I recently toured an apartment, and I was thoroughly impressed by both the space and the overall experience. From the moment I arrived, Adam was welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable, making me feel at ease throughout the process. The apartment itself was clean, spacious, and filled with natural light—exactly what I was hoping for. I was particularly impressed with the modern appliances and the thoughtful layout, which made it feel both functional and cozy. The building amenities, including the gym and community spaces, added an extra touch of convenience. The location was also ideal, with plenty of nearby restaurants, shops, and easy access to public transportation. Overall, it was a fantastic tour. We have lived here for almost 3 years and love it! Besides the amazing view, the apartments are great for the price. The staff is very friendly and attentive to the residents. Thanks so much to the awesome Apartment Life Team- They hold wonderful events in the community, such as holiday parties, wine & cheese, and midday fruit parfaits…. just to name a few. These events help us bond with neighbors and build family within the community.

If you are looking for an apartment that feels like a HOME but has the amenities of an apartment community, this is for you. From the arched entry ways, new appliances, LARGE balconies, and no carpet - all the way to the walkability. I walked a block to get my nails done and had dinner all within 200 feet of me! Everyone has a pup so if you are a dog lover, this is your place.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience touring this property! Le’ was incredibly helpful throughout the entire visit. The location is perfect—close to everything I need, from shopping and dining to public transportation. Even with all the nearby conveniences, the apartment is amazingly quiet, providing such a peaceful retreat after a busy day. Thank you so much, Le’, for making this process so smooth! A great location for young professionals!! The rooftop pool is open and a beautiful view of downtown! I saw the reviews of management and that must have been prior employees because the current team is nice, respectful, and always helpful. They listen and care about our experience. The maintenance team is always amazing and responsive! Very hardworking team at Ravello. I highly recommend the community, they even have fun events like wine nights and brunches to encourage organic community relationships.

I’ve been living her for two years and really happy about the new management team in the office. When I place service request the service team is there quickly. The events the Care’s Team host are really nice. I’ve meet some wonderful people from the events they host in the lobby. The location here in Uptown is great. I can walk to EVERYTHING and love it. My husband and I love to relax on the new rooftop pool.

We’ve been living here for about a month and really like it so far! Location is great, apartment is spacious and bright, and we haven’t had any issues.When picking up my furniture I ordered from the mail room, I had an employee, Michael, offer to help bring my packages from the mail room up to my apartment as they were quite heavy. Been living here for a year and love my apartment.The staff is wonderful especially Laila she’s amazing and so kind really helped me out!Yes there is construction but they will eventually finish. Really like that most of the walls have concrete so you dont hear your neighbors much.Beautiful clean finishes and will most likely renew.There is a price increase but everywhere also has increase and apartments arent renovated like these are.Maintenance and current staff are nice. Parking might be full at night but its parking and other places make you pay. Location is GREAT!!!

State Thomas Ravello is, in my opinion, one of the nicer apartment buildings I’ve lived in, and I really enjoy it. It’s a very diverse neighborhood, one that offers a wide variety of shops and restaurants—which is great because I don’t like to cook!Office staff is awesome, too. Kirsten and Nicole are always willing to help with any questions or issues, and both are extremely friendly and greet me with a smile. Housekeeping and Maintenance are on top of things, and I have no complaints about anything.I enjoy living here and look forward to all the new improvements being made. Is the new infinity pool ready? My floatie and I are!

I have had nothing but a positive experience moving into State Thomas Ravello .. The front office staff have been so helpful, kind and go above and beyond to help with any questions or issues I have had.. The new rooftop pool has the best views in Dallas and maintenance has been very responsive and attentive. The Location is within walking distance to the uptown trolley and many great attractions. I definitely give State Thomas Ravello 5 stars for excellent service, spacious layouts and location.

I lived here for two years! It was two of the best years I’ve had in Dallas! The staff is great, the location is great. They are always upgrading the property so it’s maintained on a constant basis. Our 6th floor one bed plus study is perfectly laid out. With work from home, the study offers a quiet area with plenty of room and a great view of the forest just below us. Tho we are not one of the new upgraded, older appliances have been replaced as needed. The office staff has been helpful from the start nearly 2 years ago. Having moved from our condo on the Lake Ray Hubbard to uptown where we had once owned a condo nearby, we knew what a great location we would have....We didnt expect the view over woods within a mile of downtown Big D to be so pleasing. The best part is the maintenance staff. They have been more than wonderful. No issue was too large or too small to be immediately taken care of. Their response to all calls was quickly and satisfactorily handled.The recent upgrades in the lobby and gym are terrific and appreciated. We are a retired ,very senior couple, that plan to stay for as far as we can see ahead.

In the 3 months Ive been here, Ive experienced--fast response times on maintenance issues--kind service from management--no problems with noise--very informative updates from front office regarding safety and regulations--and sufficient maintaining of the grounds common areas. During my stay, the staff has been quick to respond by phone and email. Finally, Ive loved the location. Uptown remains one of the greatest walkable areas of Dallas. For all of this, I give Ravello a perfect score.ITEMS TO NOTE:The parking garage does not provide much space to park or unload a large vehicle. If you are moving in (or coming home), be mindful of the narrow turns and reserved parking spaces. You may frequently have to park on a floor that isnt yours.Getting around the premises frequently requires the elevators. Because these get a lot of use, they occasionally are out-of-service. Be prepared to use the stairs.Allen, State and McKinney are all popular streets at night. Be mindful of the extra noise on weekends.The facility was built in 2000: If you like to exercise, the gym has outdated equipment and requires a refresh of workout pads, benches and weight adjustment pins. Otherwise, all things function normally. The guest bathrooms are nicely kept.

I have really enjoyed my time at this apartment complex! Move from Chicago and here for about six months and love the proximity to restaurant, bars and shopping spots! Definitely very Dallas. The staff is always so kind and maintenance has been quick although I’ve never had a big issue before.

Ive lived in two Gables Properties and have always been pleased. State Thomas Ravello staff made the application process easy and quick. The unit I rented is super nice: crown molding, arched dining room entry, high end appliances, nice finishes, granite countertops, and huge mirrors & a marble bathroom/shower area. Theres plenty of parking and the location is excellent--bars, restaurants, specialty food & wine stores, a gym, hair/nail salons, and a pharmacy---all within a few blocks. Love it here!

Pros:- State Thomas is an AMAZING neighborhood in Dallas;- the area is safe;- apartments are spacious and fairly updated;- the building and surrounding area are very pet-friendly.The social aspect of this building is great, we were made to feel REALLY welcome by the social manager’s Pollo & Polla. It’s not all 20-somethings like much of Uptown and we have made long term friends from the many events.- receiving packages is a really easy: they used to notify you if you have a package in the office, but stopped for some reason, but it’s still great to have someone there to accept your parcels and it’s something we will miss now we have moved out. We never lost a single parcel, so I’m confused about several people complaining about that happening.Danielle was always very helpful and friendly.Cons:-- $30/per month trash fee is a little annoying, not sure why people can’t just walk their trash to the chute.- small pool that loses sun by mid-afternoon; they really should do something with the rooftop of the parking garage, as it’s never use for parking. As pool and sun area would make this one of the best buildings in uptown due to its location.- the parking garage is super tight and you usually have to drive to the third or fourth floor to find an unreserved spot unless you’re home early. Also seems that many reserved spots are never used.On the whole I would very much recommend staying here. It’s not cheap but the location is unbeatable and you’ll make new friends if you make a little effort and go to the social events.

I lived at Ravello for two years and loved it. The apartment was well maintained and the office staff was super responsive as well as the maintenance team. The neighbors were friendly. There was a lot of diversity; families, young professionals, retirees and college students. The location is perfect! Walking distance or a quicker Uber ride to everything in Uptown. The community events were exceptional. I lived there for about 4 months before I built up the courage to attend one and from that day forward I felt like I was truly apart of a community. The Pollos (also residents) put in so much time and effort into coming up with fun events that everyone can enjoy. I lived on the first floor and was rarely woken up by noise in the court yard except for the occasional holiday weekend.The walls between units were concrete so I never heard my neighbors on either side or above us. The building might not be the shiniest or newest but the units are large, well maintained and my was renovated before moving in so was updated. Definitely recommend Ravello.

Stayed here for the best two years of my life. Walked to Starbucks all the time and took our dog to Griggs park. Also ran a few blocks to Katy trail for my runs. The spot is perfect and our apartment had brand new GE stainless appliances. My wife and I made such great friends thanks to their Ravello events. The value for our one BR w an office was amazing! Way better value for your money than some of the newer builds but the apartments are just as nice those. Garage was also not a prob. I got a space on my floor for cheap so I never walked far. We live in CA now but I’d def come back here if we were in Dallas again and highly recommend State Thomas Ravello to anyone moving here.

After living here for almost two years, I can say this has been one of the better apartment experiences I have had so far. With that being said, I am renewing for a third year. Ill highlight pros/cons belowPros:-Affordable. You wont be able to find 2 bedroom for under $2000 anywhere else in uptown-Solid construction. I RARELY hear my neighbors, and have never been notified of a noise complaint. The walls are solid concrete, none of the paper thin construction that some of the newer complexes have.-Location. You can be on the tollway, 75, 35, and 45 within 5-10 minutes. You can walk to whole foods, dry cleaners, bars, restaurants, etc.-Staff. The front office is usually very responsive to emails and/or calls. I have rarely had to follow up with them, but this was usually due to urgency of my question rather than them being slow to get back to me. I have primarily dealt with Megan, and she has been very responsive/transparent.-Floor plans/updates in the apartments. I had new stainless steel appliances as well as new carpet installed in my apartment back in 2017.-Resident portal. Complete visibility into rent, ability to view leasing documents and its pretty easy to submit maintenance request.-Billing. Accurate billing, havent had one hiccup of being overbilled...which was a common theme for other apartment complexes.Cons:-Parking garage. If you drive a rather large car, freshen up on your 3 point turns and parking. I have never had problems in the garage since I drive a compact SUV, but other drivers can be a little insane...as in speeding around corners/double parking/etc. Obviously nothing that management can do about this, but if you drive a large vehicle - you have been warned.-Valet trash. I understand the apartment has a contract with the valet trash company, but my apartment is literally 10 feet from the chute. The schedule to pick up trash is supposed to be in the evening during the week, but there have been instances of them not coming for several days in the row. Which is why I dont use this amenity anymore (however, it is required $30)-Pool. It does not get much sun, and its super small...but is usually quiet. This can be a pro/con, but just know that the pool is on the smaller side with minimal sun. It is nice though!-Packages. This is hit or miss. Packages can go to the office, the mailbox or your front door. Over the last 2 years I believe I have lost a few packages. I am not sure how management plans to address this, but it is to the point where I do not have family send expensive items for fear of them being lost or stolen. Again, not sure what management can do. Would love to see more cameras/security. I know other complexes have 24/7 self service package service. This would be the ideal situation as the hours in the office are not great for someone who travels for work.Lastly, when I toured the facility more than two years ago, I was told about a clubhouse on the top floor (prior management)...not that I signed here for that reason, but it was something I looked forward to. They are still using that selling point for new tenants. I hope that this materializes into something in the future, otherwise it is pretty questionable marketing to make promises like that.Id happily update this review if management is able to implement solutions to the few issues I have stated (more security, better package management, doing away with $30 for valet trash)If you are looking for a upscale apartment with the latest and greatest furnishings and appliances, I would look elsewhere. None of those were important to me, as I was focused on location/cost/convenience, and it is 10/10 on all of those categories for me. All of my friends who live in uptown pay a lot more $$ for less square footage.

I have lived here for about a month and I could not be happier. You truly get what you pay for in terms of updated quality appliances, concrete reinforced walls (so no noise from neighbors above or beside you), the location in Uptown with proximity to several restaurants, bars, coffee shops, parks, and the Katy Trail, a safe and secure parking deck and building, big spacious units and patios, and a responsive and friendly staff. I’m so happy I chose State Thomas Ravello and would recommend it to anyone!

I have lived here to two years, and just renewed my lease for a third. I have lived at multiple apartments in Uptown and this has been the best experience of them all. The staff is very helpful, and friendly. The location is great for walking to surrounding bars and restaurants.My only complaint is the pool area does not stay sunny all day. Due to the configuration of the pool and surrounding buildings, after 3 pm it is covered in shade.

The building in an amazing neighborhood right next to McKinney and all the bars. It sits of of Allen near a bunch of other apartments and townhomes so it feels slightly residential. The apartments themselves are pretty large and up-to-date. Its very pet friendly, and the leasing office staff are really nice. Danyelle gave us our tour originally and totally sold us on the place. Shes been really great helping with some questions weve had since signing too. The only cons of living here are the $30 valet trash fee, which is mandatory for all residents. The schedule for trash pickup is really inconvenient and its not difficult to just walk your trash to the trash chute on your floor. Also, the speed bumps in the parking garage are excessive and can really tear up your car if you dont crawl over them. However, overall I really recommend State Thomas Ravello for anyone. The pros far out weigh the cons.

I moved in this summer. The staff has been fantastic (especially Danyelle) and the unit itself has been great. I needed a few maintenance requests and they were fixed that day.The only reason I gave it 4/5 stars is because the building itself is pretty old and outdated. The freight elevator wasnt working when I moved in. (Has since been fixed) The gym equipment was probably purchased during Ronald Regans first presidential term. They also charge a mandatory valet trash service ($30 a month) but you can walk 20 yards to the trash chute yourself. But garbage trucks cannot reach the back entrance of the building, where the dumpsters reside. They have to haul the dumpsters to the front of the building. Im fairly certain the valet service is used to subsidize this process.With a few simple updates, this building would be a 6/5 stars, no question.

It’s normal to vent frustrations through social media, while acts of kindness or competence go unreported. This instance is could not be left unsaid. We have been pleased with the responsiveness of the from office and maintenance staff at State Thomas Ravello. But they revealed their true character last week. We returned home after attending to a medical emergency, upon return our AC unit struggled to lower the temperature, so I sent a notification to the office, mentioning the fact that it wasn’t a priority, but that it could be due to the a heart related emergency suffered by our son.By the next day, the AC caught up and I sent a follow up notification that we were OK. Later that day, the door bell rung, And to our great surprise, At the door was a very thoughtful care package of heart healthy treats for our son with a lovely get well card. I don’t know who’s idea it was or who executed it, but it took real thought and real time. I just want our neighbors and future neighbors to know how thoughtful the management and office staff are.So thank you State Thomas Ravello! You are awesome, and we appreciate your kindness.

My husband and I loved our experience at Ravello and sadly had to move away for job relocation. They say its all location, location, location and that couldnt be more true for Ravello; great restaurants and close to Katy Trail. We really miss being able to walk down the street to grab brunch, a quick drink with friends, or take a jog on Katy Trail. We havent been able to find something quite like living at Ravello since we moved away and we definitely miss it! Our apartment itself has by far been one of the most updated, spacious, and best layouts weve had in our rental experience. Its funny, we both find ourselves referencing how we miss the layout and wish our new place was arranged like our old apartment. Finally, our favorite part of our experience at Ravello is the community events. This piece of our experience is unmatched by any other facility weve ever lived in. When moving to a new area, knowing very few people it can sometimes be a challenge to create a new support system around you. For us, we found that the community events allowed us the opportunity not only to meet some of neighbors, but also to create a new family in our new city. We made so many friends and have so many memories that are unparalleled because of this sense of community at Ravello and we still have our forever friends because of these experiences. Overall, we highly recommend Ravello and hope others have the opportunity to create life-long memories!

Great location, close to a nice park to jog, exercise or take the kids to have fun there, walking distance from supermarkets (Walmart and Whole Foods) lots of restaurants, trolley stops right there to take you wherever... NICE NICE NICE location.Staff is also great. I have never had a bad experience with them. They have always followed up with any thing we have brought to their attention and any home issue has been fixed pretty fast. Maintenance and office people are super nice.Pool is small and cold even in summer, the water gets only two hours of sun a day. Thats the only thing I dont like from the Ravello, the pool temperature.Everything else is great.

I just moved into the community. The staff (Kirsten, Laila, Nicole and Andrew) have been amazing and very welcoming. When I moved in, there were a few items that needed to be addressed in the apartment and, within 24 hours, the team ensured that all the issues were addressed. Special mention to the maintenance staff, Coco, who very quickly and professionally addressed all the issues with a big smile and even with some whistling here and there ;). I’ve lived at State Thomas Ravello for over a year and a half and, overall, I love it here. Sure, not everything is perfect, but the units are well laid out and very homey feeling. The community here is great, and I’ve made some wonderful friends. I’ve had issues here and there, but maintenance has always taken care of it. Johnny on the maintenance team has been especially helpful! He’s gone out of his way to make sure any maintenance requests were taken care of in a timely manner. I plan to stay at this community for quite some time!

I have lived here for two years and have enjoyed it. Floor plans are spacious, location couldnt be better, its quiet, trash chutes are easy to access. My only complaint is the parking garage - it is so narrow and holds two-ways of traffic. I know that there is nothing the apartment can do about it, but maybe better lighting and more mirrors could help with the amount of wrecks.

The Gables State Thomas Ravello is a larger, Mid-Rise apartment residence in the quieter State Thomas area of Uptown. The area has a distinct neighborhood feel, with primarily apartments, and private residences, and a small amount of retail in smaller shops. There are many trees around the area, and this is a great part of Uptown to go for a run or just enjoy outdoors. There are also some popular “insider” night spots for Uptown in walking distance.The apartments were built in 2000 and are more mid Rise in style. The style/design of the apartments is more “Traditional” in some ways, with primarily carpet interiors, crown molding, etc. However, they also have been nicely upgraded in the kitchens and other areas.Access in the inner buildings are all controlled access. They are secured with a key fob. And, the hallways are air conditioned/heated with carpet. The controlled access is important because it gives you more security, but also a lower utility bill and more comfort in the hotter/colder months.The style is pretty basic overall, not flashy. The apartment value for the money is VERY good here in comparison to Uptown.There are a SMALL amount of floor plans here. They have a lot of 2 bedroom and several three bedroom floor plans as well.Features: Here are some of the features I like at the Ravello:• Good sized kitchens – the kitchens here are bigger than average for Uptown. They also include more cabinet space than most.• Newer appliances – The majority of apartments and the townhomes have newer (black) appliances. The COLBY units have black appliances.• Patios/Balconies INCLUDED – The majority of apartments have a patio or balcony.• Washer/dryer included – The apartments include washer dryer sets. Very appreciated!• Nice size Closets – These closets are great sized. In some cases, they are HUGE!• Interior storage on the balcony – This is very rare…most of the apartments actually have extra storage on the balcony. !The Gables State Thomas Ravello has some areas to improve:• Carpet interiors – most of the apartments have carpet interiors in the living/dining rooms. However, for a $50 a month upgrade, you can get hardwoods installed if you want.• No walk in showers – Most of the apartment floor plans do NOT have walk in showers.• Very standard interiors – The interiors are basic and I have no problem with them. However, they also don’t show much imagination with designs or features.Please see my further thoughts at Uptown101 .

My review is not on this complex exactly, but about Danyelle, the leasing professional that gave us a tour today. She was super sharp, knew exactly what we were asking for didnt pause or skip a beat with the process. Told us everything we needed to know before we even had to ask and she was super sweet. I see their rating isnt the best right now.. I noticed she was new, so hopefully she helps boost their starts up now thats shes there!!

Lived here for a year and you know what, theyve been great! Hard working people, theyve been through a lot with construction and everything so I know theres a lot on their plate. Even with that, Amanda and Kirsten have been extremely helpful, especially with all this COVID stuff going on. I really appreciate that and will continue to be a fan and a resident with Gables :-)

I’m a new resident of State Thomas Ravello. I can’t say enough about how helpful, professional, courteous, and prompt the leasing staff was leading up to and during my move-in (I worked most closely with Nicole). They answered all my questions and gave me plenty of insight and options. And, when I needed some flexibility, they worked really hard to try to accommodate me. I’m looking forward to making State Thomas Ravello home!

Its been a great place to live for 3 years, but behind the pretty façade, the building is kind of in need of a few improvements to justify a pretty high price. That said, the location in State Thomas, only walking distance to McKinney, is great and the grounds are awesome. If youre just moving to Dallas, this is a great place to check out.

I rented this apartment for my daughter and we both ara highly satisfied with our decision. Amanda Fertitta helps us in all the process and she and everybody else in the office are very courteous and prompt to answer any questions you have.The maintenance was very fast to go and repair a couple of things that needed to be fixed.I highly recommend this place.

Great apartment, a bit old of a building, but great bones! The leasing office went through a shift in employment while we moved in and it caused a lot of confusion, but they are committed to making sure we are taken care of now that the shift is over.
