People are expecting Ritz Carolton or 4 Seasons for the economic priced apartments. Just moved in I do hope I continue to have good experience with Troy and other staff. . If you dont want roaches a) be clean b) diatomaceous earth worked way better & with no poison. And when I did start my stay here they sent a pest control person and I said its fine no need. ... & parking is free & they dont have tow trucks lurking to f over people.... also for being economic its way better then stuff in this city costing more....

Rene and Robert worked with me when my old apartments were taking forever to verify my rental history. I appreciate that.Edit:I ended up living here from 2019 until 2024 but we mutually agreed to part ways which worked out for me because I was looking to cut costs and no longer wanted an upstairs downstairs unit and I was definitely sick of the roach problem. I kept them at bay for as long as I could but the last few months of my lease they quite literally took over. I even threw out my couch before leaving because I had found roaches crawling on it one too many times. The office staff was very nonchalant about the issue but I know they knew it was a huge issue in the community. I personally stopped my my neighbors in the other units in my building and they all confirmed they had similar pest issues. I lived on a side where I didnt have issues with parking but occasionally would hear random gunshots which is strange for this area. maintenance issues were addressed quickly and the staff was nice. The property is centrally located right in the middle of the city. Accessible to the major highways. Thats convenient. I wouldnt say its reasonably priced for what youre getting but if you have an aggressive breed dog they dont charge pet rent and they allow them on the property which is what attracted me to the property in the first place plus they do work with you if youre having financial issues which is why I stayed for so long they were very helpful.

Where do I start? First, my leasing agent that assisted me, Yolanda, is absolute one of the best! This being my first leasing experience, she patiently worked me through the process and had GREAT follow up and communication. The office and maintenance staff was gracious to prepare my apartment for an expedited move in timeframe, and was ready to go when promised and when I needed it and in move in condition. The area is nice and the property appears well kept. I have only been on property a few days, but my maintenance requests were received with professionalism and courtesy. I am looking forward to a good experience over the next several months.

Javier the maintenance supervisor/manager is the bomb! He’s really great at his job, always listens to my concerns when needed and gets things done quickly and professionally! Thank you!!!Yolanda showed me my apartment when I was looking for a nice, safe, quiet place. She was very sweet, telling me all about the apartment and amenities. I got a nice apartment right in front of the pool and thats convenient in the summer heat. There are 3 pools that you can choose from. I love the location. The parking is ample. Parking is easy, no one bothers you, the neighbors are quiet, and it is pet friendly!

Note: I do not live here and have never lived here. This review is from a visitor’s perspective.Recently, I visited a friend who lives here, and when I visited, it was so peaceful. There’s ample parking and the community was clean and seemed to be well maintained.I felt safe being in the community. They have an on-site laundromat, not sure how many but I walked past one. The apartment where my friend lives was so clean that I thought it was a new apartment. There was no signs of damage nor rodents. It has a cute fireplace, my favorite in any place I’ve visited (well not my fireplace. Lol). The only thing I didn’t like is the living room didn’t have a light fixture. It’s in the dining area and the bulb is quite dim. Otherwise, this seems to be a nice place to live.It’s located near many places where you can shop and eat.

We lived here in a 2 bedroom one bath for about 4ish years when this complex was Whispering Oaks and never had a bad experience. Now were back again almost 8 years later in a 3 bedroom 2 bath. Dina has been super nice and friendly and so is the other lady who works with her. Our unit was nice and clean when we moved in and Im loving the new amenities(valet trash and in unit w/d, and gate control with your phone) wish there was a fitness center still but Hardberger park is down the road. The complex has always felt safe and is quiet and were really looking forward to being here for a while :)

Ive lived here two years and I actually love it! It has nice amenities, dog park, 3 pools, gates,valet trash that I dont use lol. They have 1-3 bedrooms, some apartments come with connections or both washer and dryer. Parking is free which is awesome! No one steals, no gun shots or violence, neighbors are nice! They have new staff in the office which is awesome finally! Troy the leasing manager will take care of you and let him know I sent you :)

My experience was a good one. I moved after 1.5 yrs because I needed a washer and dryer and my 1bdrm didn’t have the connections or in unit availability. I have a co worker who has lived there for over 20 years so something is going well..When I saw bugs, I sprayed(even though they told me not to because Raid counteracts the industrial spray)-it’s a community so lots of lifestyles exist in one area but my place was kept clean. I had several plumbing issues but they were fixed again & again but rather than be upset at the staff I simply let it go. Forgiveness is a really powerful tool by the way. I was treated kindly and upheld my obligations to the lease and I do feel that the place at Oak Hills did their part. I will say that the units are not competitively priced for other apartments within a mile radius. My rent would’ve been $790 for a 1bdrm and I found a 2brdm with washer dryer connections for $830.

After going through this extreme weather The Place at Oak Hills provided care packages for their residents!!!! To me, this is priceless. I’ve lived here for 6 months and management is very engaged in their property. They’ve been communicative, friendly and definitely understanding. I haven’t had any issues whatsoever. If I could give them 10 stars I would!Update: Jorge is a great maintenance man! He is thorough and gets the job done!

Other than wishing I had washer and dryer connections everything is perfect. From the location of my apartment which Robert was kind enough to tell me how beautiful this particular apartment is especially because of all the big trees and beautifully clean landscape. I had chosen another apartment but he told me I’d love this one especially because of the scenery and he was right. I was welcomed with a little house warming gift, little things like this make this experience that much more awesome and home like. The staff makes u feel like family. I’ve yet to have any complaints whatsoever. I’m very happy here. 5 ⭐️

I want to be clear I do not live here but I am definitely considering it. My boyfriend however does and I helped him move in two months ago. I have talked to a few of the residents and they all seem very friendly. I have only been at the front desk once but fresh cookies..who can turn that down and they were quick about getting his mail to him. We did a walk around the place finally last week and saw the entire grounds. The only issues we have had are his shower seems to have low pressure (but it is a double shower head he is using) and they have had some online pay issues (his bill was about 100 dollars more than it should have been but they checked into it and corrected it within 20 minutes). Also his bedroom door does not like to close anymore but I am guessing that is a shift in the foundation. There are three pools the main one seems to be very busy but they do get cleaned every morning it seems. The exercise room seems to be up to date and the common area is very nice. The bathrooms were clean around the pools and they do keep the grounds clean. Since management has changed so have the complexes. All of his appliances work (dishwasher and stove that look new) and I have yet to see a bug. The neighborhood seems to be very quiet and he has had his motorcycle out the last two months and no one has even touched it. The gate does have some issues honestly but there seems to always be parking. This is a busy place and does have a lot of kids but has a very nice playground...it could use some swings but other than that it all seems good. This is from a small perspective I guess because there are 30 different complexes that we saw but I also know a few other people there and they have not complained either.

Ive been living here since January havent had the issues that everyone is describing. We dont have any bugs and the ladies in the office have always been nice to us. They handle the maintenance requests pretty disorganized so sometimes it does take longer to get stuff fixed but all in all it hasnt been a huge issue (we just call then it gets done). Oh and when the parking lots got paved they sent out flyers, emails, put flyers on our doors WEEKS in advance that we had to move our cars otherwise you will get towed (and they said with no reimbursement). This wasnt their fault, it was the fault of the person that chose to ignore all that. I recommend not living by the dog park as it always smells like poop but that is the fault of lazy tenants not picking up dog poop. Weve enjoyed our apartment and are staying another year. This area of town is really ideal.

We just moved in a couple months ago and were completely blown away. The maintenance man Jorge Cortez has helped us in two really weird situations! The first time he came out in the middle of the night when our door knob stopped working and we couldnt leave. He came out, helped us get out of the apartment with a temp knob, and then came on the next day to replace the temp knob with a real one.Today he dazzled us again. Last night half our electricity went out. Literally, only our kitchen lights and plugs were working, everything else was dark, it was very weird! This morning he came out, and he spent ALL DAY going in and out and checking each breaker one by one. And yall. HE FIXED IT.I also want to mention the property improvements. Ive never lived in a place where things got better as I lived there. This place has fixed the gate with an app, started noticable renovations (that so far have been reasonable and timely), and the landscaping is coming along great. The unsightly dead tree in front of my apartment was removed (I didnt even say anything!), and Im seeing seedlings come in. Im pleasantly surprised and very pleased. We look forward to the rest of the improvements, as we intend to call this place home for a while.

Maintenance is great here. I always see the maintenance crew walking around the apartments and they are always working hard. JC has been super friendly, considerate, and overall extremely helpful. With only one work JC helped with other maintenance issues around my apartment without hesitation. JC definitely deserves the recognition and a raise for being a great employee and a great person.

I moved in January of this year and have not had any problems like some of the other people have left reviews about. I have seen no bugs of any kind and the one maintenance request I had they fulfilled it within 24 hrs. Rene is the best! She is always so polite and willing to help. I enjoy the peace and quiet that I’ve had since I’ve been here. So two thumbs up from me!

The maintenance head Javier was super helpful in fixing our ac unit. We did have a few issues upon move in, and the office were a little, uncooperative but upon speaking with Javier, he got everything we needed fixed AND some. Talk to Javier if you need any assistance with the apartment maintenance.

I have lived here almost 10 years. Staff is wonderful. Maintenance always fix the problems. I seldom need maintenance, but when I report problems , the issue is resolved very promptly . Brian and Robert are the greatest. Michelle is very good and encourages the tenants to come to her with any priblems. I LOVE it here.

I love where I live, Robert in office is great and so is maintenance staff. But Robert Guillen is definitely the greatest, he is very responsive to any questions or concerns. All the gentlemen in maintenance are awesome even though I still have a hard time remembering all of their names thanks for the great jobs you guys do! I hope upper management is as good as Robert Guillen the leasing manager. Staff like this is what makes this place wonderful to live.

Since I have moved in back in August, I have nothing but good experiences at my place of residence. Renee is really helpful when it comes to putting in work orders for me. We have had certain problems such as a major leak in our hall bathroom but it was worked on in a timely fashion. I absolutely love living here.

Had a few issues that were quickly resolved the week we moved in and its been over a month and no big issues at all. So far so good, if anything changes I will update this rating. Very quiet, quiet neighbors, nice area, close to a ton of stores. Apartment is nice and everything is up to par.

I have lived here since November and have to say that reading the reviews made me not want to really check this place out. However i came and the staff has been more than accommodating. Absolutely nothing that other people have complained about on here, has happened since ive been here. The only thing is the gates are always open allowing for anyone to come in and ive received emails that they were working on the gates and well receive gate codes soon. It is primarily quiet until you hear peoples dogs barking on their early morning walks. Pretty normal place. I put in a ticket and maintenance comes right out. There havent been any break ins of cars as people have stated. No bed bugs, no infestations. Its a peaceful place to stay. Parking can be a little tight at night but thats all i really have to say. Theres 3 swimming pools and a small gym, although i dont reccommend their gym because its pretty small and only has 2 treadmills and one weight machine. Wish theyd have more. Its in a good area where absolutely nothing happens. Alon town center is in walking distance with an HEB PLus and a variety of up and coming restaraunts and businesses. A park located in walking distance where you can walk/jog. This place is pretty nice. They just need to close the gates. Thats it.

Had a air-conditioning water leak for 4 days. Made repeated maintenance request both on line and phone calls to office. Jorge (JC) was the Only person who showed any concern and worked after hours to fix it. If it was not for him this issue would not have been fixed. So thank you Jorge...they need more employees like you here who actually care about the residents.
