This is an excellent place to live. I’ve been a resident since 2023, and I thoroughly enjoy living in this community. The staff at the office and the maintenance team are incredibly friendly and helpful. -

I have lived here for over two years and have enjoyed my time here. It is a solid apartment complex in a good quiet area. They are reasonably priced for Austin. Maintenance repairs are done quickly, usually the next day after submitting. The people in the office are friendly and helpful. The pool area is nice and laundry rooms are relatively clean. The location is great as it is near restaurants, an HEB, and the Domain. -
Review 3 (2024-04-02 - Rating: 5)
The apartment are more affordable and a bit older. Despite that, I haven’t had any issues with crime and they fix reported issues quickly, usually same day. It’s in a great location. The office and maintenance staff are wonderful to work with. It’s a great value overall. I once saw a couple of tiny roaches in my bathroom and they had pest control in that Friday. Haven’t seen a roach since, but if I do, I know who to call to get it resolved. Overall, I’m pleased with my experience living here. -

I have live here since 2013 and have been pleased to do so. It is conveniently located by many grocery stores, a major highway, and several vet clinics. The buildings are getting older and thus you do need to take some precautions. But the staff have always been helpful to me when I needed help with anything that needed fixing. It would be nice to have new appliances. And the construction on the highway is a bit of a nuisance (not the apartments fault but location-wise it is something to deal with.) In the warmer weather I enjoy the little pool with a neighbor friend. Its great to see families there and little parties on the weekends. Its never too crowded. -

I love my apartment! It is clean, everything works wells, there are no pests, and I am very comfortable. The courtyard area in between the apartments is really nice, with all the tree coverage, and I love walking by the little waterfall every time I go to grab my mail. Would definitely recommend living here. -

I’ve had a great experience here, this is my first apartment. Raven is so sweet and made the process so easy and simple for me. I’ve had two very small issues with my space since moving in but once I let maintenance know the issues where fixed immediately. Would recommend 100% -

I have been here for 3 years and I didn’t realize how awesome the staff here was until my son was in a near fatal car accident. He is currently still in rehab and will be moving in with me because he will be needing assistance for possibly the rest of his life and the support that the staff has given me has been amazing. They are currently getting a larger apartment ready for us and have assured me that they will assist me with any modifications and accommodations that we may be needing. I don’t know how I would have made it this far without their support. Thank you Ann, Raven, Asia and the rest of the staff!!! -
Review 8 (2024-04-03 - Rating: 5)
I’ve been here 3 years now, and honestly I’ve loved living here. Just because it’s an older apt, and some have had issues, doesn’t mean all the residents feel the same way. It’s close to everything, the office staff is really nice. Ann is the best property manager i’ve ever had. -
Review 9 (2024-03-06 - Rating: 5)
My first place to stay after moved to the Texas, ladies in the leasing office are always nice and friendly, and the work staffs in the complex are responsible and supportive. I would like to say thanks to all the people I met here, probably it need to be improved in terms of the hardware, but given the affordable rental rate, this is a good choice. -

It’s been a safe place living here. I definitely recommend to live the best at wind river crossing apts. ❤️ -

Review 12 (2018-07-14 - Rating: 4)
I have lived here since 2014 and would have left already if I didnt like it here. The price is right for the square footage offered, nice neighborhood, office staff is pretty good as is the maintenance staff. Like I have said in reviews of this complex on other sites, as long as you keep your expectations reasonable for what you are purchasing then you will have a great experience here! Yes, it is an older complex with older buildings and cabinets and such so things will have to be repaired. Yes, it is up against a major highway so there may be some car noises if you face the road. Yes, there may be some pest problems. Yes, you may not get along with all of your neighbors. All that being said, tell me of one place ANYWHERE (whether you rent at a more expensive location or you own your own home) where all of those things will not be an issue for you at some point. I personally have never had a roach or rat problem. We had a bit of an ant issue for a couple of days when it was raining a lot, but some bug spray took care of that. Bottom line, take some responsibility for the maintenance of the apartment you live in here, be nice to the management, and dont act spoiled when you cant afford to be spoiled! I really do love it here! They are currently in the process of doing some upkeep on the outer faces, patios and stairs for the apartments and offering an upgrade on the appliances for a bit more a month for their residents! -
Review 13 (2022-07-08 - Rating: 5)
The office staff are beyond helpful and communicate to you every step of the way! I put in an application online and with in 24 hours Frank contacted me, meeting my sense of urgency for the need of finding a new home for me and my family! He was professional and friendly. Not only did they meet the deadline Ann and Frank were patient and helped with decreasing the stress of moving into a new place with accommodations and information to help our family. Thank you so much ! The property is lovely. I cant thank you enough! -

Ive renewed my lease 3 times I love it here. Sure there are areas of improvement but Ms. Ann always was responsive and helpful. A lot of other residents have lived here since the complex was built so something is going right. May be my last year but only bc I got a serious boyfriend. -
Review 15 (2024-04-02 - Rating: 5)
We have been in this community for almost 15 years, and my familys experience has been fantastic. We have had nothing but great experiences with management and maintenance. When we have maintenance requests, management always takes care of them in a timely manner and with great professionalism. When it comes to safety and security, my family feels totally safe around the complex and around the area; we have never had any burglary in our apartment or vandalism in our cars or property at all. This area is so convenient for shopping and entertainment; we have Costco, Target, HEB, and movie theaters within 10 minutes of our home; UT Austin is only 20 minutes away; and if you like high-end shopping and great restaurants, the Domain is only 15 minutes away. If you are looking for a career move, there are many well-paid jobs in this area in the technology field, like Apple, National Instrument, and many others. Honestly, if you are looking for a place to call home, Wind River Crossing is ideal for any individual or family. -

The manager/leasing agents there is just fantastic... They care about their residents. I renewed my lease today because I really like living there and feel valued as resident😸🤓 -

I love my homeIt is complete with the beautiful landscaping. The maintenance team of Pedro and Rolando are quick to respond and true professionals. I trust them in my apartment explicitly.. They are kind and courteous just like Tomas, Sienna, Amy, and Ann as my managerial team. They are eager to do right and go out of their way to make sure that their tenants needs are met. I am happy to say that as an elderly occupant I always feel safe in my surroundings. And the pool is a blast!!! Try to call this your home...youll be glad you did! -

Review 19 (2021-08-18 - Rating: 5)
I moved here as my first apartment complex when I graduated college and moved to Austin. It is very near the Capital of Texas Highway and Hill Country, Apple, and Cedar Park. I have read other reviews and I don’t understand. I had a great experience, great rent for an excellent location, and I always had hot water (enough to take hour-long showers on Saturday mornings). The nearby neighborhood is nice too. I walked my dog there a lot and enjoyed my time here. I recently got a new lease and Wind River was prompt in filling out my rental verification form! Thank you! -
Review 20 (2020-05-21 - Rating: 4)
I have lived at Windriver for several years now and have enjoyed it, and though it has its maintenance issues at times as all other apartment complexes, the ladies and maintenance crew of Windriver are quick to handle the problems. The new outside renovation of the buildings has given it a new look and some new life which myself and the family enjoy. The environment feels safe and the neighbors kind. Any maintenance issues we have had personally with our apartment are taken care of as quickly as possible with just a send of an email. Thank you Windriver!Update: I recently moved out from Wind River Crossing (May 1st) and I wanted to thank Ann and the Maintenance Crew for making our stay the past few years a good one! The remodel looks good, and I hope whoever moves into our old apartment will enjoy their stay as well. Thank you All!Jeff -
Review 21 (2018-04-07 - Rating: 4)
I have never experienced any of the issues that seem to plague other reviewers on here. We had a few minor maintenance issues when we first moved in but they were addressed swiftly and appropriately. The water does not get shut off as much as everyone makes it sound. This is an older property with older buildings that they are working on fixing up. The rent and utilities are so affordable compared to other places in town and we love the location. So close to grocery stores, shops, hospitals, and only 20 min from downtown. We have enjoyed all our interactions with the management and front office staff thus far. -

My husband and I have been living at Windriver Crossing for over a year and we really like it here. The floorplans are great with nice laminate throughout except for the bedroom.Any requests for maintenance have been taken care of very quickly. For a location so close to both the Arboretum and the Domain the price is amazing! Heck, the price is amazing for anywhere in Austin! We dont need granite counters and stainless appliances only to have the prices hiked up for hundreds more.Kudos to the owners who only raised our rent $6 when we re-signed for another 13 months! -
Review 23 (2023-05-05 - Rating: 5)
I lived in that place for 4 years and completed my PhD at UT. It was so convenient to take the bus to the campus every day and be away from the fuss of student housing. I loved playing tennis with friends and living among professionals who worked for the large companies of the area. I loved it and I miss it. -
Review 24 (2020-09-30 - Rating: 5)
I have lived here for 15 months, and just renewed my lease. The maintenance is good and the office staff are helpful and friendly. Its a good location and prices are reasonable. The pool and gym were recently renovated. My neighbors are friendly. I definitely recommend this place. -
Review 25 (2019-01-28 - Rating: 4)
I love Wind River Crossing. It’s quiet. My neighbors are friendly. The staff is pleasant. The grounds are well maintained. They are also very responsive to maintenance requests. It’s a hidden gem in the perfect location. The water shut offs are pretty random and nonetheless frustrating at times, but the office is staff is doing a better job of giving notice when it does happen. I’ve been here two years and seriously can’t think of anywhere else I’d rather live. I’m very happy here. -
Review 26 (2023-05-04 - Rating: 4)
I dont normally leave reviews but some of these I have read are unfair. I have lived here for a decade and yes, we have had our fair share of problems. Every older complex does. The water used to go out at least once a week because they were having to shut it down to fix underground issues. That was a city issue, not a complex issue and it hasnt happened in a long time. We always got email notice beforehand, it was never just out of the blue.Bugs and rodents have been an issue but again, they always send out pest control when asked for. This problem is not due to the complex itself, its due to at least one person who hoards or is just plain dirty and refuses pest control when they come to do the whole building. Tenants have the right to do this. Ive seen the signs on the doors of some of my neighbors when they come to do the whole building. This causes critters to run to a safe place and then come back. It is frustrating, yes, but it is not the complexs fault.Maintenance has always been quick and if it is an A/C or heating issue, it is prioritized. The only slowdown I dealt with was during Covid which was understandable but these were still prioritized. If it is something the maintenance crew cant handle, they call in professionals.I think what bothers me most is the attack on the staff, Ann especially. The staff is always helpful, kind, and courteous. Ann has been outstanding and ALWAYS does what she can to assist me when I need help. Maybe people think that because she is the manager she has a magic wand and can do whatever she wants. The truth is, like most complexes, she has limits on what corporate will allow. She is the type of woman who will fight for things to get done.Maybe it is because I work in customer service and get yelled at or deal with rude people who think I have control over things that I dont so I can empathize but not once has Ann or the staff blown me off over my needs and concerns. This is why I have a hard time believing she would ever be rude or defensive to anyone.Lastly, I have lived in really nice new places and places way older than this. I have standards but I am also a realist. Older complexes have more problems but personally, I feel lucky to have a place where the staff really cares and does what they can to make it worth staying here. -
Review 27 (2019-12-03 - Rating: 5)
The building is a bit older (and less face it, less expensive), but the staff is really helpful and accommodating (especially Siana!). They really go out of their way to help you and I appreciate the work they do. The Smoke-Free policy is taken very seriously. I moved here for my smoke allergies and have had a good experience. -
Review 28 (2014-09-04 - Rating: 4)
My Fiance moved into Wind River apartments in 2010 he kept the same unit entire time, very few issues aside from a nob falling off closet or carpet cleaning. I shorty moved in two years later and loved it. Very peaceful quit and lots of dog lovers. Pool is small but used all the time Gym is well kept aside from children playing with lights although Ann head boss lady took care of that. After about four years we grew tired of old grumpy lady under us always fighting over parking spots (not assigned) or calling office when we stepped to hard (comes with living in apt) so that was annoying but our time ran out on deciding to move out. We were well below the 30 days notice of letting office know if we would be staying or moving. Although Ann (boss lady) was so nice professional about it all gave us time we needed to look at another property and in the end we deciding to upgrade to bigger unit which she allowed for us to have our choice of unit (big plus). She made the process so easy and when we were late on getting the renter insurance she still stuck by us and allowed us time to get it. I love this neighborhood ppl dont mess with your car or get in way unless you run into that old hag then god luck. Ann made this stay worth while we totally recommend this apt!! -

Amazing deal for apartments! I highly recommend speaking with Kim (she got me a great deal last year!) and Ann (excellent office manager who has always gone above and beyond for me and other tenants.)Wind River Crossing has by far prices in the area, and are very close to the Domain, DT Austin, Round Rock Outlets. Maintenance workers have been superb in keeping up with maintenance. ill continue to refer family and friends here!It also has a nice pool and lounge, BBQ pit, in unit wash dryer (depending on apartment), a dog park, plus got a scenic drive returning home on the back round!I would take the negative reviews with a grain of salt, as I have any minor or major issues taken care of 24 hours!Appreciate everything you do Ann & KimThanks,Clayton T -

Review 33 (2021-09-08 - Rating: 5)
This place is great, I moved out here right after highschool and have no complaints! The staff is always incredibly helpful and the cost of living here is a great deal, the location is great and it’s surprisingly quiet out here, you have a water problem or an ac problem very rarely and the maintenance is always fast to help if you give them a call, tenants all keep to themselves and seem nice, nothing more than an occasional head nod. Wind river crossing is a great place to live for the price and location! -
Review 34 (2019-10-18 - Rating: 5)
My credit card was scammed and at the same time my boss was not paying me. Long story short I was 2 months behind on my rent Jennifer and Ann worked with me and not only reset my court date but they worked with me to get the remaining balance paid. This place isnt perfect but the staff really does care for their tenants. Jennifer & Ann have a heart of gold and I will never forget what they did for me. -
Review 35 (2019-10-28 - Rating: 5)

I’ve only been here 2 months but no complaints so far. There have been a few water shutdowns but I think it’s due to renovations. Neighbors are quiet for the most part.Only negative is that nobody picks up after their dog despite all the available doggy bags, so watch your step. -

Review 38 (2018-06-02 - Rating: 5)
This place is safe, clean and relatively fun. Special shout out to Samantha for preventing another homeless veteran on the streets. Little actions like hers make a huge difference to feel compelled to leave an all star review. The conglomerate of Dale sucks massively as do all conglomerates that look at people like numbers, despite all the revenue we in the unprivileged class pay in late fees when life happens like midsing a week from due to illness almost made me homeless .Samantha kept a roof over my head and I paid every late cent. It came out to 50% more nonetheless kept me off the streets and with a dwelling that has converted into home. -

Living at Wind river crossing has been a pleasant experience, at the beginning of the application process the leasing agent was very kind to me, she is also a lady with a very respectful character. And when I move, the same composure, friendly and always helps me with any type of doubt or situation that arises corresponding to my apartment. The assistant manager and manager of the place are also very nice understanding and helpful people. This is my opinion about wind river crossing and its staff. When I started living in the Wind River Crossing apartments I had a very good experience. When I started the process, the leasing agent was very kind to me, and she is also a lady with a very respectful character. And when I moved in, he continued the same composure, friendly and always helping me with any type of question or situation that arises regarding my apartment. Likewise, the place assistant is a very nice and helpful person. I give my best opinion about the place and its agents -
