    I have been living at Village on the Lake apartments for a few years and the staff has been absolutely amazing. The staff is very considerate, professional, and always ready to help out with any of our questions or concerns. Griselda and Molly have been exceptionally helpful to me and my family throughout my stay here and they will always leave you with a smile on your face from their outstanding professionalism. Thank you all, including the maintenance, for making our stay here pleasant and peaceful. Be Blessed!

    Attention!!! Village on the Lake is THE BEST apartment community in south Houston! My wife and I moved here right after we got married and what a dream it was. The staff is so caring and helpful!! Specifically Griselda and Molly! If you ever have a maintenance problem the staff is always there to help no matter the time or day. We loved living here. The amenities were also great; 3 pools, clear lake in your back yard, 2 gyms and a putting green! We can not recommend Village on the Lake enough. We felt very safe and everyone in this community is nice and pleasant to be around. Very easy move in and out process. Thank ya’ll!!

    Before coming to the US, we received incredible support from the Village on the Lake team. We spent a wonderful period in the house we rented, thanks to their exceptional assistance. During our time here, we truly felt like we were part of a family, even though we were far from home. We are deeply saddened to have to move out, especially after the constant care and attention from the site management. They made every process so much easier for us, and we felt incredibly supported throughout our stay. When we had to hand over the keys to the office, we did so tearfully, as we couldnt be happy about buying a new home because of our strong attachment to Village on the Lake.In addition to the management team, the maintenance team also deserves special mention for always responding to our issues immediately, day or night, which made our lives so much easier. The design of our home, its functionality, and the overall experience will always be unforgettable.I highly recommend everyone to become part of this wonderful community.

    The touring, filling out apps and property is great. The office staff is super . Molly was there for every question and concerns. A neighbor is loud, but thats apartment living and dealing with people that dont have a care for others. I love looking at the water everyday. I recommend!

    I have lived here for 3 years now mainly because of how quiet and safe it is for my daughter. The maintenance department is Top notch, I have never met a more friendly & capable group of people any issues you might have they are there in minutes to fix and its done right.

    Emily was very kind from the start. She made our whole moving process VERY EASY! We love love living here. The ammenities are absolutely wonderful! Residents are kind and I also love that it is very PET FRIENDLY. All office staff Ive came across have been very helpful and taken care of our needs. Maintenance is very fast here as well. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND living here. You will not be disappointed.

    My husband and I sold our home in Nassau Bay recently and moved here; we love it. The office management staff is friendly, accommodating and professional. The excellent maintenance crew is polite, prompt and efficient. The three pools are pristine and the tropical landscaping is lovely. The gym equipment is high- end, and the location is very convenient and safe. Our unit is spacious and bright. We just renewed our lease.

    When my wife and I were on the hunt for a place to live in East Houston after our wedding, we stumbled onto this gem upon months of research. We had done several tours and were ready to sign on with another complex, and almost dismissed Village as a result of feeling we had found something suitable. Im glad we gave Village a chance with a tour, as they blew us out of the water as soon as we arrived on site. Josh has been a fantastic resource since living in the complex, and guided us around the property on two tours before we finally decided to make the move on choosing Village. He was straightforward with pricing, and worked with us to find the best sized space for our needs. For a new married couple, this has been the perfect home. When I saw deer on our first tour, I knew this was the place. Its so close to the waters of Clear Lake, and we occasionally go kayaking just to enjoy the natural landscape surrounding the area. The complex is located right on the Mud Lake portion of Clear Lake, which offers fantastic views during evening walks. A stroll to the mailbox often turns into a peaceful adventure; its not uncommon to see deer, racoons, birds of several varieties and other critters near the nature reserve (and worry not, theres a fence to keep them at bay!). Village is a place where you get what you pay for; it isnt just another apartment. Its truly a home. The two bedroom options offer plenty of space. If I had any critiques, it would be the kitchen size and occasional neighbors making noise (which you will have at any complex, though it is so much quieter here!). I cant recommend Village enough. If its in your budget, I would highly recommend it. And even if youre uncertain about it, take the tour at least - Josh and the staff are fantastic stewards of this property, and make a point to treat all residents with respect and appreciation. Ive seen few complexes as well maintained and managed as Village. 10/10 experience to date. Hopefully we will have more updates to share in the months to come.

    We absolutely love living here at Village On The Lake! Its been almost a year and we could not have asked for a better place to live when we transitioned here to the Houston area. The office staff is fantastic, always attentive and friendly and they know everyone living here by name (impressive indeed). The maintenance folks, words alone do not do justice to how awesome all these men and women are. They work tirelessly to keep the grounds and facilities immaculate. Whenever weve needed a service in our unit, they have responded with lightning quick and efficient resolution. The 3 pools are always ready for us to jump in, the 2 gyms stay clean and smelling good (never musty or stale), and the neighbors here are just the best. If youre looking for luxury apartment living, right by the water, with easy access to multiple highways/freeways, then I highly recommend making VOTL your next home.

    I’ve lived at Village on the Lake for about a year and a half and couldn’t be happier with the decision to live here. My son and I love the amenities and feel safe, which was a big deciding factor on where we were deciding to live. When the storm hit, the village staff was so quick to clean everything up. I was fascinated. 10/10 recommend.

    My husband and I recently finished our one year term here and it was hard to say good bye to the many friends we made here. For the one year we spent here our apartment felt more than just an apartment it felt like a home. The complex is very suitable to family living, as many families here can attest to. If youre into the outdoors you can kayak, ride bikes, run, bird watch, and fish all in your backyard. My husband enjoyed fishing almost daily when he got out early, and I enjoyed the resort style landscape to help me unwind and relax. The staff is for you and not against you answering any questions or needs you have. The maintenance personnel are trustworthy, hard working, knowledgeable, and wave at you with a smile. Thank you for the great memories!

    I NEVER write these reviews, but if I could give 10 STARS I would! Not only is this one of the most beautiful properties youll ever find for apartments, but they also have the most beautiful people on their staff. The assistant manager Griselda pulled us in right away. We immediately felt like we were friends , cracking up and laughing at jokes the entire time we were touring. Since we met her she hugs us every time she sees us and has the most bubbly personality Ive ever seen in the industry. Everyone in the office is very kind. Mike also works in the office and is very, very knowledgeable of the property and the residents. He knows many of them by name and hes also very kind and down to earth.Ive lived in apartments for a very long time, so I know that its not just about getting pulled in, but about being happy to stay. Moving is a drag! Well to be happy at an apartment a good maintenance team is crucial. Eric is the maintenance manager, the BEST ON THE PLANET, and he also happens to be one of the kindest human beings weve ever encountered. He will bend over backwards to make sure you are happy and enjoying your home. His team is a direct reflection of his leadership. Every single member of the maintenance staff Ive met that has helped me gets the job done with joy in their hearts and smiles on their faces. Eric is just amazing and his team is truly awesome. The property is GORGEOUS and wonderfully maintained. They have grounds people around the clock, and theres always friendly staff on call after hours if needed. We truly feel like we live in paradise.     I have enjoyed living at the Village on the Lake for the last year and it has been nearly perfect (nothing is ever truly perfect in life!). It’s very close to the market, shops, and other amenities (but not too close)! I like the gated community and sense of security (there is the occasional issue but not anything out of the ordinary). The grounds are beautiful with lots of trees and plants and well kept (thank you maintenance team!) The Management Office Team is fantastic, top rate professionals (Lori, Emily, Griselda, Molly) who are responsive and quickly address apartment maintenance issues (and I have had very few!) The workout facilities, pools, business meeting rooms are well-maintained and cared for. And I have really enjoyed meeting and spending time with a very diverse, multi-generational, and very friendly set of neighbors! I plan on staying a while!

    Weve had the pleasure of living at this property for 4 years and it has always been incredible. The area feels so safe, the sense of community, the incredible staff, the beautifully maintained grounds are all the reasons we cant see moving anywhere else. Im so grateful for the care that Lori and her team provide and for the great care they take of their tenants. This isnt just another apartment complex, its a wonderful place to call home and we are so happy to be a part of it.

    We have looked at Village on the Lake a couple times and finally decided to lease here after a few years at a rental property. The staff is so nice, the apartment itself is beautiful. Neighbors are kind. The noise isn’t too bad. It is an apartment complex so we do hear our upstairs neighbor’s very happy dog :-) But other than that no complaints. We’re only a month in but a lot of people say really great things about living here and it has a great reputation.

    The Office staff from Management and all staff have been excellent in every way. The Maintenance Team has responded with in 24 hours and fixed or replaced every request. The Office staff has been excellent with helping with any questions even helping program my Google account for Front Gate Access to make it extremely easy for guests to visit. If you are interested in a Gated Community with a Private Garage and excellent poolside views and Great Grounds. That are well maintained. Then I’d recommend you take the time to visit the Community at Village on the Lake.

    I dream of moving back to Village on the Lake.I was a resident of 2.5 years and only left due to a work transfer.So many pros: Lori, the longtime community manager, was always on top of things. Incredible, fast, friendly maintenance team. This is a sprawling, relatively quiet resort on the water with many longtime residents. Three pools, including an infinity pool overlooking the lake. Private lakefront park. Walking trails zigzag throughout the complex. Garages included with most units. Spacious layouts with high ceilings. Amazon packages delivered to your door (no silly lockers). Vehicle entry gates were almost always closed. Quality construction build with no neighbor noises to be heard. New gym. Your choice of Internet/cable service. Zoned to great schools. Youre tucked away yet so close to Clear Lake Park and Kemah.Cons: Minimal visitor parking.Tip: Do not sign up for Fetch package delivery. Your Amazon packages will still be delivered if you dont sign up with Fetch -- however you will still be charged the package fee in the lease, unfortunately. Fetch is notoriously horrible with thousands of 1-star reviews and its just a way for Greystar to pocket for money and offer a middleman to damage and lose your packages.I hope to get the opportunity to come home to VOTL again.

    The apartment was nice, and the view from it of Clear Lake was awesome. Then there are the facilities to enjoy: gym, swimming pools, outdoor grill in wonderful park-like settings.But most of all--- the helpful, friendly, couretous staff at the office, and maintenance.We have always bragged about Village on the Lake to anyone who seemed interested.We wish you all the very best!!

    I have been living in Village on the Lake for 10 years, the staff here has been great . The Maintenance group have been on time and do good work and clean up after they are done. The office staff has always answered my questions and I have never had any problems with insects. They steam clean my carpets every year if I ask. I love living here will probably continue for a few more years until I retire.

    This apartment community is excellent in every aspect. The grounds are well maintained, the staff is polite and responsive to requests and the layout of the apartment is perfect. There is wonderful closet space and the rooms themselves are spacious and inviting. Our unit has a computer/office space which saved us from needing a 3 bedroom apartment. We have everything we need: quality appliances, washer/dryer, attached garage, extra closet space and a small porch. The community is quiet and our neighbors cordial. This is a pet friendly community and yet somehow there is no audible evidence of this. There are also a number of children here but, again, this has been a quiet and peaceful home for us.

    Definitely giving this place a 5 star with no questions asked! We made a move from Pennsylvania site unseen. Throught the whole process, Emily helped us through the whole thing with ZERO issues. We arrived, and it already felt like home. She gave us a tour of the beautiful complex (feels like a resort) and welcomed us like we lived here forever. We have been here 2 weeks and everything about this property from the maintenance to the residents has been nothing short of 5 stars. Highly recommended without a shadow of a doubt!

    I have lived here now for more than 15 years. I was initially drawn to its proximity to NASA, but have come to greatly appreciate the access to the surrounding natural settings (the lake, park and wooded areas). The neighbors are friendly and the complex is both quiet and kept clean.Above all else, the management, staff and maintenance crew have gone above and beyond to meet my requests. They are friendly and always willing to help, which has made residing here a real pleasure.

    I have lived at Village on the Lake since 2010 and love living here. It is in a beautiful location/lake views and a great community with awesome amenities such as garages, 2 exercise rooms, 3 pools (1 with a lake view) with tons of chairs, tables. I enjoy fishing on the lake from the property.One of the reasons I have stayed so long is the management and maintenance staff. Lori is perfect for our Property Manager, along with the other staff in the office who are very caring and involved and are great at what they do. The maintenance staff is the best as well. They have been here forever and do such a great job. They make sure the place is clean, safe and well maintained.My patio is awesome and I do agree with the others that this place is a resort-style living property. It’s basically 2 for the price of 1…you have your home and then you have your lake home.I have looked at other properties and no one can come close to the amenities and quality of living. Also, it is perfect for bird watching…you see several different kinds of beautiful birds.Not to mention this place did not flood during Hurricane Harvey and it is on Mud Lake that feeds in and out of Clear Lake. One of the very few properties to not have substantial damage from the flood in the Clear Lake area.I would recommend this place to anyone who loves living in the Clear Lake area and does not want to bother with a home, yard, etc. It is a great place to live.

    I have lived at Village on the Lake since 2015 and absolutely love living here. The amenities are incredible and the location is perfect! Beautiful views of Clear Lake, a nature preserve and trail, a park on Clear Lake, etc. I love seeing the flora and fauna every morning. There isnt anywhere else that even compares. The Manager, Lori Flanders, is wonderful and does a great job! Any request, even small, it attended to immediately. I have definitely found my home!

    I moved in the end of March, Emily gave me several tours and gave a little insight on what was best for me being that I live by my self, I went up there about 4 times and she was always happy to help.     Village on the Lake has been a truly great place to live. My wife and I got married while living here, our first daughter was born while we were here, and one of the only reasons we are leaving is because we are expanding our family and need more space. The management is always quick to respond and very helpful. Maintenance is fast and hassle-free. I truly recommend this complex to anyone looking to move.

    We lived at Village on the Lake Apartments for over 18 months and only moved out recently due to an interstate work transfer. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and maintained so it feels like you are living in a holiday resort, especially with the choice of 3 swimming pools, 2 fitness centres and other facilities.Our apartment was very spacious and had lots of storage which is unusual in most apartments. The few maintenance issues we had were resolved very promptly thanks to Ramsey & Luis.The office staff were always very friendly and helpful, especially Lori and Griselda.We were very sad to leave, however, if we return to Houston, we know we can find a great home at Village on the Lake Apartments.

    After living here more than eight years, I can only say positive things about the management, maintenance, and grounds at Village on the Lake. Lori, the manager, and her office staff are always responsive and helpful, and the maintenance crew is superb. And of course the landscaping and grounds are lovely.     I have been in these apartment for two years and renewing my lease for another year. These are home away from home. Very luxury but still homely. Great location, maintenance( within few hours if called) and great office staff. They have nice lake/pond on site where can have leisure walk. Walking trail next to nature park, you can see morning deer. Office staff is exceptionally awesome. Lori Dillon Property manager is awesome. My 5 year old love her and other staff. Heather and Griselda(hope I have correct spelling) do great job. Only points I will take away is renewing lease there is always increase in rent. That hurts for long timers and adds up when you are into third year renewing lease.

    I have lived at Village on the lake for 5 years, and just renewed my lease for another year. I enjoy taking my dog for walks around the manicured landscape. while admiring the birds, bunnies and armadillos that call this place home. When I visit the office Im always met with a smile and the offer of a treat for my dog. Ramsey and Louis from maintenance are helpful and quick with repairs. They enjoy a good laugh and are always kind and courteous. There are a lot of great people here too. I actually met my best friend several years ago when I was walking my dog by the lake.

    We really enjoyed our year there in a three bedroom apartment at Village On The Lake. They were very responsive to our needs and kept the grounds looking impeccable. The staff was very warm and friendly and extremely helpful. The apartments are very well-kept and very well-maintained and the infinity pool overlooking the water is fabulous. If you’re going to be moving to the Clear Lake area I would highly recommend checking out Village On The Lake apartments.

    I lived at a Village on the Lake for the last few years and only moved out recently due to moving to another state. I have nothing but great things to say about Village on the Lake. The staff and management team are wonderful, maintenance needs are dealt with promptly and the apartments themselves are great! The property is beautiful and well-maintained. There are 3 pools and even a lake with a park in the back of the complex!

    Ive been with Village on the Lake for a few years now. I havent had a single issue with them. Things are fixed in a timely manner and the staff is always so friendly when I need them. Lori the manager has been there the entire time which is really impressive. From past experiences most apartments have a very high turnover of that position. I never thought to write a review until my most recent mishap. Unfortunately the A/C had an issue while out of town and water flooded the living room area. It was a Sunday, but maintenance still came right away. They worked quickly and efficiently. Even helped me move furniture. On Monday morning the apartment staff got involved and worked with maintence to be sure everything was cleaned in a professional manner. Due to the length of my trip, mold had started to form on the walls. They didnt just try to wipe it off. They brought in a dehumidifier, blowers and cut out the affected walls. Im so impressed with the understanding, friendliness, cooperation, professionalism, compassion and swiftness!!! Ive heard horror stories about apartments and maintenance. Not at Village on the Lake! They are a top notch act. Im so happy to be here!

    We moved in Village on the Lake, Phase II, floor plan B, in Sept.2011, and movedout in Dec. 2013 due to job change.Overall, our experience here was great. My wife and I loved living here.The quality of the apartment itself is very satisfying for us, not to mention the resort-type landscaping in the complex.My experience with leasing office led by Lori was fantastic. They have been willing to and able to address all our concerns/inquiries.Maintenance was prompt and well performed. We had water pipe leaking upstairs and our carpet, cabinet all ruined. They have all the issues well fixed in a day.As to the moving out inspection, it was easy and low pressure. Use the cleaning service that office staff recommend, she knows what to do. We were able to get most of the deposit back except $25 for blind replacement and $45 for several stains on the carpet that cannot be moved by shampooing.There are only two things that sometime frustrated me, 1) public parking spots were limited, if you have visitors during weekend, make sure they arrive in the morning; 2) racoons also live within the complex happily, be aware of those fatty.We will definitely choose VOL again if we are back to this region and not buying a house then.

    I have lived at this complex twice and I have enjoyed both times. The staff is courteous and attentive. If I ever required attention, they were quick to act. The facilities are well maintained and the property offers three pools, putting green, and workout center. My neighbors were respectful and the noise levels were reasonable. If you need a place to stay in the Clear Lake area, go visit Lori, shes the best.

    I have been at Village on the Lake Apartments for 5 years! It is so much more than an apartment! My unit overlooks a beautifully landscaped courtyard area! I have a garage under my apartment! I enjoy beautiful walks around Clear Lake! The staff, maintenance and leasing agents are friendly and efficient! The wildlife, birds and flora are also a plus, as it sits next to a wildlife reserve!

    Village on the Lake is an amazing place to call home. The office staff are very friendly and always make you feel like you are family. Maintenance crew are good and efficient in getting repairs done. We recently had our hot water heater go out and in 5-10 minutes they came to our apartment and within 2 hours we had a new water heater installed. Village on the Lake is this way because the manager truly cares about the residents who live here and this apartment complex.

    My wife and I have been staying here for the past year while our new home was being built and we are sad to leave. We were very nervous about staying in an apartment and looked at several but once we saw Village on the Lakes we knew we found a home.The community is beautifully landscaped and well maintained. Its a little more pricey but well worth it for the privacy and security. We got one of the townhouse apartments which allows you to park and walk directly in your apartment which gave additional privacy.We have had only minor issues that have come up in the past year (which is typical living in an apartment) but Lori the manager has been awesome in getting things resolved very quickly. Staff is friendly and there is a sense of community living here.It truly was a joy living here.Kerwyn

    Ive been at Village On The Lake for a year now. Best place Ive ever live. The entire office staff is great. The maintenance staff is helpful no matter what time of day or night you need them. The grounds and amenities are wonderful the gym is great. My first years lease just ran up and Im not only renewing but moving from a one bedroom to a two bedroom in Phase 2. I definitely recommend anyone looking to please come to Village. You wont regret it.

    Ive lived in the Village On The Lake apartments for over 4 years now and I must say that it has been, by far, the most pleasant apartment experience Ive ever had.     Moving long distance to an area you know nothing about to an apartment complex based solely on the reviews would seem crazy to some. Smart City helped me narrow my choices and after some intensive homework, I picked Phase 2 at Village on the Lakes. Very quiet, beautiful grounds, staff is great.     Have lived at Village on the lake since February and absolutely loved it! Great landscaping, cleanliness, and hospitality from the staff has made Village on the lake a great place to call home! Anytime I have ever had any type of issue or problem come up with my apartment, I know that Molly who works as a leasing agent hear at Village on the lake will go out of her way and do her absolute best to take care of whatever it is and you cant help but appreciate her hard work!     My husband and I lived here for almost 3 years and thoroughly enjoyed it. Best apartment complex we have ever lived in based on management staff, maintenance, quality of the apartment, and complex grounds and amenities. It felt like a resort everyday. We’re only moving to buy our first house and we were really picky in our search because we loved this complex so much. We love our house, too but there are some things from VOTL that I’ll miss like the water view and nature reserve next door. Not to mention the beautiful landscaping, I wish they could come do my house! I would recommend this place to anyone looking for an apartment!

    Its been about 7 years now that I have lived here. Its been very nice! Pools are always clean...landscaping is always full of colors. The office staff are always polite and on top of any problems Ive ever had.... and I cant say enough about the manager...AWESOME! The maintenance team is irreplaceable! (Even whens is me that forget to switch the thermostat from AC to Heat. Lol). Thank you for always being there!

    My main shout out is to the staff, particularly the maintenance crew! Two weeks ago I returned from Poland to a mess of gray-water overflow because neighbors obviously pour grease down the sink (it doesn’t bother them because it’s MY sinks that overflow). Ramsey and Luis were there in minutes and spent three hours unstopping the sink and doing major clean-up. Maintenance supervisor, Eric, had them bring over two dehumidifiers and showed me how to empty them! Maintenance checked on me every day for a week until the dehumidifiers were removed. Then they saw that my rug was cleaned and dry. I so appreciate their outstanding service….really helped in a nasty situation!!

    Ramsey is the best maintenance man I ever met. All the maintenance staff really have been awesome. Ive lived here for almost 2 years. This is one of the best perks of living at the Village on the Lake. The office staff are also very helpful and friendly. We are always saying good morning to each other. Michael always has a smile on his face.Josh and Molly are also very helpful.Im going to miss this group if/when we have to move.

    Village on the Lakes is a lovely apartment complex, with gorgeous apartment units and beautifully landscaped grounds, but the most compelling reason to move in here is the amazing staff. Everyone that works at Village on the Lakes is super helpful! When we first looked at the apartments, Molly gave us a full tour and showed us all of the amenities, and answered all of our MANY questions. She went out of her way to help us with the application process and get everything in order. Josh is always so friendly, and has the greatest can-do attitude in answering questions about setting up for extermination, utilities, and anything else we needed! Griselda, the Assistant Manager, always answered questions quickly and completely, and was so helpful. Eric in maintenance is so nice and keeps things running smoothly, as is Laurie in Groundskeeping. There are others that we interacted with, and every last person there is professional and friendly. I saw some earlier reviews that complained about non-residents using the pool and that management didnt do anything about it, but that was not our experience. There were email communications about how to best handle that situation, and it was dealt with by the staff when it was brought to their attention. In fact, the staff communicates often through email about common questions, holidays, activities, weather precautions, etc. I also saw some reviews about the trash disposal area but we had no problems - it was always clean. The staff was very careful during Covid with distancing and masking. Also, there are some great neighbors, and fun get-togethers with multiple vendors and food trucks. Finally, VOTL has a great location that is convenient to the Clear Lake area attractions and businesses. We highly recommend Village on the Lakes for a wonderful apartment-living experience!

    Wonderful place to live. Great apartment, lots of storage, well-maintained property, friendly staff, nice neighbors. Its gorgeous and lots of beautiful birds everywhere. The only reason I moved out was because I got a job in another state. If I move back to the area, I would happily live here again. Highly recommend!

    So Ive lived here for 6 months now, everything is incredible.Fireworks visible from the infinity pool on holidays and every Friday in summer. Grounds are immaculate with pools too match. The gyms are always clean and the personal trainer is qualified. Staff is always friendly and reliable. Neighbors are friendly.Very comfortable place to live, recommend to anybody. Yes it is expensive to live here, and yes it is WELL worth it.The raccoons, armadillos and opossums are active at night, but thats anywhere around here with the nature preserve right around the corner. Dont let nature stop you from calling this place home.

    We have really loved calling Village on the Lake our home for the past year and a half. The front office is very nice and easy to work with. We love using the many amenities this place has to offer. We are frequent users of the pools, and the two fitness centers which are all cleaned everyday. We feel comfortable, and safe here. We would recommend living here!

    When we first looked at these apartments, we thought they were going to be super expensive, but they are very reasonable for the location! Michael was our leasing agent, and we appreciated him so much for his patience as we took about 3 months before actually signing a lease! He is very friendly and made sure we had a pleasant experience every time we came to tour! The only downside of the whole experience was the upgrades we DID NOT have upon move in. I knew the counters would be non-upgraded, but I did not like the window blinds and fridge (without an ice maker outside on the door); it was very upsetting the first couple of days we moved in. We would have appreciated more communication on this...Other than that, we have enjoyed the property, our view of the woods, and enjoy the staff in the office, as well as maintenance! They have ALL been wonderful!

    I have so many wonderful things to say about Village on the Lake and my rental agent, Grisielda. I love, love, love her. I was going through a divorce and I have been working at Houston Methodist Clear Lake Hospital for nine years, driving from Texas City, Texas, working 12 to 14 hours a shift. It was so hard. I decided to move closer to work and then went through a very hard break up. Griselda, was so friendly and welcoming and made me feel as though everything was going to work out. She was right. I did have some rough nights but, living at Village on the Lake actually helped me through too. The property is so beautiful, with lots of beautiful palm trees and oak trees, my seven year old grandson described as a rainforest. I think the same. The beautiful pools overlooking Clear Lake are absolutely stunning. At night, I would walk to pool just to look out over the water to see all the beautiful lights. It is like living somewhere in the tropics. The gym has been a life saver. It has helped me maintain my physical health and has made me stronger. Im almost in tears writing this, because it is all true. I enjoy all the variety of restraunts available to my single life as well as for my children and grandchildren, when they visit. I have met so many new and lovely friends here on the property and in the community. I became a member of NASA space Center and now volunteer for food bank donations and meals on wheels in the community. I am so happy and cannot wait to see what the future holds. I want to thank Griselda for helping me and giving me the courage to continue to work hard and be successful.

    I’ve been impressed with the professionalism of the staff and maintenance here. Staff is courteous and attentive to your individual needs. Been living here for a lot of years now and the maintenance crew is spot on and quickly deal with whatever issues I’ve had and it has not been many.     We have lived at Village on the Lake for 4 years. We are building a house and will be moving soon. We have never had any problems with maintenance, management or neighbors. They keep the property very clean and they are visible throughout the property, very often. Although some residents throw their trash outside the garbage containers, the grounds crew has it picked up and swept by the time I leave for work at 6:30am. We have utilized the workout rooms, pools, and party rooms and have never been disappointed. I would, and have, recommend Village on the Lake to anyone wanting a nice, friendly and professional apartment property.

    Great apartment complex, with all 3 pools being a great resource. The heated lap swim pool is awesome on cold days for relaxing. The apartments are perfect with great carpeting, updated cabinets and appliances. Very quiet and relaxed atmosphere, and also very safe. Negates: The remotes for the gate never work, so expect having trouble getting in. Switching out remotes cost $50 dollars, that they expect the renter to pay. A couple of the leasing staff can be seen as not being very receptive or helpful. The trash compactor has piles of trash in front of it in the morning. But I cant blame them, the raccoons guard the trash compactor. Overall a great experience, and it has made my wife and I very comfortable. I would highly recommend this complex.

    Moved in a few weeks ago and have no complaints. The complex, even with its size is quiet and well kept. All the neighbors and staff are friendly. Ive had one after-hours maintenance issue already and they responded and rectified the problem quickly. If youre considering moving here, see Michael in the office. Hes great at what he does, great person to deal with and goes above and beyond to make the move into your new home as smooth as possible!

    I could never complain about this community, we love this place. Weve been living here for 2 years and I have no complaints. The management are all great. Lori, the manager, Griselda, the assistant manager, Michael, Josh, Molly, and Heather have all been exceptional. Since I was discharged from the military in 2010 Ive lived in four different apartment complexes. This is by far the best all the way around!

    Been here almost a year now, moving out to Pearland for work or else I would be staying. There is a park on the water WITHIN the complex, its awesome if you have a dog or enjoy watching birds or the occasional alligator. You can fish right off the bulkhead with live shrimp and 90 percent of the time, you will catch something. The maintenance crew has fixed any issue within 24 hours, cant be any better than that. As for racoons and rodents, I have a dog so he takes care of the pests. The people here, the neighbors are what make this place a great community. Ive enjoyed my time here and Im very greateful to have met so many wonderful residents here. God Bless

    We have lived at Village on the Lake for almost a year now and it has been a great experience. The grounds are always beautifully maintained and the staff is just plain awesome. Any service orders we have had have been promptly taken care of. We have really enjoyed the infinity pool overlooking the lake and can even see the Kemah fireworks from there!     Ive lived at Village on the Lake for three years. I love my experience here from the gyms to walking around the scenic, well-kept grounds with my yellow labrador. The private, quiet apartment complex is full of great, friendly residents that look out for one another. On one dog walk, my phone fell out of my pocket and a resident turned it into the office because it looked like it was going to rain. I was so thankful that mystery resident helped me out. The office staff: Lori, Griscelda, Morgan, Heather, and Michael are very responsive and run the office efficiently. Luis, who completes endless maintenance jobs keeping all of the apartments looking marvelous, goes above and beyond to say hello and laughs with me every time I see him while walking my dog. Village on the Lake really is a village, beginning with the office staff to the residents, to the beautiful lake. I would not want to live anywhere else during this apartment living phase of my life. I feel very lucky to have found this village, as a first time Texan.

    Griselda is really friendly and I appreciated her working with me to get my lease started and with closing out my lease. The maintenance staff here had really great response times to any requests that I filled. I had no issues with my apartment, and never had to worry knowing the staff here was so helpful. I would recommend VotL to anyone moving to the area. My only minor gripes with VotL are 1)the amount of parking spaces is pretty limited, so if anyone is having guest over, you may have to park pretty far away from your apartment 2) no dog park (it would be awesome if they had one)

    I am a resident of Village on the Lake. I LOVE this beautiful resort-like waterfront community! The location is perfect for me and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful Oasis. This community works very well for me since it is midway between downtown Houston and downtown Galveston. I am a huge Southwest Airlines patron so being close to Hobby Airport is especially convenient for both personal and business travel. Every time I think about moving, I talk myself out of it.Lori Dillon is the manager of Village on the Lake. She and her staff do an amazing job. Heather and Michael are my favorite leasing agents who work closely with Lori. The maintenance staff, especially Luis, Ramsey and Eric, are always willing to help in both routine and emergency situations.

    My wife and I moved in about a week ago. We are absolutely in love with this place. Every person weve been in contact with has been friendly, helpful, and kind. Its like living at an apartment complex run entirely by former Chik-Fil-A employees. The grounds are beautiful, clean, and well maintained. The apartment itself is wonderful and roomy. The garage is big enough for our small car and a workshop for me. Molly has been working with us from the beginning and has been nothing but helpful and giving. Josh and Michael both stepped in various times and the three work seamlessly together to make you comfortable and happy. We give this place our highest recommendation.

    I have been living here for 1.5 years. In our 1st visit, we were greeted by a very courteous leasing lady. She showed us a few available apartments. We selected one with a lake view. The rent in here may be higher than other apartment, but I think it is worth it if you want quality living space. When we moved in, all the carpets, wall paint, appliances were new. I like swimming and there are 3 very nice pools in the Complex. I swam in the heated pool last winter a few times and the heater was on. I love the pool next to the lake. The view is gorgeous. We watched the Kemah Firday night fire work in the pool a few times.The pools are well kept and there are plenty of lounge chairs next to the pool for us to use. The Club house is well furnished and well kept. The exercise room has 4 trend mills and 3 elliptical stepping machines. The residents in here are very friendly. I am enjoying my stay here.

    This is an amazing property. I lived here for over 2 years and it certainly become home to me.Maintenance was always prompt and friendly and the office staff was generally pleasant. For those that enjoy the outdoors, this property shares a lake with the West Mansion and shares a border with a wildlife reserve.The property also has 3 pools, a putting green and fitness center. Sure, they sometimes have raccoon issues but that is bound to happen when surrounded by so much nature.I will also add that I received my full deposit when I moved out.

    Meticulous people rejoice! Shopping for apartments reminded me that VOTL is an admirable community in the area. I will be renewing my lease for the second time soon.All staff is very professional, the grounds are always impressively clean (seriously, the landscaping coordinator must have OCD or something,) maintenance is super-fast, utilities are very reasonable compared to other places, and summers here are great!Neighbors are friendly and there is a small fitness community within the complex to keep you on top of your game.There is no trash pickup service and parking can be crowded on weekend nights but other places have worse arrangements. When I have visitors I’m guaranteed a compliment on how beautiful the property and apartment is. There are lower rates in the area if you are willing to compromise but if I left my cozy home here I would miss the good friends I’ve made as well as the amenities.Overall, the place is well worth the stay.

    I can not say enough about how great living at Village on the Lake has been. It has been about 2 and a half years since I have lived here and leaving is one of the hardest things Ive had to do! The only reason I am moving is to be closer to my job. With that being said, I have already moved to my new place and can list things that Village on the Lake will spoil you with.1. COMMUNICATION - anytime and every time I called, the phone was answered. They attended to questions I had, service request (if any) that day or the next. They also get to know there residents! Lori, the property manager, is very easy to talk to and is very informative and helpful, as well as Michael, Heather....heck everyone that works there! Also, the maintenance guys are hard workers and are the nicest people.2. CONVENIENCE - talk about being right in the middle of everything. I already miss being close to the awesome bars on the water, one being Cabo, as well as being close to Kemah, Baybrook, and only being half an hour to the beach or city. Village on the Lake not only has amazing views, but also has great accessibility to prime locations. For the views, my apartment didnt look out towards the water it looked out towards NASA and every evening I would see several deer over the fence. It was perfect!3. COMMUNITY - Village on the Lake works hard to ensure resident safety. The community is gated and the residents communicate with each other as well! I knew everyone on my floor and they were all very personable. I would meet new people every time I worked out or went to one of the three pools.If you dont move here, you will be making a huge mistake. I have been at my new place for a week and already realize things that I took for granted when I lived there. Thank you Village on the Lake for a great 2 and a half years and being the best! I miss calling this place home, but Ill be back to visit!

This complex is beautiful and feels like coming home to a vacation everyday after work. The staff was friendly and helpful in coordinating my move.     Wonderful luxury living apartments in the Clear Lake area. Very well maintained, security gates, clean, SAFE and repairs are done ASAP. Beautiful pool overlooks the lake.     This has been a really good place to live. I have had no issues with the staff/management. Any maintenance issues are always fixed extremely fast, most same day when it was reported. Rent is really high, but what you get in return in convenience/quiet place/pool/gym/nice landscaping/not near any businesses or other apartments makes up for it in my mind. The raccoons/opossums are bad near the dumpster, so avoid those and walking near the trees at night. If you look at the reviews, a lot of the bad reviews are from people who didnt even move in and just had issues upfront. You get assigned parking, and if someone parks in your spot after office hours, do not expect them to be towed. Its happened to me a few times, and they are always still there the next morning. This probably happens two times a year, definitely not a common occurrence. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

    Great Place to live in South Houston. The staff working in this community are excellent and you can feel home from the moment you walk in the leasing office and inquire about living in this community. For any details that needs attention, the staff are responsive and make sure that everything is solved and worked at your satisfaction. On a trip I lost the entire set of keys one time, and after I got in a Taxi at IAH, and called the office for help to open the door when I arrived home, the maintenance people were at my door to help me out, and this was in a Sunday evening at 11PM. Always will remember to stop by and greet the rest of the staff when I have a chance.

    We really have some of the best maintenance personnel here. There’s a lady on the team - she’s always so nice and has a smile on her face even though people never seem to put their trash in the actual trash bin.The maintenance men are also super nice! I’ve never had a bad experience!

    Village on the Lake is a great property with nice pools and views. It is right in the heart of the NASA area and convenient to shopping and restaurants.The staff is great! They are very nice and very responsive. They were great about any requests that I had and always had a sense of urgency!

    Ive lived here for almost a year and my experience has been great. The staff is always helpful, especially Mike and Griselda. Maintenance is readily on hand when needed. Ive been really lucky with very nice neighbors. Awesome location - close to restaurants, shopping, NASA, & Kemah Boardwalk.

    I had read a few of the reviews on several web sites that indicated this complex had really fallen in quality since I last lived there in 2002. So, when I retuned to Houston this past August for another short time assignment I ruled this property out. However, after visiting several complexes around the area I could not find one that really appealed to me in terms of value, ammenities, access, and clientele. So I decided to visit Village on the Lake,VOTL, albeit reluctantly.From the minute I walked through the office door I was convinced that the negative reviews I had read were posted by individuals who probably are rarely satisfied with anything in life. I was greeted immediately and cordially by every member of the staff. I cannot count the number of times I was asked if I would like something to drink. The sales agent, Morgan, who assisted me was extremely knowledgable and helpful. She worked with me to find just the right apartment in terms of location and availability. When the utility company had questions about establishing the service she dealt with them directly on my behalf. When I found a few minor issues during the initial inspection, she had them repaired within an hour and when I called her back to tell her I missed a few items she had them corrected again within an hour.As for the comment from one reviewer about the walls being paper thin, I did not find this to be true. My apartment is very quiet. Yes I do hear footsteps once in awhile but it is a multi unit living facility and people do make noise from time to time.You might expect this level of service that I have experienced at VOTL to fall off once the lease was signed, but even after I moved in the office staff continues to be exceptionally friendly and the Manager always make a point to say hello and ask if there is anything they can do to make my living experience better at VOTL. So my message to you if you are looking for a really nice place to live with excellent facilities, a peaceful setting with stellar property management you owe to yourself to visit this property. Rest assured you will not be disappointed.

    My husband and I lived here for 2 years (2014-2016l) in Phase 2 third floor and we enjoyed our stay here for the most part. The two major cons were racoons in the attic semi often and the trash compactor constantly being too full. The only thing that made the racoon situation okay is that maintenance was quick to trap and remove them even late at night. The pools were great, the location was nice, the unit was nice, and the staff was okay. We left to try the city, then we got a house, but I definitley would recommend this place.

    My wife and I will be moving in at the end of the month (July 2017) and couldnt be more excited. Weve been working with Josh, who has been a great resource and reliable agent despite being fairly new to the property. Were moving from CA, where weve spent much more to get less than what were getting at this apartment, and were so grateful to have found it.

    This is by far the best apartment complex I have lived in. It is well kept, maintenance and staff are very attentive to needs and I have never waited more than a day for a response. I will definitely be renewing my lease here until I buy a house in a few years. Thanks to Heather for helping me find somewhere to call home and truly enjoy living in.

    Happy with staff and amenities. High end luxury: gated community with in unit washer and dryer, double sinks in master au suite bathroom, plenty of room with crown molding, beautiful grounds as if in Caribbean, balconies overlooking either Clear Lake to watch the boats or bayou preserve to watch the deer; 3 pools, two large fitness centers, garages with remotes, quick maintenance service and wonderful staff knows you by name!

    This is the most beautiful place to lease in the Clear Lake Area. The best location behind the famous Space Center/NASA and 8 minutes away from the Kemah Boardwalk. I found it on the Internet when I first move from Puerto Rico to Houston, TX and I was so blessed to have the opportunity to live here almost 2 years. I lived in a beautiful 2 bedroom apartment with a view to the Forest. It was so peaceful. This is real luxury apartment living. The staff is incredible. Thank you Griselda, Lori, Erick, José and Michael for everything you have done for my family. We will miss you all.

    Love it here! Only have been here a couple months, but the view and landscape is just beautiful with all the palm trees. My view is right over the pool, which is heated 24 hours btw!! And I even had a friend lose an expensive watch down by the pool, I called the front office and they had it!!! Maintnance had found it and turned it in! Everyone in the office has been exceedingly helpful and is always available when I need something. I am glad that moving here from Oklahoma for business without any knowledge of the area, that I came across and chose Village on the lake :)

    Would not have moved if it wasnt for Molly McCutcheon. I was able to coordinate everything while living in Florida. She showed me the apartment via zoom and guided me through the entire process. Once i landed in Houston, all that remained to be done was the walkthrough. In 30 minutes i had the keys to the apartment. I was impressed with the place too.

    The best place to live in the Bay Area. The grounds and pools are beautiful and the staff is fantastic, especially Michael Bloodworth who works in the office. All the maintenance crew employees are so polite and they fix everything in a timely manner. I love it here!

    I live at VOTL in Phase-1 overlooking the infinity pool and bay. Each morning at 6am I walk down to the water front with two small dogs and as I drink my coffee I watch the sun rise over the bay, it’s a beautiful view. Over the last 3 years I’ve come to know many of the sales people in the front office and a few persons who maintain the property and perform maintenance. As with any rental property or private home, property maintenance is expected and when I’ve needed maintenance done at my apartment the work was performed promptly and with quality by the VOTL team. I’ve always had a good experience from the VOTL office team doing what they say they’ll do! Now about the property grounds; the Porters keep the outside building areas, corridors, surrounding grounds, and pool areas very clean – you’ll see the VOTL Porters throughout the day performing their tasks. Lawn care is regularly performed and kept manicured. Parking is not an issue for me because I have garage parking. Overall, my experience with this VOTL staff is very positive as is the many tenants I’ve got to know and it’s why I’ve renewed my lease. All the best to the VOTL Team!

    Where do I start ?? I would have to start with the person that I first came in contact with during my initial application. His name is Joshua Allen! This guy is simply AMAZING!!As a registered nurse that is employed as a Director of Nurses ... I am VERY big on customer service.Hands down... Josh has this perfected.He returned calls, answered emails, gave very precise details on the property/very knowledgeable!I had NO PROBLEM/Hesitation in wanting for my fiancé and I to live here. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and soooo many amenities!! We have not moved in yet BUT SO EXCITED!!!!Josh thank you for making our decision and transition VERY PLEASANT!!!

    I have lived at Village on the Lake (VOTL) for over 6 years. Prior to that I lived in The Voyager in Nassau Bay. My experience at the Voyager was not good. My experience at VOTL has been very positive. While it has not been without minor challenges (it is an apt.), yet each and every one of these minor challenges were promptly addressed by the great people from the VOTL Leasing office and Maintenace staff. The staff at VOTL is what makes the difference between a good Apt. complex and a GREAT Apt. complex. If anyone is looking for a nice Apt. with personable and responsive Mangement staff who work hard to make you feel like you matter, than VOTL should be at the top of your list
