Ashley was super helpful and friendly despite giving tours one behind the other. She gave us a complete tour of the gorgeous community, gave us all the time we needed and pleasantly answered all of our questions. The apartment we looked at was beautifully staged, and I can easily envision my furniture placement. The pool was amazingly sparkling, the lake/pond was beautiful and serene with a white crane(?) The spa room Jacuzzi, sauna, steam was immaculate and inviting. The spacious patio/views of pool/lake/pond are spectacular. No parking stickers/towing to be concerned about for guests. I filled out my application on the spot and am hoping for approval so I can move in.

I’ve had such a good experience living here at Sync! The management here is always very nice and attentive to my needs. Even switching units midway through my lease, they made it as simple as possible for me and I really appreciated it. Worth every penny considering the amenities! I would give more stars if I could.

I have not lived there yet, but this is a place you need to check out. There are issues, no place is perfect, but are trite and solvable as well as have kind and attentive management willing to solve problems and work with you. Today, I spoke with Vanessa Arroyo the PM she makes you want to live there . Vanessa went over and above and even laughed on my slightly inappropriate comments and dad jokes. We saw 5 apartments, 4 bodies of water, 3 dear, 2 landlords and 1 Howard … it was a grand adventure!! If you are interested in a new place they are running a great special and have some additional incentives until Feb.7th Ask for Vanessa Arroyo, then tell her “ Crystal sends Maria her love!” 🩷 Thanks again Vanessa you made my day!

I lived here for 7 months and it was absolutely amazing. The cleanest place, the amenities were stunning, and the staff alwayssssss went above and beyond to make sure everything went well. Even after I moved out, they went and saved my packages to make sure they got to me. Ashley, Jairo, and Vanessa… yall were always amazing to me and made everything so easy. If you want to have supreme customer service and insane amenities, live here.

Very pleasant place to live with excellent pool, gym, hot tub, sauna etc. Maintenance is excellent at fixing any issues promptly and the ladies and gentlemen in the office are always very nice and friendly and helpful. Living here has been very good to us in our time here.

I havent had a bad experience yet. This is miles ahead of student housing. Maintenence is incredibly responsive and knowledgeable. They also offer many things for their residents, like a coffee truck a few days out of the week. The pool and spa areas are also very nice and a good place to bring friends and family out to enjoy the day!

Love this apartment! We lived in a few apartments before in SM and this one has been the best experience HANDS DOWN. Super cute place to live - maybe the most attractive in San Marcos. We lived here for 3 years and moved out without any problems. Any time we had maintenance requests, they were solved quickly and painlessly. The office was always easy to contact. For the price, anything else wouldnt really be acceptable, but still: good job to staff there on site, and thank you.

Just moved in two months ago, the office staff have so far gone above and beyond helping me out. Due to my procrastination of the move-in list, the move in was hurried and a mistake was made. They fixed it right on up. A true display of their commitment to resident satisfaction. Plus it’s a beautiful complex compared to every other place I visited while apartment searching. So far so good.

The office staff is top tier Jake and Vanessa are the most amazing people. They know their residents by name, while customizing to their individual needs. I’ve never had office management work with me while going above and beyond as much as they do. They give sync residents a caring experience from top to bottom. Extremely fast responding and helpful unlike a lot of apartments in San Marcos. The apartments and property are amazing and speak for themselves.

I loved living here the past year as the apartments themselves are wonderful, and maintenance was always responsive. That and managment was always polite and helpful. Honestly this was on of the best places Ive lived in.The only reason Im giving it four stars is the price. Its a little more on the expensive side for the number of rooms, but you get what you pay for. That, and there was quite a bit of bird poop on the walkway. I know they are a protected species, but regular power washing below the nests would be nice.

I lived at the Sync for a year, and it is by FAR the best apartment complex in San Marcos to live at. The units are top-notch, the location is great, parking is open, and the staff is wonderful. The office staff always greeted me with a smile, and the maintenance staff was always so quick and helpful. I never had an issue that wasnt resolved efficiently and professionally! I moved here to be in a quiet environment (not student housing) to really focus on my studies and I can tell you if thats what youre looking for, this IS the place!!!

This was the best place I have ever been able to call home. We just moved out after 3.5 years and I couldnt have been more pleased with our experience. The property is beautiful and the details in the apartments are far beyond anything else in the area. The staff is awesome and any issues are addressed immediately. The amenities are amazing and we took advantage of the pool and sauna many times. My only complaint is that I wish the gym was larger since it can get pretty crowded. If youre looking for a beautiful apartment at a reasonable price in San Marcos, dont skip this place. You will not regret it.

Elysian at Purgatory Creek is a great place to live! Jay bent over backwards to help me get in at the last minute when a job opened up for me in the area. I have a home in Houston and it has been years since I lived in an apartment and I was worried upfront if I would be happy, but it has been great. I have found Jay and the girls to be super helpful, always friendly, and accommodating. My work order requests were successfully addressed within 24 hours. I am in my 50s and was worried about the potential noise of college students as neighbors, but have had no issues. The students under me and around me have been quieter than I expected-no problems at all. I love all the many dogs I see in the complex and have not had any negative issues. The amenities are great and on many occasions the jacuzzi has helped me to free up from work out muscle soreness. If you live in San Marcos, this is the place to be!

I was a resident at Sync for a little more than a year and unfortunately had to leave due to a new job in Austin. I had lived in San Marcos since 2007 and must say that Sync was the most pleasurable living experience I have ever had. From the beautiful community to the EXCEPTIONAL management and maintenance team, this place is top notch. I never had to worry about any issues while living here. The management was both friendly and informative about up to date news in the community, and the maintenance team was both efficient and thorough. I will sing praises about this complex for years to come. Thank you everyone! We will miss you all!

I moved here a little over a week ago and I absolutely love it. The office staff is very friendly and helpful and the over all quality of the apartment cant be beat. The amenities are great and are very well kept which is very important to me. The parking is also awesome because I always have multiple spots in front of my apartment at all times. I am also an apartment locator in San Marcos so I know of every single option that San Marcos has to offer and out of them all I picked this place for my wife and I to live for the next couple years.

Jennifer is a great property manager. From moving in July 2019 to finally moving to another city, we’ve been so impressed with Jennifer’s responsiveness, the maintenance staff, cleanliness of the property and Jennifer’s ability to communicate with the whole community! Even our new property in our new city was able to receive rental verification from Sync in less than a day. We are going to miss the Sync community! Hope our future home is as great as Sync. My son and I have both enjoyed the apt. It was my weekend getaway and his apt was in a perfect location for watching the deer come in at night from his patio. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and it was nice to have a pool and work out area available before the pandemic. It was also in a perfect location. Close to the important things like the hospital and Ross, lol. I will share my positive feedback with anyone who asks about apts in San Marcos.

I just moved from building 12, and I have to say it was the best place I have ever lived. I was on the third floor and just saw complete treetops and nature every time I stepped outside. My bedroom had the most incredible view! I wanted to get a first floor so I could have my dogs and not inconvenience the neighbors below, and they worked with me to find the perfect place! Anthony is amazing and part of the reason why I got my first apartment and why I resigned! He will do everything he can to help you! Love love love this apartment complex and its staff!

A wonderful and luxury experience, far enough away from downtown to offer peace and quiet but only 2 miles from campus. Maintenance is prompt and polite, and they allow pets which is a huge plus. The air conditioning works well in the apartment and I love the concrete flooring.

The staff is warm, kind and wonderful. Any time Ive needed anything from maintenance or the leasing office its taken care of immediately.The units are gorgeous with a lot of natural light and windows (which my girlfriend loves). I love the hot tub, pool and saunas! The communal grill is pretty cool too, but lines tend to form on busy days.I have *no idea* what Jess Johnson is talking about with thin walls, she must not have ever stepped into one of these apartments because I have never heard anything from any of my neighbors unless they are entering or leaving their apartment- and this is in a college town. Also, I have 2 cats, if there were mice anywhere Id be finding evidence of it! Her review sounds fishy to me.

Elysium Apartments is 5 start living on a 3 star budget! We have enjoyed the pool many times already and have enjoyed seeing the deer in our back yard daily! The staff is amazing! Any problem or question arises and they are quick to resolve and / or fix it! And the neighbors have been super friendly and courteous! Great place to call home!

This stuff is so nice, and the apartment complex makes me feel so safe, it’s a 10 minute drive to Texas State University. It has great amenities like a sauna and a Jacuzzi, and a cute little trail behind the office where I see baby Deers all the time. Also my downstairs neighbors became close friends to me so it was a good place to choose to live!

Team Housing Solutions leased an apartment with Purgatory Creek in December and I havent been happier with the community and with those in the leasing office. They have been extremely helpful and have bent over backwards to accommodate every reasonable (and not so reasonable) request I have had. The community truly is the best in San Marcos and if youre planning on living in an apartment, then Purgatory Creek is the only place you should look. My company works with apartment communities across the nation and we have not found a better community and leasing office than Purgatory Creek! Always ask for Megan for Tiffany! They are great!!
