The thing for me is quick and responsive maintenance. While it is not the most beautiful apartment around this area, the high ceiling 1B1B apartments are really nice. I love the surroundings and ample parking spots. Easily accessible shuttle service that leaves from Maverick Creek or High View. Overall, our almost 2 years stay here was comfortable and hassle free. One tiny thing is every apartment should have a balcony or patio; would love if our 1B1B had one, well you loose some, you get some.

I have truly never had a better apartment experience!- The leasing office staff are wonderful to work with and respond quickly to calls and messages in the resident portal.- When I submitted maintenance requests, the team literally came within the same day to fix the three issues I had.- The unit I live in was beautiful the day I moved in and there are no pest issues (despite cockroaches and other common pests being an issue in many apartment complexes).- The parking is INCREDIBLE. There are SO many large spots to choose from and everyone is respectful and quiet.I feel very blessed to live here and I staff are willing to work with you for shorter leasing terms (I chose a 3 month initial lease). The only downside are that the amenities are limited (1 small gym, limited laundry room, tiny pool). If youre looking for an amazing place to call home The Oaks at La Cantera is a great choice :)

Great little complex! Ive lived here for two consecutive years and also lived here back in 2017-2019 and I obviously came back for a reason. Location is great and the staff has always been great and continues to be wonderful. I love my 2b/1ba space and my neighbors are friendly. Definitely plan on being here for as long as I can!

We’ve been living here for 3 years now and we really like the place. Close to UTSA, La Cantera, and The Rim which is perfect for class, food, and activities. The pool is awesome and the current management is really working hard to improve the little flaws the apartments may have, they listen to the community and act fast, like the new lock in the laundry room! They’re super nice and we have had nothing but positive exchanges with them. Overall this has been a very positive living experience as a student.

I am a parent of kids that moved here. After reading the reviews, I was concerned with them being there. The kids were working out of state when my husband and I moved their items in. The entire facility was SO helpful. They were doing everything they could to finish up the renovations on the apartment. Edwin (the maintenance manager) went above and beyond to help out. After the reviews I had read, I was worried, but he was so kind and helpful.The kids are loving their new apartment and I am pleased that they feel safe and happy.

I needed housing last minute for school and Michael (and Maui) made it really easy. Everybody here is attentive, kind, and approachable. Location for school is wonderful. Im new to the area but pricing seems fair enough. Quiet, safe complex that meets all my needs!

Moving here was honestly such a breeze with the help of Maui! He was such an amazing help with the documentation and such I needed before moving I didn’t have to worry about a thing.Also when moving in there were slight maintenance issues that needed to be taken care of and Julio and Charlie were swift to come fix things up in about the same hour.Having a great experience so far

My experience at the Oaks La Cantera apartments was very good, I give it five stars for the good attention they gave me when asking for information to rent an apartment.The manager Gabriela is very good at her job, letting us know everything about the apartments and giving us pleasant options to rent.So I recommend this place because their apartments are very good and I loved them because they are cozy to live as a family and create a home.Thank you Miss Grabiela.

I have lived At this apartment community for 7 yrs and can say the new management company has done great with the new renovations with the interior and exterior of the apartments. This apartment community had been neglected and in bad shape by the prior owner. The new property manager Lisa & lead maintenance Edwin are great! They are always welcoming, friendly, and definitely very responsive with any questions, concerns, or issues needing to be addressed. Overall, they are doing an awesome job! I recommend giving this place a try!

I have been living here since January 2020. Previously, it was called Alpin Park Apartments and the property manager was Jordan, while the maintenance manager was Eric. I have very good experience with the place and the management. The place might not look fancy from outside but it is overall very good place specially inside the apartments which are very clean without issues. In end of June 2021, the place was purchased and managed by Stonemark management. Lisa is the current property manager and Edwin is for maintenance. The place is currently under renovation, outside and inside, and you can see the improvement since now. My experience is very good so far with the new management. I had an issue with my faucet bathroom sink as it was leaking. Edwin changed it completely with a new one, in a timely manner. Lisa is a very responsive person, replies to your emails promptly, and takes care of everything needed attention. Although the rent has been increased, I decided to renew the rent for the following year. This would not work without the help of Lisa. She makes the renewal process smooth and easy. In summary, I recommend this place to live.

My name is Pablo I am a college student, and I have been living at this complex for about 3 years . Old management wasn’t bad but they didn’t work on the complex, we had little to no amenities. The new management under Lisa have really turned the complex around. All the buildings have been renovated; new floors, interior and exterior painted, new lighting etc. The pool will finally be functional after years of being empty and unused, and they are in the process of opening up a gym. Overall I am extremely satisfied with the way things have been going and have renewed my lease for another year.

I found Oaks at La Cantera to offer considerably higher square footage with their two-bedroom apartments than the competition along with reasonable prices. Also, despite being close to Loop 1604 the property is quiet.The manager, Lisa was friendly and accommodating. I stopped by the office after moving in and Lisa asked if there is anything else I needed and was I satisfied with my place. Another plus is the efficiency and speed of the application process.

Its a great place to live. The place is also very close to UTSA. So, good choice for UTSA students/employees. I lived there for one and a half years. I didnt face any issue. They had nice management. They solved all maintenance issues on time. Previous property manager Jordan and current property manager Lisa were always very helpful in solving any issue. I had to leave my apartment before ending my lease for an emergency, and Lisa helped me with that as well.

This is an excellent place to live. My son lived in this apartment, but I was the person who communicated with the landlord. Every concern I had was addressed immediately. The place is well lit and safe. I would not hesitate to move another one of my children to this apartment complex. The space is great. UTSA shuttle buses are across the street. There is a set price for water and trash. Excellent value for the area!!!!

I have been a resident for the past year, and I have been very pleased with the staff, especially Lisa and Edwin. They are always exceeding expectations. They are down to earth and make choosing to renew my lease a no-brainer. Maintenance, who is headed by Edwin, always comes and takes care of any issues, even if they are able to field your call at the moment. Lisa is a tremendous asset and a remarkable property manager. Trustworthy people here at The Oaks at La Cantera; not to mention it’s an ideal location for shopping!! Right across the street from UTSA, so you could treat yourself to a game if you enjoy sports.

I personally love these apartments. Management is really great and willing to work with you. The apartments themselves arent too bad. I havent had anything break and nothings falling apart. I have had some bug problems but its all bugs coming in from outside (little beetles, millipedes, etc.) Compared to some of the apartments Ive seen this place is a great deal for the price, there are much worse places. Most of my neighbors are quiet, mostly families and a few college students. Overall its a good place, maybe its just my building but I like it here a lot.

Great value. It isnt perfect, but you get a lot for your money here. No weird fees, you just pay a fixed monthly rate for rent, garbage, and water. You get a lot of square footage for a good price. But it is different from the student housing nearby. It is not prefurnished and the wifi is not included. Overall it is a good value but be aware of the differences. The application/move-in and move-out process is very easy, just remember to have the place professionally cleaned before you move out. The lease contract is very short and digestible, unlike many places with dozens of pages with weird rules.

Its not a bad complex. The front office is very helpful. You get a lot of room for the price. The downside to that is the residents are kind of seedy. Dont leave anything of value in your car, youll be fine. I havent ever been able to hear my neighbors, all my appliances work, and for the money, its hard to beat.

I love this place. Its a very affordable alternative to the student housing in the area. Its close to campus but very private and no loud parties or disturbances. The management has been very friendly and I love that they are actually real people instead of robot salespeople programmed to upsell leases. The only maintenance problem Ive had was fixed within five minutes. Also a short walk to the shuttle across the street.

Lived in there for 2 yrs, not a bad place to move in, unfurnished, nice neighborhood, big bedroom size, paid $825 per month (2bed/1bath) + utilities, and really close to the campus. Just make sure that you make every copies of your signed paperworks (move-in & out)
