The entire community and staff has been wonderful and for that we resigned. Never had any issues, maintenance is always on top of it. We always have felt safe and welcomed. We have trail access and we are walking distance from so many great places.

This apartment is located in a nice area, the apartment complex itself is charmingly vintage. The apartments are very sizable with black appliances, the space is enjoyable and easy to make your own.EBRE is amazing!!!!! She is helpful, efficient, attentive and always kind. I have never had a sales professional that I’ve enjoyed working with more.

I havent seen one bug in my unit. Ive been here for almost 8 months and no issues at all. They switched elevator services and we havent had any issues. I love the stackable washer and dryers and that they dont hit us with a bunch of amenity fees.

The Gables Katy Trail property is an older building in the Gables portfolio. Their management is centralized, so there are some things that are hard to negotiate. However Ebre in the Gables KT office worked hard to get me a great opportunity when I was looking at renewing my lease. And she had to do a lot of work! But she was a big help, when moving apartments can feel like so much work. I highly recommend the neighborhood feel of this property.

I am now moving out after just over 2 years living here at Gables Katy Trail and I will miss it. The location is perfect, I couldnt have been more centralized to both the trail and uptown area. This complex is very peaceful, quiet, and simple, and would be perfect for someone looking for a smaller unbothered community. There are days when I am getting my mail, doing laundry in the laundry room (because my unit doesnt have machines in it, but most do), or running errands where I wont see even a single other person, and I LOVED that kind of peace during my time here. Many other apartment complexes I have lived in are noisy, have smelly hallways, and feel poorly maintained and even gross, but the standards here for living at Gables KT were high despite the complexs older age. If you are looking for sleek and modern, this is not the place for you, as it is definitely dated. But despite not being modern, it is kept up well, maintenance is extremely quick and responsive to work orders, and I have only ever had 2 bugs in my unit and pest control came same day to take care of it each time. I also loved the parking situation here, as many complexes have residents battle for limited parking in tight spots and have unsecure entrances, but here at the Gables, there were endless parking spaces in the lower level, always guest spots open as well, and the gate was only ever left open while getting fixed for a few days during my whole time here. The parking garage entrances are down the side of the building kind of out of the way of the hustle and bustle of uptown sidewalks and I think that alone made it a less convincing place for thieves to break in. The valet trash service is super timely and residents are good about not leaving trash out or making a mess. I lived in an inward facing unit overlooking the pool area, and it was never a problem. Residents are respectful and quiet. Speaking of the pool, it is one of the best apartment pools Ive ever used simply because it is always pristinely clean and gets sun literally all day. With all the tall buildings in uptown, I know people whose apartment pools will only have direct light for maybe a few hours, but at Gables I could sit out and enjoy the sun from 11 am to 7 pm all summer if I wanted. I think the prices are fair considering this complex is on prime real estate in uptown. Youre on the trail, less than 5 minutes from KT Ice House, and very short walks from west village, downtown, state thomas, and oak lawn neighborhoods. I hardly have to drive unless Im crossing highway 75. I would stay here as a resident if I wasnt in need of a bigger space at this point in my life. I cant recommend this spot enough and I will definitely miss it!

My experience at Gables Katy Trail has been peaceful, the reviews from years ago do not stand in 2024, Ive been a resident for 3 years now. The building is older but there have been internal updates that make’s sense for the price. Love being able to have all the perks of the uptown area.

Gables Katy Trail is a wonderful place to live! Its relatively quiet and located in a wonderful area. The staff here treats the residents well and are very good at communicating when they will be able to make it when I call them with my concerns.Overall, awesome place to live!

I did not end up moving here, however my experience with leasing agent Ebre was absolutely incredible. She communicated with me non-stop throughout the process and was so helpful and informative throughout the process with all of my questions. She really really does her job well! Thanks Ebre!!

The community is very quiet and clean. Matthew and Bella are amazing. Maintenance usually responds within 24 to 48 hours and if they cant make it they communicate that to you so that you are aware of the status of your request. A couple of the downsides to living here are that they dont have alot of community activities where the residents can get to know each other and the staff. Also, the amenities here are very limited. The units need to be updated. The community has a very small pool area and there isnt a courtyard its only the pool & BBQ grill located in the middle of the property ( I am sure this is due to the complex being so small). Also, the previous reviews about the water being shut off as well as how thin the walls are are accurate the water is constantly cutoff due to plumbing issues. I have had several maintenance request since I moved here mainly due to the age of the unit. I gave the community a 4 star rating only because of Matthew, Bella and Ben along with the location of the complex.

Despite the fact that it’s one of oldest buildings in the neighborhood, it’s up to date on and has modern utilities. Jodie & Michael and the maintenance crew are always very attentive on anything I need. Did I also say that rent is relatively cheap in comparison to other properties around? OH YEA! You can’t beat the price for the location, you have the Katy trail right at your door step and great bars and restaurants within walking distance as well. Also, the community is great and friendly. I highly recommend this property. Thanks for everything gables Katy trial.

I lived at Gables at Katy Trail for about a year. I had no issues with crime, insects or management. Matthew, the property manager is licensed in real estate & it shows in his professionalism. Any issues that needed maintenance was addressed within a day. The location is convenient with direct access to Katy trail & easy access to US75 & DNT, walking distance to many restaurants & west village shopping center as well as the free trolley that will take you to downtown. They are pet friendly (with a fee), laundry on site and have gated underground parking. It’s a smaller complex & a little bit older building but well maintained. The only complaint I had was with the mandatory trash valet which will cost about $40 month. Great experience living here!!

This is my third year at Gables Katy Trail and I have been impressed from day one. From the friendliness and responsiveness of the front office staff (Jodi and Michael) to the exceptional maintenance team, it has been a great Uptown rental experience. If any issue arises, no matter how large or small, they have been on top of it immediately. The location provides easy access all over Uptown (and the Katy Trail is your backyard). The gated parking levels also provide a safe environment. The residents are courteous. Renewing my lease was an easy choice-

So I’ve been here almost one year, plenty of time to be able to make a fair review, and I must honestly say that I love living here. It’s an older building, and therefore, there are occasional small issues that go with older buildings: the slow elevator, the very occasional water shut-offs (always announced in advance) etc. But these are tiny in comparison to the awesomeness (and the friendliness) of the office staff and maintenance crew. They go out of their way to help with any problem. Other great things—the pool is immaculately clean and well-cared for (not always the case in Dallas apartments). And the location is excellent—the Katy Trail, the streetcar, McKinney Ave. Everything walkable in a friendly lively neighborhood. I very much recommend Gables Katy Trail!

Such a cute and tranquil apartment! You cant beat the price/location combo, and the complex is welcoming without being over-busy like other complexes.Matthew has always been very helpful and communicative, and Kimberly was very understanding when I brought up an issue.Theres just a lot of peace to this place. The only downside is the elevators are always out, but I always had maintenance requests taken care of in a timely manner. I will miss this place 🤍

Overall good place to live. Maintenance very responsive and friendly. Convenience to Katy Trail. Few downsides. Elevator constantly broken including on my move in (without warning) AND move out day. Apartment overlooking the pool made it very noisy when people had late parties past “pool hours.” Complained to staff and was told to call 911 because the apartment doesn’t have it’s own security service. Bike was stolen despite being padlocked in the locked garage.

Here are the positives about this complex. It is in the BEST location! You can pretty much walk everywhere which is amazing. You can walk to amazing restaurants, bars, parks, and the American Airlines Center! I cannot stress how amazing this location is. The maintenance team is always on top of everything and will fix anything for you in a timely manner. It is also really nice to have a gated garage to park in. The office staff changes rather frequently but I have always loved everyone that has come through! My apartment is a good size and I feel a decent price, especially for the location! The complex overall is pretty dog friendly. It is located right on the Katy trail which is AMAZING! However, I do wish they would fence off a piece of the grass and make it into a little dog park for people who keep their dogs off leash. Now for the negatives. The complex itself is somewhat rundown and old. A lot has broken in my apartment but I will say that it does not bother me that much because the maitenance staff is so responsive! I cannot stress enough how amazing the maintenance team is, especially Ben!! Ben is one of the nicest guys I have met and is extremely responsive whenever you have a problem. However, the most frustrating thing about this complex was the people. Many of the residents let their dogs off leash and did not clean up after them. Overall, I think this is a good complex to live in and I have loved my experience. There will be some things along the way that are frustrating, but that is the case no matter where you live!

I have lived at Gables Katy Trail for years and years, and I love the charm of the building! Jodi and Michael, in the leasing office, are always incredibly helpful! Ben is amazingly helpful with any maintenance requests! They all make this place more of a home! It is clear they care for the residents and the building! I think this place is a wonderful jewel in Uptown, and I love living here!

Ive been a resident of Gables Katy Trail for two years and have really enjoyed my time living here. The location is in the heart of Uptown and provides convenient, direct access to the Katy Trail. The building has made a handful of recent updates, including new pool furniture. Front office staff is very responsiveness and maintenance team is professional plus timely.

Easy to work with front office. Helped me out when I had an issue with my lease renewal and was able to help me renew. Prompt response with any issues I have with the apartment itself. Maintenance staff is very courteous and kept me in the loop with any repairs Ive needed. Overall pleasant experience and been here for a number of years.

I could not be happier with the management staff at Gables Katy Trail! The grounds are pretty, the pool area was just revamped last summer and is beautiful. Also, the maintenance team is friendly and requests are handled timely. If youre thinking of making the move to Uptown (or if youre fed up with your current Uptown apartment) definitely check out Gables Katy Trail!

My move in and move out was seamless and the staff are always so friendly. Maintenance is usually there within 24 of putting in a request, and the unit was reasonably priced for such a wonderful area to be in Dallas.

This apartment complex is great.It has all of the necessities. The apartments are clean and spacious. The staff is attentive and quick to respond. The views and location are fantastic! All it is missing is an updated look on the outside and better amenities. All things I can live without for a great price to live in uptown.

We loved the community and the neighborhood! We only left so we could buy a house of our own! Gables is the best!

Matthew Tharrett & Miri Miara both helped me when I was first moving into the complex. They are both amazing and very helpful. Best customer service I have ever received from any leasing office. My first day I had a minor issue and Matthew had maintenance at my door in 15mins. They were able to resolve the issue very quickly. I’m so grateful to have moved into a place that really makes you feel like home.P.S.The view to the Katy Trail is the cherry on top!

The apartments are dated but priced accordingly for the area.

Amazing place to live if youre looking to get a real taste of Dallas Uptown and are on a budget. Katy trail is considerably less expensive compared to the neighboring properties.Private access to Katy trail and proximity to great hangout places (Kung-fu salon, Level, clutch, Amli quadrangle and the some great bars on McKinney ) are a huge plus
