I was quite skeptical looking into selling my house to a cash buyer. I was still skeptical, but Jack came across as very transparent, so I decided to give it a shot. To my surprise, everything went as Jack had said it would, with absolutely no surprises. I want to thank HomeGo for doing a great job of selling my house. I had owned this home for 45 years and lived there often. My family also lived there off and on so the house was never empty. Renting it out I found was a problem and once my tenet left I decided to sell. I was aware of the work that needed to be done and I did not have the time, energy or the money to do it. Once I received the letter from HomeGo I decided to call them. I am always skeptical of these things and I moved with caution. The local realtor Max McCullough was very professional and was always available for questions and got me the answers I needed. Upon my Dads passing, a huge project was conducting an estate sale and selling his residence. I had never used a home buying company before but decided to call HomeGo based on good ratings and feedback. Charles Oakes, our HomeGo representative, set an appointment to walk through the house, do an assessment, and provide an offer. Charles was extremely friendly and respectful of our situation. He provided an offer and explained his rationale behind the offer. Charles discussed required remodel work needed to market the house, approximate expenses, what HomeGo needed for their efforts, etc. After comparing a couple of other similar home buying companies and meeting their representatives, Charles Oakes was our favorite. We accepted an offer and set a closing date. Throughout this time, we had hired an Estate Sales company to dispose of the house contents. For the next few weeks, while the Estate representatives were preparing for the sale, Charles was remarkable in the way he worked with them as he scheduled his contractors to conduct walk-throughs. Charles was always respectful of the job they needed to do and worked so his guys would not interfere. Additionally, I needed a few days after closing to wrap up the estate sale, and HomeGo was very accommodating leasing the house back to me for a few days. Working with HomeGo and Charles Oakes, especially, during this difficult time, was a far more pleasant experience than we had expected. I have recommended these folks to friends that have been in the same predicament.

We went into the sale with very real expectations about what we would get. Michael Ruwwe was very open with us throughout the whole process about value of the property and what their company could offer. Once we decided to go through with the deal, everything happened very quickly. Since we dealt directly with them, we paid no closing costs, fees, or commissions. I was out of state and they even paid for a mobile notary to come so I could sign the paperwork. I feel like those who have commented about low-balling went in with unrealistic expectations. I reached out to HomeGo after receiving a letter in the mail offering to buy my home. I had a rental property that I was looking to sell, and it needed some major upgrades before selling. I no longer lived near the rental property and didn’t have the appetite for completing the renovations myself.
