We had a great experience touring this complex! Christina went above and beyond to answer our questions and show the property. The grounds are well kept and the interiors are so charming! If you are looking for a cozy place to call home (with just the right amount of character) this is the place for you. The modern updates and appliances are great and everything felt very thoughtful. We loved Hampton Plaza!

Have lived at Hampton Plaza @Kessler Park since Dec 2021, I have very much enjoyed living here.Lots of shade and very comfortable living.Management is very helpful and attentive to my concerns. It has improved tremendously as time moves and New Management since 2024 January a great improvement.Kudos to Mr. Hector, Ms. Salinas

Really enjoy these apartments! Currently in a one bedroom on the second floor. These apartments are definitely vintage and have an old school vibe. My ac went out on a really hot day and Carla sent someone out to fix right away. All the neighbors I’ve met have been kind. There is a big mix of people who belong to this community, young, old, families, and singles. Pet friendly and very close to everything! The process of getting in was very easy. Carla is super helpful and quick to respond!

Renewing another lease here! Since new management has taken over, it’s been a better place! Hector, the new property manager is great and super approachable. He can answer all my questions and is quick to fix issues or misunderstandings. The apartments are great, they are older and more boutique than your average city apartment. Two downsides are the laundry rooms but there’s a laundromat around the corner that’s great with fluff and fold service. Also, it’s a nature area so the occasional spider or bug slips in.

I came for a tour with the manager Hector and he was very professional and gave me all the information I needed. I been looking and looking everywhere but I came to this property and Hector was so nice and the property was so clean that I will like to live there. Hector is the best!

Came in for a tour and oh my goodness!! Hector, the new manager is fantastic and let my friend and I look at a 1 bedroom and a 2 bedroom. He explained all the new changes and upgrades he wants to make and the improvements he’s already made. I was very impressed. He answered all the questions I had. The apartments are old, but in the best way possible. Every unit has been upgraded to central air, but they’ve kept the old units that add charm and the vintage feel. The complex felt like a college. It was so clean and peaceful, definitely community driven. I’m so happy I came and toured.

Change of ManagementHector the new manger is absolutely amazing! He took my friend and I on a tour of the 1 bedroom and 2 bedroom apartments and I just have to say he was such a wonderful person. Updated review: since Hector came in as property manager, things have gotten even better. I enjoy my peace and quiet, flexible rent payment options and the communication with the office has been top notch. Take good care of your living space and these apartments are plenty charming and comfortable! Great experience living here! Apartments are vintage, picturesque and cozy. Idyllic neighborhood in Kessler Park. Ideal location right by Bishop Arts District. Thoroughly happy with my experience as a tenant!

LOVE THIS PLACE! They were very helpful with the application and move in process! They are so kind and friendly to everyone! If there is any maintenance or issues that need to be fixed they are on top of it! The area is AMAZING and the other residents are great! When searching for an apartment, Carla was amazing at assisting us for our new home. The community is great and I never have issues. The community is always clean and our swim area is a place to relax after a hard day of work. Carla is quick to address any concerns or questions if you ever need assistance. I would highly recommend that you ask for Carla when searching for your new home!

It’s been almost a month and it immediately feels like home. Everyone we have met in the complex so far has been very kind. We adore the updated vintage look and our toddler enjoys the pool!

I am a first time apartment renter and came across Hampton Plaza. I immediately fell in love with the vintage layout and loved that this building has been in oakcliff since the 50s! Carla was super helpful in finding the apartment meant for me. She was very informative and attentive and kind. She really made me feel supported in my new chapter. The application process was easy. It took about a week to hear I was approved (woo hoo!). Utilities are all included and was lucky to have their promotion applied to lower my rent. I also unintentionally referred someone to the complex and got a $500 referral bumping my rent lower! (So blessed.) It has been almost 2 months since I’ve been moved in and I couldn’t be happier. The area is nice. I go for runs right around the corner where the golf course is. The neighborhood seems friendly and safe. I had some complications with my water heater but maintenance was pretty attentive and was able to fix the issue. Laundry mats in the complex are convenient and hadn’t really had a problem with them. With that being said, I love my apartment! Carla and Israel have made my experience so easy especially since this is my first time renting.-Bianca

Update Sept 21 2024Hector, our new property manager, is amazing and should forever be a keeper. Im changing my ratings do, to what we have discussed, and im happy with what we have planned 41/2 stars. (Ill rate this 5 stars when I get a downstairs apartment with no carpet, which Ive been wanting since Ive moved here 8 years ago... Actually, I think its 9 years now).Sept 14 2024Personally, I never had problems with any of my previous Property Managers theyve all been nice and worked with me and got things done in a timely manner.Now, if they (corporate) can just drop our rent back down to reasonable prices like they should, that would be great. ($850 for 1 bed 1 bath, $950 for 2 bed 1 bath), (a few units still have carpet which they needs to go) change the wall color (they buy the paint and Ill paint my apartment myself. I can do a better job than what theyve done here years ago).Update May 8 2024, my rating has dropped to 3 1/2 stars, only because Im being over charged on rent for a unit that HASNT been updated like all the others since Ive been here. In all fairness, I should be paying $850-$900 ($1000ish max with utilities) period. Not $1200 (with utilities, mainly ac usage in hot and cold weather conditions). And if my rent goes up again, my rating will go down to 3 stars. Other than that, everything else is the same.Id give this 4 1/2 stars, but I cant. Any ways this is my first time being on my own in years. I have been here since September with my roomie. Everything was good, but we started noticing roaches. Its not that many, but I tend to kill them every chance I get. The only thing is I think they are living under the counter where we cant reach them. They only come out at night.Next, we had an outage with 1/2 my outlets (our fault with having the space heater), and the maintenance guy came and fixed it right away after I reported it.And lastly but not least we got a leak in our bathroom. The maintenance people fixed it right away yesterday. Until otherwise it has stopped, hopefully there is no mold growing in the wall/ceiling.So, on that note, Im a proud tenant/resident. The only thing I wish for is that we didnt have to pay for its utilities. And I wish the heater between the rooms would work so when it got/gets cold at night we can use them.I cant even use the space heater my mum gave me for Christmas cause itll blow the outlets out if both heaters are running. So, for the last couple of weeks, when it was cold, I had to sleep in the living room just to stay warm. But with all that said, its all good.

I wanted to wait until I was fully moved in to write a review. Here is my experience from the start. They were super responsive from the beginning. Carla was my main point of contact. She provided a great walkthrough of the apartment complex and she is super knowledgable, friendly and honest. I was hesitant prior to seeing the apartment because of the mixed reviews online but management has since changed from the period of bad reviews. Keep in mind this apartment complex has been around since the 1940s. Its definitely quaint so if youre looking for a modern luxury apartment, this place wont be for you. I do appreciate its original hardwood floors. We live on the first floor and only hear our upstairs neighbors at a minimum. Lots of parking (we have assigned parking) and we have one of the newly renovated units with an in unit washer/dryer. The location of this apartment is great, especially for the price. Maintanence was super helpful from day one. Carla really made the move-in process smooth. Im happy to be here. Oh, and if you have a dog this place is dog friendly and has its own dog park!

UPDATE! I’m updating to 4stars. I have to say the new manager has truly stepped up and this is the sole reason for the update. Noemi May, thank you 🙏🏼! She has kept her word and stayed on top on the repairs and the parking issues. She listens and actually does something about the issues. Thank you again Noemi,- AnnaIve been here since February 2021. When I say this isthe worst. Its BAD! There is roaches, Homelesspeople sometimes sleeping in the halls at times. Alsothe PARKING! Its ridiculous! I pay over $1300 a monthfor a two bed room I should be allowed at least oneparking spot. But no I pay $20 a month!!! But guesswhat I have other Residences parking in my paidparking spot!!! Ive sent several emails left severalmessages to the office and NO ONE has responded!!Do yourself a huge favor and do not move here!I promise Chris and Angelina the so called managers.What a joke, They will make it seem all groovy butdont be deceived. I promise this is not the place. Itsvery stressful and I cant wait till my lease is up,because I will be out of here.Other things,- Windows dont open-ants/roaches- water leaks under sinks- crack and paint chipping- rust! In the picture with the WATER is orange because it’s rust! Disgusting.- people always parking in the fire lanes, which I don’t blame them. Because there is no organization!- they paint over paint, just horrible! It’s so annoying! All the peeling and I can’t even close most of my doors, even my restroom door!- hallways full spiders and stink always!I’m paying too much for this garbage,They sure know how the fool people!

Ive been a tenant for almost 2 years now. You get what you pay for. The rent, pet fee and parking spot is one of the best prices you can find in this area. Neighbors are so sweet, management gets to you promptly. There is no dishwasher, microwaves or garage disposal. I have never like them nor do I believe in them so Im so okay with it. I had an issue once or twice and each time management handle it very well. Now a days parking is great but when the building is at is full it is difficult to park. Its quiet and peaceful. I love how I can just hop on 30 and how close Bishop Arts is. I love the old/50s vibes the units have. I do wish the remodel in units would be done cleaner and better. Im a nest cleaner so I did wipe/clean everything down to base boards. The walls are thin, so you can hear your neighbors. This is an old building so I get it.I honestly love it here! Its perfect for my budget.I hope this helps someone.

Great find! Location was important in my apartment search. With immediate access to the highway, Hampton Plaza is only minutes away from downtown & Deep Ellum. Irving/Las Colinas is 15 minutes one direction, and East Dallas/Lakewood is 15 minutes the other way. Bishop Arts is also just a short bike ride away. The units here have a vintage vibe but have new appliances and most importantly, central air! Its a quiet complex, but theres also a sense of community. Mgmt is friendly, and fast to respond. happy to call this place home:)

This place is the right place to raise a child near Dallas. The administration takes care of everything to make sure it is clean, safe and looking like an old american town with all the ammenities of the 21st century. The staff is extremely friendly and professional. The architecture dates back to the 1940s, which gives an unparallell vintage facade to the houses. All the units count with proper AC and intertnet access, laundry services, a relaxing pool and lots of trees in the property.
