    Iā€™ve lived at The Marquis for 10 months, and my experience has been overwhelmingly positive. The management team is attentive and responsive, always quick to address any maintenance requests or concerns. The amenities are fantastic, from the well-maintained gym to the inviting pool area, making it easy to unwind after a long day.The community is friendly and welcoming, fostering a great neighborhood vibe. The grounds are beautifully landscaped, and I appreciate the regular upkeep that keeps everything looking fresh.Location is another highlight; Iā€™m close to shops, restaurants, and public transport, which adds to the convenience of living here. Overall, I highly recommend this apartment complex for anyone looking for a comfortable, well-managed place to call home.

    I spent a year at this place and no matter how hard I try, I canā€™t think of a bad thing to say. The leasing office staff and the maintenance team are responsible for my overwhelmingly positive experience at these apartments. All maintenance requests were responded to almost immediately, and any other issue I had would be handled by the front desk staff without any delay. The women in the front office went out of their way to make sure I had a good experience, even going so far as to offer feeding my cats when I was gone all day. The complex feels very safe and clean, and the maintenance team works their asses off all day (truly all day) to make sure of it. I had an issue with my microwave and the maintenance team ordered a new one and had it installed within a day. Getting packages in the luxer room is incredibly easy and I didnā€™t run into any issues. Parking is underground and thereā€™s always spots available with elevators going directly up to your floor. The sound proofing is solid, couldnā€™t hear my nextdoor neighbors,(only if youā€™re standing in the hallway), though I got lucky with my upstairs neighbor because I think they made sure not to stomp around. Sure, I wouldnā€™t have minded a little more space (I had a 1B1B), but youā€™re paying for the location and the complex is super nice. So to everyone at the Marquis, your effort and compassion are never overlooked and I canā€™t express my gratitude enough.

    Weā€™ve lived here for 3 years and genuinely never want to leave. Nikki and Judson are seriously so nice and care so much about the property. Maintenance is always incredible - all of the amenities are sparkling clean. The pool is perfect, dog park is sanitized every day, flowers and landscaping are refreshed often. The crowd is generally young, late 20s to early 30s, without being a loud atmosphere at all. Have never had a single problem with noise.State Thomas is a dream to live in - we walk literally everywhere. The location is insane.You can tell they actually care about the property and tenants. The only downside is when rent increases, but thatā€™s out of their control. Our increase was not bad at all this year and we are so grateful that we are able to stay another year!

    Marquis of State Thomas is a hidden gem in Uptown Dallas. It is accessible to bars, restaurants, groceries stores, The katy trail, and many other places, making it an amazing place to live given its location and walkability. In addition it has great amenities such as pools, hot tub, gym, dog park and a very pretty club house.Staff in the Marquis goes above and beyond to make your experience as comfortable and smooth as possible. For me, I moved during COVID times, I wasnā€™t able to see the apartment prior renting it, but Judson Watkins, went above and beyond, send me pictures and we were in constant communication, until I decided to rent it. Additionally, throughout the entire year year, Judson and the team of The Marquis State of Thomas, were also available for any questions regarding the apartment, visiting family members, or recommendations of things to do around the area.Additionally, they have a 24/7 day service for maintenance, is something happens to your apartment, they have your back.Living here for the past year was amazing without any complaint. If I were to move to Dallas again, I would definitely choose to stay here again.

    Absolutely loved living here! Apartment was is great condition, building and landscaping were well kept, hallways were consistently vacuumed. I lived on the first floor and felt very safe, not much noise from neighbors or the street. Maintence was extremely helpful, friendly, and prompt. Great amenities. Office staff was engaging, friendly and knowledgeable. My dog absolutely loved all of them and they went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The best apartment complex I have ever lived at and if I wasnā€™t moving states I would stay as long as I could. From moving in to moving out my experience here was a 10/10 xx

    Marquis of State Thomas ā€“ A Hidden Gem in State Thomas!From even before my stay at the Marquis of State Thomas, Iā€™ve had nothing but great things to say!After a bad experience with the leasing process at another local apartment, I coincidentally found the Marquis of State Thomas on Google Maps and decided to give them a call. Unable to visit in person, I was sent a video tour of the unit, and the team was very attentive throughout the process. The application to contract process was completed in just three days, thanks to Allie, the leasing manager!My experience living at the Marquis has been equally warm and welcoming. The apartment is clean, secure, and responsive to maintenance requests. On move-in day, my maintenance needs were addressed immediately and all other requests have been addressed within 2 business days. The building also offers free underground parking for residents, and all buildings and facilities are key-fob access only. Packages are secured in a package locker room, which prevents theft.The location of the Marquis also adds to its charm. Itā€™s convenient for those who work downtown, just one block from Klyde Warren Park and a Whole Foods. For those who enjoy social nights, itā€™s a block away from McKinney Avenueā€”close enough to the action but quiet enough for those who prefer to stay at home. The neighborhood also offers a nice contrast to downtown, with plenty of trees and everyday services like cute coffee shops, a dentist, Uptown Yoga, and a pet supply store.Allie has also been very helpful with my move-out process, discussing options since I unfortunately had to end my lease early.In summary, my time at the Marquis of State Thomas has been nothing short of fantastic, and Iā€™m so grateful to Allie for making the entire process smooth and enjoyable. If youā€™re considering a move, I highly encourage you to visit or give them a callā€”you wonā€™t be disappointed!

    I have lived here since 2020 and we love living here! The office staff are so friendly and really get to know you. Only reason itā€™s not 5-star is because the pool and hot tub could be nicer. The pool doesnā€™t look like itā€™s been cleaned all summer and the hot tub is not in the best shape.

    I moved out last August and didnt bother writing a review until now but I loved living here. I lived here for 13 months and dont recall any negative experiences -- far better than I can say for any other complex Ive lived at. Ive never really missed an apartment complex before I left this one.Pros:- Management is *fantastic*. Theyre friendly, helpful, and courteous. Hopefully Judson still works there because he is phenomenal.- Rooms are nice and have good appliances (I had real hardwood floors)- Maintenance is prompt and effective.- Excellent area. Groceries are a block away, and Griggs park is a great place to walk in the afternoon.- No valet trash! The grounds are kept clean.Con (relatively minor):- In the main building (which you may or may not live in), theres only one elevator and it can be unreliable at times. It was never a huge issue and there are only 4 floors so its not terrible.Middle:- The on-site gym is a little small, and theres only one smith machine to serve as a rack, but thats more than a lot of apartment gyms can attest to. I used it as my primary gym and could always get a pretty good workout in.5/5 stars

    Toured here not long ago and the staff was excellent! Very informative and friendly, more so than most of the experiences in dallas so far. Although life has forced me elsewhere, I wouldve loved to live here. I am highly satisfied and would recommend to anyone looking for a nice clean place to stay in Dallas!

    My daughter Lauren lived in Marquis State Thomas and loved every minute of it. Management, especially Allie and the rest of the team were so accommodating, helpful and went over and beyond to help her settle in. Moving out was a very similar experience.     The Marquis of State Thomas is the BEST place to live. The leasing consultants and maintenance staff are very friendly and are always there for you anytime you need, and they go above and beyond to answer any question and truly make it a wonderful experience for each resident. When I first moved to Dallas, the Marquis was my first choice to tour and I immediately knew this place was the right fit. Great location - with a short walk to downtown, parks, and restaurants nearby. The apartments are modern and in great condition, along with amazing amenities such as the beautiful pool and fitness center. Very pleased to call this place home!

    Moved to Dallas after accepting a job offer and was browsing apartments when I came across Marquis of State Thomas, where it very quickly became my first choice. The staff there are incredibly friendly and helpful both in person, on the phone, and in emails. They readily answered any questions I had and offered helpful tips navigating the leasing process. The residents are very friendly and there are monthly community events to get to know everyone. There are also a lot of amenities to take advantage of like the pool with space to grill and lounge, gym, indoor lounge with printer, etc. The apartments are great and in great condition when I moved in. They had applied new coats of paint to the space as well. My experience with maintenance has been great too as they responded quickly to the service requests I submitted and were very nice as well.

    The Marquis of State Thomas has been my favorite apartment to live in thus far. The leasing staff are the sweetest, and try their best to remember the residents and their pets.The location is top tier. Its close to everything yet feels somewhat secluded with lots of surrounding trees and homes. The area feels very safe for being so central.The amenities are always clean and in great condition. Good fitness room thats never super crowded, pool and hot tub, common area (with printer), package room, mail room, etc.. They even provided wrapping supplies for free int the common area for the month of December. Very helpful! Oh, and lets not forget the free underground parking garage!The maintenance staff is also fantastic. I had to use the 24/7 emergency maintenance hotline once at 9pm and they immediately came and took care of the issue.The one and only downside is the slow elevator. It makes moving in a long process. It would be nice to have a quicker elevator or a service elevator.All in all, I love living here.

    We have lived here for a month and absolutely love it! The leasing staff is so helpful - Judson was fantastic to work with when moving in, and Cannon is super responsive. The property itself is well-maintained and in a great location. We are in walking distance to a ton of diverse restaurants and all of the site-seeing attractions are nearby downtown. I also personally appreciate all CWS offers us as residents - free parking, free fitness classes, and lots of socials / property events. So grateful we found CWS when moving to Dallas!

    We have been living here for about 4 months now. The experience has been wonderful. The location is top notch (we moved from out of state never having been to Dallas, and have not found any other spots in the city where weā€™d rather be). The staff is friendly and responsive. The amenities are clean and generally always available when you want to use them. The maintenance is very friendly and helpful. They even sent us a Halloween gift bag with goodies for our pet. Itā€™s a convenient walk to downtown, uptown, and you can catch the trolley easily too. The only thing I would like to see which is small is some sort of bike storage, but compared to other things that is minimal. When we have friends come visit they are always very impressed.

    Ive lived at this complex for almost 2 years and wouldnt change a thing! I cant say enough about the staff - the leasing office is always so kind and welcoming. They are also very dog friendly - if my dog Nova could write a review herself, she would. The maintenance team is very responsive and efficient - but Ive rarely had to put in maintenance requests because the complex and units are very well taken care of. I would recommend this complex to anyone looking to move to downtown dallas and especially State Thomas!

    The management is friendly, very professional, and on top of their job. The management team here definitely makes the world of a difference, they are the best! They keep the complex safe, all of the amenities are always clean and kept up such as the gym and pool. Any service request is usually fixed the same day.     I have absolutely loved living here! My husband and I have lived here for 2 years and would continue to stay here if we hadnt bought a house. Our apartment has been reasonably priced for the area, the front office staff is nice and very responsive, and any maintenance request weve had has been handled within 24 hours (except Sunday when they are closed, but I have seen maintenance here on Sundays responding to emergency requests so theyll definitely be here if you need them!). The pool gets great sun pretty much all day, and weve made many meals at the grills by the pool. Theres plenty of parking in the garage and on the streets around the complex. The gym is small but Ive rarely seen more than 3 people in there at a time. And theres a small dog yard if you have a pup!After having an awful experience at another complex in the neighborhood, we have been so so happy with our experience at the Marquis. Definitely recommend!

    The property is wonderful. I really enjoy living here. The neighborhood is awesome. The staff is quick to respond to any requests, questions, concerns. Judson is AMAZING! From the initial visit/tour to move in and my current residency, heā€™s been attentive, professional, kind and goes above and beyond to make sure I am satisfied with my experience. The property is very well maintained, quiet, peaceful and clean. The only qualm I have is the parking garage. Itā€™s a little creepy and the spaces are super tiny, but at least itā€™s available and not a separate fee!!! If youā€™re looking for a place to call home, I do highly recommend The Marquis. Iā€™ve been treated so well and Iā€™ve not had a bad experience since moving here.

    Iā€™ve lived here for a little over 6 months and have nothing but great reviews. Everyone at the front office is very accommodating and attentive. Not only this but they also go above and beyond to create a sense of community with different events and always posting fun things that go on in state Thomas. Any time I ever reach out or just walk down there, Iā€™m helped right away! This is my first apartment after college and even though I live alone I always feel safe which is important to me. The entire property from the gym to the pool to the garage is always clean which also makes me happy.

    I lived in this community for about two years. While the property is a bit older, they do a good job maintaining the grounds and making sure it is clean. They staff is friendly and easy to work with. The new package delivery system is a great benefit. My only compliant is likely related to the age of the property - the elevator in my building stopped working multiple times throughout my stay.

    My first month living here has been great! The leasing office staff (Nikki in particular) is extremely helpful and kind. My only complaints so far are the elevators are a bit slow and the parking garage gate doesnā€™t always open right away when using your fob, but neither are a huge deal.     Marquis of State Thomas became my home a year and a half ago. Thanks to the wonderful leasing office employees, I had very great memories, Ive been treated so well since the day I moved here. I wrote a google review right away in the first month of last year. The great thing is nothing has changed in my opinion in this year and a half. Leasing employees is the best team ever.. John, Judson, and Nikki (Hi Guys!) are superheroes! They remember every little detail. We receive notes on our birthdays, Christmas and Halloween. We received little surprises on our doors as well. I dont have an animal, but every month a new dog is getting awarded just because they are a good girl or a good boy..I moved here from California due to my work, and I didnt know anything about Dallas. In fact, I thought I would miss my home there so much. I had an apartment in California with Greystar management, and I dont remember any type of memories like here.Before seeing the Marquis of State Thomas, I was thinking of moving to the Towers in this area, but I saw the reviews, and I wanted to see the Marquis of State Thomas. Today I am very happy with my decision. The leasing team of Marquis of State Thomas was very kind and caring from the first day, very nice crew, had patience, was well educated, and was very professional. I can say that the management is so responsible. They are open to help in every way, they follow things closely. One of the nice details is the activities.. The leasing team offers a free taco truck, a free homemade ice cream truck, and a goodbye summer party to the residents.Other superhero teams are our maintenance! They deserve the greatest appreciation. Although there are many residences in this apartment complex, everything is kept very tidy and very clean. Jorge catches all maintenance services on the same day! Being able to keep the environment so clean where so many people live. That is impressive!THAT SHOWS their HARD work.In addition, visually our apartments are decorated very nicely. All my friends who come to this complex admire this complex. The lighting in the hallway, the way Lobby and Lounge, and the gym look very nice.Our elevators work very well, we have never had a water problem, and our heating and cooling systems are working perfectly. The walls are soundproof. You never hear a sound from next door. Our vehicles are safe in our garage. An officer and a private security visit our building every night. The buildings are so quiet and the neighbors are respectful.Also, we are in a great location. I think its one of the most elite places in Dallas. Nightlife and restaurants are just a few blocks away. We dont have to pay a lot for Uber.The interior of our apartments is remodeled. Hardwood floors and remodeled cabinets look very elegant. Decorating and spending time at home is very enjoyable. My friends usually hang out at my house as the meeting point.Ive never lived in CWS apartments before, but thanks to Marquis of State Thomas, CWS apartments have been my number one management. I would definitely like to live in any other branch in the future or I would recommend it to my friends.Funda..

    Iā€™m quite familiar with this property having lived in the area for several years. The location is convenient to tons of great restaurants and bars but stays off the main path so you can actually get some sleep at night, they have a beautiful pool with a stunning view of downtown, and all the common areas have recently been renovated and look awesome. There are a ton of different floor plan options and different sizes of apartments to fit your needs. The staff is super friendly and responsive and truly cares about the people who live here. I highly recommend checking out Marquis of State Thomas!

    I am moving here in 2 weeks. So far my experience (in communications) has been great. Lauren is very responsive and helpful. She answered all my questions promptly and kindly. Super excited for the move!EDIT: I finally moved here! The whole process has been super easy. I was pretty nervous when moving to a new state as a young professional but the management (Lauren) has exceeded my expectations. My apartment is also very cozy and has everything I wanted. The residence overall is really beautiful and clean (especially the lounge with pool view), gives resort vibes. Hoping that my experience gets better and better!

    The location is perfect, right in the middle of the State Thomas neighborhood which is absolutely gorgeous and serene. Within walking distance to Uptown bars and restaurants, Whole Foods, etc. Maintenance does a great job in keeping up with the grounds and the landscaping is beautiful. The only complaint I have is their package system. When I moved in (back in 2020) I was told they were implementing the package locker system. I was there for a year and they never did so. The way your packages are delivered/stored is underneath a desk right in the main lobby where anyone can access it during office hours. When office hours close, they put it in a locked door which is super inconvenient if you are unable to retrieve it during the day. You do have the option for the leasing office to keep it underneath the desk at night, but to have to contact them each time a package is delivered and to have it sit there at night is not ideal and unsafe. They also do not notify you when a package comes, so you have to constantly contact them about it. I since moved and hope that they have finally got the package lockers and if not, I highly advise you do. For the price of rent, its ridiculous that they dont have this as almost every other apartment in the area with the same price point has this system.

    I have lived here for 5 years and HIGHLY recommend this apartment complex. I have referred friends here and the only reason why I am moving is I am getting married and moving into a house. This is a gem in the middle of Uptown. Excellent location, walking distance to Katy Trail Ice House, Whole Foods, Katy Trail, Sixty Vines, Griggs Park, etc. I was so happy with this apartment for the 5 years I lived in Uptown.

    Apartment could use a touch up, and more modern appliances, however the property management is some of the best Iā€™ve seen.There is need for a updated Gym given that there nothing within walking distance, the whole point of living Uptown is all about no needing to drive anywhere for the basics.Hands down youā€™re not going to regret living here.

    First of all, this review is only based on the experience prior to the move-in.As someone looking at apartments while living in another state, Judson was extremely helpful in pin-pointing the unit that matches all of my needs. He was very responsive in email communication, and provided thorough information during the virtual tour while maintaining a genuine and professional attitude. Later when I had to pull my application due to the change in timeline, he was able to assist in a timely manner and was very understanding of my change of circumstance.

    Ive been here for almost a year now, and I just renewed my lease for another. I havent had any major issues. The maintenance guy is quick and super friendly, and the office staff have been helpful and friendly as well. The tenants seem to be mature young professionals. The parking garage is pretty much full, but it usually feels like Im the only occupant in my unit/building.The only downsides Ive encountered so far, FYI:- The units may have been remodeled in a bit of a hurry. One of my cabinet doors cant be opened, another wasnt fully screwed and it fell, uneven floor, and minor fit/finish/paint imperfections.- Whenever it rains, multiple large bodies of water accumulate in the garage. Half of the time the maintenance guy spreads them out to dry with a leaf blower, but theres still a significant algae/mold growth in my corner of the garage.- Theres only 1 entry/exit (2 gates) into/out of the garage

Ive lived in multiple apartments in Dallas and this apartment complex was hands down the best. The staff is friendly, extremely helpful, and were always available/responded quickly to any request which was very important with my busy work schedule. The location is tucked away in State and Allen so its walking distance to Uptown, Kylde Warren, Griggs Park and Whole Foods. Fun scene, excellent staff, and great price for location.

    My wife and I toured. Kannin is very responsive to communications and was very informative on our tour. The complex was very neat and tidy compared to others we visited. The flat was clean and good quality. It is in a good neighbourhood that is quiet, but close to eateries and supermarkets.

My air conditioning was not properly cooling at 10 pm on a Sunday and the team was extremely responsive and fixed the problem within minutes.     This place is great, hands down. Staff is fantastic to work with, always happy and eager to talk to you and help you with anything you need. Apartments are very clean and well priced for the area (best bang for your buck). Youre down the street from Renfields and the rest of mckinney avenue (social house has the best brunch FYI), and theres even a coffee shop just a few steps away. Very young professional crowd and everyone is respectful. Never had a problem with noise, either being too noisy or having noisy neighbors. I say that after having had pregames, watching movies loud at night, listening to music in the living room, etc... Thick walls. View from the balcony is 10/10. Thanks Marquis!

    The Marquis of State Thomas is a recently built, ā€œvillage styleā€ set of complexes in a socially strong area of Uptown. The area is actually on a more residential block, with single family houses, and converted office buildings primarily. It is a mature street with a lot of greenery and great sidewalks for enjoying the outdoors.There are 9 buildings in total at the Marquis. One building is the MAIN building, and it includes higher finish out levels (hardwoods, etc.) and direct access to the AMENITIES (pool, gym, etc.). Four of these small buildings are called the COLBY buildings, and they have JUST one bedrooms. The other 4 buildings are TOWNHOME buildings. Most in the main building have hardwoods.The COLBY buildings have the least expensive prices, but have a lower degree of finish out. They are good values overall. (Only the first floor in Colby have hardwoods.) The one bedrooms in the MAIN building will give you a better social connectivity and they are very attractive, but they cost more.The Marquis of State Thomas has just a few weak spots:ā€¢ No walk in showers ā€“ Most of the apartment floor plans do NOT have walk in showers. This feature make things easier and I personally prefer it over the standard ā€œtub/showerā€ combo.ā€¢ Easy than Preferred Access ā€“ The gates are controlled by key fobs and so are the hallways. But, it is easy for non-residents to enter through the townhome buildings. And, the townhome building doors directly face the open street.
