities for the residents with several different things planned every month! We also love our apartment. We are not facing the sun, yet we get a ton of light. The set up of the kitchen and living room in our model (A10) makes the apartment feel huge and so bright with the entire wall of windows. The bathroom also feels very large (especially compared to a lot of apartments). For an apartment that faces the courtyard with the pool, it is also surprisingly quiet. The location is also extremely convenient. I work downtown and it only takes me ten minutes to get to my office. There are also a ton of great restaurants around here (some within walking distance!)I definitely recommend checking out and living at West Koenig Flats! -
Review 24 (2021-09-27 - Rating: 5)
My last experience with an apartment complex and management in Austin was horrendous especially after the winter storm. I knew when searching for my next place, I wanted to make sure that the management was helpful and responsive. I did a lot of research, read reviews, talked to residents about West Koenig Flats before touring. I found nothing but fantastic reviews and feedback about the property and the team there. When I finally came to tour Alexia was incredibly helpful. She made the touring and leasing process smooth and painless! I knew I found the right community this time.Since moving in, Kelsey and Lexi have been amazing. They are friendly, super helpful and responsive. When I feel like I have a million questions, they are patient with me. Any issues that come up are dealt with promptly. They truly care about the residents at WKF.I couldnt be happier to have found this community and Im grateful to have such a wonderful team looking after all of us! -
Review 25 (2023-06-28 - Rating: 5)
These 5 stars are not for the apartment or the location but for the management at WKF. I unfortunately have to move out of this building because of some personal reasons but I could have easily stayed here for years. The staff is so kind, responsive to issues and just an email or a phone call away. One thing that really stood out for me was the fact that they provided us with hot food when we were going through the winter storm. Emily and Amanda are one of the best people I have come across, you will know once you meet them. The apartments are well maintained, location is amazing and the staff is great. All checks out. Go for it! -
Review 26 (2021-12-23 - Rating: 5)
Talk to any of my friends and theyll tell you how much I rave about my new apartment at West Koenig Flats. Living here makes me so happy! Hands down the best apartment complex Ive lived in. The location is great and in walking distance to bars, restaurants, food trucks, and vintage shops on North Loop as well as easy access to i35. The office always has a stocked mini fridge and snacks filled with resident favorites. I have had the best experience working with Emily! She is so positive, thoughtful, and always take the extra step to make sure that both current and future residents are attended to and satisfied. -
Review 27 (2023-04-21 - Rating: 5)
I’ve lived in many apartment complexes. Some good, and some horrible. But WKF stands alone at the top of the mountain. My girlfriend and I have been here for a few months now. Since our move in, I have been constantly impressed by the hospitality, care and diligence that the staff shows. The attention to the resident is above and beyond any other place I’ve stayed. From Emily’s welcoming spirit, Cornelius’ management skills, Amanda’s quick and helpful responses, all the way to Jack and his efficient maintenance crew, I can’t say enough how much I recommend living here. -
Review 28 (2023-06-05 - Rating: 5)
Wonderful place, wonderful people, I love the pool and the garden area. Great neighborhood to walk around in & soooo many yummy places are walkable and it’s so convenient going anywhere from here. They also love our furry animals (always so welcoming, with toys and treats in the lobby). So many of these wonderful people have gone out of their way to make living here a wonderful experience. They also have the most fun activities, they bring in some really good food & when everyone lost power during the storm they were so accommodating and wonderful. Truly cannot rate West Koenig Flats better. 11/10 place to live :) -
Review 29 (2021-01-20 - Rating: 5)
I wanted to wait a few months before writing my review since most places impress you in the beginning and then fall short of your expectations after you lived here a while. WKF building itself, neighbors, and staff have all EXCEEDED my expectations and I dont think I could have picked a better place to live. The moving in process was seamless and the maintenance staff is so quick. The apartment itself is beautiful and you would think it was brand new. The common spaces and gym are always well taken care of. The part I am most impressed with and appreciative for is the office staff, particularly Alexia. She has been so accommodating and responds quickly to any of my inquiries. Recently my cat escaped and Alexia sent out an alert to all of the residents to help me find him. These are just the little things that assure you that you live in a community of good people. It really goes to show you how much the attitude of office staff and their communication to residents can make or break your satisfaction living in an apartment building. West Koenig Flats has done wonderfully in these areas and they deserve all the 5 star ratings they have. :) -

I am so happy at West Koenig Flats! The apartment is beautiful, there are lots of great amenities, and the location is awesome. There are fun monthly events and I really feel like part of a community. Every staff member has been so kind and helpful, but I especially want to recognize the hospitality of Emily and Amanda. Thank you so much to everyone at WKF for making me feel at home. I highly recommend these apartments! -

We moved here in May. We really like it here. We’re close to everything. Our apartment is spacious. The office staff is friendly & very helpful. The community is a cute mix of young people who are also very friendly. We are really pleased with our apartment & the amenities, also the fun events each week the office has! I’d definitely recommend West Koenig Flats!!!! -
Review 32 (2021-10-26 - Rating: 5)
This is hands down best apartment I’ve ever lived at. A beautiful apartment complex with great amenities. Alexia and Kelsey are the best office staff anyone can ask for. They make paying rent feel better because they’re so thoughtful and always giving back through resident events. They’re always friendly and goin the extra mile to take care of everyone(even the dogs). Even the maintenance team has been better than anywhere I’ve lived as well. -
Review 33 (2022-06-23 - Rating: 5)
I recently moved to West Koenig Flats, and it has been amazing. After touring the apartment over a month ago, I instantly knew this was where I wanted to live. The friendliness of the leasing office staff (specifically Emily and Amanda), maintenance staff, and residents is unmatched. The complex is in a convenient location, easy to get anywhere in Austin, and is decorated beautifully. Very happy to live here! -

WKF has been amazing. The entire staff team, from front desk to maintenance, is excellent, friendly, prompt, and helpful. The parking garage is big and convenient, and the location is superb - close to North Loop with a plethora of coffee shops, restaurants, and bars. -
Review 35 (2020-12-18 - Rating: 5)
My wife and I have been living here for a year and a half. I have to say that this is a perfect living space. The most commendable is the team here, especially the manager Kelsey. All of my questions and needs have been received. She responded very positively and quickly. The maintenance team is also very professional. They are very friendly. Every time a problem occurs, it can be solved the same day or the next day, making us feel at ease. We often receive some small gifts; the environment here is also relatively quiet, we like it very much, their team has guaranteed our quality of life. -

I have nothing but great things to say about this place! I lived here with my boyfriend for a year and if we didnt relocate to be closer to his job, we would have resigned in heart beat!Management is friendly, efficient, and so very helpful. Kelsey, the apartments assistant manager is wonderful, I cannot brag on her enough.Maintenance is SO fast. I remember I only put in like 2 work orders the entire time I lived there and it was completed the same day.Very sad to be leaving but I know we can stop by anytime with our pup and feel so welcomed. -

My Sister lives at WKF. on 3rd floor. She says that this apartment complex is the best she has ever lived in Austin Tx. She and I have been here in Austin for years and she has lived there for at least six years, maybe more. She says that the staff are so accommodating and kind. I visit a lot and the staff have always been so kind and easy to communicate with. I would recommend this apt complex to anyone who wants to move there. Great Staff, Great Amenities, Convenient to anywhere in N Austin and very friendly staff. Lovely pool and community room. -
Review 38 (2022-07-27 - Rating: 5)
Have been working with Emily Faulkner during our apartment hunt and she has been absolutely wonderful. She really sold the community and its amenities to us and was so responsive and personable that we were tempted to live there just because of her. Combine that with the bus straight to the University, ample parking, friendly community members and easy access to food/coffee and it seems like you cannot go wrong with West Koenig. -
Review 39 (2021-12-23 - Rating: 5)
I have been living at WKF for over a year now, and I think it is the best-run property Ive lived at. Both management and maintenance are always responsive and friendly. When tenants voice concerns about security or cleanliness, they are addressed with long-term solutions. They host fun events every month for us, and its easy to chat-up the office staff while grabbing some of the free snacks and drinks they provide there for tenants. The location is fantastic for proximity to food, shopping, and I-35/290. The property is also very pet friendly!Any complaints I have are usually minor and about the building itself or behavior of other residents. For example, large trash items that dont fit in the chutes are often left in the parking garage by other residents, and can stay there a while. The walls and doors let a fair amount of sound through in both directions, and the bedroom closet for the A10 floor plan is really cramped. Overall I am very happy with my choice to move here. -
Review 40 (2020-12-28 - Rating: 5)
I have been living here for about 7 months now and have absolutely loved it! The community is very well taken care of and management does a fantastic job with keeping residents in the loop of projects happening around the property, updates, and resident events. My apartment looked great upon move in and maintenance is always quick to respond to any requests I may have. The location is also great making any commute around Austin pretty quick! -
Review 41 (2022-09-21 - Rating: 5)
I have very much enjoyed living here, and it has been by far my best living experience in Austin. Management is very responsive, and we have not had any issues. Neighbors are very friendly, and apartment units are spacious. Wouldve stayed much longer if I didnt have to move out of state. -
Review 42 (2021-09-07 - Rating: 5)
This was a challenging time of transition for me and I had a lot on my plate to deal with. One of the things I didnt want to deal with when selecting a place to call home was poor management. I actually found the exact opposite! Kelsey and Alexia have been outstanding in the way they keep this community running. They made settling in easy and stress free. When something came up, they addressed it immediately with professionalism on a level I hadnt experienced in the past. They have kept things light, friendly and on point in every aspect. Ive had a great experience with dealing with these ladies and the staff that represents WKF.I can never stress enough how important it is to have a good management team in an apartment community. I can honestly say that these ladies have nailed it when it comes to going above and beyond to make sure they stay on top of whatever comes their way! Great job ladies keep up the good work. You keep this up and Ill be signing another lease for sure!! -

WKF is a fabulous place to live! I can’t say enough good things about Alexia and Kelsey as well as the rest of the team; they are professional, friendly and always willing to help. North Loop is a cool neighborhood with food trucks, bars, pizza, coffee and a record shop all within a short distance. The apartment is very comfortable. I consider this my little sanctuary 👍🏽👍🏽 -
Review 44 (2019-11-15 - Rating: 5)
I was going to wait until I have been here for a month, but I’m already so impressed. Kelsey and Juan went above and beyond to get me into my new home, and really busted their butts. I owe them some yummy baked goods for how amazing they are!! I’ve already had maintenance requests and they are so responsive. All of the things I’ve needed have been taken care of same day - and an added bonus, the maintenance crew is so kind and fun to chat with (shout out to Joe). The facility is always clean in a homey feeling way, I absolutely love my view into the zen garden, and the residents I have met have been so friendly. The only down side is the thin walls, but I don’t mind keeping music, meditations, or white noise on at night so it really doesn’t ruin my experience at all. This is already my all time favorite spot I have lived in. -
Review 45 (2021-12-06 - Rating: 5)
Before moving to Austin I had done a few weeks of online research and had read and heard alot of terrible stories about unresponsive management at different apartments throughout town. So for me good property management was a top priority. The reviews West Koenig Flats had made it one of the picks on my apartment tour short list. After 2+ years as a resident here I can now confidently say that the management at West Koenig Flats is as incredible as I had hoped for. They have proved their responsiveness time and time again. From small requests like a clogged bathroom sink, to continued support and communication with all residents during the freak winter storm of 2020, to the biggest one of them all, the time they arranged accommodations for me when my kitchen needed emergency repairs and reconstruction. Some small component in my fridge had continuously leaked and caused serious water damage to my kitchen wall, a situation that was neither partys fault. The management gave me a fully furnished and stocked apartment unit in the same building to live in while the kitchen repairs were taking place. They arranged everything and made the situation alot less of a headache than it could have been.Beside the great property team, the property and facilities are kept pretty clean. The neighborhood feels safe and I have personally never had any issues with theft. I havent had to deal with any bad neighbors or regular noise disturbances. There are also regular community events hosted by the leasing office for the residents that want to be social and get to know their neighbors. The final major plus for me is West Koenig Flats relative proximity to UT with a super convenient bus stop directly outside of the building that drops you off on campus. The only negative aspect I can speak of is some of the awkward design choices that are seen in the unit layouts. For example doors that collide if they are opened at the same time and bedrooms walls that dont fully go all the way up to the ceiling. These are a result of poor planning or usability considerations by the architects, not anything to do with the property management team. Those odd layout choices arent big enough of a deal for me to bring down my overall satisfaction living here.Kelsey, Cecilia, Emily, Alexia, Derrick, and all of the staff at West Koenig Flats have made my time here enjoyable. Going onto year 3. -

I LOVE this place. I cannot say enough about how great my experience in here was. THE BEST living experience I had so far.Office staff are great. Kelsey, I think there are no enough words to thank her for how great she is, as a human being, and as a manager. I live 8 years in America, she is absolutely the best apartment manager Ive ever seen. She is honest, and very warm in heart, she made me feel like WKF was my home, not just an apartment I rented, If youll rent here, youll feel what I said.Great location, nice apartment, bus station is literally at our door, never needed a maintenance during 13 months, polite neighbors, and Kelsey is the manager. Ill say its full options. THANK YOU WKF team, Love. -

I am an apartment locator and visited West Koenig Flats today for the first time. Beautiful apartments. Very modern and great location. Juan helped us and he and Kelsey were super friendly and professional! They answered all our questions and were so kind and made the entire experience so comfortable for my client and myself. Everyone in the office was helped in a timely fashion. From what I can see this is a great place to live and I will continue bringing clients here! -

Ive lived at WKF for two years and have had an exceptional experience. The staff (Regina, Alexia, Kelsey, Derek - everyone else) have been very attentive to our needs and have done a great job in maintaining the building. This is a pet-friendly community and they have always ensured that it is not only a great place for humans, but for our furry friends as well! Its also a great, walkable location for all things North Loop. I would highly recommend this convenient spot and nice, well-kept community to anyone interested. -

Update one year later:I want to brag on the entire West Koenig Flats staff and to highlight everyone who has gone out of their way to be helpful and responsive - I’ve never had a request not met quickly or a question gone unanswered.Kelsey was fabulous as property manager and she continues to go above and beyond as manager - keeping track of my multiple issues as they arose during the transfer process from one unit to another. I can’t say enough about her...always professional and friendly at the same time even though there are so many residents, she always calls me by name and remembers everything current. How she does this for an entire building I have no idea, but it makes me feel at home. I’m so glad I decided to transfer within the building instead of leaving. Love the new apartment.Lexi has been super responsive, professional, and friendly, sunny smiles!Regina has jumped I to the deep end with remarkable grace. Since I just transferred, there have been a hundred random things I’ve asked and she’s always on top of things! I hate to be that squeaky wheel and we’re finally getting settled in, but I feel like we’re in good hands with her.Speaking of jumping in the deep end, Derek seems to have taken to maintenance like a duck to water and is super friendly, to boot. Quick with jokes and stories.Lastly, Joe as head maintenance is so great that his reputation for taking excellent care of the building preceded him when I moved in June 2018 I said to a neighbor in the hallway with a pool view how spotless and beautiful it always is and he immediately said yes, Joe makes sure it’s always perfect! Always friendly, professional, and knows everyone in the building!Staff have consistently never kept an open request longer than 24 hours, which is unheard of in the apartment world. I’ve never lived anywhere as well run. WKF I -

Want to know the best place to live in Austin? Its West Koenig Flats Apartments! We have lived here for over 3 years and we never want to leave! The location is so perfect for us as we work just a few blocks away, not to mention we are so close to so many stores, restaurants and downtown! The amenities are superb, and BEST OF ALL is the outstanding staff! Kelsey, Regina, Alexia, Joe & his maintenance team, always go WAY above and beyond to take care of us and this beautiful community! We are so thankful for WKF and all they do to make us feel appreciated and cared for. Thank you, WKF for making us feel so proud to live in such a great place! -

I lived in West Koenig Flats for a year and I loved it. The amenities were wonderful, the staff was great, and the area was great. All maintenance requests were handled very quickly. Garbage/recycling pick-up was every night and were accommodating to pick up larger haul-away items. I felt particularly safe due to all of the FOB requirements to enter all the spaces.Typical grievances of any apartment- the walls/floors/ceilings were thin enough that I could hear my neighbors (some louder than others) and the gate to the garage was broken/malfunctioning/stuck open or closed several times.Definitely recommend!! -

Not only is she a true professional and amazing at what she does, she is also a wonderfully kind human being that is sure to put a smile on your face every day. Oh and the property and apartments here rock too. I had an issue with my ledger being wrong, and Regina and Kelsey stepped graciously in to fix the issue and update our ledger!Apartments themselves are modern, clean, and gorgeous. They have different floor plans for your taste. The area itself: youre literally next to THREE sides of Austin: Airport Blvd/ACC, North Loop hipster area (tons of restaurants and vintage shops), and Lamar Blvd. Love living here after my nightmare apartment and Ill be re-signing for sure :) -

HIGHLIGHTS:-AMAZING Staff and community-LOCATION! The sweetest safest neighborhood; a pleasant and short walk to Austin’s finest places (North Loop, Work Horse, Drink Well, Foreign and Domestic Epoch, Home Slice)-Beautifully maintained, and upgraded-Beautiful apartment layouts with bright units. We loved our unit SO much. It was only a one bedroom but with two of us and a dog, it felt super spacious.-Its very chill and quiet complex, but not stuffy like you have to walk on eggshells in your apartment. I never heard anyone through the walls or felt disturbed by a neighbor ever.-The POOL is lovely, chill, cold, maintained, and clean. Never felt too crowded or loud. Sure, we all love Barton Springs, but having this chill pool at our disposal with no lines or Austin crowds was a game changer.-The STAFF AGAIN! Kelsey, Lexi, and Joe. LOVE THIS GROUP!! They made all of the difference, please see more below:We moved to WKF after our beloved apartment on South Congress was being sold and we had to find a place fast. We looked at a ton of places, and the location of the building and layout of our unit is what sold us on WKF. The move was intended to be temporary, but we ended up staying 3 years, and only left because we left the city. We fell in LOVE with our home there; the pool, the gym, the walkability (so much FUN to be right in North loop, and walk our dog in the sweet neighborhood), but we ended up feeling so at home because of the facilities and office family.I want share immense praise of our property manager, Kelsey Mosher. I had always thought Kelsey was super great and involved with the WKF community, wonderful to communicate with, and just all around warm and friendly when she started there. Then the big snowstorm happened. Everyone in Austin, let alone the complex, was terrified. We lost power, we lost water… I’d be out walking my dog and I’d see Kelsey, at all times day or night, reassuring tenants, walking the halls at all hours of the night making sure there was no fire risk for us, and know she also did so while we slept. Not once complaining and always asking how we were holding up, always out for the tenants best interests and keeping us up to date. We felt so safe and lucky to have a home there during a freak storm under her watch. We felt SO SAFE there. After that we felt even more of a camaraderie with our community there- esp with Kelsey, Lexi, and Joe (and the entire maintenance team). They had done all they could to get us power, water, and keep us informed. There were constant email updates, in person updates, and you could tell it wasn’t just us that felt supported and safe- so many tenants brought them thank you gifts and hugs when we got through it. I have not heard of anything like this in any other apartment community during this time- just horror stories. Then life went on and it was the small stuff that made us continue to love our home. Lexi came along and hosted a very sweet event at the dog park (also, love the daily 5pm community Dog Park meet up. It kept me and my dog social during the pandemic 😊) where she had dog treats and collapsible water bowls for the pups (I still have mine- so helpful in the hot weather on walks). Lexi’s sweet welcome made her Lady Birds favorite person. Then began our tradition of HAVING to visit Kelsey and Lexi in the office once a day (at least) to say hi. My dog could not drag me faster to the office to see them, get treats, interrupt their work, and always get the sweetest warmest welcome. If the office was closed on night walk, she’d drag me to the office door and paw at it.I have countless more compliments, but those are the highlights! This could have been a stale complex experience, but we found a real home here that we loved. -

I took over a sublease and lived at west Koenig for about 8 months. In that time I experienced and overall good term. My apartment was on the first floor and due to its location of high traffic and bus stop I recommend you aim for higher floors. You get a non-stop sound of cars and buses which got annoying. The rent was expensive and increased when re-signing lease which is why I moved out. The location is ideal and the staff is great. -

We moved to this apartment complex about 6 months ago and we are very happy! Amelia is the nicest and funniest person, she was one of the reasons why we picked this place. She knows everyone by name and genuinely cares about everyone who lives here being happy. She was very patient and took her time to find an apartment that was just right us.Katy and Tanisha are on point with anything we might need. I truly recomend this place to live if you want to feel like a part of a communtiy and were the people who work here actually care about you. Everyone is always very kind and happy to help.I’ve lived in other apartments here in Austin and I must say this is by far my favorite place. The pool is very nice and cozy, the gym is well equipped, and the aparments are very pretty looking inside. -

I moved into West Koenig Flats when I first moved to Austin. Two years later, I moved back in. Having lived at the Arnold on east 6th St. and in a house in Clarksville. West Koenig is STILL the best apartment complex out there. Its kept clean all the time, the residents are respectful of each other, and most importantly, they have ABSOLUTELY THE BEST customer service. The management is empathetic, kind, and will go the extra mile for you to ensure that you love living here. -
Review 70 (2020-12-15 - Rating: 5)
In the two years Ive lived here, the staff members with whom I regularly come in contact (Kelsey, Alexia, Regina, Joe, Derek) have been responsive, courteous, and professional. The amenities are great, and the location is within walking distance of the bars, shops, restaurants, and food trucks of North Loop. If you have a leash-walkable pet (dog, agreeable cat, human child... iguana?), youll probably get to know your neighbors in the building and around the neighborhood. The downsides are the same as any apartment (maybe an occasional heavy-footed upstairs neighbor or midnight fire alarm). However, the overall comfort and safety make up for that. I dont use the pool because Jaws messed me up when I was toddler. But everyone else seems to dig it. Oh, and there are two Whataburgers not too far away. -

I’ve lived here for over a year now and am blown away by the care and attention management puts into the residents. Management helps make the community feel tight knit. They also address tenant concerns like real, considerate people treating tenants as if they are neighbors, not clients. -

West Koenig Flats is the best! The only reason we moved was to be closer to downtown. The location is very central (easy access to 35) and less than a 10-minute drive to downtown. The staff went above and beyond every single time I interacted with them. The building is quiet and you can walk to some neighborhood bars! -

I’ve lived at the WKF for years and really love it here for the location, amenities, my pretty apartment, but most of all, the staff here is just so lovely! Kelsey and Lexi are my GIRLS. The other day I couldn’t for the life of me remember if I left my backpack in my apartment or in the parking garage before I got in my car. Lexi checked both for me like a sweetheart. It was in my apartment (lol) but having that peace of mind was major. Kelsey is basically as obsessed with my dog as I am, and constantly showers him with love. He’s pretty obsessed with her too. So yeah, nothing but good things to say. I also love that the complex is in a neighborhood, great for walking the pup. 🧡 y’all! -

Ive been at the West Koenig Flats since April of 2018 and this has been by far one of the best apartment communities Ive ever lived at. WKF is very central to DT and the Domain and has everything you will ever need including an awesome clubhouse with pool table, pool with great neighbors that come out during hot days, BBQ grills that are well maintained and always ready to go, great gym with everything you need, gated parking garage, 24-7 Amazon lockers (my favorite), and a new dry cleaning service. I truly believe it is the staff at WKF that makes this place a great place to be. Amelia and Tanisha are very understanding, willing to work with you, and are the best resources when you need some friendly advice. If not for the opportunity of moving back home to CO next month, I most-def. wouldve signed another lease to live here again. Ill always remember my time in ATX at the WKF! Must see! -

My husband and I have been residing at West Keonig Flats for over 6 months now. I wanted to wait until it made half a year to share my experience, to make sure I was being as objective as possible. We are the first to reside in our unit and noticed a few things. While the rent is expensive, this is a problem that is present throughout most of Austin (believe me, Ive looked). West Keonig Flats for the price they charge offer a very clean building however and comfortable living. We always had a good experience with repairs whenever there was an issue, and the staff has always been very nice to us. Our part of the building is quiet and we are seldom disturbed. That being said, people on the first floor must be having a different experience altogether, considering the traffic on that floor is in much larger numbers than floors 2, 3 and 4.The community has a nice pool, a nature area, a lobby with couch and TV, and a gym room. Its also got a business center that is nice when the printer actually works. While we had an overall nice experience so far, with both management companies, annoyances include: A lack of dedicated recycling bin makes trash/recycling pickup quite annoying; Fellow residents often fail to dispose of their trash properly and block the trash chutes, resulting in big piles of trash in the garage (not impressed); Pet rent is expensive (and a stupid concept too, if you ask me, that looks more like a way to screw residents over by charging a tax for having a pet); The trash valet are nazis about how they want their trash prepared so we just take care of it ourselves, though theres no option to opt out of the paid program, which sucks big time; Theres no composting available (the lack of care for the environment is unfortunately very Texan, I have found); Sloppy aesthetic detail work in the apartment and building as a whole, as in splashes of paint here and there, crown molding isnt perfect in all places, cabinets misaligned, cracks in the room corners, all indicating the workers rushed to complete the construction in 2015-2016.But all is not bleak. West Koenig Flats is conveniently located near North Loop strip which includes some nice cafes and bars, and it is easily accessible by car or bus. The bus number 7 which stops right in front of the building takes you downtown in less than half an hour, no transfers needed.Dog poop has never been an issue for us, though there is a nasty stain in the middle of the hallway leading to our apartment, which we suspect might be old trash juice.West Koenig Flats is a nice apartment complex. Its not perfect, but it does deliver quality in most areas. -

About 6 months ago, my one-year lease was almost up at West Koenig Flats. When they sent me my initial renewal notice (nearly 4 months in advance) the only thing I needed to consider was how many months I wanted to extend. The thought of NOT renewing never even crossed my mind! I even put house hunting on hold for another year just so I could stay a little longer. Besides, my cozy one bedroom at WKF already feels like a home... thanks to the staff and all of my neighbors.Id like to start with our maintenance team. Joe and Ely - the swift response duo. They may be the funniest, most accommodating, and stupendously knowledgeable technicians that Ive ever met. I work in the apartment industry, and I deal with maintenance teams on a daily basis. I only wish that every team I worked with had a Joe as a lead and an Ely as a tech. As a renter, its always felt a little demeaning having to put a service request in for something as menial as a lightbulb replacement... but leave it to the WKF maintenance guys to make it feel like fun. I actually go out of my way now to be sure that Im home whenever I know theyre coming to fix something for me, just so I can crack jokes with Ely and hear a Joe story. Our housekeeper, Liz, came to clean my apartment after I renewed the lease... I ate off my floors for the two weeks following just because I could. I pulled the washer and dryer away from the wall thinking, they always forget behind there, and it looked like she waxed the hardwood! From blinds, to ceiling-fan blades, to the drain in the bathtub, I couldnt find a place that wasnt spotless. She even regularly vacuums my welcome mat outside my door!Lastly, the leasing team. Ive lived here through a staffing change, and although the entire squad who helped convince me to initially move in was outstanding, Id like to speak on the current members. Our Leasing Professional, Juan, is the first face I see every time I walk in, and even when I know hes stressed out and busy, I can still find a charming smile on it. The passing is always accompanied with a genuine welcome home. If you become friends with him, (which its impossible not to), ask him to do the voice thing. I promise youll laugh. Also, Im pretty sure he was nominated for friendliest face by the management company when he started? Yeah, even though thats made up, he gets my vote. Our Assistant Manager, Kelsey, is one of the most thoughtful and sincere people Ive ever met. The residents ALWAYS come first in Kelseys office. If youre stopping in just to say hello or youre coming with a question about your lease, her computer screen gets turned away, her phone gets flipped on silent, and her focus goes straight to you. Theres a little whiteboard sign that sits behind Kelsey in her office and she updates it with a hilarious new joke every week. The only jokes she will use HAVE to come from a resident. And thats the type of person she is; hundreds of interactions every week and the parts of them she wants to share are the parts that make you smile. She manages her team and cares for her tenants with unmatched enthusiasm and grace. Then theres, Cecilia - shes our magnificent Manager. If youve never seen the WWII era We Can Do It! poster, you should Google it for an idea of what Cecilia is like. She likely learned a little about organization and structure after serving in the U.S. Air Force, because it shows in her work. Without her ever mentioning it during the first 2 minutes of meeting, I asked her what branch she served in. Its easy to guess that when folks take as much pride in their work as she does. Even though she mostly serves as a behind-the-scenes buffer between the corporate management office and the community, her efforts to maintain WKF dont go unnoticed. If youve read this far, youre probably a people person like me. The humans on the roster at WKF, from manager to neighbor, are enough to make anyone want to live here. If youre not a people person, check out their website and search it on Google maps. WKF = HOME. -
