James on South First is an exceptional place to live for young people looking to live close to the city, get a great apartment, and spend less on rent. I have lived here nearly six years and cannot say enough great things about it. Every complaint I have ever had has been promptly taken care of or responded to by Sarah, Nik, and Arianna. I cannot say enough good things about them.Chavez (and maintenance) are also incredible. Last night it was freezing cold at 12:00 AM and my heater went out. Chavez personally showed up with a good attitude and spent an hour fixing my heater. Not only was he up until 1:00 AM fixing my heater, but he stopped by the next morning to make sure it was working. You can’t ask for better maintenance.Unlike many complexes, at the James what you see is what you get. No surprises. No nonsense. An exceptional apartment at a great price!

We have lived at this complex for the past 4 years and enjoyed it. It is a well kept complex, quiet and the pool is nice. The office staff especially the property manager Sarah has been so helpful in all of our needs and concerns. Maintenance is there the following work day to fix what needs to be done. Their team is so friendly and amazing, i can’t say enough amazing things about them. When i was on maternity leave, they would do their job and lock the door going out if they saw i was busy with my newborn. We are only leaving because we found something closer to our jobs that is across town.

I’ve lived here for a month now and it’s been great! Applying/moving in was a smooth process. Arianna assisted me when I came to get info on the property, as well as keeping me updated during the moving in process making sure I had all documents/forms signed. Very quiet community, but everyone always comes together when the leasing office hosts events so you can tell the leasing office really tries to connect with their residents. The times I had to get maintenance requests done they always came a few hours after I submitted the request. I love it here :)

Im a Case Manager and recently helped a client get an apartment at The James on South First. The staff has been amazing to work with - so nice, efficient, responsive, knowledgeable, helpful, thorough. We have mostly worked with Arianna, who was great at following up and getting any info we needed quickly. Nik did the move in and it was so smooth. Ive met Sarah too and she was very welcoming and must be running a great ship, based on how well everything has gone. My client is so excited to live at The James on South First and Im happy to work with them and hopefully refer more clients here.

I’ve lived in a house for the last ten years and was nervous about possibly going back to apartment living. Nik, Sarah, and Arianna were all amazing and very helpful getting me into a unit that is perfect for me. Surprisingly the property is very well maintained, quiet, and dog friendly. I toured this beautiful property yesterday and I have to say the staff was very welcoming and acknowledged me right away. I looked at a 1 bedroom and it was move-in ready and smelled good. We have been living here for 3 years and has been the best apartment by far I’ve ever lived in. The manager Sarah Moses has been the manager since I moved in and has kept a great community along with her staff. Nik and Arriana are friendly and always there to take our call. Nik in particular has gone above and beyond more than a few times giving this place a real sense of community. Their maintenance staff, Joseph and Chavez, are just as friendly and efficient, usually are there within a couple of hours to fix whatever needs fixing, if not by the very next day. This review has been long over due. It has been a genuine pleasure calling this community home.

My husband and I have been living here for 3 years and have been very happy. They are quick to resolve any issues present. The maintenance crew Joseph and Chavez show up within 24 hours to fix whatever needs fixing. Nik, Sarah and Aryana are always kinda and attentive. Great community to live in!

The amenities are great - only complaint was I would have liked more gym equipment but I do love that the gym is spacious. The best part are the people in the office! I just moved to James on South First, and my entire experience has been phenomenal!! The vibes from Arianna at the office were wonderful when I came to tour. She was very quick and responsive to all questions I had while signing and very kind. I moved in quickly, and Nik stayed an hour late to make sure I could get the keys on the day that worked best for me. My unit was so clean and in amazing condition when I moved in, and the amenities are amazing! If youre thinking of moving here, I think youd love it!!

Nik has been the best and biggest help out all summer long!! I moved in just for the summer through a short/long term rental company that had a unit at James on South First. Nik never thought twice about helping me out with parking passes, mail retrieval, package retrieval, basic property questions, etc. when he could’ve turned me away and told me to take it up with the rental company since I was technically their responsibility. Thank you, Nik for being so wonderful each time I’ve come running at you for help!!

Having lived at other apartment communities in Austin over the last several years, I can say, without doubt, that James on South First is, indeed, first class. At first, besides its great location, what attracted me to James was its newly built look and feel. But when I learned that it was actually built in 2016, I saw it as an indication that the management of this place takes pride in the maintenance and upkeep of the property. So when I was shown my spacious, spic and span, well-appointed apartment, I knew that my first instincts were right. And now, after having lived there for about 5 years, I credit that to the fantastic trio of Sarah, Nik, and Arianna, supported by Chavez, Joseph, and Mike, their super team of very dedicated maintenance staff. Together, they make James the beautiful place it is. Together, they make James the beautiful place it is. While there are many reasons why I loved living at James, a few things that were the highlight of my stay are: Although I’m not currently a pet dad, it gave me great joy to see that residents’ furry family members had ample green spaces to frolic. Also the always clean and inviting pool. The well-equipped gym. The serene office center. And last but not least, what never failed to turn me on was the natural gas cooker and oven in my apartment. While I could cook before, I now have Le Cordon Bleu ambitions. Just kidding! I wish whoever chooses to stay at James on South First as wonderful a stay as I did.

Super nice people and management! The business center is a very quiet place where you can focus on work 24/7. The printer works 100% of the time and the dog treats are always available for any dog lovers. The pool and BBQ area is absolutely gorgeous and well maintained. The surrounding environment is so quite and peaceful and there are so many beautiful and well manicured trees. Highly recommend this amazing place for luxury living in South Austin.

My experience living here has been incredible. The property is always in a great state, from amenities to services I’ve been here for almost a year and have had no real problems. The small ones I had (pest issues, general maintenance) were immediately taken care of by the leasing staff. Honestly, by far the best apartment I have ever came across. From the management, to the maintenance, and just the complex/environment in general. Always staying on top of things, and the front office staff is so great about staying informed with their residents. They remember everyone by name, as well as our fur babies.I have yet to complain about anything. Any time I need assistance with something, they make it a priority to help me any way they can.The place stays in tip-top shape, getting to it instantly.Ive come across some great people!From the beginning of meeting with Nik, who was amazing with the information when looking into the place. He was and has always been reassuring! I gotta say, his energy is what was also involved with our choice of knowing this was THEE place we wanted to live at.They even have little events here and there to bring the residents together, to get to know everyone better, which is so thoughtful.All in all, I really recommend James at South First!Dont think about it. Update:So I ended up staying for 3 more yrs and after new manager it became an amazing place to live, I left after 5 yrs but now Im back because Sarah, Nick and Arianna are so amazing. I get answers right away and everything gets fixed on an instant. And its rare that I have to get anything done but its fast if I do. Thanks to my management, I came back. Love this place!I have lived here almost 2 yrs and have been very happy but the more people that move in the worst it is for parking. There is hardly any parking for friends to come, someone something plz!!!

I lived here from 2021-2023. Place is fantastic. Apartments are as pictured. Pool area is amazing and has an adequate gym as well. Nik (my guyyyy! Haha) was amazing and always was around to help with any issues or maintenance. If you’re thinkin about moving in here do it (only reason I left was because i moved in with my lady on the eastside)

Ive been apartment living for 30 years (NYC/NJ and ATX) and can say that this is truly my top favorite (past 3 years and signing on again). Amenities are great and maintained better than well. Grounds are clean (they do this every morning) and any (few) maintenance requests were handled that very day. The staff here is absolutely amazing with no high turnover so they know the residents and are friendly. Sarah and Nick in the office always have their doors open and super welcoming and personable. Worth going in even if just for a chat. My other experiences in ATX were the exact opposite. Looking forward to many more years here with the way this property is run both professionally and personally.

James on South First has been a great place to call home! I have been here since March and have had no problems. Their maintenance crew is great and they even offer yoga and a workout class twice a week. They have great events throughout the week which are fun. I have had a great experience and I highly recommend living here:) Not to mention their pool is amazing during the summer!!! They also have a nice little place to hang out by a fire outside and a doggy area! The apartments are beautiful with granite counter tops and they are very spacious for a great price. They run great deals year round!! Overall very happy with my experience and look forward to renewing my lease.

Ive really loved living here.Ive lived in Austin for over 10 years now, in many different neighborhoods and complexes, and this is the happiest Ive ever been with my living situation.I was hesitant about living this far south at first, after living super close to downtown, but I really love this area and location.Very close to gyms, grocery stores, and lots of good restaurants, and downtown is easy to get to.The floor plans are WAY better than any apartment Ive ever lived at - very spacious and open, with lots of natural light.LOVE the kitchens (Ive now lived in a 2 bedroom and a 3 bedroom here - and Anthony was very helpful with helping us transition into the 3 bedroom with NO hassle at all).The pool is great... LOTS of storage in bathrooms and closets... great balconies...I really feel like the price is a steal for how nice our place is.Anthony and Kirby have both been incredibly kind and attentive whenever we need anything. Maintenance guys are really great and also respond very quickly whenever we need anything.I highly recommend these apartments :-)

Only been here for a little bit, but I love my apartment already. The move-in process was made so simple with the help of Nik at the Front Office. I really got the feel that he and the rest of the staff understood how the move in process can be, and they genuinely wanted to assist me along the way and make it as simple as possible. From what I’ve seen the entire front office staff seems to be genuine, kind people who care about the complex. Five stars from me.

Omg where do I start?!Out of the average span of 6 years living in Austin, I have lived in 5 different complexes but was never happy enough to re-lease.James on South First is hands down thee BEST place I’ve ever experienced and I can not stress that enough!Staff- WOW. All management is amazing! Nik made the greatest first impression and is a perfect representation of this place! He honestly goes way above and beyond for us tenants and always makes sure we’re accommodated as well as holding onto professional yet friendly relationships with everyone. Thank you!Pool- Huge, Beautiful, Always Clean, Spacious, Great Decor, Comfy Furniture to Relax OnCommunity- QUIET, Small but Perfect!, Well Kept. You will see the same people often but in a great way! Since the area isn’t that big, it feels like your very own neighborhood; happy hellos and dogs becoming besties!Units- Spacious layouts with reasonable rates! They were the biggest yet cheapest units when we began looking last summer. If you really want one and none are available you must check the site DAILY if not HOURLY. These go by quick! I was lucky to catch availability at 2am but glad I did :DMaintenance- FAST, Well Attired and Communicative!Sad part is that I’m now moving in with my bf out of city which but my sister will luckily get to keep enjoying this place.Life is good at James on South First!

Maintenance and landscaping here are fantastic! I dont interact with the people in the office much but they have been helpful in the past, and they do a nice job organizing community things like taco nights for residents, and letting food trucks set up on property. However, the security gates (both pedestrian and auto) seem to break down a lot--either stuck open or wont open with the key fob. Also, last year someone trashed the bathroom in the clubhouse by the pool, and the bathroom was subsequently locked (I dont know for how long). It was kind of inconvenient, but I was more concerned about folks just peeing in the pool rather than going back to their apartment. I understand why that step was taken, though. Overall, a sweet place to live. Facilities and staff are great.

I lived here for 3 years and I always felt at home. The staff is incredible and will do whatever to understand and help you . Sarah, Nick And Briana are very responsive and do whatever to ensure your time here is smooth . The apartments are nice and spacious, the amenities incredible. I honestly will miss living here just because of the staff . They really take care of the residence. Hosting events, having food trucks , and just overall loving and compassionate. I hope that if anyone moves here they treat his staff with respect because they really do care . Thank you Sarah , Bri and Nick for these past years

Absolutely the love apartment complex and the many things it has to offer. The amazing staff is always very helpful and has a quick turn around time for any maintenance that is required. This complex is extremely dog friendly which I love. My daughter loves taking our Yorkie to the two dog parks located in the complex, and residents are good about picking up after the pets. The pool area is amazing! The gym is never too crowded and the complex even offers free weekly boot camp and yoga to its residents. My apartment is very spacious and I received many compliments over it. Overall you won’t find anything better and the location is great! Thank Connie and Anthony for everything yall do for your residents.

Making the choice to move here was easy the apartment common areas are clean and the amenities are great! Luke helped with my million questions and continues to go above and beyond when it comes to any issue that may arise. The maintenance is especially fast and convenient. The apartment complex is super dog friendly and meets all our needs. The staff is exceptionally great and always make it easy to go to them for anything. Best choice we have made thus far. If youre looking to rent go to Luke Durbin you wont be disappointed!

I have lived in many apartments throughout North and South Austin, and none have compared to how great, comfortable, and pleasant the apartments and staff are!! It truly feels like a community living here and that you can’t fake. I have always felt like the staff truly cares about your living experience here, especially Nik. He has made the entire process from start to finish, more than pleasant and as seamless as possible. From staff, amenities, maintenance, etc. This place has it all!!

Sarah and Nik made our apartment transfer so seamless! We wanted to move into an apartment that was bigger and I asked Sarah if she had anything available. She responded quickly to all my questions and worked with us in finding something that fit our needs. I cant tell you how much this new apartment exceeded our expectations. Beautiful new wood floors, spacious, and a lovely view of the pool. Sarah and Nik made us feel at ease and comfortable with our decision. We are so happy to continue living here!!

Ive only lived here a couple of months, but I can say that the experience has been awesome so far. I want to call out especially the maintenance team, they are always quick to respond and (this is the important part) WILL KEEP COMING OUT UNTIL THE ISSUE IS FIXED. We had a fridge that was getting way too cold up top and way too warm on the bottom. They came out 3 times, and each time we all thought it was fixed, but it would start acting up again. Ultimately (yesterday), they figured well, this cant be fixed, so heres a new fridge, and installed a new refrigerator. You may think that this is just common sense and an example of people simply doing their jobs, but judging from my past experiences at other apartments, this came as a most welcome surprise.Every time they came out they were punctual, friendly, and absolutely dedicated to doing a good job and fixing the issue. Again, this shouldnt be a big deal, but it really is. Will and his crew are just awesome.So all this to say is that I love living here and the maintenance crew (and also the office staff) is among the best I have ever had the pleasure of interacting with. I hope to be here for quite some time.

I love our apartment! We have beautiful granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances, and so many windows. The layout of the apartment makes it feel so spacious! Oh, and the pool is amazing! Maintanance always makes sure it is spotless. My boyfriend and I are so happy with this apartment. Definitely suggest checking this place out!

The apartments themselves are beautiful and Ive had little issue with anything. I do wish there was a second pool but the one we have has never been overfilled with people except once and that was dealt with immediately. Its not the propertys responsibility but the tenants who invite way too many rowdy immature people.I wish there was more ample visitor parking and an after-hours number for minor emergencies but from my understanding, it is a current issue. Amenities are relatively new and fantastic and well-maintained.I am a native Austinite forced to move from a house but the trade-off is that though Im paying for more an apartment, Im in a secure environment, a spacious place with beautiful amenities. Im happy.

The James is an amazing property, they work with the tenants schedules to accomplish tasks, plus they have been very careful in re-opening our amenities ensuring that the community is still safe at all times. During the time while most businesses were closed they also supported food trucks and small business owners by bringing them to the property so that the tenants could have something new l. Luke is great at communicating with the tenants as well. It truly is a community here and we enjoy it very much!

Best customer service I have ever experienced. Hilary is an incredible first point of contact. She is always swift to reply via email. She has seen to any issues that have come up in a quick and polite manner. She is a rock star! Connie is also fantastic with communication. Ive always had issues communicating with property managers, but Connie truly cares about her tenants needs. I would absolutely recommend The James on South First.

Anthony Garza is amazing, detailed, provides excellent customer service with a personal,professional, touch.Only a couple of recommendations which are easy fixes 1)keep the breezeways free of trash, and leaves etc. 2) Residents need to pick up after pets, 3) Maybe allow residents to use the beautiful game room after hours.

Legacy at Southpark (James on South First) is an amazing property! I moved in back in May under Roscoe and have had an amazing experience since day one. The second I walked in to my first floor apartment, I was blown away at the quality of the appliances and amenities. 12 foot Cathedral ceilings with very nice quiet fans, beautiful granite counters, wood floors throughout, and stainless steel appliances! The wrap around porch is very spacious and has extra storage with key entry... Everything in mint condition. The AC is cool and evenly distributed with a low power bill! The bathroom is gorgeous and features a huge hotel like tub. This place is so nice! As far as amenities... the infinity pool has gas grills, soon a fridge, and plenty of space! The gym is awesome, the business center is available 24/7, and there is coffee everyday in the community center! I have to say that the best part of living here are the staff: Dacia and Gracie are absolute angels who are always available when I need them, especially after moving in. The maintenance staff is ON POINT! They are polite, prompt, and always know exactly what they are doing. I love living here and look forward to many years ahead. I love this place! I moved in last April and have loved every minute.The amenities and apartments ar!e absolutely flawless! The staff is so helpful especially Dacia & Gracie. The only compliant is how fast people drive and that is something being addressed and fixed. I had a problem with my ice maker and they replaced it IMMEDIATELY! The maintenance team is the best I have ever experienced as well. You will be amazed at how affordable and beautiful this place is. Southpark Meadows is RIGHT HERE with all the shopping and food you need! The pool is the best in Austin. Highly recommend checking out this property.

I love Legacy at Southpark! All of the new changes and updates are amazing! Parking has been an issue and I feel like they are finally getting it right and hearing concerns. They are building a new dog park, updating the gym to brand new equipment, adding all new pool furniture, adding package lockers, etc. I also love they they love pets. Everytime I come in the office, they take the time to say hello to my dog and have treats setting out for him. I only wish I had one of the apts that will be getting a yard added on. Keep the good things rolling, Legacy!

James on South First. Is a great place to be. Nik was helpful through the whole process, very informative and his hospitality skill are second to none. The day I toured this complex I knew it was going to be my next home. Great location close to everything. Resort style pool and great amenities. No Breed restrictions on dogs which is a plus for some people. Modern appliances, everything up to date. Garden bath tub. Strongly recommend giving this place a tour if your apartment hunting. Nik and his team will take great care of you. Oh and there’s free coffee lol.

Ive lived here 2 years.. what i will say is that the parking situation is the biggest fall back. The 1 single thing that compensates for this huge inconvenience and the only reason Im giving 4 stars is because of their star team member Luke.. I cant say enough about him. He always goes above and beyond to help accommodate any and all issues Ive brought to him. Since he has been working here, Ive experienced the professionalism, care and concern that this property has desperately needed. His attitude is second to none and should be used as the standard example. I commend his hard work and dedication to us as tenants.James. PLEASE fix the parking issue. Its a very big issue and none of you seem to care. We pay too much to have to deal with leaving our guests car overnight at a nearby gas stations or etc.. its so shady. All my friends never want to return out of fear.

Ive lived here for over a year now and this is the new management that came in several months ago. Theyve taken substantial effort to make the complex more inviting and safer for residents. All in all, this is a great complex to live in. My apartment is spacious and a pretty good price for Austin. Plus, you have to consider its only a few minutes from downtown Austin. Theres several nice shopping centers nearby as well. Oh, and we just got Google Fiber, which is awesome.

I just moved out of the James and its been a great living experience. The quality of the unit was great and the views of the pool were amazing. Unfortunately it was too far from work.I want to give a shout out to Luke Durbin, hes been amazing to work with. Everytime Ive had an issue with the apartment hes gone above and beyond to things fixed and meet expectations. Of all people who have worked here, he actually cares about the residents, and it shows in the way hes addresses issues that arose.

I recently moved and my move in experience has been nothing short of fantastic. Anthony has by far made this process externally smooth and has been externally helpful. His customer service has exceeded any expections I had. The apartment itself is great loving it thus far besides the samm cabentry everything in the unit itself is great! The dog park is a huge plus and it’s a bigger plus that it isn’t a small enclosed area it’s a pretty large dog park for an apartment complex. Not to mention you are just down the road from a shopping center👌🏽 Highly recommend this community 😬

James on South 1st apartments are first class. It’s a gated community, family friendly with great amenities. The front office actively engages its residents with free tacos, and holiday competitions. Apartments are spacious and a steal for the price and location. Easy acces to downtown, Southpark meadows and in walking distance to Little Woodrow’s. We have been here for 3 years and have no complaints.

Ive been a resident for about 2 months. So far everything has been wonderful. Were in a great location in Southpark next to tons of shopping outlets and restaurants. The few times I needed maintenance they got the job done quickly. Appliances are stainless, countertop is marble or quartz, the waterheater is tankless, and we just got Google fiber a few weeks ago.The only inconvenient thing Ive experienced so far is our gate, which has been temporarily left open for the past few weeks while they work on it. Other than that, seems like a great place in a safe location.
