I have lived here for three years and am very happy that I found such a great apartment complex. The management office and maintenance crew are by far the best I have ever experienced. The office personnel is so welcoming, knowledgeable and always go out of their way to help me!!! The maintenance crew is exceptional!!! They will respond to my request to have anything repaired, replaced etc within the same day or next day at the latest. They are very respectful and clean up after they complete the work order. The maintenance of the grounds is also quiteexcellent. I would definitely recommend the Avery to anyone. It’s a great place to live!!!

Lived here 2023 to 2024. By far this is the best apartment I have ever lived in. The community is clean at all times, beautiful 2 pools, gym office staff are extremely professional, responsive and helpful. The office hosts and celebrate holidays with residents including complimentary food, drinks and more. Its close to all shops everything.The only reason I am moving is because I recently got a job that is an hour away if not, the Avery would be my permanent home until I purchased my house. I will miss this beautiful quiet community 😭😢😢

The Avery is an amazing place to live! Im so surprised that they dont have more stars. I just renewed my lease for the 4th time. No complex is going to be perfect but the central location of the Avery is awesome. Youre close to major highways, can walk to a target, and are just a couple miles from White Rock Lake. The buildings arent all brand new but the units dont feel outdated at all. Mine was move-in ready and felt new. The office staff is great, especially Jamie and Aixsia. Lets face it...theyre in a role where they often have to serve as the messenger. Theyre always responsive and patient with me if I feel frustrated. For example, the ellipticals in the gym get a little off balance from time to time due to frequent use. The Avery staff is always quick to remedy that when I reach out. I love the amenities like the gym and the pool. They Avery switched their security company a little while ago and I think theyve done a good job being more present. Dallas is a big city, so there is going to be crime. Id rather have a gated complex that works most of the time then not have that security measure in place. Since I dont live on the first floor, the trash concierge is amazing. They never miss a night! I do think that theres a little room for growth when it comes to managing pet noise. They are great about letting tenants know when there is excessive barking but it can be a challenge to pinpoint exactly which unit it is sometimes. Im just glad that they at least acknowledge the concerns. I would highly recommend becoming part of the Avery community!

The Avery on Southwestern has been amazing. Everyone has been very friendly and helpful. The pools stay clean and welcoming. The maintenance staff have all been very attentive whenever anything is needed big or small. You can tell the staff care for the community. Aixsia was the first person I spoke to when moving to the apartments and has been very sweet and helpful since day 1. If you need anything shes the one to ask! I would easily recommend these apartments to any of my friends and family.

I want to preface this review by saying my 2 years living here at The Avery has been great. Maintenance has been friendly and has always responded quickly to my previous water and plumbing issues. Unfortunately today my experience has changed. A month or 2 ago I discovered what looked to be mold in my cabinet. I scrubbed it with bleach and removed what I could see. Checking again, last night the mold that I removed had returned. I’ve been experiencing headaches and sinus issues and decided to do more digging. After pulling the stove forward I discovered mold covering the floor underneath. As soon as the leasing office opened, I walked down there to address what I had found. Aixsia, who was VERY HELPFUL walked me through the next steps of reporting the mold AND showed concern for my health. Before we could finish, the community manager Jamie came over. Taking one quick look at my photos said that it looks to be just discoloration and not mold. Then she stated maitenance would come by and fix it. How does one “FIX MOLD”. With having less than 3 months left in my lease and my headaches worsening daily, I would really just like to put these apartments behind me. Being that I already notified that I would not be continuing my lease here you can only imagine my frustration when Jaime told me that one does not just “break lease” for discoloration. Because I am now worried that maintenance will just cover up any evidence of mold, I am now looking at a possible $950 bill to prove it myself. I hate that my only option seems to be $950 out my pocket or living with mold for almost another 3 months. I am more than dissatisfied with Jaime not even trying to work with me in this situation. Not too mention how many times I’ve submitted work orders for water and plumbing issues.Update!I want to thank Jaime and the rest of the maintenance team for their timely response to this matter. While there was no mold testing done, I have not seen a return of the possible “discoloration”. The odor that was coming from the cabinets has also disappeared with the cleaning and removing of the possible “discoloration”. They also went above and beyond to fix all other issues in my apartment within their visit. I am also grateful for the professional member of their cleaning team who cleaned up afterwards. Not only did Jaime visit me herself, she continued to follow up and check on my well being. She truly showed that she does care about me as a resident.P.S. I can say my headaches have become more infrequent too. The location is great and the community is very active. I’m glad I can end my 2 year journey with The Avery on a positive note.

The Avery is awesome. Pedro has been a huge help getting my roommate and I settled in. He even helped me mount my TV!The original unit we signed was suboptimal. However, the Avery was very accommodating when we addressed the issue and moved us to an upgraded unit in just a few days.

My experience at the Avery has been excellent. The entire team is very professional, kind, and communicative. The maintenance team is A++++, they complete work orders in a timely manner and always leave a note that they entered, and explaining what the issue was and how they fixed it.The leasing team including Pedro and Aixsia are wonderful, and always eager and ready to help if you ever have any questions. Property Manager Jamie is very communicative to all of the residents and has assisted me in a very timely manner for any questions I have had, so definitely a huge thank you to her!I just recently renewed for another year here at the Avery and am excited to continue my residency here. If you are looking for an apartment in this neighborhood, do not look elsewhere - The Avery will not disappoint.

I’ve been at the Avery for almost 2 years now, and in less than a month my time there will be coming to a bittersweet end. I’m moving overseas, and I won’t be back anytime soon.Before landing at the Avery, I was just across the street at Upper East Side. My good friends Dan & Anna Bryant were leading the CARES team at the Avery at the time, and I found myself attending more of their events than I had in my own complex. During one of their events, they pitched me on moving there, and within a couple of months I did just that; Couldn’t have been happier with my decision. Not only was the community there much more tight-knit, I went from living in a one bedroom to a spacious two bedroom, and was paying $200 less a month. Yes please.The Avery feels more like a commune than an apartment complex. Everyone there is willing to give you the shirt off their back. They have a Facebook group that’s great for keeping tabs on what’s happening in the area, but also helpful when your car’s in need of a jump. Literally, within minutes of residents asking for help, multiple people jump in to help out. It’s fantastic.Couldn’t say enough great things about the place. If you’re looking to move to the area, look no further. You’re gonna love it here!

My wife and I have really enjoyed living at The Avery for 4 years. This place has TWO luxury pools! There are fun events hosts here on a regular basis that keep us engaged with our community and the location is really great, maintenance requests get handled quickly, lot of parking spaces, Jamie Lynch (community manager) is amazing, the staff absolutely loved, the only person with attitude and not helping is Vanessa Carpio (Assistant Manager).

We’ve lived here for a week now and have LOVED it! We started the leasing process almost 2 months ago and the process has been as smooth as can be.The apartment is bright and renovated. The pools are amazing and the gym has all the basic equipment you need. The valet trash is amazing (because we’re on the 3rd floor) and we love that the property is always clean. There isn’t a better place in Dallas to live for the price.Aixsia is very friendly, knowledgeable, and prompt. Anytime we’ve ever had questions she gets back to us in less than 24 hours. If it weren’t for her we may have signed somewhere else, but because she made us feel at home we signed the lease the same day as the tour!

Everything about living here has been perfect! My fiance, our cat, and I moved here from across the country. We toured in person about three weeks before we planned to move. We arrived four hours before our scheduled appointment and were given the absolute sweetest tour, information, and personal attention from Shai with no wait.Move in day was very smooth; I honestly was shocked at how clean our apartment was when we moved in. The best selling point of these apartment is how quiet they are! Im pretty sure the walls are solid concrete. I cannot hear any outside noise in our apartment. The pools are always clean. I feel very safe here, which was our biggest concern moving here from out of state.We had some small bumps with our new jobs income being approved, but were communicated with well and kept in touch multiple times a day. We had some spring time ants in our apartment but pest control comes every Thursday and you can elect to have them to spray in your place. A part in our AC broke and was replaced in under 12 hours after putting in an online request. We reported a broken door stop on our move-in inspection and it was replaced. All that to say every problem we have had has been easily resolved in 24 hours or less.All the front desk staff is very sweet, Shai was our savior with our move! I would highly recommend living here for the staff, the location, the amenities, and the price.

My experience at The Avery was great. Apartments are very well maintained, really responsive stuff. The leasing office people are great and really go above and beyond to satisfy tenants needs. Shey and Ashley were very helpful and friendly. Amenities are great and well kept. The only minus is the common areas close at 6pm together with office. Moving out was the easiest in my life, no stress with no issues. I would definitely recommend this complex!

I have had a wonderful experience living at The Avery. While living here, I have utilized the work out room and pool frequently. I have no complaints about these facilities, but have only enjoyed them and taken advantage of them. The staff is kind and helpful. If I have needed anything from the maintenance staff, they have quickly assisted and gave excellent and professional help. I have enjoyed the community aspect of living at the Avery as provided by the Cares Team which coordinates monthly events of games, free food, and activities.

Shai is a excellent and beautiful hostess. Shes kindhearted, respectful and positive. She greets you with the sweetest smile that makes you feel like this place is your home! My initial experience started off with Shai giving a graceful tour of the apartments. She showed me 2 of pools and the gym. Shai even beat me in a pull-up competition! Next she informed me of the local food spot who knew that Cava (my favorite restaurant) was so close! Next Shai gave me a tour of the inside of a unit which was wonderful ! Shai is the best thing to happen to the Avery !

We have been living at The Avery for about 2 months and I cant think of one single complaint!! Its a very well kept, clean apartment complex with tons of amenities. Every staff member I have communicated with is very friendly. It is very pet friendly which is a plus for us seeing as we have a golden retriever! We have had to put in a request or two because of problems with our AC and maintenance arrives that same day or the following day (depending if its the weekend) and are always friendly and helpful! Its a truly a great place to live!

Maintenance was typically pretty quick to resolve issues, the office staff was friendly when I had an issue and noise was rarely ever an issue with residents. I also loved that the office staff starting making strides to connect residents and make them feel more welcomed with goodies and event night. I would definitely live here again if I had the chance.

I have lived at the Avery since May of 2013, and I have been very pleased with my stay. It is a safe and clean environment, and for a single woman that is a really big deal. I have been pleasantly surprised by the friendly staff and maintenance people. They really do care and take a great deal of time to get to know you personally. The CARES team is a great addition and I like knowing that they are around if I ever need anything. Overall I love living here and dont have any plans of moving!

The only downside was the last year of living there they began construction to update the exterior of the buildings and the construction cut into a lot of the free parking options. It also brought a lot of noise with it. Overall I enjoyed living here and would recommend it to anyone looking to live in the Dallas area.

I have lived at The Avery for almost two years. While we have changed Management several times, we now fall under Lincoln, and I think they have done a great job. Staff are courteous and helpful, and maintenance is quick and thorough. The pools are nice and well-kept. We also have package lockers, which are very convenient - package deliveries are left in lockers rather than dropped by your door or left in the leasing office (so you can pick them up any time rather than just during office hours). We have resident events that often include free food and drinks. I have always found parking somewhat near my building. Noise level overall is definitely manageable, and other residents are typically kind and respectful of one another. Its a great place overall!

The Avery has been awesome for the most part this year. The staff is super responsive and helpful in any way they can be. They’ve made improvements to the gym and other common areas. Some downfalls are the package lockers often get to full and you end up having track your packages down. You can’t depend on the gates to be closed. Sometimes they work sometimes they don’t. But overall my experience has been pretty good.

Amazing faculty and staff. Helpful and informative. Wanted to look into downsizing mid lease from a 2 bed to a 1 bed and Aixsia responded with a list of vacant apartments with move in dates, available move in dates, cost, amenity difference and the whole 9. Also, during a moment of being handicapped (Achilles tear) she assisted with getting my mail on a weekly basis since I couldn’t go to the mailroom from the 3rd floor. Every time you call up to the front they answer within 2 rings and always sound patient yet enthusiastic. Consider this place, not just because of the amenities but, also for the amazing customer service. Hopefully Aixsia stays awhile. She has great communication and interpersonal skills.

I cant say enough good things about The Avery! I lived there from May 2018-July 2020 and absolutely loved it. Like others have mentioned, I had many issues with the old management company but since Greystar took over, things have been smooth sailing. The office staff is so friendly and accommodating, maintenance responds very quickly, valet trash pickup is EVERY night (which is so hard to find) and the property itself is beautiful. The residents are also fairly quiet -- mostly young professionals and small families. And its so close to different parks, grocery stores, shopping, restaurants, White Rock Lake and so much more! If my job wasnt so far away, I wouldve stayed at The Avery much longer. Highly recommend!

The Avery is a great community to live in. Great location, good amenities such as pools, gym, coffe machine, etc. Our apartment faces the parking lot, so it is very calm spot. Security has been improved a lot with new administration. The only thing to complain about is the corridor cleaning, which is always dirty without a good impression for visitors.

I have been looking to move for months and I drove my The Avery on a Sunday and said that I would check them out on Monday. I came in that afternoon and got to speak with Shai. She was so great! She wanted to know my pros and cons of what I was looking for. That was the first time I had been asked that. She went over everything and then she took me on the grand tour. Just amazing! She answered all of my questions and got answers for the ones she was unsure about. I knew this is where I needed to be. We signed within 2 days and Im so excited about moving in. Shai has continued to answer my emails and calls to get us ready for our move in . Im so glad I didnt go somewhere else. Thank you Shai for making this process easy!

If you are looking at Apartments in Dallas, definitely consider The Avery!The location is awesome, and the price is great considering all that you get.I will be very honest in admitting that when we first moved in (2018) the previous management was terrible, and we have several problems with them. HOWEVER, since the change in management we have had zero issues! The new staff is awesome, and very responsive. Definitely give this place a look when apartment hunting.

Weve been at the Avery for a year now, and as everyone knows, no apartment community is perfect. With that said, Ive seen the management take huge strides to improve the experience here for me and my wife and weve been really pleased.The maintenance team is awesome. In the summer I never want to leave the pools on the weekends. The management are making a lot of great updates to apartments for new residents like hardwood floors for the first floor apartments, upgraded mosaic back-splashes, and other amenities.The location is pretty central to a lot of things - 7 minutes from lower Greenville Avenue, 5 minutes from White Rock Lake, not too far from SMU too. We have a good mix of residents here, a lot of people are in their 20s and 30s.If you want a balance of living in a nice community thats gated, has a resort-style feel, but you dont want to pay as much as you would in uptown then Id check out The Avery.The Avery also does a lot of resident events each month to get to know neighbors and staff with free food and drinks. Its always a nice surprise when I forget theyre doing an event and then I come home and theyre throwing a party in the clubhouse with pizza and beer, etc.

Rough start moving in here about a year ago but under new management with Lincoln, things have really gotten better! My roommate and I moved in when there were a string of roberries and break-ins, but security is tons better now. I feel safe living here, and I’ve had a blast. I’ve met some really great residents! Love the maintenance people who have helped us several times. I love the pool community as well as dog park community as well. The residents Facebook page is also helpful. We moved to the Avery almost a month ago and have loved our experience. Dan and Anna, the CARES team, have put on several wonderful events already and it is so easy to meet new people. James, in the office, was fantastic during our process of finding and settling on the Avery from Pittsburgh, PA and was more than accommodating to help us feel at ease during the process since we were not able to be in Dallas. We love the convenience of the location and having the pools to go to on these hot summer days. Overall, this is the best apartment finding and moving experience I have ever had.

Upon requesting a tour I was greeted by a magnificent young woman named Shai, let me tell you; she took care of all the questions I had, showed me around the entire property in a timely fashion, and even entertained my 2 year old daughter the entire time. She definitely made touring the property simple and painless. Seeing as it was her first week or so at the position, I believe she had more than adequate knowledge of everything necessary for a would-be tenant to know. Thanks Shai! Excited to move to the Avery! The team here is very professional and always picked up the phone whenever I have had a question. Coming from out of state and never have been to Dallas, the team made me feel confident in signing and addressed all of my concerns over phone and email. Kelly Flowers, Emily York, and Liz Vega have been there for every step and have made a cross state move stress free. They went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and even allowed me to view a vacant unit so I could be confident in my decision. I highly recommend giving the Avery on southwestern a look and having a chat with this great team!

Honestly cant complain. The leasing office has always been excellent and responsive and the maintenance team is always so fast when I put a work order in. They are doing a lot of rejuvenating to the property but it doesnt bother me, its looking great! I renewed my lease just this morning!

My wife and i have be at the Avery for over 2 years now. We moved in when it first opened and have loved it ever since. Management is great and the over all appearance hasnt changed since we first moved in. Also there hasnt been one time since I have moved into the apartments that I havent felt safe. It is a young, college filled complex and everyone seems to look after each other. In my opinion safety is not an issue at all.If you are looking for a newer, safe and fun apartment I would definitely recommend The Avery. Please keep in mind, it is an APARTMENT...so yes the walls will be thin and you will on the occasion hear your neighbors...I know this may come as a shock. Also, the trash bends will become full by the end of the weekend, we are a consuming nation and with that comes waste.To be completely honest, you get what you pay for and much, much more.

I moved in a little over a month ago. With the help of Shai, the move in process was seamless! She gave me a tour of the complex. During the tour, Shai was so welcoming and friendly. She had an answer to every question we asked. After moving in, she is still just as welcoming. I love living here, and it’s all thanks to Shai!

UpdatedLiving here more than a year now. This apartment located in the heart of Dallas, neighbors are nice, and excellent maintenance. Its considered as a better apartment. Its not a bed of roses but overall I recommend this housing for everyone.When I moved in there were many issues needed to be fixed. The odor in the kitchen is always unpleasant. Some interior design was torn apart or missing. Thankfully, maintenance took prompt action to fix up all the issues. But the complex is now transferred to Greystar. During the transition, both Lincoln and Greystar have many things messed up unprofessionally.After Greystar took over, maintenance has slow down a big time (2weeks+ plus multiple times requests) and the complex is not as clean as before. I will come back to modify if they improve management.

My experience with the new management team has been great. Maiya and Carrington are both friendly, patient, and is always going the extra mile, no lie. The manager of the property is also accommodating and understands the needs of the residents more than you would expect. So far, so good here at the Avery!

I would give the Avery a 5! Theyve been very accommodating and are pretty responsible with the services they provide. Weve had a nice stay here in the community. Aside from the thunderous beasts who live upstairs, it has been a great experience here. :) The Cares team has great events each month and the complex is kept very clean and inviting!

I highly recommend The Avery if you are looking for a place to stay. I have lived here for 2 years and am ending my lease due to having to work in a new location. First, Ill get the problems with the complex out of the way. While there are problems, I think they can be easily overlooked, and are all very common problems with any complex that can rarely be avoided.Cons/Annoyances:- Parking can be limited. Rarely you will have to park fairly far away from your apartment. This is only an issue if you regularly get home after 8 or 9pm.- Valet Trash. Every property has valet trash these days. Its annoying because its just an extra $20/month to spend. Many residents place trash in hallways outside of allowed hours, but it seems management is cracking down on this.-Street noise. Take note of where your unit is located. Mine is right next to an intersection and I constantly here honking, breaking, loud music, etc. I really dont mind this as Im used to living in a city, its just background noise to me.-Some parts of the apartment are somewhat cheap, but can be dealt with. Specifically, the blinds will tear off sometimes, and the faux wood laminate flooring can peel up. If these are actually a problem, management will probably help you replace whatever is causing a problem.Pros:- 2 beautiful, well kept pools with plenty of chairs and lounge areas.-Scary fast turn around on maintenance requests. I once had my garbage disposal fixed 2 hours after submitting a request.-Perfect location if you work in North Dallas. Plenty of places to eat & shop. Right next to the lake, you can bike there in 10 minutes easily.- The apartments look very up to date all around. Appliances are all relatively new.-Attentive management. If you have a problem, the office will address it and come to a solution with you. I have never been ignored.-Safe complex. This is an odd one for me, we did have a string of apartment break-ins last year. However, I was very impressed with how it was handled and since havent heard of any crime other than the occasional car break-in. Within days, officers were patrolling our complex, new cameras were installed around the complex, and an officer now regularly watches the main entry gate. You cant get much safer than that.

Living at The Avery has been awesome in every sense of the word. The CARES team, led by Dan and Anna Bryant, have done an outstanding job coordinating events to bring the community together. I utilize the gym and pool on a regular basis. Most of all, the convenient location has been superb. Everything is within walking distance!

Love living here so far! Neighbors are pretty quiet and friendly. Maintenance is super quick and efficient! We’ve only really met the leasing manager Carrington but he’s been extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The complex is clean and very nice!

Great apartment complex - Very friendly young-professional-type residents, beautiful surrounding environment a short run from White Rock Lake, and close enough to Greenville+Skillman+75 to get anywhere in Dallas quickly. New management was very helpful and recent rennovations make for a more luxurious feel lot-wide. The two pools always have a great crowd. Maintenence has been exceptional throughout my two years as a tenant. No complaints.

The location is great if you work in Dallas. Very close to Northpark, lower Greenville, Lakewood and White Rock Lake. The front office people were always nice and easy to work with. There is a great Cares team that puts on events like happy hours and sports watching parties.The kitchens lighting is rather dark so you may want to install some temporary lighting above the sink and under the cabinets. The third floor has low water pressure. You will have to put in a new shower head.

Suggestion would be guest parking spots toward the back of the property and leave the spots close to the buildings open for residents only. Other than that, everyone is very helpful and friendly!!
