I have been wanting to live here for over a year, and last week it all happened. I think we are going to love it here. I can’t say enough about the management here. They have been very kind and helpful. Alecia has been extremely kind and is always there to help everyone. She loves our furry children and takes good care of those who need her help at the drop of a hat. She greets everyone with a smile and is always kind to everyone. You can tell she loves her job. Thank you Alecia for giving 150% to everything that you do, and making our lives at The Retreat a better place to live. You and Janie are wonderful!

It is a wonderful place to live. It is clean and residents are extremely kind and very friendly!The staff (Janie, Alicia and Javier) are amazing.I want to add to my review. A new young man (Jesse) started working here. He saw I was taking my trash to the dumpster. He took it and did it for me. Not used to being so pampered.

From the first time I entered the RETREAT, everyone has been friendly, happy, and welcoming! The people living here as well as the staff are like a family. Alecia has answered all my questions with a smile and responded every time I texted, emailed, or called quickly. My apartment was ready as promised and paperwork was a breeze because of the professional way they prepare for each resident. After 3 weeks here, I know God orchestrated every step of this journey and the wonderful people in the office helped make it happen.

The staff Janie and Alecia are super sweet caring people. They help so many people in so many ways. Fun activities are planned each month for the residents, they really care and are so kind. The place is kept clean, welcoming, and above all a safe place for seniors to live !

I cant believe Ive been living at the Retreat of Barbers Hill for almost 1 year. It has been a peaceful and charming place to live. I have met so many new friends. Management is wonderful and will help when needed. I recommend looking here for your forever home.

I am a local author and I did a book signing event there. Very nice facility, but it was the people that made the biggest impact. Alicia and Janie were both very kind and accommodating and the residents were appreciative and I enjoyed interacting with them. A very warm atmosphere.

Have lived here 2 years. Enjoy every minute. You can participate in many things if you like, Beautiful pool, pool table, shuffleboard, and scheduled activities all month. Bus to the store each week provided. Lots of friends to visit with. Friendly staff to show you around if you want to visit. Come visit!

The Retreat is under new management and all is good. The office staff is exceptional. They listen to everything you say or ask. They go above and beyond what is expected. Living here is like having one big family, everyone helping everyone. Love it here! ❤️

Ive lived here 6 months. Major downsizing. Cottage space is perfect. Balcony view of deer. Amenities have been well used so far! Staff members are extremely conscientious. Appreciate the exercise classes.

I met people that were raised along side of me from Pelly when I moved here. What a fantastic surprise. There are lots of things to do do here, cards, puzzles, bingo and lots of eating! Everyone brings something to our pot luck meals from some really good cooks. If you ever need any help with anything just go to Alecia’s office where she greets you with a big smile on her face and all the answers. It has been such a relief to have moved here.

My mother has been living at The Retreat for over 3 years now. She moved in shortly after they opened. She is 88 years old and loves it there.Her apartment is perfect for her and she loves her view of the sunsets. The people living there are like family and watch out for one another. The Retreat has a great activity calendar each month from Bingo, movie days along with popcorn, candy and sodas, monthly birthday celebrations, workout programs, live entertainment, etc. They have a shuttle to take them to the store each week. Each month they go out to eat at different restaurants. On the days The Retreat has nothing planned the residents get together and play games or listen to one of the residents who plays guitar and sings. Always something to do. My mother and I both highly recommend The Retreat.

Updated and well taken care of. This place is at the top of our list. Alisha was very helpful and informative. Also, was a very friendly and welcoming environment as the residents seemed to really like the staff.
