This is by far the best sunglass and optic store in Houston. Every time I go to Eyewear Republic I get the best service from Jairo. He takes his time and makes sure that I get the glasses that most suit my face along with ensuring the best possible fit. Jairo was a consummate professional in every way. He is passionate and knowledgeable about lens making and eyewear. My vision in my new glasses is so crisp and clear that in spite of having the same prescription, I got my old glasses fitted with his lenses.He has exacting taste when it comes to the selection of frames available in his store and even picked my new frames. Despite the custom nature of his work, my new glasses were ready in two days! I will be a returning customer.

I’ve worn glasses for 20 years. I have never had an experience like the one I had at Eyewear Republic! Jairo is detail oriented, talented, and knows so much about optics. I have an extremely high prescription and my glasses have always looked like coke bottles until I came to him. He helped me pick my frames and made the lenses the thinnest I have ever seen! Great selection, and impeccable service. The frames offered are chic, wearable, and affordable. It is definitely a shop for discerning customers who want sharp looking, fashionable eyewear, but with the edge of having discounted prices. Houston is a better place, because they are here. Jairo, the owner is always on hand to suggest, and fit you into something that looks great, that compliments your use and lifestyle. They also use a high tech machine to help determine the proper alignment of the prescription within the lenses for optimum vision. My wife and I just recently bought new frames for our new prescriptions, and so now our total of frames and sunglasses purchased there comes to SIX new frames, not including outfitting some of the older frames with a new prescription. The fact we keep coming back is a testament to Jairo’s insistence on excellence. ( and good prices, ha ha!)If one needs to wear glasses, they NEED to look good, and be quality. They are the accessory that will be worn ( and seen) everyday. Quite simply, Jairo is a world class optical craftsman. His care, attention to detail and passion for perfection makes all the difference to the end product.
