    We recently moved here and we really like this place a lot so far. Maintenance have been quick and professional. The property is kept very nice and very clean along with the amazing location. My biggest compliment goes to Matt and Grady who have been so helpful, welcoming, polite and so professional.I highly recommend this place.Well I am happy to update my review and just let others know that we renewed our lease! This has been a great place to live, amazing location, great office staff and maintenance crew and the property is always so well maintained. We hope to be here a while.

    I have been living at gables for 8 months so far, no complaints, the place is well maintained, the maintenance staff are excellent, the always address any issue very quickly, everyone working there is friendly and nice, the location is very nice next to a park and a central market, rent is okay and in line with other similar places, my only complaint would be the gym, its smaller than other places I lived at and lacking in equipment, but I wont take a star out of the review because of that.

    My wife and I moved back to Texas from NYC, and needed to find a place without touring in person. Grady personally FaceTimed us to walk through the available units, and was patient with all our questions. We have dealt with difficult landlords before, so it was refreshing to just have someone be kind, and human. He and Matt were always friendly and helpful during our 2+ years as residents.Ken and the maintenance team are awesome - highly skilled, and prompt with maintenance requests.The location and amenities are also great. We regularly enjoyed the gym and pool. The proximity to the park, Central Market, and downtown are a huge plus.We wish we could have stayed longer, but needed more space as our family grew. We highly recommend this place.

    My husband and I have lived at Gables Central Park for over 2 years now. We actually lived here, moved to NYC and when we moved back to grow our family we knew we had to return.The office team is great! Matt and Grady are so kind and patient. Plus I feel like so many offices have such high turnover but not this place. The maintenance team is the best. Not only is everything completed quickly but they go above and beyond. When my baby was a newborn they even knocked gently and did repairs quietly not to wake him. At our last unit our ac was a little wonky one day and they even brought a portable unit for just in case but were able to have it fixed that day. Ken is the best!!The complex is quiet, but at the same time you’re close to everything. Walking distance to central market, coffee shops, and being next to a beautiful park and walking trail. Plus you’re so close to Hyde Park which is also great for walking and has little shops and neighborhood restaurants.Lastly being from Austin so many complexes are old buildings that got a paint job and are now super expensive. Gables is a little expensive (at least for us) but worth it. They don’t have the modern hip finishes like a lot of newer complexes but the quality is there. The walls aren’t thin, I’ve never had any pest issues, and the grounds are so well maintained. The gym is small but that’s never mattered for us. I cannot recommend this complex enough, and no they do not have perks for good reviews. I just love this place.

    I have lived at Gables Central Park for close to 3 years now, and it is such an amazing place. The front desk staff is always friendly and helpful, and Ken on the maintenance staff is by far the best maintenance guy in the whole city! He is always kind, friendly, and quick to solve any problems in the apartment.The location is unbeatable -- being able to walk out the back gate and into the park is awesome! The squirrels and birds make it feel like a little oasis in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the city. And being able to walk to central market is so convenient and pleasant. Another added bonus: Ive never lost power during either of the winter storms weve had the past couple of years 🤫The grounds are very peaceful and serene and always in good condition. I highly recommend living here!

    Thank you for a wonderful two years at the Central Park Texas property. I loved living here so much that I wish I could be like one of the older residents and make this my permanent home! I have lived in Austin for seven years, and the location on the park and next to the grocery store is incomparable.Heather, Matt, and Grady have always been fantastic, responsive, kind, and communicative hosts in the leasing office. Their hospitality and warmth easily convinced me to move to this property two years ago. Knowing that I was moving into a comfortable and well maintained property was worth a price premium.The extraordinary maintenance staff, Ken, is an independent reason for loving the Gables property. Ken is attentive, communicative, responsible, capable, and kind. For the smallest maintenance needs he will be at my door first thing Monday morning to help. When there is a problem we struggle to solve with our building’s old bones and pipes, I am put at ease and cope with any discomfort knowing that Ken is on the job. He always makes me feel that my home and safety is top of mind and he will find a solution.I have implored countless friends to move to the Gables Central Park property because of Ken. In a rapidly growing city with skyrocketing rent, it feels impossible to find a reasonably priced home that is safe, comfortable, and has great maintenance staff. Ken makes the impossible possible.As all industries struggle to maintain great service employees in our current economy, it is in Gables good sense to hold Ken close and reward him for his fantastic customer service skills and maintenance knowledge.When I finally buy a home, it would be good sense to hire him for my own home maintenance needs. I am happy to continue to gush about Ken any way I can to give this wonderful person a well-deserved raise, promotion, bonus, extra vacation days, ANYTHING.

    Such a wonderwful place to live!1. You have a direct access to Central Park, a beatiful park. Seriously, this is one of the best things of living here.2. Central Market is 7 mins walking distance! Thats amazing! I love that place. I go there every week to get groceries.3. There are no cockroaches. Ive been here for about a year and a half and I havent seen any. Even when Ive left some left overs out of the fridge.I really love this place. I give 4 stars though because my appartments balconey is very noisy and I really wasnt able to use it (it is next to 38th) and the gym is very mediocre, nevertheless, usable.

    I have been living at Gables Central Park for 8 years and it has always been a wonderful experience. The apartments are very quiet and close to to a lot of nice dining and grocery establishments. All the employees are very kind and helpful. Matt and Grady in the offices are very friendly and accommodating. And the maintenance staff is beyond helpful and quick to fix any problems that may arise. I would highly recommend Gables Central Park to anyone

    Great property and very nice, responsive staff. The property is maintained extremely well, specifically the landscaping, absence of litter and clean pool. I appreciate that I can walk around with my dog and not worry about him finding garbage, broken glass, etc. It is very quiet and people are friendly. Location is perfect. I love being on the park and a 3 minute walk to Central Market. Any issues with the apartment have been promptly addressed (Shoutout to Ken! You are the real MVP!). The maintenance request system on the app is super convenient. I love this apartment and wouldn’t want to live anywhere else in Austin.

    My wife and I lived here for 7 years and loved every minute of it. Matt, Heather, Joey, and Ken have been helpful constants in our lives for so long it’s been actually pretty emotional moving out! The staff are very understanding and so helpful with any maintenance issues. We have a pretty easily frightened dog and they were always very sensitive to that as far as entering the apartment if we weren’t home. The location of the complex also couldn’t be better. The park is great for dog walks (it was basically like our back yard) and there are a few unofficial off-leash spots where you can throw a frisbee for your dog. If you’re a graduate student this is a prime location since it is close enough to campus to ride a bike or even walk. It’s also quiet and has a really nice pool that we enjoyed every summer. Central Market being right next door is amazing as it’s the best grocery store in town by a huge margin. Who doesn’t want to sip a beer and listen to live music while they shop? I think I’ve spent so much money at Central Market I now qualify as an investor. I can’t recommend Gables Central Park highly enough.

    I have lived at Gables Central Park for about 1.5 years, and I have had a great experience. The maintenance and office staff have always been very responsive and kind. The area is great, with a park accessible from the complex and Central Market within walking distance. My only complaint would be that they patently refused to offer me any lease term longer than 12 months. I would have loved the option to lease for a longer term.

    I like living here. The location is great, the unit that I am in is clean and updated. The building that I live in is quiet and very close to the park. I feel safe and again, like the location as its close to the UT campus, Central Park, Central Market, the Triangle, bars/restaurants on Lamar and more. When I went through the moving process, the leasing staff were all friendly and helpful. I have also had a few maintenance requests and all were completed in a timely fashion and correctly. I recommend living here!

    I have been living here since August 2020 and have had a great experience so far! Matt, Heather and Grady on the management team are all so helpful and kind. Ken and Joey (I think thats his name?) on the maintenance team are also so awesome!Management answers any questions that I have in a timely manner and keeps all the residents updated through email. The apartment complex is right next to the park and a 5 minute walk (through the park) to Central Market. Sometimes, food trucks will come to Gables as well. I highly recommend living at Gables Central Park!!!

    I am a recently retired medical professional and have lived at the Gables for 9 years. I had not lived in an apartment since college and was wary. But it has turned out to be a wonderful place to call home. Its proximity to the medical community makes it convenient to getting medical care. I walk to Central Market and enjoy their live music and dancing on the weekends. There are numerous other shops and restaurants within walking distance. UT, the Capital and downtown are within 3 miles. We are right on a rapid bus line.The management is superb. Michelle, Matt and Brady are always friendly and welcoming. They have been with the Gables for a cumulative 30+ years and know how to get things done-promptly and efficiently.The maintenance guys, Ken and Mike and the rest are friendly and knowlegable and fast. They always follow up to make sure their repairs are holding up.Finally the neighbors are wonderful. They are quite varied, many international and diverse and smart. We all respect and look out for each other. Many have become close friends.I hope to live here forever!Rick

    Lived here for just shy of a year. Its within biking/scooter distance of pretty much all of austin, and being able to walk to a grocery store was a bigger plus than I thought it would be. I had a few problems with the ac and water heater but staff was very responsive and is always very helpful. Its definitely not the newest apartment but I never heard a sound from my neighbors except maybe once a month or so you do hear an ambulance driving to the nearby hospital. A few nitpicks here and there but overall a very clean and positive experience, would recommend to any friends or family moving to Austin.

    I lived here for 1 year while going to UT. There is a shuttle bus located about a 5 minute walk away. It made getting to campus so easy.The staff at the Gables was AMAZING! I always felt really appreciated and cared for here.The apartments are clean and spacious. I dont recall ever seeing any bugs while living here. There is a security gate around the perimeter which made me feel very safe in Austin. You also get assigned, covered parking so you dont have to worry about finding a space.I would highly recommend living here. If youre looking for an apartment in the Austin area, youve got to check this one out!

    This is a wonderful place to live especially for UT teachers or students, as well as for any others. The location is very convenient and beautiful - bus-stops with the main routes, the Central Market, a really good jogging track and a playground for kids.I’ve been living here for eleven months and all this period I was really enjoying my stay here. Now I need to change my location due to some changes in my life and I hope that my next complex will be as excellent as this one.The management is perfect, always helpful and friendly.I highly recommend this place to those who consider living in a beautiful, quiet and convenient place.My grade - 5 out of 5.

    I lived at Gables for a year and a half during the end of my time at UT. Overall, I had a really good experience. Matthew was extremely helpful in the office and you could not beat the location or attached park. The complex is older, but they were making upgrades in the units as I was moving out. Extremely pet friendly which is very important to me, and overall it is a quiet complex with a lot of young professionals. Handled complaints I had about a neighbor well. It is very expensive, however. I got transferred out of Austin for a job, otherwise I would have stayed. I recommend them!

    We have loved living here as its so convenient to doctors and grocery shopping. Walking around the pond brings delight throughout the year as the flora, fauna and wildlife change by the season. Management is always responsive and make living here a pleasure.

    The Gables Central Park Residential Community was the BEST place for our daughter who is a PHD student at UT Austin. It is a perfect, quiet community for graduate students, she feels safe, enjoys the walk to HEB Central Market and truly appreciates the The Gables Office staff! Heather was truly amazing in helping our daughter transition to apartment life as were other office staff members helping set up her internet, electricity, etc. As parents, we are truly thankful for the wonderful staffs help and support! After a 4 month apartment search, Heather nailed it with The Gables!!! Highly recommend!

    The move-in process was easy and quick, which was great because we were in a bit of a time crunch. I love that the community is pet friendly. I do wish they would remove the wall of mirrors in the dining room as it looks outdated. Overall our experience has been tremendous, and Grady was fantastic throughout the whole process.

    We moved here from nyc and it was the best decision ever. The office staff was so helpful during the process, especially when lock downs occurred. When we finally arrived staff knew us and made sure moving in was smooth. We love our new home so much.

    Gables Central Park has been working hard to upgrade all of the units. The upgrades provide a meaningful and worthy improvement all of the units. The best part of Central Park is the location. You cannot beat the walkability of this location! There is so much to do within a 1 mile radius, yet it still feels secluded enough like our own home.

    Last week the pipes in the apartment above mine burst setting off the fire alarm. I went outside only to see water pouring down the side of the building and a waterfall cascading from the third floor onto the walk way below. A moment later, Joey, one of the maintenance employees, came down the stairwell. He informed me what was going on and continued on his way. Within minutes, the alarm and water were shut down and Joey was using the wet vac to clean up the standing water in the affected apartment. All I can say is that the team at Gables Central Park are AWESOME!! Many thanks to you, Joey. Also kudos to Heather, Matt, Grady, and Ken for the outstanding job they do every day!

    We have been here a month and love it. The location is amazing and the folks in the office have been very helpful on whatever we have needed. We had to put a work order in and Brian has been great and fixed it promptly! Were here temporarily and the transition from a house to an apartment has been painless.

    This is the best apartment complex I’ve ever lived at. The staff actually care about the residents as people. The maintenance staff actually follows up on issues and does what they say. I loved living here. Unfortunately, I had to move away from Austin. Otherwise, I would live here for as long as I could.

    UPDATE: (10/24/2017)I just deleted my original complaint against The Gables Central Park because their Regional Manager just informed me that the Gables is waiving the early termination fee which I was protesting due to the unique circumstances surrounding the early termination of my contract with them. Be forewarned that it wasnt easy to get this result. It was probably because I had an atypical situation, and I had continuously pursued the matter through phone calls and emails for several months, but in the end, the Gables did the right thing and thus have restored my faith in humanity and in the management at the Gables Central Park in Austin.

    I just moved into Gables Central Park, and every process was fast and convenient. It is pleasure to buy new things for new home too. The thing is that there are bugs. very little ones. And plus a tiny lizard appeared today. I would like to get rid of small ants and bugs away.^^

    I moved into Gables Central Park because of the location but I have also enjoyed living in this community. The service has been great. The only thing I would change is cleaning up the hallways a little. There is a lot of bird poop and trash stains in the hallway.

    In general Im satisfied with my choice, these apartments has great location and nice neighborhood. Sometimes noice from the road and hospital (yeah this is a medical district) can be annoying but I got used to it very quickly.
