I needed to find an affordable apartment within my price range. After searching everywhere in the vicinity, the only apartments I could afford that I could find were at the Palms on Lamar. It has been such a relief because no other apartments were in my price range. Now, I can get off the streets and into a safe home. Thanks!

The other people living at the Palms of Lamar have been really good neighbors. It is always quiet and the 10PM noise ordinance is actually enforced so its been great for the little ones. I like that the hallways are always clean and the community always looks put together. Its been a great place to call home.

I was visiting Austin and my friend lived at this apartment complex. I knew it was affordable housing, but I was pleasantly surprised with how nice it was. The neighbors were super friendly also, we hung out and did a BBQ one night. It definitely felt like a community. If I ever moved to Austin I would definitely consider The Palms on Lamar for my apartment living situation.

I absolutely love my studio apartment at Palms on Lamar! Its incredibly easy to maintain and clean, which makes my busy lifestyle much more manageable. The rent is amazingly affordable. It is a fantastic value for such a great living space. Highly recommend it!

My neighbors made me feel right at home. They gave me a home-cooked meal to welcome me to the complex and helped me find my way around. I never had neighbors so warm and friendly before. It has been a refreshing change compared to the last place I lived. I love it here.

I feel like the staff actually cares about providing good-quality service to tenants, which is an experience I never had anywhere else. I think I’ll stay at the Palms for a long time because of it.

What surprises me about my one-bedroom apartment is its enormous size. I can’t believe how big it is for such a low monthly price. There is enough room to store all my possessions without feeling cluttered. There is no other apartment that offers so much space for such a low price.

So far, I have not had any problems since I moved into the Palms. The staff and other tenants are all nice and friendly. I was really surprised by that because the last place I lived did not have such pleasant people there. The Palms certainly surprised me with how socially accepting it is. Thanks guys!

Communication between staff is okay.(When applying, be persistent and dont assume anything.) Theyre affordable housing so practically anyone is welcome here and they try to get you in as soon as possible...The rooms are decent, especially from the location and price-wise. A nice place to start over if youve had hard luck within your life.

I have been thru driving and dropping folks off but first time ever going into an apartment and they are way bigger than I imagined.. thats cuz I think its the biggest one bedroom I have ever seen... And its always so clean!!

Giving 5 stars because this is the only apartment in an 80 mi radius under $800 with availability. The other reviews are extremely petty, first world problems I think is what they call them. I’ve been homeless all summer searching for an apartment I can afford, as far out as New Braunfels, Georgetown and La Grange. If roaches, petty crime, and small parking spots are your biggest problem then you’ve got it pretty damn good from where I’m sitting. Maybe move out so someone who NEEDS a low income apartments and would APPRECIATE a roof over their head can move in.

Just moved in at the beginning of feb but the application process was smooth and got approved right away. This place is affordable housing so ofcourse it comes with its issues but if you are expecting a luxury apt at the price your kidding yourself. Jose was great and attentive. There was no bias in there approval process. Dont let the reviews here steer you away, give it a look for yourself.

In my case I have not had any problems with either the apartment or the office staff, they have been very friendly and are always waiting to check that everything is fine 👍I read that it was said in some comments that they are very dirty. I think that depends on how you have your apartment. You yourself have to make sure that it is clean and apart from that, every morning a man goes by collecting all the garbage that uneducated people throw outside, I think. that if we were all more conscientious about throwing the garbage away it would look betterThere are people who, because they believe they are paying, may speak in an incorrect way to the staff who work here. Lets be polite and treat others as we would like to be treated.
