I moved into College Town back in August 2023 and this is by far the best college apartment in San Marcos, TX. I have had the best experience living here! I live walking distance from the football stadium and only a 8 min shuttle ride to campus. My apartment has hard wood floors, stainless steel appliances, and a queen size bed. The staff and maintenance team are always super kind and eager to help out. I highly recommend checking out College Town if you attend TXST!

I moved here back in August of 2023 when the property was still Haven. Ever since College Town Communities took over it has been nothing but positive improvements. They added security cameras that actually work in the garage & halls, and upgraded the hallways!! The bedrooms are spacious even in the Graduate floor plan. I do not plan on moving out anytime soon, definitely have/will recommend College Town San Marcos.

The reviews here are harsh. I’ve been living here for 2 months and had a few problems such as the AC breaking or lock not working, but they get fixed quickly. The tenants and maintenance team are very kind and personable people. Be wary that there is no crosswalk to the bus stop but that is an issue of the city and not the apartment.

The Haven is definitely my personal haven. I look forward to coming home every single time I get to. The amenities are super useful, not to mention great hangout spots. The front desk has been incredibly patient and helpful, they are really great with communication and are super sweet. I love having people over, too. Its a nice place to be, thats for sure!

I love being able to roll out of bed and make it to class in just a few minutes, without having to worry about a long commute or parking hassles.The amenities here are top-notch. The on-site gym is well-equipped with modern equipment, making it easy to squeeze in a workout between classes. Theres also a beautiful swimming pool area where residents can relax and unwind on sunny days. And for those late-night study sessions, the community clubhouse offers a quiet space – a lifesaver during midterm season!Ive been impressed by the management team at College Town. Theyre always friendly, approachable, and quick to address any concerns or maintenance issues. I have been living at College Town for over a month now and I absolutely love it!!! Compared to my last apartment, College Town has exceeded my expectations. My apartment is very spacious, the amenities are well maintained, and the building is also very secure! 10/10 would recommend :)

I arrived to my unit right at the time the main office was closing and noticed my apartment door was unlocked. This was unusual and I was scared to enter my unit alone. I tried the front office anyways to see if someone there could walk through with me. When I got to the office, it was being closed for the day. However, an employee, Paula, was willing to walk with me to my unit while I checked and made sure there was nothing odd inside. This was an example of exceptional staff going beyond their job role to ensure resident’s well-being.

I have lived here since I moved to San Marcos in 2020 and the management compared to then vs now has been such a positive change! My dog now has an enclosed space to play as well as a dog bath! Maintenance has been extremely quick when it comes to fixing any issues. I truly have enjoyed my time here.

I have lived in San Marcos for 5 years and at 4 different apartment complexes. The Haven by far is the best place I have ever stayed. Everyone who works in the office is extremely nice and helpful, and Hana, the manager, has always been very easy to contact. Its nice to see the boss in the office and willing to handle things in a hands on manner for the residents. My apartment has no major issues at all and Ive never had to wait more than 1 day for a maintenance request to be answered and taken care of. I definitely plan on resigning for a third time

I am enjoying living here! I really appreciate how friendly and helpful the staff are. As a new building, our unit had a couple issues moving in, but all those issues were promptly handled and we so appreciated that! Harrison, Raven, and Reece are a few particularly awesome team members who make me feel really welcome here and made me want to live here! I have two dogs and the place as a whole is very dog friendly which I love. The staff is always wanting to say hi to the dogs and even the maintenance team is really sweet with them and I love that. My only request would be that they create a fenced in doggie area, as that would be so much easier for me in the early morning/at night. I suggest living with a courtyard facing view; I love the community and view that comes with it! Haven is also always doing giveaways and sweet things for their residents(today they are giving anyone who asks a free pizza!). It’s a very new/updated apartment as well and I really enjoy how nice everything is. Overall, the staff make this place great, and In my experience will swiftly help you with any issue almost immediately. Definitely request Harrison/Raven/Reece for a tour and I’m sure you’ll be charmed by how sweet and welcoming they are. :)

We walked into Haven and received a warm welcome from Rhys - she was friendly, informative, professional and personable. The building is pristine with ample amenities and a great location. The room for rent is perfect...clean, new, modern with a great lay-out. Each room has their own bathroom and good size bathroom and closet.Rhys made the experience extremely easy and pleasant. Haven is lucky to have such a stellar employee! I’m excited for my daughter and her roommate to move there.

I must say the Haven felt a little over priced but, I can’t tell you how great it feels to live somewhere where the staff cares about you. The staff is amazing, Hana, the manager has been one of the best managers of an apartment complex I’ve encountered. In my 4 years of being at Texas state I have moved each time and I have never had more respect for an apartment complex. For me, you could have the best apartments but if the management is trash I don’t want it. The haven has been a great experience for me. The location is perfect and yes, there are minor fixes to be done like with every complex. For a newer complex they do a great job.

I have toured at Haven before it opened, and then visited my sister when she finally moved in. It was worth the wait! This property came out so beautifully. The courtyard is extremely nice and the units are brand new (I have also met the CUTEST pets ever here!). The staff is so sweet and always makes a point to be helpful. I have been up here every weekend since my sister moved in and I can not wait to come here in the fall for my freshman year. If you’re looking for housing, I would definitely recommend the Haven.

Just moved in and the apartment itself is amazing! Haven and its staff made me feel welcomed and helped me get situated very easily. Had a couple issues in the apartment, but thanks to David whos one of the tenants, he fixed my issues and made everything work and run smoothly! If you need anything fixed or helped with, ask for David! Hell make it happen!

The Haven on Thorpe Lane has been a great place to live. The maintenance comes and works efficiently when needed. The pool is pretty and relaxing. One of my favorites is the amount of parking space. The front office is great too, especially one of the leading agents Rhys. She’s extremely friendly and always greets you with a warm smile. She works hard and diligently and will always answers your questions for you with a happy attitude. If you’re interested in living at the Haven, definitely speak to Rhys and she will get you taken care of.

Some people are saying this place is a scam??? They dont have anything but love. This complex clearly cares about their residents. The leasing staff has been nothing but kind. Maintenance is usually able to address work orders within the first 72 hours. The amenities are amazing. The fitness center has so much equipment. The rooftop basketball court is awesome! Even if you dont play basketball, the view from up there is amazing. They also have an on-site officer that patrols that property and garage throughout the night. Definitely my favorite apartment Ive lived in!

I absolutely love The Haven compared to the last 2 apartments I’ve stayed at (outpost, the Lyndon). The staff here is so accommodating and extremely nice. The building is always up-kept and the unit I’m in is very spacious! My only complaint is the lack of natural light due to the location if my unit in the building.

This place was very up to date and stylish. The employees greeted me with a smile and made me feel very welcome. There are plenty of fun activities as well as resources for work or studying as I am a student and I work these are very useful. My apartment is very spacious and the staff paired me with a very sweet pet loving roommate. Being pet friendly was very important and Haven welcomed my pets with open arms! The location was perfect for my job and the rate was very reasonable for what you get.

I never write reviews for anything but the amount of professionalism and kindness of this staff is truly outstanding. Trying to find a decent apartment in San Marcos for a fair price is already hard but the Leasing Manager (Aleesa) made the search a whole lot faster. When I came in for my tour she explained everything so easily and I fell in love with the community, staff and most importantly the apartment. I had a million questions and everyone was right there to answer each and every one of them. I could not be more thankful to call Haven my home!

When I first came across this apartment online I was amazed that is was so beautiful and unlawful it wasn’t done however, an amazing rep for the apartment name Hana secured a spot for me with amazing deals that come with us waiting for it to be done. They have sent me updates on the property and day to day improvements to our main goal of moving in. I know once I’m moved in that the reps for the apartment will have my back and support any questions I have with this lease. A beautiful apartment with amazing help to assist you in your lease signing and moving in process. Bless to be in a position like this and ready to be comfortable has I finish my degree.

Great experience, the apartment was very clean on move in, about the only thing that was necessary was mopping the floor. Great staff and maintenance usually responds pretty fast. Theres also no suprise about stuff going on around the apartment because of alerts and emails sent out to residents.

I really like it here, the staff helped me a lot when it came to which apartment unit I could find, and helped with every question or concerns and request I had. The people are cool, the pets are cool, and the environment is great. Recommend for a nice apartment to live in. Plus the view over San Marcos is pretty awesome up on that rooftop!

The apartment definitely had a rocky start. They had a delayed opening of about a year but didn’t leave residents on the street and provided free housing at a different apartment. But I think they have definitely made up for it. I really appreciate how helpful and kind the staff are. As a new building, our unit and the complex had a couple issues moving in, such as cleanliness, some damage and security but all those issues were promptly handled or are in the process of being handled...and I really appreciated that! I love the community at Haven so far! Haven is always doing giveaways, free food, trivia, bingo, etc. It’s a very new/updated apartment with really nice appliances. The staff tries to help you with any issue almost immediately. I haven’t gotten to spend much time in the clubhouse/pool area because of COVID but they have a really nice clubhouse with a pooltable/ foosballtable. And the pool area looks really nice with a volleyball court and fire pits. The only thing I wish is that they had more security cameras. As this being a college town it can be expected for some residents to engage in theft, property damage etc. I would feel safer and I think it would help with the trash problem if there were more cameras on the property. But overall I’ve had a good experience at Haven so far and I think it was worth the wait.

The manager is very nice, and receptive to feedback. The rooms are very spacious and they are furnished with high quality furniture. The patio space is very nice. Unfortunately, some of the residents are not too clean even when trash cans are provided out there. Plenty of study rooms!

Oh Haven ! This is probably a late review to do it now. This is back in April, 2019 when I started a lease with them when the complex was still under construction but we were promised that it will be ready by June and we can move in, but it got postponed to August and somehow it ruined some summer plans for me. August is here but guess what? the building is like 60% finished, and I had no where to go. The apartment complex was done and ready to move in by May 2020. so 10 months after the promised date.So how come I am giving them 4 stars?!-This is why. They admitted their mistake and didnt try to get away with it.-First of all, with all what was going on, the staff was respectful and understanding of my situation.-They gave me a temporary place to stay in with two bedrooms so one roommate Just like my Haven lease was supposed to be, the temporary apartment wasnt the newest but it was livable.-They paid all 10 MONTHS rent with utilities, and asked me for 0 money.-When the move in time came which was around May 1st, I told them I cant move in right now since my finals are next week, its my graduation year, and It must be after my finals. They didnt give me hard time and accepted my request to move in after the finals.-After my finals, I didnt want to move in for only 3 months then move out again, so I found someone to sublease the rest of my contract, and again Haven staff were helpful, easy going, didnt try to make any money out of me, and didnt even charge me subleasing fee.Personally I want to give them 5 stars, but the mistake of not knowing when the building will be ready was a big mistake. Yet, they did fix it the best way possible and took full responsibility for it.I do recommend this place since it is open now, and I probably would live there if I ever go back to San Marcos.

Honestly at first was a little hesitant because of the distance to campus but a shuttle stop right across the street makes it so easy especially with covered parking. Been here for little over a year, had its ups and downs but overall, it’s a really nice place to live. It’s not too crazy like typical college housing. Everyone is pretty respectful and looks out for one another. I’ve had my fair share of issues but I mean everywhere you go will be the same. They handled everything well and follow up on everything. Work orders get taken care of and if not there’s always a follow up for more to provide a effort to resolve things. The front office is amazing and help with everything.

I have worked with Hana and her staff for the past year and half and have nothing but wonderful experiences. Everyone at the office is so nice and helpful. During the pandemic I was not able to see them as much as I would have liked to but I could always pick up the phone and call the office.and get the answers that were needed. I am one of the vendors that supplies the complex with parts that are needed. If I were to live in San Marcos and need an apartment I would choose this one, in fact my 2 grandsons are thinking about attending college there in San Marcos and I am going to recommend to my daughter that they get an apartment at Haven at Thorpe Lane.

I love the Haven. I understand everyone’s frustration with Delays. I’m having to commute from San Antonio everyday to work in San Marcos. I get the frustration I really do. But I appreciate management working with the residents. They have been cooperative and doing their best to give us incentives and waived rent. They have always been really nice and have great snacks. I am Happy to be a resident and I can’t wait to move in.

Kaylee and Raven are really sweet and are very informative and transparent with the progress of the property. Yes the construction is behind but you can tell they’re trying they’re hardest. They are super honest with what’s happening and willing to show you progress pictures so that you are not out of the loop. The property looks amazing and will be beautiful once it’s complete. It’s in a great location relative to txst and other shopping centers. You can’t go wrong with the all of the deals they are offering, this place is a STEAL!!

Haven is a great place to live if you are wanting to move to San Marcos. The luxury apartment speaks for itself. Aleesa Cortez was one of the ladies that helped me get settled in. Being a student from out of state I was worried about making sure that I could find a place that felt like home. Peyton went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and really showed me how the complex has that Southern Comfort I was seeking in a home. He was very informative and knowledgeable on the complex and the surrounding area. I give Peyton and his fellow employee Rhys a 5 star for making this “out of towner” feel welcome.

Honestly speaking I REALLY recommend this place! The people are amazing and so helpful! They really encourage a caring community and although I have yet to fully explore the facilities as far as I have seen they are great! Wonderful location, bus shuttle, Wifi and timely responses. Most residents are pretty nice only scary thing is someone knocking down the security bar in the parking garage.

My sister Juliette Mills goes to college in San Marcos. I had the opportunity to visit her at these apartments and WOW. Just beautiful. If they had apartments like this when I was in college I probably would have went for my Doctorates. I would 100 percent recommend to anyone looking for a safe and well maintained place to live.

We are In love!!!!! The view from our 5th floor balcony gives up the best views of the city! My favorite part is MY KITCHEN, which has a ton of space and an island that is perfect for a large dinner party or an intimate candle light dinner! Hani and her team are friendly and effective! We were originally suppose to move in last August but it was a little delayed but well worth the wait! Come tour, lease and live like The Jeffersons in a deluxe apartment in the sky!!!! She is fantastic at staying on top of things with her equipment when something is down, she calls immediately, is always a very professional and a pleasure to assist. She takes care of everything in a timely manner with regards to handling accounting . Hana is always making sure her gym equipment is maintained properly so her residents can enjoy using ProMaxima’ s amazing equipment with no delays if repairs are needed.
