    Rebeca is so awesome! The tour with her was great, she is so nice, friendly and professional, answered all our questions and helped to choose the unit that best works for us. She made application process as easy as possible, explaining every step in details. The Abbey property is beautiful, lots of flowers and greenery that make it so peaceful and inviting. The apartments are clean and well designed 👍Little update after living for 5 months here - we are loving it! Management is great and José is so awesome! Service requests are being reviewed and processed almost immediately in such a friendly and professional manner. And special events organized by the Management team are amazing! Kids really enjoy them and Fridays, when they get treats at the office ☺️ Thank you so much! 😊

    I toured Abbey at Barker Cypress just over two weeks ago. While my wife and I wont become tenants due to a scheduling conflict with our move-in date, I want to take a moment to commend the complex. After extensive research, it easily ranks among the top three living spaces for those seeking larger, quieter apartments that are also conveniently located. My interactions with Jeannette and Abigail were outstanding; they provided excellent service and engaged in meaningful conversations to meet our needs. The amenities, including a movie theater and an indoor basketball court, were particularly impressive. I deeply appreciate the experience and will definitely consider Abby Baker Cypress as a future residence.

    Ive been living at the Abbys at Barker Cypress for almost a year now, and overall my experience has been positive. One of the things I appreciate the most is the quietness of the community, which creates a peaceful environment- something that is very important to me. The property is well maintained, and any maintenance request I have had were handled promptly and professionally.A special mention goes to Abigail, who is always going above and beyond to ensure residents are happy. Shes excellent at what she does, and is excellent at problem solving and always addresses concerns with a friendly and cheerful attitude. Her dedication really makes a difference.Miguel, the maintenance man, is also a standout. He is super helpful and does an excellent job maintaining our community. Whenever I was having an issue with my remote fob he quickly responded to help me and ensured everything was taken care of and efficiently.The amenities are awesome, Ive enjoyed using them, especially the pool. The staff in general is friendly.The location is also convenient with easy access to shopping center and and park.If youre looking for a quiet well-kept place to live I would recommend to check out The Abbey

    I recently visited The Abbey Apartments without calling ahead, and I was fortunate to meet Abigail, the leasing agent at the front desk. Despite my unannounced visit, she was incredibly kind, welcoming, and friendly. Abigail took the time to answer all of my questions thoroughly and even gave me a tour of the property.     When I was looking for an apartment The Abbey at Barker Cypress was the only apartments I did a tour with and I am so happy I did! (I have not lived in an apartment in 27 years, I wanted to down size) I have a one bedroom and it is very spacious and cozy. The complex is quiet. Also affordable. My leasing agent is Abigail and she is the sweetest person I have met in a long time! The entire office staff is kind! Abigail is very thoughtful and cares for residents. I highly recommend The Abbey at Barker Cypress, you will feel at home here!

    So grateful for this place. I moved in at the start of the year and they have been nothing short of great and accommodating. Theyve got good people working there. Ms. Jeanette is so personable and genuine. She really makes this place feel like home and she manages it great. Abigail does things with such sweet care and Rebecca is so sharp and hardworking. Everyone is knowledgeable and always do their best to help.

    I am not a resident just yet, but I am really looking forward to our new home being with The Abbey! Rebeca is just phenomenal even before my fiancé and I came in to tour! She was so informative on the application process and while touring she was even more amazing; Explaining to us everything from choosing the best electric provider to the productiveness and attention to detail the maintenance team and property manger puts into managing the grounds👍🏼 The landscaping is just beautiful, we really felt at home already.With the experience we received, we really hope that we can move in sooner than our expected move in date!

    I just moved to the Abbey at BC and absolutely love the property. My experience from touring to leasing to move in has been flawless thanks to Abigail!! She immediately made us feel at home when my daughter & I toured. She gave us her full attention, did not rush, answered ALL my questions/concerns & showed us all the property had to offer.     My husband and I chose our apartment from viewing the floor plans and virtual tour online. Rebecca in the office is the best! She helped me fill out all of the necessary paperwork over the phone. Maintenance man Jose came to repair minor issues that needed attention. We look forward to living here for a very long time.

    Been here for 3 months now. I like to live and experience before leaving a review. The move-in process was so simplistic due to the property manager Jeanette. Very knowledgeable, helpful and timely in getting documentation and paperwork handled. Love my apartment. The floor plan fits me perfectly. Good neighborhood and neighbors. Trash service is on point as well. Still waiting on Abigail to utilize her free month pass with us at LA Fitness. That’s what I love most my job is one exit away. Come visit ladies! LA Fitness behind Applebees!

    We lived at The Abbey for 3.5 years after moving from Dallas. We left to get our son into a specific school and to have more space (were a family of 5, so we needed room).Pros: Jeanette, the property manager, is hands down the best. Shes super friendly, knows everyone by name, and keeps the place looking great. The neighbors are awesome too—always checking in and being kind. Maintenance is quick to fix things.Cons: Theyre not great at answering the phone or texts, so you often have to go to the office for answers.Overall, if you want a family-friendly spot near the city and in Katy ISD, The Abbey is the way to go. Thanks, Jeanette, and all our neighbors, for a great time!

    I have lived in this property for one year and moved because bought a house, and it has been great experience! The neighbors are nice, the management is friendly! Especially Rebecca, Abby and Jeanette! The location is convenient, close to everywhere, and even parks. There is an indoor basketball court that you can use which is very fun! But the only downside is the court can only be used during office hours. Overall, highly recommend this property!

    I am so happy I have moved here. My whole experience for the past 3 years have been so pleasant. Jeanette is the best manager hands down!!! The maintenance comes very quickly when things happen in our apartment. They give us plenty of notice for anything and everything going on in the apartment complex. Im sad to go but had to due to a Job loss. Other wise I would be here again.A really great place to live!

    Abbey (the leasing agent) at the Abbey !!!!!! Where do I start ? She was amazing, gracious, curious, kind & had hands down the best customer service I’ve ever experienced. She explained the prices was very thorough and even took the time to show us two apartments. I’m considering moving here just because of her customer service. These apartments were beautiful and because Abby was so quick and responsive. I know things will get handled as soon as possible. Thanks ABBEY !!! You deserve a raise!!!!!

    I have not moved in yet, but babbbbyyyyy let me tell you the agent REBECCA I like her a lot!! She’s very very helpful, communication is top tier with her seriously. Jeanette as well! Their energy alone makes me wanna move here! I live 15 hours away currently but I move in soon. Because I couldn’t tour in person Rebecca sent me videos so I could somewhat get the tour experience. From other reviews as well this seems like it’s gonna work out great for me! 10 minutes away from my job. I can’t wait to move in! If you decide to go here, ask for Rebecca!

    The best apartments and the best attention from the office. Weve only been living here for a short time, but everything has been amazing.     Not a resident yet, but I had such a good time touring the Abbey. The apartments are so beautiful and they look like actual homes so they take that apartment feel away. They were beautiful amenities like the theater room, basketball, court, and the pool. They also have a gym and a playground as well as a dog park. Rebecca and Jeanette were very friendly and I could tell that they really care about their potential residents. Hopefully I will be becoming a future resident of the Abbey.

    We’ve lived here for more than 5 months. It is such a nice, clean, and welcoming place. The experience is outstanding, thanks to the ladies Jeannette, Nan, and Stephanie. It’s our first time moving to an apartment in a rush, I was a bit stressed out but Stephanie’d made the application process very straightforward and efficient. She’s an incredibly nice and helpful person, whenever I have questions or need to get something fixed. Jeannette is professional and always greets us with a big warm smile. She’s very friendly and gives out useful tips. Her goal is to make us feel like home. She cares about the people who live here and even cares about my puppy! Nan has always been so kind and helpful, whenever we visit the office and have questions. She is also incredibly patient and calm. She took her time to break down the details on my bills and explain them to me. They also have some monthly events or special occasions for all of us to get together with free foods and nice treats. The only thing I think would be nice to have (my suggestion) is maybe a weekly trash pick-up service, so I dont have to bring big bag(s) of trash to the dumpster since we’re on the third floor. I would highly recommend the Abbey and their management team! We’ll definitely renew our contract for another year.

    My husband and I lived at the Abbey for just over a year. We loved it! The apartments are beautiful, the grounds always look great, and the staff is so helpful. Jeannette (the Manager) always has a smile and a kind word for everyone, and goes out of her way to introduce people in the community so you can make friends. She makes a huge community of strangers feel more like a friendly neighborhood. And Nan (Assistant Manager) was so helpful during our move in; The Abbey was only second on our list of six communities to see, but after touring with her, we didnt even look at any others.We loved living there & only left because we moved out of the country. Check it out! You wont regret it.

Abigail has helped us out from the beginning and has been very nice and helpful. She answers my texts and questions even if it’s not during working hours.     If youre looking for a new apartment home here make sure you speak to Amanda!!! She is absolutely great. I leased a 3bedroom 2bathroom about 60days ago and she has been super pleasant every step of the way. She even made sure to help me locate a missing package that had my furniture in it (I was freaking out because it was delivered earlier than originally determined forever grateful) customer service at its finest okay!Even when a couple of things hit the fan with another office staff member at the community, she kept me at ease and I really just cant thank her enough. THE REASON WHY IM LITERALLY STILL HERE. I hope she received my gift and enjoys it :) Keep up the great attitude Amanda!

    I have been very happy living in this complex for 4+ years! I was here through Harvey (though not on the first floor) and nothing has made me want to leave. This is one of the nicest complexes in the area for the price, space, and amenities it offers. My husband and I are about to move out of state, and we feel like we have been spoiled with the type of apartment we have grown used to! You cant beat the storage space and kitchen size in even the 1 bedroom units.The manager, Jeanette, is very personable and friendly and knows us and our dog by name. We have had no problem communicating with her and with maintenance about our needs and concerns over the years. We were very impressed with how maintenance helped us out and with the complex taking the care to update our appliances in the middle of COVID - they made it happen! This place has felt like home in so many ways, and it will be hard to leave!

Not only were the apartments beautiful and the amenities very nice, but Abigail was so courteous to my roommates and me and she was very knowledgable.     I’ve been living at the Abbey for over 3 years now and I love it (hence sticking around for so long!) I love that cable/internet is included in the amenities. I think prospective residents should definitely try to live on the 3rd floor, or a 2nd floor without a 3rd on top if concerned about noise. We had some issues in our second floor unit, but now I’m in a 3rd floor unit and it is SO much quieter. The ladies in the office are great and now we have a package service so we don’t have to wait around in the office for packages anymore. Our maintenance staff is TRULY the best around and I feel no hesitation letting them have my alarm codes to go in my unit while I’m gone. My neighbors have dogs and the hair can get everywhere on our landing and sticks to my doormat, and I came home to a totally cleaned breezeway and doormat! I think there are a lot of people here who, like me, have been here for a while and I really like that. I also LOVE the spacious floor plans on the ends of the buildings.

    I am currently living at the Abbey, and I must say I love it here. There is always peace and quiet. Its a safe place to live, trust me I have 2 kids and before choosing the Abbey this was at the top of my list of concerns, also i have to add that the school my daughter goes to is considered Katy ISD and is listed as #21 of the top schools to attend for the whole state of Texas. The neighbors are very pleasant and respectful. The apartments are a good size. The office staff Jeanette and Josh are always so helpful with residents needs and the maintenance guys Jose and Miguel always get the job done when a maintenance request is submitted they are really excellent at their job. This is a great community, dont let one bad review make you determine this isnt the place for you. Those bad reviews come from people who arent even residents here at the Abbey.

    Really great location and convenient for me! I love everything about this apartment complex. I have wonderful neighbors aswell. I can’t wait too see what this summer brings at this apartment complex. Jeanette (manager) is such a sweetheart! I think NaN and Stephanie are great people as well and very helpful.     I truly enjoy living at The Abbey at Barker Cypress. It’s a quiet and CLEAN community. One of the neighborhood cats left a “present” at my front door (a bird). lol Without me mentioning anything, I came home one day to notice that the area had been pressure washed. My apartment is truly luxurious and spacious. You can tell that they make sure that pests are kept away to the best of their abilities on a regular basis. I have not seen even ONE roach whether I’m indoor or outdoor since I’ve moved in on January. It is now June. I occasionally see my neighbors walking their dogs outside my veranda. Yet, I never ran into dog waste. The maintenance staff always look happy. You can tell they take pride in caring for the apartment. There are beautiful plants surrounding my building, and I live in the back. As a public servant (Special Education Teacher) for a school district and a Japanese native (born in Japan. My mom is Japanese but my dad is from Texas) , I appreciate when someone takes pride in their job. It relates to my culture. They throw ice cream & nacho socials which I have yet to attend, but will soon now that I’m on summer break! This place is truly peaceful and love coming home here after a long day.

    I have lived in the Abbeys for a year now and I am about to re-sign a lease for another 7 months. The only reason im moving out this summer is because I have an opportunity to save money with a family friend. I would highly recommend these apartments to anyone!!! Wifi and cable is included in the rent which is extremely helpful and convenient. The staff is very attentive and ive always had my maintenance requests completed within a day or two! Not to mention Jeannette (property manager) has been extremely accommodating to all of my needs ever since I moved in!!

    I moved here from out of state and I can say that these ladies that manage this place made it easier for me. They are very understanding and patient and Mrs Jeanette was amazing with my littles. It makes me happy that she and Nann love to see them when we pass through the office or just on the complex. The littles love the park and love walking around and seeing outside. They also plan little events like an Easter egg hunt this passed Easter which was really exciting!! And I can’t even express enough how I love my apartment!I also have to say that the team does fix anything within a timely manner and they are all very sweet!! My oven stopped heating up and it was an easy and quick fix. Very convenient.

    I simply love it here. Its quiet, the gates stay locked, management is understanding and maintenance is very helpful. Ive lived here since 2015 and never had any problems that werent fixed in 24 hours. The layouts are beautiful, in unit laundry and they have attached garages! Youre missing out if you dont think this place is a possibility. You get a whole lot of bang for your buck.

    Overall I liked my time at the Abbey at Barker Cypress, but there are definitely pros and cons:Pros :Good location just off of I10 near Katy. Its also a short (7 minute) drive to the Addicks Park & Ride if youre looking to commute downtown on the comfy Metro express buses.There are also plenty of restaurants and just about every kind of grocery- and box-store you could need within a 5-10 minute drive.The location also feels quiet and isolated even though its just about a quarter mile off of the interstate.If youre the type who wants to ride your bike or go jogging, first of all hats off to ya. I dont know how anyone can spend more than 15 minutes outside in Houston without turning into a puddle. That said, there are large parks with bike paths just north and about a quarter mile south of the property. Theres also a relatively quiet neighborhood to the north to walk/jog through.The management was exceptionally friendly and nice and great to work withThe property staff also does an impressive job at trying to foster a sense of community, with a web site for meeting your neighbors and snack/dinner events (taco night, movie night, etc.)Cons:The elephant in the room: The property is on the outskirts of the Addicks reservoir and on the wrong side of the dam wall. I was living there during the Tax Day floods of 2016 when the six western-most buildings on the property (including the clubhouse) were flooded, displacing virtually everyone on the first floor of those buildings for months as well as sending about half of the cars in the complex (including mine) to a watery grave. The complex was hit worse during Harvey a year later and apparently they had some flooding in 2015 too. Thats 3 damaging floods in 3 years. Its entirely possible that its just a statistical anomaly and the complex will be flood-free for the next hundred years, but if youre thinking of moving there youd be wise to consider a 2nd or 3rd story apartment or at least be aware of the potential risk on the first floor.While the staff was great to work with once I moved in, it was pretty difficult getting in touch with them when I was looking for a place to live. I was doing my apartment shopping from several hundred miles away, trying to arrange visits at various apartment complexes on the 1 day I would be in town to find housing. My emails and phone messages inquiring about availability went unanswered. I had to show up in person to get someone to talk to me.Theres only one garbage dumpster and it seemed to overflow a lot. It wasnt a big deal for me because my apartment was a minute walk away from it. But if you lived on the far west or far east side of the complex it was a hike to get your garbage there and often times once you did youd find it overflowing. It would have been preferable if they had more locations and/or emptied out the one they had more frequentlyA little of both:The apartments that sit directly above the garages are a great deal in terms of space-per-dollar. HOWEVER at least in my building there wasnt much in the way of sound insulation between my floor and the garages below. Every time one of the five garage doors opened or closed below my apartment it sounded like a coffee bean grinder going off somewhere. It was a little annoying that the person who had the garage directly below the master bedroom always seemed to be coming home at around 2AM, but it was something I got used to eventually. I found it was worth the trade off of having a bigger apartment for a smaller price, but if youre especially sensitive to sound you may feel otherwise.

    Office and maintenance team are all very accommodating and friendly. Jeannette and the team will go out of their way to ensure you are taken care of. I would recommend The Abbey at Barker Cypress to anyone! Proud to call this home!

    In the next month I will be moving to this community. At first I had doubts and fear for certain reviews I read. But when I went to guide me, everything changed. Stephanie and Jannette gave us the necessary time and high quality. The facilities and the apartments are nice. We hope that when we get to live, even exceed our expectations.

I have visited lot of apartment complex in the last month, I have to say Joshs professionalism, made this apartment complex number one on my list. Though he was the only one working in the office which was very busy he made sue took to address each persons needs or concerns. Thanks

    Top notch complex with amazing people! Jose especially with answering calls and helping out with maintance. He came late one night to fix my air conditioner and i must say it was a pleasure for these guys to help out around here. The office was a big help with helping me move in and move out and i couldnt be more greatful to choose The Abbey!
