We were initially skeptical of home-buying companies, given their general bad reputation for taking advantage of people, but from the onset Metroplex Homebuyers was different. Their quick-and-easy appointment scheduling system left a good first impression and the quick turnaround time was nice as well. We worked with Justin, who was genuine, honest, and kind throughout the entire process. Metroplex Homebuyers are FABOULOUS!But let me tell you a story first. I was not really looking to sell my home. Like actively looking to sell my home. But I was contacted by another company, and I thought sure why not investigate. Their representative came out, made me an offer, a very low one I could not accept. I reached back out 2 days later and said I would take 5K more than their offer if they wanted to make a deal. They responded back, now offering 5K less than the pathetic offer they made to begin with! I will not name this company as I have already filed a complaint with the Texas Real Estate Commission.A week went by and I thought, maybe I should reach out to someone else because at this point I figured it was a good idea to sell my home.I reached out to Metroplex Homebuyers. I was immediately contacted by Brandon and we scheduled an appointment.I asked plenty of questions, and I also told him a bit of my story. We were in such a quandary. My sister was in a nursing home, her husband had died and her house was in the process of foreclosure. We didn’t have the money to repair it, and a real estate agent we consulted with suggested we contact an investor/rehabber. We really lucked out when we met Brandon Franklin of Metroplex Homebuyers. He assessed the situation and made a fair cash offer, with the closing date only 30 days away. What a relief! But Brandon went above and beyond the basic transaction. About a week before closing, we got a notice from the city that, due to the high grass in the yard, they were going to place a lien on the house. This would have stopped the sale in its tracks. The house was in Texas, and I’m in Florida. What to do? I called Brandon and, the very next day, he had the lawn mowed! Crisis averted! Justin was absolutely amazing from begining to end despite not actually selling the house. All of the positive reviews we read were right on the mark about Metroplex Homebuyers. Not only did they show a genuine interest in the house, Justin listen to the backstory on it, asked in depth questions, and explained the process as it is done in the respective field of similar businesses, and then how they do business. He offered to review any offers or contracts from other companies even if we did not sell to them. Due to legal issues trying the house up, we had to let them move on to other clients due to time constraints. If you have questions, not sure how the process works, want a smooth and stress free experience...we can not recommend Meteoplex Homebuyers any more than this.
