    We moved in about a month ago and its been great! The approval process was fast and we received our answer the same day. Our apartment is perfect for us and we even have a nice sized balcony and washer/dryer connections.To make it even better the private lake is just a short little walk from our apartment and its so relaxing to be out there. Weve had just a couple small issues but Noemi and the maintenance team got us all fixed up! A lot of tenants have dogs and we feel totally safe walking ours around the property even late at night. Definitely come check them out.

Throughout my time here, Dom and the rest of the maintenance team have been A+. Things don’t always go smoothly, but they definitely try their best.Now in 2025, I decided to renew my lease because the majority of the same maintenance team is still here. The property management team has mostly left little to be desired and has had several turnovers since I’ve been here, but there are small improvements over time.Shoutout to the current maintenance team: you are the real rock stars.

    Current time of writing this: Feb 2025.If you’re looking to tour the place, ask for Dom. He’s part of the maintenance team, but he does a much better job giving a tour than most other leasing office staff I know.He does a great job with maintenance and is very knowledgeable about residents on the property. When something questionable happens around, he’s the go-to guy.

    Rosa is the bomb.com. Dependable AF when it comes to maintenance.She takes the time to understand the problem and doesn’t always just apply the easiest solution. If the problem persists, she’s makes sure it helps get sorted as long as you actually communicate what the issues are.Property is in a great location on the NE side with easy access to all the major highways.Leasing office staff is okay. Could be better, but definitely not the absolute worse I’ve encountered in town.

    So far i have appreciated my time here. The pricing is fair, the trail is perfect to walk my dogs, location is literally 15-20mins away from everywhere and the residents are pretty respectful. While the apartments may not be perfect, whenever an issue arises, Rosa and the maintenance team are always helpful and quick to get the job done.

    Sylvia is amazing! She’s always super helpful and goes out of her way to make sure everything is taken care of. Whenever I need something, she’s quick to help and always friendly. She really makes living here easier and more enjoyable. So glad she’s around!

    Since I was seriously searching for a suitable apartment, I was very disappointed that whoever was to provide me with a tour was a no show at the appointed time 0930am. Know that today is a holiday, Labor Day, but the Leasing Office did not post a sign they would be closed today. Prior to my arrival, Acadia had sent me two email reminders. Called them twice from parking lot, no response. Did drive around the Acadia on the Lake complex taking pictures of a few of the amenities provided by Acadia & to check how grounds and facilities were being maintained by management. Nothing disturbing. Read the website reviews. Many were negative and unflattering but noted the complainers in some cases were the culprits. Admired management proactively answering each complaints concerns. One occupant gave a raving reviewTalked to one long term tenant who was quite satisfied. Never did see any of the soon to be available apartments. Although I have a vehicle & drive, good to know VIA buses Stop here. Have no pet, considering, Apartment is animal friendly. $200 non-refundable Deposit and a monthly $20 fee. It has most of makings as the place to live, hoping & optimistic that Acadia would have been for me.

    I used to live here about 8 years ago & the management has always treated me very well. I moved back into these apartments about 4 days ago & once again was more than welcomed and felt right at home. Laura was extremely helpful, guiding me through the move in process and kept me informed on what I needed to do next every step of the way. She also thoroughly went over the forms I was signing at the time of move in and did an amazing job explaining the rental agreement as outlined. Im glad I was able to establish this positive standing with the front office & I know Ill enjoy my stay here.

    Having to find a place almost immediately is stressful on anyone. James and Ashley were truly amazing through the entire process. Very responsive, understanding, and they completely flipped an apt in the course of 48 hours to accommodate me and my family! They addressed every concern, any issue I had, they fixed almost immediately. It’s all about communication. They definitely went above and beyond!

    Laura (Leasing Specialist) is amazing!I stopped by Acadia late in the day as a walk-in (around 4:30pm) on Thursday, August 22. I entered the office and Laura immediately came over to greet me and made me feel right at home. She gave me a tour of two different apartments and the property and took time to answer a lot of questions I have about San Antonio and Texas in general. (My wife and I will be relocating to San Antonio from another state.) She was extremely genuine, helpful, and professional! I did not feel rushed and felt like I had her full attention. It was a fantastic experience. My wife and I will be touring Acadia again once we arrive in San Antonio and I hope she has the privilege of meeting Laura and receiving that excellent customer service.

    4 year happy resident here! Ive seen this place change management a few times, and I love our new team. Theyre making improvements to the grounds & landscaping.This is an older apartment with some charm. Not fancy, but we are very happy here. The walking trail is one-of-a-kind in San Antonio!Maintenance has been wonderful. Our AC went out, and it was fixed within 18 hours. Never needed any other repairs, really!We had cockroaches last summer, due to messy neighbors. The office did all they could, including fumigation. So far so good!The community is vibrant and friendly. People are always grilling, swimming, kids running around, people fishing at the lake, feeding ducks, etc. The fourth of July is especially fun.Also, the dumpsters are emptied more often than any other apt Ive lived at. Its amazing how clean this property is.Thank you Acadia!

    I worked with the manager Sylvia on my application to lease an apt. The process was so smooth and easy, she was very nice and seems to really care about her property. Met the maintenance supervisor Rosa who was also very pleasant. The apts are so nice and the process again was easy and pretty quick. I had an approval the next day and am moving in this weekend. Even after a hiccup with the a/c and flooring in the apt I was going to lease they had it done asap so I could still move in. Im super excited as the staff and the property are amazing.

    I love living here it’s nice, quiet, management and staff are super friendly and professional whenever something breaks they’re on it. I’ve lived here for about 10 months and it’s been great. The lake on property is nice and relaxing. There are ducks and geese and sidewalks to walk around the lake to get some exercise or tables to just sit and get some outside time.

    Noemi & Rosa have been an absolute godsend with repairing our shower today.I would like to review them 5 stars on EACH the following work orders:Fixing the front door lockRepairing the shower TWICEPatching the hole in the bathroom ceiling (this was an ordeal with the previous property management)Replacing our dishwasherMaking sure the lord door didn’t squeak anymore.I also want to give Dominic a shout out who helped me rescue a palm tree from the dumpster (even though it turned out to be fake 😅!). You’re a real one, my dude.As far as the property itself goes, it’s an old property and there’s a long way to go to get this place up par with the rent they’re charging. We really appreciate the new property management as they are trying way harder than RPM ever did. But with all the issues we had in the apartment (it was literally always something), we won’t be renewing our lease. The walking trails around the lake really sold us to this place, but in the end, it’s just not worth the price tag.Best of luck to Shippy property team. We can see the efforts being made. I hope it all works out.

    This five star rating is for Ray from the management team in the leasing office! He’s been outstanding and super helpful. I’ve been having a problem with a leak for quite some time now but as soon as I told him, he assisted right away. He came to see it in person and had help sent immediately. He gave updates and was super responsive. When he’s in the leasing office, my husband and I know we can rely on him to communicate with us, keep us updated, and get the job done!

    I have been living here a few months now and really enjoy the area. My apartment overlooks a green belt where they have places to walk around near the lake and it is quite beautiful.Though we have had many bumps along the road (there were many things broken on move in) Maintenance has been working through them, getting things taken care of bit by bit. The most recent was my AC unit. The apartment was sweltering and its only May. Rodrick began diagnosing the issues a while back and this past few days the whole crew worked to get it fixed. Last night the apartment registered at 66°! Thank you all again for your help, its so nice to feel comfortable again.

    I have almost a year living here the management and maintenance was a joke.Since the property was bought out and shippy took over I will say it’s improved and continually improving. The management, I forgot her name but she is on it. Since day one that I met her she has been on it and doesn’t screw around. I like her attitude and all.The maintenance NOEMI and ROSA. These women do phenomenal. I’ve had a leaky sink for months. The management before didn’t do anything they claimed it just needed tightening, dude it leaked for months.I saw Noemi and asked her a question about who the new maintenance were. I come home at the time I told her I was going to be home and she was already there with Rosa ready to fix my problem. Rosa confirmed the disposal was broken, noemi assured me she had already ordered the part and that they will return when the part got there. At 9 am the next day, just as I had woken up I heard a knock and It was them. Rosa knew what she was doing and changed out the garbage disposal real quick, sealed it and went off their merry way. Very professional, respectful, honest and chill people. I had a great convo with Rosa. Noemi is very professional.So far so good for shippy, it’s improving.

    The maintenance team, Sergio and Francis, are amazing. They go above and beyond and take care of issues that you didn’t know you had. My AC unit wasn’t working and not only did Sergio fix it, he replaced the fan that caused such a loud sound I would hear nonstop, and updated the interface from analog to electric! I live here confident that my home will be serviced when necessary and that it will be taken care of throughly and properly! Thanks to Sergio and Francis!With the lake, competitive prices, friendly staff and neighbors, and responsive service I am happy to call acadia home.This may not be true for other buildings but I have no issues with bugs or rodents. I have only seen 4 little roaches in the bathroom in the 6 months I have lived here and they haven’t sprayed inside at all since we moved in.The prices are competitive, the layouts are open, and the porches are large. The roads were just finished so they’re smooth. We’re 1 mile from 3 different HEBs, close to the wurzbach parkway and I-35 and the San Antonio location of the Church of God (watv.org)Good location for getting anywhere really.Be prepared to bring your own light fixtures for some rooms, and prioritize buildings and apartments for getting lots of sunlight!

    One thing I can say about living at Acadia is the maintenance team. Pedro, is one of the best. He always knows what to look for, how to fix it and completely transparent. I know its gonna get done when hes on it, it showed he does care. I sure hope he is appreciated by Roscoe as much as we do.Living in apartments, youre gonna get complaints about this, that, or the other. They are doing their best to turn it around and I see the difference. When you have a great maintenance team it just makes living here that much better.

    I moved into this place 1 month ago. Just like you reading this, I read some bad reviews as well. Let me tell you I am comfortable and I love it. There is a great sense of community and its attributed to their staff and new management. Marlon, Coral and management have events to get the community to meet your neighbors. They include family and kids events which allow tenants to interact and feel good knowing your other families. Shout out to Acadias staff!!!!! Keep up the good work.

    I am a first time lease holder and i couldnt of picked a better place to live. the complex is very quiet. everyone who seems to live here is very respectful of the other residence. the front office is helpful and go the extra mile to make you feel special. the young maintenance man Pedro is very respectful and polite and really knowledgeable when it came to my heater and i am transfering to a different unit and the process was so simple and easy. would not want to live any place else highly recommend this complex.

    I have seen many changes in the property, and I have family that reside there. The new manager is doing above and beyond to display great team ethics. The maintenance respond swiftly and communicate if there will be any wait time. The park like scene is Serene and my kids enjoy the ducks..You have to give credit where its due, and I would recommend this place to others.

    I walked in about 15 minutes before they closed and wanted to just get a brochure. I was actually greeted by two wonderful, smiling faces... that doesnt happen 1. that close to closing time and 2. at all! Callie & Felisha were both very helpful, informative, and very enthusiastic. They both were very patient with my questions and if they didnt know the answer, they found it right away. They still took their time, addressed other customers coming in and did not lose sight of the task at hand. Callie and Felisha didnt go out of their way, they did their job well and exceeded expectations. I went to 9 properties and by far, hands down the best customer service I had all day! Kudos!

Stopped by to speak with the manager and she stopped what she was doing to listen to my issues. I was very impressed with her way of dealing with things. After speaking with her I would recommend these apartments.

    Wonderful apartments. I received great assistance by leasing agent lenee, she was very kind and knowledgeable of the apts. she gave me a tutor and was able to show me around and thoroughly answer any questions I asked. I look forward to being a future resident.

    I have been having lots of maintenance issues with my apartment. My roof has been leaking in rainstorms. I called maintenance and Pedro came to check my roof. While there he was extremely helpful and fixed some other maintenance issues in my apartment. He was really sweet and helpful.

    1st.. Mr. Rodrick Cason... Please excuse my late posting of a promised review! I had misplaced the post-it where I had jotted down your name. & then.. I wasnt sure if this was your correct place of employment. Until.. I took some time to look over passed reviews and saw your name multiple times, always mentioned as a delight to be serviced by. Now.. Acadia on the Lake.. I truly hope you have taken the time to show Mr. Cason your gratitude for having him on your team. He deserves it so much! He deserves that respect & raise! :) If not already.. Besides... another one wouldnt hurt. ♡ Rodrick was lending his expertise, time, and attention here at The Distinction Apartments & our apartment had been needing service for multiple things, one being the garbage disposal. We had reported the issue several times and had it serviced each time. However, each time it would just break again. Ever since Rodrick helped us, we have not had that issue. That was only one thing he helped to fix that day. (Thank you for that Rodrick!) He was very very polite, professional, & efficient! So I just wanted to take some time to acknowledge his work and to Express my gratitude to him and to The Acadia on the Lake for employing such a kind and efficient person! Also.. Mr. Casons parents, his family.. for raising such a well mannered soul. ♡ He truly is a blessing.. Thank you for your time & for allowing me to share my experience.     KUDOS to the maintenance man named Ivan ! Dude came knocking at the door 10 mins after I called in about the A\C not working. He didn’t invite himself in (which most maintenance guys are known for doing ) he waited for me to confirm that I was the one who called and I let him in. I had friends over that day and they had a dog that kept jumping on him every once in awhile and despite that he remained very professional and unbothered. My apt was at 86 degrees that day(It was hotter inside my apt than it was outside). It didn’t take long but he had the A/C working again and every one in the apt could immediately tell the difference. I don’t know what he did but it got so cold that night I had to turn the A/C off for a minute lmao. It may not be a big deal to any future residents who will possibly read this but it’s not bad living here. Its decent and affordable and having a quick responsive maintenance team is a huge plus.

    April, 2019, begins my eighth year at Acadia, with a comfortable apartment, a beautiful lake and convenient access to public transportation. The management team here is top notch and have been unfailingly courteous and responsive to maintenance and other requests. This team includes Community Manager Janie Martinez and her assistant Anissa Reyes, efficient and resourceful front office consultants Lindsi Hobbs and Marlon Scurlock, and the talented Lead Maintenance Supervisor Rosa Marquez, who runs an effective maintenance crew.Im looking forward to several more years at Acadia!

    I have to say when it comes getting it done Rosa is on top of it!I had a shower head issue this past weekend, put in a maintenance request on Sunday. By Monday morning it was already completed and replaced.Thank you Rosa

    We moved in October here and have had problems with a/c and 4 different other things. 4 times people came but never fixed. UNTIL TODAY!!! Your new employee, RODRICK CASON, came and in 1 1/2 hours fixed EVERYTHING! He was so intelligent, polite, respectful and thorough! And he explained everything in detail! THANK YOU FOR HIRING HIM!

    I have been at Acadia 3 months and the staff are extremely helpful. I especially appreciate Anissa, always willing to go the extra mile to expedite problems that have come up. Although, the other staff members are great Anissa really made the Somoye family feel at home.

    I had mice that ate my breads on top of the refrigerator and ask if can sent maintenance to cover hole behind to prevent rotten to continue eat my bread and sent guys to bring mouse trap with peanut butter to eliminate rats. But still need work order to cover hole up behind frigerator. But for everything in the place is okay.

    I love living in this community. Feels like a home 🥰 I love the trail, and the pond with the ducks. Love when the wittle baby ducks hatch. The apartments have worked overtime to complete work orders, even with the pandemic going on
