In May of 2021, my husband and I found a great home in The Woodlands that needed full renovation. The home had not been updated since it was built in 1992. The home was over 4,000 square feet and taking on a project like this was overwhelming and very stressful for both of us. During the option period, Nick and Jodi with L&C Development met us at the home. We had not met them before but had been referred to them by a friend that had a great experience with them remodeling their home. From the moment we first walked through the home with Nick and Jodi, it was obvious they had a full understanding of the intricacies of remodeling an entire house. The scope of the renovation was complete remove and replace, most rooms down to the studs. We had a strict timeline as we were to be leasing back our current home for two months, thus we needed Nick and Jodi to complete the renovation very quickly. Our confidence in Nick and Jodi’s ability to turn the house into our home allowed us to move forward with the purchase. 1 hour after we closed on the home, Nick and Jodi had crews on site preparing for demolition. After getting started, we were overwhelmed having to pick out fixtures and finishes for the entire home. Jodi’s great design eye navigated us and helped us make decisions quickly in order to keep the project on schedule. With any full home renovation, problems arose on a regular basis as the scope of the work progressed. Nick and Jodi’s ability to come up with quick solutions was key to keep the project on schedule. Also, given the scope of the project, the budget for this project needed strong management. Jodi did a fantastic job ensuring we could stay on budget and found tons of ways that we can save money with creative solutions and also leveraging the very strong relationships she has with subs and suppliers. Jodi managed our budget like it was her own money. In addition, something very very important for those reading this review to know is the relationship Jodi and Nick have with their subs. It is something that sets them apart from other contractors. Jodi and Nick have built a business big enough to be able to keep dedicated subcontractors. This allows Jodi and Nick the ability to control the project schedule. Without this control, there would be no way to complete such a large project like ours within 2 months. Also, the subs they use are all extremely good at what they do which resulted in a fantastic finished product. Also, another important thing to know, Nick and Jodi don’t cut corners on materials. The quality of paint, grout, etc. is all best in class. This also contributes to an end product that makes their clients very happy. Jodi and Nick worked tirelessly on our project and were accessible and present every step of the way. They took such pride in their work, to the same level as though it was their own home. They stand by their commitment to their clients to fulfill their goals towards their dream home! We consider ourselves extremely lucky to have found them and thoroughly enjoyed the process! They are fanatic people and also some of the hardest working people we have every met. Knowing what we know, there is no reason to choose anyone else to renovate your home other than L&C Development. Also, as they say in some of the fixer upper shows, with Nick and Jodi by your side, you can “have the guts to take on a fixer upper”.

We met Jodi and Nick after seeing what a beautiful job they were doing on our neighbor’s house. Our neighbors couldn’t speak more highly of them and their experience with these contractors. After almost going with another contractor and not feeling 100% comfortable, we asked to get a quote from Jodi and Nick. We immediately felt very confident in their ability and knew right away we wanted to use them to renovate all 4 full bathrooms in our home. They were very professional and had great ideas throughout the entire process. The subs worked hard 6 days a week and were easy to have around while we were in the house—very trustworthy too. Plus, because something came up on our end necessitating that our master bath be finished sooner, Jodi and Nick went above and beyond to make sure the project got finished quicker to suit our needs. We loved working with them as well as getting to know them personally—such a sweet family. We love our new bathrooms and would not hesitate to use them again!!

Don’t think twice!! Hire Jodi and Nick Dewaal of L & C Development!! We found Jodi and Nick through a friend of friend scenario, and we are so happy that we did. We hired them for our full house remodel. Jodi and Nick have made the process so easy. Remodels are alway crazy and challenging especially when you live in the house during the process like we did. I can honestly say that once our project began, we had workers in our house everyday (6-7 days a week) until complete. Jodi and Nick have wonderful crews, and Jodi is extremely organized. She keeps everything moving along quickly. She sends weekly schedules, so you will know exactly what is going to take place each week. She and Nick are very responsive to any questions or concerns you may have. Jodi has a great eye for design and details and will help you with all of your selections. We have lived through 2 full home remodels, and this one has been the smoothest, most organized and most efficient one I have seen. I can honestly say that I will miss having them pop in daily to check on the progress. They are not just our contractor, but we now consider them our friends. They have been a blessing to our family.

Thankful to have found Nick and Jodi who recently completed our home remodel. Everything we asked for and more was completed with meticulous detail to our home. The work is absolutely beautiful and done professionally with some of the nicest workers I have ever met. Nick and Jodi always kept appointments and were quick at communicating anything needed during the process (we were on vacation for a lot of the remodel). The entire team is trustworthy and professional. You won’t be disappointed.

Let me say this first: If we were to start a project like ours all over again we would select Nick and Jodi DeWaal of L&C Development without hesitation. Secondly, we would certainly recommend them to family and friends. In fact, we already have. Many of our neighbors stopped by to visit throughout the construction of a sunroom, outdoor kitchen and pool deck. We gladly told them how happy we were with the contractor.Nick and Jodi were great to work with. They listened carefully to our plans and ideas. They then executed what we wanted. They have a great team of subcontractors – framers, electricians, plumbers, roofers, HVAC, flooring, painters, cement work, carpenters. They all respect Nick and Jodi. They appreciate the work they get from being in business with L&C Development. Spanish is my mother tongue allowing me to talk with any of the team members for whom English is a second language. I could sense how much they appreciated the opportunity to work with Nick and Jodi.The project was a significant addition to our home. It took careful coordination to make things happen in the correct sequence with sufficient timing for each subcontractor to complete their tasks prior to the arrival of the next one in the plan.Everything was not perfect throughout the project. There were issues with a sidewalk, a couple of windows and a door. There were punch-list items identified by the inspector or by us. We had miscommunications where we did not understand certain issues and what each other meant. What was important, was how Nick and Jodi responded to the issues. We discussed them openly. They addressed them all at the right pace. Some needed immediate attention, some could be done later in the project. What we truly appreciated is that Nick and Jodi acted on every issue with professionalism.In conclusion, I want to congratulate Nick and Jodi for the team they have built and thank them for making us so happy with the addition to our home.

I would highly recommend L & C Development for your home remodel. We remodeled 3 bathrooms and 2 fireplaces in under 3 weeks. I am a bit of a perfectionist and the quality of work was excellent, the price of work was very reasonable and the timeline was excellent. Jodi has a beautiful eye for design, is excellent at logistics which keep the job moving along, and communicates constantly so that you always know what is happening next. The work crews did great work, are nice, and aim to please. We had a really great experience! As a bonus, we really like Jodi, Nick and Alex personally. Great people!

Jodi and Nick were an amazing team start to finish. We had them remodel our kitchen, master bathroom, and kid’s bathroom. They had great design ideas and took care of all of the details so we didn’t have to. Going in we knew they had a good reputation for completing the job in a timely fashion with quality end product. They did not disappoint. They are good at hiring competent subcontractors, ordering materials timely, and completing the work timely. Our remodel was complete in one month and we couldn’t be happier with our new spaces. It’s not many times that I would recommend contractors to friends and family, but I have no hesitation in recommending L&C Development.

We hired Jodi and Nick to do a total home remodel in The Woodlands and we couldnt be happier! We knocked down supported walls, installed lvp flooring throughout, new staircases, 3 custom bathrooms with top of the line tile, new kitchen with high end finishes, new fireplace tile and stained mantle, custom wood and trim work and much more! All done seamlessly and in record time when materials and good labor are hard to find in this market! Jodis attention to detail with design in mind coupled with a very high level of customer service makes them best in the business. I have extremely high standards and they have exceeded our expectations in all ways. We were referred to Jodi and Nick from a previous client of theirs and we will continue to refer them business. They are kind, fair, patient, honest, and professional. I had no idea that a renovation could even be this smooth. We just completed a home remodel of our kitchen, both bathrooms and removal of carpet and tile throughout all of our living areas replaced with wood tile. We got 3 quotes from 3 different contractors and decided to go with Jodi and Nick. Their quote was fair and reasonable. We love our house. We were impressed with how coordinated the work was with sub-contractors in the house every day working on the various projects. Jodi was very responsive to our communications and resolved little issues that came up quickly. We moved out of our home for the renovations and Jodi was very mindful of our deadlines to move back in. Even with COVID, we were able to get great product and be back in our home in the time we needed. All of her sub-contractors were great and very considerate of our home. We love our renovations and our home and just in time for the holidays.

We worked with Jodi and Nick on a complete remodel of our second floor (game room, guest room and full bath) as well as a full remodel of our kitchen (cabinets, backsplash, sink and countertops). We could not be more thrilled with the results. Everything is beautiful. We love our new spaces! Just as important, they gave us time frames for both projects and delivered as promised. Jodi was extremely helpful with the design and selections. The quality of the work is exceptional and whenever we needed something addressed, they took care of it immediately. Jodi assisted in my kitchen renovation and was able to offer great design insight and helped us deal with issues that arose during construction (which I believe ultimately saved us a great deal of money). Workers always showed up on time. Excellent workmanship. Nick made sure every last detail was attended to. Our kitchen is absolutely gorgeous and we couldn’t be happier. We will definitely use this company again and will recommend to friends and family.

I cannot say enough about how fantastic Jodi and Nick are. They completely reconfigured and remodeled my kitchen, master bath, upstairs bath and removed a bunch of built in cabinets for me - BIG job. They are punctual, pay amazing attention to detail, have excellent ideas, keep to time schedule, and are easy to work with and pleasant. My house looks amazing, thanks to them. The cabinet choices, colors, tile and hardware are perfect. The craftsmanship is outstanding. The inside of my home looks like a brand new custom home. REVISED Review... The company has excellent communication.The quality of work is average. L&C were more than accommodating with the bank that had given all of us a lot of problems.Old review: House was approximately 40% done.The house we are renovating was built in the 1920s so it is a big project. Jodi and Nick both came into my life like angels sent from heaven. No, I am not exaggerating! My contractor beforehand was a POS maybe even the devil himself.He took our money and completed very little work. What was completely, shoddy at best with no attention to detail. Nor did the work pass inspection. To top it off he stole copper from wires that were previously replaced.After being left in a lurch, we interviewed eight yes EIGHT other contractors before we found Jodi and Nick. They have really come together and helped us out with a very tight budget. So far everything has gone great and we really appreciate their help.Nick and Jodi are excellent communicators and are just a text away. I hear back from them almost immediately.

Hired Nick and Jodi in 2018 to remodel our home and couldnt be happier. So many sketchy contractors out there to be aware of! They are honest, professional, reliable and actually fun to work with. They live local and come by to check on status often which is important. Problems are addressed immediately and if extra things come up, they dont upcharge. This is huge! So many people I talked with got nailed with extra things once their remodel started. Not with this company. Highly recommend l&c development, I have referred them to friends and colleagues who are thrilled as well!

My wife and I are tenets in a newly renovated home in North Texas. Several of our service requests were assigned to L&C Development. Jodi has been AMAZING. She is very responsive, and has worked urgently with the property management company to address several issues with the HVAC, insulation and windows. She was genuinely concerned about the second story of our home not staying cool (in the middle of summer) and has been in constant communication with me and the property management company throughout the process.

Within 10 mins I knew we found our Contractor.He and his Wife, Jodi, are High Energy, Get to work and Get It Done People. SUPER FAST response time to Questions and Issues. Their Crews were AMAZING. All First Class Work and extremely Accommodating. The Crews were Pleasant to work with and I miss seeing some of them on a Daily basis. If we had an unforseen issue or even an outcome not within our Vision, they made it right in our eyes, all the time making us feel like we were important. I recently contacted them to do another job for us. I will continue to utilize their Company Service. Wise Choice to Call them for Estimates!!!
