Meghan and Taunya were wonderful throughout our process for a 2nd-Parent Adoption. Meghan, our attorney, was extremely knowledgeable and up-to-date on the current laws and potential future laws in Texas, which you would think should be a given but other attorneys we had consults with were not as informed.We held off on doing the 2nd-parent adoption for several years due to cost and wish we would have not hesitated and moved forward earlier.The process through Gottfried Alexander Law Firm was very easy and really did not need much attention from us as they handled all the necessary information on the backend.If you have any hesitations on hiring this firm, or cost for their services- know that you are in wonderful hands and the process is very minimal, especially for busy individuals with limited time.

What an AMAZING EXPERIENCE! We used Meghan for our adoption and the amount of service and support we received was one of a kind. We reached out to several lawyers and we knew the moment we had the phone consult with Meghan, this was the team we wanted to work with. They worked with us financially on all aspects, gave us a great referral for our social worker and were on top of the entire process. I always have a lot of questions and every time I did and emailed them, they were fast responding, great communicating and I knew exactly where we were and what the next step was throughout the entire process. Absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. We just completed our second second parent adoption. The first was this Suzanne Bryant (an absolute rockstar) but between our kids she retired from adoption proceedings and recommended Meghan. Despite having big shoes to fill, Meghan and her team were flawless. They made a potentially onerous task a breeze, completing our adoption less than two months after our babe was born.Additionally, Meghan kindly advised us on getting all of the necessary estate planning docs (not just wills) in order to protect our LGBT family no matter what happens in the political climate.I cannot recommend Meghan and her team enough!

When my husband and I found ourselves hoodwinked in a home purchase, we did not know where to turn. We felt punched in the gut, angry, hopeless and a bit stupid. Our heads were spinning and we didn’t know where to turn. David Gottfried was recommended to us, so we called and he agreed to take our case. We’d never been in a situation like this before and were very stressed and had a million questions throughout the whole process. Gottfried Alexander Law Firm, in my experience (over the potential legal issues I faced over the past several years) provided absolutely brilliant advice and counsel and helped work through the stresses involved in being sued by money-hungry unscrupulous individuals. They guided and explained thoughout the entire process and made key moves during the proceedings that avoided unnecessary legal fees and courtroom time. This saved considerable funds over the course of the lawsuit. The research performed was exceptional. They looked at every angle and insured we were positioned for advantage at every turn and there were many. In the end, we were able to limit our legal fees and the case was dropped due to Gottfrieds knowledge of the law and great experience in handling these suits. Its great to know there are lawyers of this caliber and ethical standard in Austin, Texas.

• We recently used The Gottfried law firm for a real estate/builder issue. It was much longer and more frustrating process than we could have ever imagined but we could not have been happier to have David and Tara on our side. Front our very first meeting they were 100% honest and accountable at all times even when we didnt want to hear the news they were delivering at some points. They took the time to explain the reasoning behind their actions and requests. They always kept us pointed in the right direction even when our personal feelings started to take us a little off track. We worked with Tara Gillespie a lot and could not have been happier with her responsiveness and attention to detail. While we hope to never have to work with them again if it should happen they would be our first choice.
