We moved in August 2023 and we have loved our experience here! Whenever we put in a maintenance request, they come that day to fix it and they are so well prepared with what they may need for the fix and they always know what the problem is right away. We have been so impressed with them and all the maintenance staff are just lovely people so we always have a good chat! The office is very responsive and excellent at communicating and throwing fun events for the residents. The rental prices is great for how much you get. The pool in the warmer months is amazing and with the layout of the pool, you can be out there in a part of the pool and not feel like you are bumping into other residents so it feels nice to have your own space in the pool. The gym is great and we love using the hot tub and basketball court.

I lived here from January-May of 2021 but I felt compelled the leave a review that isn’t a horror story. Apartments are pretty clean and well managed- maintenance was fantastic. My biggest issue was that there really isn’t enough parking here for each apartment to have more than one car. Visitors have to park at a local business after their operating hours. Our next door neighbor was creepy & would watch us come and go (police came to his door at one point) but otherwise the complex felt safe.

Ive been here for almost a year and am thinking about extending my lease. I have had nothing but a good experience here.First of all the complex is in a decent location. You have easy access to 410, 35, and 281, and youre also minutes away from Broadway. It does not take long to get anywhere in the city from this location.Overall I have felt very safe in this complex and have never had an issue with anyone I met here. Everyone living here is very friendly and trustworthy.The apartments are priced very fairly for what you get. They are very homey feeling and the amenities you receive with the complex are pretty awesome.Maintance guys are awesome too! As soon as you schedule a request they show up in minutes to have it fixed. The people in the office are very helpful and always friendly. They host events for the community and bring more unity and fellowship to the complex.From my experience, I dont understand the negative reviews. Nothing is perfect with an apartment complex but this one, I believe, is pretty close to it. If youre looking for a good location where you feel safe ,welcomed, and want a clean environment then the Villas at Oakwell Farms is probably for you.

We enjoyed living here for 4 months. Safe neighborhood. Military friendly!The apartment was reasonably priced and a good size. The maintenance people were always quick to respond to calls and very helpful. The staff was very helpful throughout our stay. The amenities (gym, pool, etc.) were well maintained and nice enough. I lived at the Villages at Oakwell Farms for 6 years. I throughly enjoyed these years.Crista Kindle, the Apartment Manger, is GREAT!She has gone out of her way to help. She sees that everything is working smoothly. The entire staff work diligently to see that all repairs/problems are handled quickly and professionally. The complex is well kept.Their amenities far exceeded my expectations. They not only have a gym and pool but a basketball half court, a sauna and sand volleyball.I think you would like making this your home.

Move out update: Have spend over 2 years here and loved it. Management has been nothing but excellent during the entire process. I got the majority of security deposit back (a few items did need handled that we knew of before we left) and had no issues.Original review: Have been here 2 months currently. The apartments are wonderful, same as the staff.Any work orders I have put in have been completed to satisfaction within two days.As other reviews state, they will nickle and dime you with the contract, just like any other apartments in San Antonio. Its part of the business, Ill update this review if management does try to screw us over like some other people have unfortunately had happen to them. So far though, no complaints!

This place was nice to live in for the time we were there. However, we were hit with some ridiculous charges upon leaving, of course with little to no recourse. $95 for cleaning, though we left the place spotless, $43 for paint, which we never damaged and were given no evidence of damage on our part. I really wish I could give this place a better review, but this practice is shady, and I would advise looking elsewhere if you want to avoid these low-blow charges.EDIT: Owner responded, so here is an update. Their concern is appreciated, but it does not fix the grievance that is fixable. Namely, refund the charges that do not belong. I have been trying to reach the account resolution specialist, but they do not pick up at any time of day. I left a message with my number, and I was not given a call back, but rather an email telling me that the charges are justified and giving a few reasons why. For example, we were told the carpet needed to be replaced due to urine saturation, and that we were responsible for this charge. We didnt own a pet at any point throughout our stay, and we were given an inspection prior to when we moved in that did not note any urine damage. This charge was clearly made up to scam residents on the way out. I could go into more detail on the other charges, but I promise you the story is similar for all of them. This is unacceptable, and until this is entirely resolved, which it wont be because the account resolution office seems to be intentionally avoiding us (seemingly a feature, not a bug, of this process), I stand by my earlier message that if you dont want to be scammed out of money when leaving the apartment complex, do not live here.FINAL EDIT: I managed to get ahold of account resolutions and speak to Meagan, who did help reduce some of the more outlandish charges (carpet and paint) to about ~$40 less than they were. Ill go ahead and raise my rating some to reflect this. Final verdict: This place was good to live in and had good facilities and staffing (and the maintenance team was superb btw. Could not speak highly enough of them), but expect your $150 security deposit to be eaten up and then some by charges on the way out.

This is my first apartment. Ive been here for a little over 5 months now and havent had any issues with the staff or complex. Hailee assisted me with the initial leasing agreements and she was very personable and professional!When I did the final walkthrough/move-in we noticed some wasps that decided to nest on the porch and they were dealt with by maintenance the same day! I havent had any problems with my apartment yet though I expect they will take care of them swiftly and respectfully if they come along.The option to rent a washer & dryer is awesome, though I believe that they also have a Laundromat on campus. Theyve also been putting in a lot of new furnishings in the apartments from what I have seen, I know that mine came with new cabinets/cupboards.The hot tub and pool are very nice amenities when I have the chance to enjoy them. There are also basketball and racquetball courts! Some day Ill may it to the gym as well...There are 2 Pokémon gyms and stops within walking distance. :)

Id extend my lease here even longer if I didnt need to move to Houston. I never had any problems. Maintenance is very nice and helpful, and Maria in the leasing office is always kind and helpful every time I talk to her or need help with something. The office always answers the phone, too (I still dont understand why some properties dont answer/dont return calls). There are lots of walking/running trails in Oakwell Farms, too. Pricing is definitely fair.

I lived at the Villas at Oakwell Farms for 4 years and overall it was a good experience. I was apprehensive to sign when I read the reviews but decided to give this place a try. Rent was reasonably priced, free covered parking spot, front office staff was always friendly and nice, and the maintenance requests were fixed quickly. Some of the downfalls were the lack of visitor parking, pool being unkept, being charged a lot for cleaning fees when I moved out, and a constant roof leak. It was always a quiet complex and I felt very safe while living there.

Application process was lovely. I contact property on a Sunday I was approved a week later. Straight forward process. I had leak in 1st bathroom they fixed it right away during holidays. Apartment was clean pretty much except for hair on floor from previous tenants. Not much just a little.. Clean again I would recommend to make ready crew. Overall I ADORE this place and friendly staff. The place is QUIET TUCKED AWAY!! Love it! Fireplace high vaulted ceiling..beautiful.

Have been here 4 months and the office staff has been very responsive to all needs. Requests for service via their website or by going into the office are all handled in the same day and I receive an email confirmation that the work has been done. The property is quiet and very park-like. People dont break down their boxes and therefore the bins do indeed overflow, but that is resident-behavior related. Really no complaints.

This place is wonderful!!!! I love the sauna and my husband loves the indoor basketball court. The bad reviews worked to our advantage because they were able to accommodate us for a first floor unit in less than a weeks notice. So thank you for keeping people away. lol But really, just check this place out before you believe those reviews. This place is peaceful, clean and the front office people are always very helpful. LOVE IT!

Amazing don’t believe what you hear! I’m not military but first of all they’re extremely military friendly 85% of people that live here are military. Their grounds are always clean and they always get things done fast. We lived here for almost 4 years still currently do..it’s a great place to be!

Have been here for over a year and love it! Anything that I have needed assistance with, the staff have truly come through for me within minutes to an hour. As, such I have renewed my lease. Also, its super convenient to everywhere including work. :-)
