    I move in 2 months ago and the management is helpful and maintenance guys are fast with their responses. I would recommend this apartment to anyone wanting to live in west Houston. The pools are always clean.

    As our first housing experience in the US, I have to say living at Gables was one of the best and pleasant housing experiences that we had . The people in the office are very kind, helpful and friendly. The maintenance is super fast. They even helped me once with an issue on a Sunday.They deserve more than 5 star.God bless you all for the amazing job that you do

    I move in this month so I can’t say much about the living situation just yet but I can say that the management there is extremely kind and helpful. They have worked with me through many concerns and changes! Can’t stress enough how welcomed I feel already. The person who gave me a tour was honest and answered all of my questions. I’m already extremely happy with how things are going!*****************I wanted to add a update, I just renewed my lease here! I had a wonderful year with them and never had any issues that weren’t quickly resolved. Only negative thing I ever had to say was about residents and their children running in the parking lot but as soon as I had brought it to the offices attention it was quickly resolved. Any maintenance trouble I had was quickly fixed and the staff was always super friendly to me. I recommend anyone to stay here especially if it’s your first time renting and need a affordable place to start.

    I have been living here since last October I liked it so much. The staff is lovely and cooperative. The manager is very good. Whenever I ask for fixing something they come soon. It is safe, calm and most of the residences are respectful. Always have pest controls and I rarely find a roach. I thought and wished to live all my life here but unfortunately I now need a three bedroom apartment but they only have two😢. Thanks to all the staff I love you all.

    Great place to live! I keep coming back to these apartments. The staff is wonderful, really caring, professional and understandable. The apartments are really nice as well. You have the occasional roach here or there but nothing bug spray cant fix. The only thing to look out for are the children running around in the parking area, it becomes a very dangerous situation because they tend to not be cautious of the cars, it is not their fault many have no parent supervision and when the parents are out there they are not being properly cared for. The office has sent out warnings but there is so much that they can do when the parents choose to ignore the warnings. The trash bin are an issue as well, they do get overwhelmed with trash and again sometimes it looks bad because the tenants choose to leave the trash outside the bins instead on inside. The maintenance workers do try to clean it up the best they can. Overall, the apartments are wonderful, safe, as you can see children friendly, and for a good price. The location is great as well, you have major streets close by and many great store options.

    These were my first apartments I stayed there for 2 years. These are not the best looking apartments but the maintenance is amazing the management (especially Lester) we’re so awesome and helpful. I loved my apartment it definitely felt super homey. My neighbors were super cool. The trash did get messy but maintains was there bright at early cleaning everything. The yard is always cut! And no one ever really parks in your parking spot. And my ac was hands down amazing lol always kept my apartment cold. I would have renewed my lease for another year but I moved to Austin. Thank you so much for making our first year renting so easy and amazing.

    Wow I cant explain how amazing these apartments are! The most friendly and helpful staff you can ever ask for in a complex that truly care about there property and occupants. As a first time renter I couldnt have asked for a more smooth and accommodating home. Just renewed my lease after 2years and no intention of finding anywhere else to live.

    AWESOME FRIENDLY STAFF !! They always make sure to keep snacks and water in the office and my personal favorite COFFEE. I love living here!! Big shout out to Alex he is great understanding kid he will make sure to get you situated if you are ever in a pickle.

    These apartments are great! The front desk are very easy to work with, very kind. They know me by name, they remember my face. The maintenance is perfect. Theyre always on top of anything thats wrong. I definitely recommend these apartments. I will be staying here longer.

    I have lived there for almost 3 yrs and I have to say that the staff are some of the sweetest most caring people i have ran into. I am so thankful they gave me the opportunity to call the Gables home for 3 yrs. I am moving into their sister complex just because id like to have a washer/dryer in my unit.Lester is a fantastic manager and will work with you if you just ask. The maintenance staff speaks very little English but they are very friendly and get things fixed in a timely matter.I am sad to be leaving the complex but I do recommend living here..Thank you again for everything your staff has done for me, I am very thankful..My car nor my apartment has ever been broken into or anything.

    As it comes closer to my time to move I wanted to give a little update--the issue with the bugs and roaches was resolved after having pest control come to my unit a few times. The car break ins cant be completely blamed on the complex as they cant stop people but having the gates work at all times may be helpful. Ultimately, the worst thing about this complex is the location. If it were in a different area that was quieter with less crime I would consider signing another lease. The office staff and maintenance team really make this place better!Ill start by saying maintenance is quick to fulfill request, I never have to wait for more than a day. The front office is very nice & understanding & quick to assist me. However, the cons about The Gables are significant--Roaches and other bugs. Ive had pest control come numerous times in a 10mo period, but no changes. I was told that a neighbor of mine has roaches and until she takes care of them I will have the same issue. Front office has always been understanding about the issue, but ultimately nothing changes.The safety of the apts is a joke. They say there is security but Ive NEVER seen them. The gates are ALWAYS broken and left open for days. The lock on my car was broken, so one day i came out to my car burglarized. Got the lock fixed & a couple of days later noticed someone tried to steal both of my license plates--a week later MY CAR WAS STOLEN from the parking lot. My neighbors have had their cars broken into, & tires stolen. Security where??Prior to moving in I read reviews about utility bills being oddly high at The Gables, but I ignored it. DONT IGNORE! THE UTILITY BILLS NO MATTER WHAT COMPANY YOU GO THROUGH, WILL BE HIGH. FOR A STUDIO THE LOWEST I HAVE PAID WAS $99 BUT THE HIGHEST WAS $190, FOR A STUDIO!!They have great move-in specials, I signed a 14mo lease for a $95/mo discount, but beware you will get what you pay for. The property is often cleaned, and well manicured so thats another plus. All in all, I was in a bad roommate situation prior to moving here so i was desperate & chose one of the 1st places I looked at. IF YOU HAVE TIME TO CHECK OUT OTHER PLACES I WOULD DEFINITELY DO SO BEFORE MOVING HERE. ITS ALRIGHT FOR SOMEONE WHO NEEDS TO MOVE QUICKLY AND FOR SHORT TERM, OTHER THAN THAT LOOK ELSE WHERE.

    I lived here since December of 2012. I never had a huge problem with this community. I’ve had affordable rent and if any maintenance was needed my home was taken care of immediately. I highly recommend anyone to live here especially if it’s their first apartment

    I lived in that property for a little over 20 years and I really have no complaints, the maintenance was very efficient, the property was clean and tidy, the administration staff was very friendly and accessible, I would not hesitate to live here again. I really love this property

    Everything is very good, the people who work there along with the maintenance people are very friendly, if you need something they will send it to you to fix right away! And they always keep the property very clean, only the parking spaces give you a reserved one in my case, and I had to leave the other one outside! But well, from there everything was fine. I had to leave there for personal reasons, but I recommend it without hesitation.
