I have been living at the Smart Living at Telephone apartment complex for a bit now, and I couldnt be happier with my choice. The ladies at the office are incredibly helpful. They go above and beyond to assist with any questions or concerns, making the entire experience of living here so pleasant. The community itself is well-maintained and clean. Its truly a nice place to call home, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and friendly living environment.

I’ve been here over a year and just renewed my lease. Compared to all the apartments in the area this is the best complex especially for a two bedroom. They recently updated the common areas which is great. From the dog park to the fitness center all the amenities are A1. The staff here is awesome, all you have to do is be nice/patient and they will take care of everything you need!Shout out to Yessie and the Leasing Team you guys are the best!!!

I like the office staff, they actually stepped it up. We had car brake ins and now they have security all week which helped a lot, hope they dont take it away. For maintenance they are always fast and get stuff done, They do a great job. Ive been living here for almost two years and never had an issue. If you go talk to manager she hears you out and tries to help with the issue. I sure will be renewing.

Disclaimer: This is a review based on a visit to Smart Living as a prospective tenant. I am not a tenant at this property. The following comments are impressions based on a tour I took in the November 2023 time frame.SO MUCH TO LIKE! I have previously toured another Smart Living property in the past; this one off of Telephone Rd came up on one of the apartment portal sites. Smart Living On Telephone is a relatively new, beautiful property in the heart of the Gulfgate/Pine Valley area, just inside the South Loop.The model unit I toured had to be close to 700 square feet – more than enough for my needs at the time. That unit was equipped with a washer/dryer combo, a kitchen “island”, a patio (it was a first-floor unit), and ample space. And I have to give a major shout out to Alexis for doing a great job of showing it off and answering my questions!As good as this place was, my main reason for not taking it was that I wanted a property closer to downtown. This Smart Living complex is actually quite close to downtown (a straight shot up 45) but I wanted to be even closer than that. :-)The only “dings” I would give this property have to do with parking. Parking is not reserved unless you get a garage, and if you do, (a) it’s $100 extra per month as I understood it, and (b) there’s a waiting list. After the very hot summer Houston had in 2023, some kind of covered parking would be extremely helpful.But if you like the idea of a modern property that’s close to 45, Loop 610, and is about 20 minutes from Clear Lake (in optimal traffic), Smart Living On Telephone is definitely for you! It is certainly worth a tour!

Not a tenant yet, waiting for my lease to be up at my current apartments.I came in to the office for some availability and pricing information. Alexis was more then informative and helpful with any questions and concerns i had.Cant wait to move here, i know all apartments are similar but this place does seem more organized then where i am currently at.

This place is calm in the day. you feel pretty safe. not much commotion going on..At night, its a different story.-Not enough visitors parking.-You can quickly get your car towed for being in the wrong spot after 9pm.-Break ins are nothing new, since security only works weekends, weekdays, your car/truck can get broken into at night.-Silverados are a prime suspect in break ins. might as well get a garage.other than that, the place is okay. i havent had issues, YET.-Management needs to step it up at this location, alot of people here are paying for a more newer apartment. some communication, is key in retaining people to live here.-Security definitely needs to step it up, people can get easy access into the complex at night, we all want our Cars/trucks to be un touched at night always.

Left about 2 years ago. Moved to river oaks now. My experience was great. Yes maintenance took a bit long but not bad at all. Parking was a hassle for visitor. They always filled up with some residents parking in the visitor for some reason. My unit was new to me and everything was great about it. I would definitely consider these again if I had to come back to the area for some reason.

Lived here 3 years since they had opened. I personally never experienced any vandalism or hardship with my apartment. My dog was comfortable as well. When I called for any issue even a vent replacement, maintenance was right on it same day. Only thing I did not like is that people did not pickup after their dog, which is not property responsibility so can’t blame. Pool was cleaned often, gym was always accessible. People that move in here tend to be messy which I did not like. Moved because rent kept going up about 100 every year, and just wanted to start somewhere else. One more thing, if you aren’t on 3rd floor, you hear a lot from above or at least I did.

I’ve lived here about a year now. The staff is awesome, very nice and very helpful. The location is great and it is close to the med center. The pool, gym and park are also great. If you park in an assigned parking yes, you will get towed. I’m one of those who pay for the assigned parking and it sucks when someone is parked in your spot.

The staff could use improvement on customer service but that is not as important than the tenants keeping the complex clean. The complex does a great job with trash and litter pick up. The tenants need to do the same. Some are not clean and tidy. Throwing trash out on the grass and sidewalks. This complex is fairly new. We need to keep it rodent free. That goes for the inside of your unit as well people! Clean your place!

Smart Living is run by kind and awesome people! Really enjoyed my stay here. The apartments are very clean, the appliances are new (energy efficient), and the materials (granite counters, tile floors, etc) are polished and brand new. Great place especially if you go to UH - very close by.

BEAUTIFUL PLACE, EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. QUICK ACCESS TO FWY. DEPARTMENT ADJUSTS WELL TO MY NEEDS. AND I LOVE THE POOL. I SUPER RECOMMEND IT.
